So, if you didn’t know before, you do now—I’m a Sandra Brown fangirl. Funnily enough, that lands me in somewhat of a predicament. What can I say about her work that I haven't already?

♦ Perfect mix of suspense and romance? Nope. Said it.Mean Streak
♦ Spot on with the dialogue? Mentioned that one, too.Lethal
♦ Her writing gets me every time? Sure does.Friction
♦ Queen of epic plot twists? Yup. Oh how I love getting duped.Sting
♦ Tension and an underlying sexiness? Don’t I know it.Seeing Red

I’ve got it, I’ve got it; something I haven’t said in quite so many words—her men are utter perfection. Not in an obvious cardboard cutout kind of way, but more of a brooding bad boy with a jaded outlook on life that just so happens to have a loyal heart under all that cockiness. *Swoon* There’s no denying, Dent—the guy at the center of Low Pressure—is a little rough around the edges. All it takes is the right woman armed with a belt sander to smooth those out though, right? Cue Ms. Bellamy.

It's the media attention surrounding Bellamy’s debut fiction release—a book inspired by the true account of her older sister Susan’s murder—that brings her and Dent face-to-face. Eighteen years after that fateful Memorial day picnic, absent her teenage crush and with a stalker in tow, Bellamy tracks Dent down to get his take on her version of events. What she finds is a man who's pissed off about the book and still harboring a serious grudge against her family. I guess being named as a prime suspect in your girlfriend's murder investigation would do that though. The ending of Bellamy's book culminates in a way that leaves the entire investigation open to interpretation, thrusting all of the key players back into the spotlight. Did the investigators get it right?—was the killer sent to prison or is he out there somewhere?

With his moral compass and urge to be a fierce protector, Dent won my heart pretty early on. I'm telling you, I think it would be pretty impossible not to fall for this guy. The sarcastic banter between him and Bellamy—and who am I kidding, the innuendoes—made the story for me. Undeniable chemistry is everything in my book and these two had it in spades.

“We rub each other the wrong way.”
“We could rub each other till we get it right.”

Aside from the sexual tension running rampant throughout her storylines, I appreciate Sandra Brown's penchant for obscuring the truth. While I may have had a tiny niggling in the back of my mind this time around that a certain someone might be involved—what can I say, I’m a skeptic—my theories never evolved to the point that I pieced together the ending. So kudos to Ms. Brown for not only duping me again, but for making me fall for another cast of characters.

I honestly didn’t expect to like this one as much as I did. It started off slow but around the 30% mark, in true SB form she throws in a twist in and I was hooked.

I really enjoyed the two main characters, Denton Carter and Bellamy Lyston Price. But in the best of SB books she always surrounds them with a cast of secondary characters that are fantastic and in this one I think they are what kept me so engaged.

There is Gall Hathaway which is the only one that Denton considered family. He provided for some humor and was my favorite. Then you have a tabloid writer Rocky Van Durbin who just annoyed me and a crazy ass guy named Ray Strickland. Dale Moody was a homicide detective and Rupe Collier was the ADA. Rupe was such prick, did not like him at all but Dale wasn’t a bad guy and he grew on me. Then you have Bellamy’s family; Olivia her stepmom, Howard her dad and Steven her stepbrother. And at the center of the story is Susan, her dead sister. I thought it was worth mentioning all of them because the way the story unfolds, each of them have their own voice within chapters and having a little cheat sheet might be helpful.

Bellamy Price ~ was a girl that was beautiful on the outside but concealed her sadness and pain on the inside.

 photo 9d0af77d-b409-46e8-a232-5e37351fda9f_zps72170670.jpg

Denton Carter ~ He was broody, sexy and a bit cocky. Loved that he was a pilot, that just added to his sexiness.

Low Pressure is the title of a book that Bellamy has written. It was never her intention to cause any additional pain to those who have been affected, but it was her way of trying to let go of the demons that remained with her.

On Memorial Day, eighteen years ago not only did a tornado destroy a family picnic, it also marked the death of her sister Susan. Bellamy was only 12 when it happened but her need to remember and her need to know what really happened drives her to the publish this book which instantly throws her back to that very day.

 photo a842db9d-bad9-4313-a97b-0ed2a7427d66_zps19122bf0.jpg

The few things that Dent loved in his life were his red Corvette, his plane and Gall.

 photo cdef3685-b2b3-44a6-ae29-2396713a715b_zps0ca1052d.jpg

When the publicity of Low Pressure draws attention to him and the things he loves, once again he finds himself answering the same questions that were asked of him 18 years ago. Being a suspect in Susan’s murder was the catalyst in his life causing him to crash and burn. But Dent decides to use this as a chance to finally get some answer and to clear his name.

Dent wasn't the only one frustrated with this book. For some, having what happened 18 years ago resurface, meant only trouble. For others it meant remembering a painful time. And for one in particular it meant vengeance.

