The world building needs help but the concept is good and the potential is definitely there.
The general concept of the planet and tribes is easy to understand, but the nitty gritty details of the landscape and technology feels rushed and incomplete. It’s difficult to fully describe how it was lacking, but the amount of details put into some parts of the tech and world were not consistent through the series.
Since there are holes in the world’s history, gaps and questions are to be expected, but as the MC’s explore more of the world, there are literally no more answers which, I think, was a grave oversight on the author’s part. They could have written each book to reveal a little more of the history of the Makers, the tribe, and the planet but instead they only encountered more questions, learning nothing new.
Then the overarching story starts to take a left turn during book 6 and barely has anything to do with abandoned cities and towers. Book 7 ends with a completely different overarching story than what it began with and left me frustrated and angry.
The Thaxian warrior's world became a whole lot more interesting when human women began dropping out of the sky and started showing up in the most peculiar places. I thoroughly enjoyed tagging along as these brave women began their new life and explored this dangerous world. Every one of these seven stories was exciting, fast-paced, and filled with strange exotic lands and an array of deadly critters. Don't Miss this great adventure. Really Good Read!!!!!
Nice interconnected series of stories - read in order. Good world building, great character development through 5 or 6 different species. Nice survivalist hints (!) as the ladies land on the world that time ( and the galaxy consortium!) forgot! The old civilization on the planet was not pretty, but the "human females" bring the change, big time. It is interesting to think about how a male only, warrior society would evolve over the long haul. Enjoyed.
The authors did a really good job of weaving together a whole world with a complex system very inventive. I enjoyed the background information and story lines. I liked each of the books obviously as with any series I liked some more than others. But overall a great read and given some time I probably will read the whole series again from start to finish
Well this was a little different. Interesting new world building and groups of life that developed in an interesting way. The race that creates the other races has killed itself off through its own arrogance leaving behind their creation. Then they meet female women and everything changes. Not a bad story and little bits of history discovered by the races left behind.
I have mixed feelings about the series. It was a huge undertaking. Building a whole planet with so many different species, the back story of the makers, all the different areas. I enjoyed the different romances. The males were so sweet and protective. The women were open to a new life. But the overall stories felt long, and much more sci fi than romance.
These stories are entertaining but the alien backgrounds/mysteries are very hard to imagine. It’s almost like a splat of gibberish, here and there. Also, the ease of figuring things out is.. somewhat unbelievable. However, overall entertaining with steam.. —PTATORS
I just love reading this series, every book has had a well written storyline, been entertaining and the characters are wonderful. I can't wait to read the more from this author. I received these books individually as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
Good books. Loved all the adventure and different monsers and creepie crawlies. Each story was so different but connected by the girls. A little to much sexie time for me but not to bad. Lol. Fun books. Could have gone on to more adventures......
Too much repetitive story. Still left ship unaccounted for girls settled on new planet each with different tribe which brought everyone together but still some women left but I’m sure they will find a mate. I will not follow
