Lone Justice: A Tale Of The Old West Western

Rate this book
From the bestselling author of the Gideon Johann Western Series, the Wild Horse Westerns Series, and the Hand Of Western Series, comes Lone Justice!

Tucker Denhart makes his living righting the wrongs for citizens that the law can’t or won’t handle through the justice system. When necessary, he has no qualms about being judge, jury, and executioner. His occupation belies a good-natured man that cares about his clients, can spin a good yarn, and loves the ladies.

In a search for a missing businessman, Tucker finds himself in the rough and tumble town of Las Vegas in the New Mexico Territory. He soon comes up against one of the most ruthless and evil men he’s ever crossed paths with in his career. As the days progress, Tucker realizes he has his hands full trying to stay alive while solving the mystery of the missing man. During his time in the town, he stays at the Randolph Hotel where the hotel owner, the fetching Missy Foster, has him questioning his beliefs in being a confirmed bachelor. If the outlaws don’t get Tucker, love just might.

Duane Boehm has written another western novel with enough humor, heartbreak, love, and outlaws to keep you turning the page.

Duane Boehm grew up on a farm outside of Petersburg, Illinois. All the time spent driving a tractor gave him plenty of opportunity to let his imagination run wild and not tear up too much equipment. The two passions he developed early in life were the love of playing guitar and reading books.

He eventually moved to a mini-farm outside of Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his wife and replaced planting corn with trees and raising dogs. For a number of years he worked as an IT consultant and continued with being a part-time musician and songwriter. He dabbled in writing short stories with the idea in the back of his mind that someday he would write a novel. One Christmas after watching "A Christmas Carol", he was inspired to begin his journey as a novelist.

AN EXCELLENT WESTERN WITH ALL THE COMPONENTS TO MAKE IT A CLASSIC

☆☆☆☆☆

Lone Justice: A Tale Of The Old West Western by Duane Boehm is a very well-written and enjoyable novel of a mercenary for hire who has a compassion to right wrongs and dispense justice to those who prey on those who are unable to defend themselves. Tucker, our main character) who prefers the title of a private eye versus a mercenary, hires out to find out what's happened to a missing husband who is a wealthy businessman who has disappeared in Las Vegas in the mid to late 1800s.

Tucker, who is somewhat of a loner, devoted bachelor, and ladies' man, finds himself finding friendship, love, and reestablishes lost family connections all the while solving the missing persons case he's on and rescuing the damsels in distress and saving the day. It's the classic western story and at the same time it's a story that's original and full of a few different twists and turns to make the story intriguing to the reader and you will be hooked right off the bat to see Tucker save the day.

The characters are well developed and written and you'll find yourself rooting for Tucker, Missy, Homer, and Samson as they all grow individually and together in a bond that will last forever.

I truly enjoyed reading this book and hope you will also find yourself liking it.

Keeping Promises

Life is full of surprises and Tucker Denhart seems to live a surprise filled life. The intrigue and interest of meeting two young ladies during a train trip set Tucker up for a harrowing adventure. Meanwhile the avowed bachelor meets a special lady whose demeanor presents a totally different life surprise to Tucker. A combination of integrity and harrowing adventure brings Tucker to some new realizations about himself. Another fun western read from Mr. Boehm.

One of His Best

I've read all of his books and have found each to be top notch. Quality of writing is excellent, characters are varied, interesting and well developed. The storylines are intriguing and there is sufficient action. I've stated in previous reviews that I find his dialogue between characters to be that which sets his books apart from most of his peers in this genre. This book is no exception, I believe it to be one of his best!👏

Great read and highly recommended

I haven’t read for pleasure in 30 plus years until I purchased a used Kindle for myself. This was one of the first books that I found to read other than some old Louis Lamour books.

From the start this book pulled me in and I wanted to read. It moved really well and I couldn’t put it down. I will read another book from the author for sure.

Very Different

Frankly have a hard time believing Duane Bohem wrote this unless it was his first book and just now got it published. Not a bad book. Just not a good one like I expected from having read his others multiple times.

Very enjoyable book

Boehm's Lone Justice is an excellent western. Interesting characters, engaging story with a little humor thrown in. I hope the author has or will write additional novels following these same individuals.

Lone Justice is a winner

A story with all you expect in a western; action, adventure, good guys and bad guys. Perhaps a little romance thrown in for good measure. You can never go wrong with a book written by Duane Boehm.

Too much?

I enjoyed the novel, however it seemed that the author had three really good story ideas and instead of writing three good books, he incorporated all three into one. Not simultaneously mind you, but linearly, which made the book seem way too long.

Truly excellent mental adventure

Excellent story good chase and rescue. The relationship between rider and horse was laid out very well. The love story was even better. Some insites should be required reading for 25 to 45 year old unmarried men.

Good book

Tucker felt he was able to find justice when others were not able to and charged a good amount for his abilities in doing so. Good story and great ending.