The suspense in this one was constant which kept me questioning everyone. You know me, I thought I had it figured out but in the end I was wrong. I was close though!! The romance was one of a very very slow simmer. There was a little bit here and there but it wasn't until after the 80% mark that Bellamy and Dent get down to business. Though I enjoyed them, they were not my favorite couple. In the end I was happy with where they landed.

This one was good, not Envy great but it was good. If you are a Sandra Brown fan it certainly is worth the read!!

I started this book twice and gave up. I even posted gifs stating that I was bored. So I put it aside. The I saw this review ...

Sharon's wonderful review

I thought to myself, "Mmmm, now Sharon and myself like a lot of the same books. We LOVE most of the SB books we have read, so what was I missing here?" Decided to give it another shot. I mean, a bad SB book for me is a GOOD book. I started again from the beginning 'cos, as you know, at my age, the memory isn't the greatest. I swear I thought I was reading a completely different book. I was hooked from the beginning.

Dent is your typical taciturn SB hero, gruff, living alone, existing. Loved him.

“...I have a healthy respect for gravity. The ground is always there, trying to pull you down. It's the most important thing to keep in mind.”

Bellamy has written a novel. It is supposed to be fiction but it is based on events that happened 18 years ago that had a devastating effect on her family. She has brought the story to the notice of the public and somebody is not happy.

But when a sleazy reporter for a tabloid newspaper discovers that the book is based on a real crime, Bellamy's identity - and dark family secrets -- are exposed. Suddenly, she finds herself embroiled in a personal conflict and at the mercy of her sister's killer, who for almost two decades has gotten away with murder...and will stop at nothing to keep it that way.

As with a SB book we had a list of characters that we could be suspicious of. I did have it figured out before I finished the book. That did not deter me from enjoying the end of the book.

The silence in the cabin was so prolonged and absolute that Dent imagined he could hear the dust motes spinning in the stifling air.

"I cared. I cared like hell ..."

Sex scenes. I think there was one big one... and it was HOT. It is the build up, it is the anticipation. Love the way Ms Brown writes these.

Bellamy Lyston Price's sister Susan was murdered at their father's company picnic in Austin, Texas 18 years ago.

A teenage boy, Allan Strickland, was convicted of the murder.

However Bellamy is still haunted by unanswered questions and writes a novel to expunge the incident from her mind.

When the best-selling book is revealed to be based on a true story many people with something to hide - including police, the prosecutor, relatives, witnesses, etc. - get antsy about the renewed publicity and Bellamy experiences frightening threats and break-ins.

Meanwhile Bellamy hires Dent Carter to fly her family to Houston for her father's medical treatment. It happens that Dent was Susan's boyfriend at the time of the murder and was fingered by Susan's parents as a prime suspect, which he still resents.

However, Bellamy and Dent eventually form an uneasy alliance to look into Susan's murder and discover that witnesses lied, the police and prosecutor wanted to convict someone at any cost, Ray Strickland (Allan's brother) is bent on revenge, and Susan wasn't the innocent her parents portrayed.

Of course Bellamy and Dent have a strong attraction for each other, which he pursues and she resists. Sandra Brown does a skillful job developing the characters and revealing clues to the murder. For me the obligatory romance in the story was an unnecessary distraction but I enjoyed the book and recommend it to mystery lovers.

It's been awhile since I struggled to finish a book as much as this one. After reading the sensational book Lethal, I had high hopes and expectations for this one. Unfortunately, this one fell way short.

The chemistry that was so scorching and believable in Lethal was missing in this book. I love romantic suspense novels, and I would concede that it is difficult to find a book that can balance both the romance and the suspense plots equally.

Low Pressure tells the story of a woman who is trying to deal with the murder of her sister. She has repressed memories from the night her sister was killed and has written a "fictional" book that rehashes the night of the tornado that changed so many lives forever. There was a trial, and a man was convicted of the murder, but Bellamy fears that an innocent man was framed for the murder.

Add in a host of secondary characters: the convicted man's brother who is bent on revenge, a guilt ridden prosecutor in the case, Bellamy's sisters former boyfriend, his father figure, and a terminally ill father, and you have a fairly intricate plot to dissect.

Unfortunately, I was never invested in any of the characters enough to care. Dent's character was never particularly attractive to me and Bellamy got on my nerves almost immediately. The suspense plot was fairly easy to see and I was able to guess what was going on before it was revealed.

This was a miss for me, but Lethal was a complete hit. I guess there are different strokes for different folks, and this one was not for me.

A big thanks to Grand Central Publishing for providing me with an ARC for review!!!

As a huge, Sandra Brown's fan, I'm committed to trying to read all of her books. Every time I have downtime, or I had read a few books that didn't cut it for me, I revert back to something I know I'm going to enjoy.

