Knox Ross is renowned for his expertise as an archer and tracker, as well as his charmingly rogue behavior. He doesn’t mind the reputation—it keeps him safely out of the marriage spotlight. Conveniently, the only woman who might make him consider settling down remains immune to his charms, which suits him just fine. However, when a crisis brings them together, their dynamic shifts in unexpected ways.
Sencha MacTavish leads a content, if somewhat dull, life and is resistant to change. Only one man does capture her attention, but she refuses to fall for his charms, fearing she’ll end up discarded like so many others. Yet when her uncle is accused of murder, it’s Knox who steps forward, willing to risk everything to help.
Bestselling author Hildie McQueen loves unusual situations and getting into interesting adventures, which is what her characters do as well. She writes romance because she is in love with love! Author of Romance in Highland historical, Western Historical and contemporary, she writes something every reader can enjoy.
Most days she can be found in her pajamas hiding from deliverymen while drinking tea from her David Gandy coffee mug. In the afternoons she browses the Internet for semi-nude men to post on Facebook.
Hildie's favorite past-times are romance conventions, traveling, shopping and reading.
She resides in beautiful small town Georgia with her super-hero husband Kurt, an unruly boy Chihuahua Pepito and a spoiled rotten girl Chiweenie named Lola.
Murder, Mystery, Bonfire Dance, Discovering Forever Love Wow! hold on to your seats for this intensely gripping romance murder mystery story. A gripping story that follows Knox and Sencha into a beautiful flirtatious budding romance where a sparkling Bonfire Dance will light the torch of desire that puts them on a path of discovering an everlasting love along with solving a who did it murder? The first half of the book introduced me to the intriguing characters along with a dastardly crime but the second half deals with an emotionally enticing romance story that has a wonderful happy ever after ending.
Knox & Sencha. I still have questions. Her uncle is accused of killing a fisherman so she attempts to figure out who is framing her uncle. There is a boy that might have seen her uncle the day of the unaliving. What happened to this boy? We get his name and they go to find him but we never hear anything about him.
We never find out why the actual killer did it. We only find out that he did it because he attempts to unalive both Sencha and Knox when they come to investigate separately.
Will we get a book for Knox’s guard buddies? Like the one who wanted the widow?

I was looking forward to Knox’s story and I am not disappointed. Knox, is cousin to the Laird Ross but was raised as a brother. He is also a well known rogue. Sencha has always harbored an affection for Knox but would not allow herself to be one of the many women in his life. But when her uncle was accused of murder and Knox came forward to help prove his innocence, Sencha began to see a new side to Knox and he began to feel more for her.
I loved adding this adventure to the series I already love. The adventure was very interesting and exciting! The characters were awesome!!! I hope you write about Hendry! I would love to read his story and see if he gets with the widow. It would be a very interesting story. Thanks for sharing your series with me!!!
Knox is as stubborn as any warrior, however his lass Sencha was equal to him. Both main characters are strong and good. Hildie McQueen has a well written thought out plot in her book "The Falcon". The story captured my heart from the beginning to the end. For sure a 5 star read.
This was an enjoyable read. I wouldn’t say Knox and Sencha are my favorite and it felt like there were multiple sub plots that were set up and resolved quickly that I didn’t actually get invested in any of them. I’m actually looking forward to the story between Hendry and Ailith most out of this book.
Another great story by Hildie McQueen. I enjoy how she weaves her characters together by friendships and shared life stories. As you read, you begin to think of her characters as friends, excited to find out their adventures, fears and loves. It's very hard to close the story and return to real life. I'm anxious to get started reading her next book.
I love this whole series and the falcon which is booked number four was a great story. I wish the author would go on and tell Hendry’s story. I’m sorry that this book has ended but onto the next book. I would suggest the series to anyone that enjoys reading romance novels that take you away.
I liked this book and have enjoyed the series. I like the characters and the plot. There is a connection between the characters. There isn't a lot of spice, but it isn't without heat.
This book is packed with mystery, murder, love and emotions. Highlander customs abound. Dangers are always near. Lots of action here. I gave 5 stars and recommend it to mature audiences.
What a lovely story with an excellent storyline and characters. Knox and Sencha love story.Another great story from Hildie, I look forward to the next book in the series