Low Pressure is full of suspense, romance, intrigue and great plot twists which is not unusual for Mrs. Brown's arsenal of amazing books.

From the first chapter, I knew it was going to be a good one.

Bellamy Lyston Price has written a novel about a murder. She has based her book, Low Pressure on a real-life event, her sister Susan's murder. When Bellany was twelve, during a Memorial day festivity, a tornado hit their party and soon after, her sister was found murdered.

Susan's boyfriend at the time, Denton Carter was the prime suspect. Yet, Dent denied ever being around the park and he had a firm alibi. He was flying a plane with his soon to be boss, Gall Hathaway.

Susan's family, her father, Howard (who is dying of cancer), her step-mother, Olivia and her step-brother, Steven are very unhappy about the book. Susan's murder affected all of them eighteen years ago and having the wound opened again is hurting them now. It doesn't help that Rocky Van Durbin, a sensationalist reporter won't let the matter go. Furthermore, there are many others who are unhappy with what Low Pressure has stirred, Dale Moody was the cop who investigated the murder, Rupe Collier was the DA at the time and Ray Strickland is obsessed with hurting Bellamy and Dent since his brother was the one who paid for Susan's murder when Ray is sure his brother was innocent.

Low Pressure is another winner. I loved the audio as much as the Kindle. As always, the characters are well-developed and the storyline is an interesting one. I didn't love Denton as much as I've loved the other male characters. I did like Bellamy a lot.

I can't wait to read another book by this great author.

The main plot line of the book is interesting, but the "romance" is extremely disturbing, as repeatedly the author -- a woman -- seems to be communicating that when a woman says "no" to sex, she does not really mean no. However unintentional this may have been, this message is not one that we need to perpetuate in our society.

Maybe it wasn't the right time for me to read this book, because I didn't enjoy it.
I wonder if my rating is valid as I only read the first 200 pages. Nevertheless what I read was boring, predictable and unoriginal. Mostly I didn't enjoy the characters, especially the lead female, a self-righteous, colorless, rich girl that didn't think about the consequences of her actions (= writing a book about her family secrets without giving the heads-up to all involved). I so didn't like Bellamy from the get-go and I knew that she and the pilot, Dent, were going to be lovers - all so tediously predictable.

To deliver successful and enjoyable read, I think it’s so important for the author to grasp the reader from the start, with either an original plot, authentic characters, or well-written dialogues. None of that was present in the first 200 pages, and I gave up because I knew I was wasting my time if I continued, just to be totally honest.

Audio of book with Stephen Lang once again. His rendition of the heroine was a little bland and flat, but the heroine was bland and flat so perhaps that was his direction. Another well done job on narration.

The narration and some of the plot surrounding the evil-doer of a decades crime eventually being exposed amongst some contrived shenanigans that makes this doable.

3 star suspense with 2 star characters. None very likable.

I am a fan of Sandra Brown and have read most of her releases throughout the years. I find that most of her books can be classified as ‘easy reading’ in that they do not require a great deal of emotional investment and you can generally get through them in one day. ”Low Pressure” is no exception.

I, personally, prefer books that involve me a bit more. I like to have to work at guessing who the killer is and, hopefully, the ‘why’ as well. I like to identify with the heroine and I like to find the hero at least attractive, if not admirable. I didn’t find that connection present in “Low Pressure”.

I never had a good picture of Dent Carter (the hero) other than he was the pre-requisite ‘neglected child/bad boy’ type considered not suitable to date the society girl from the ‘right side of the tracks and that he was redeemed by his love of flying. Bellamy, the heroine, you have even less of a feel for. She was the younger sister with a crush on her older sister’s boyfriend. She seems to me to be a little too ‘un-worldly’ for the role she is cast in, that of a best selling author who comes home for her father’s final illness. She seems somehow removed from the event that is at the heart of the story and the impression, one that is shared by most of the characters in the story, is that her sister’s murder is important only as the basis for her best seller. True, the reason for this is revealed later in the book but it is too little to late for the reader to develop any empathy with a character we really feel no connection with.

I enjoyed “Low Pressure” but I was never really ‘immersed’ in it. An enjoyable read for a day at the beach and for that I recommend it.

Good twist at the end but I didn’t care for the heroine and how the bad guy - who was supposedly really dumb - was running amok, hurting people without the police catching him.

My first issue with Bellamy, the heroine, is that she writes a book about the murder of her sister at a time when her father is dying of cancer. WTH? Her excuse is that she wrote it under an pseudonym but who wouldn't figure out who the murder was about when it was so salacious? Pretty soon, she's discovered and all the upsetting details of the murder at back in the limelight. AT A TIME WHEN HER FATHER IS BATTLING CANCER!!! What kind of daughter is this?

My second issue with Bellamy was how insecure she was, based on the words of her sister, who by all accounts was a nasty piece of work. She passes the time bemoaning how she wasn't as beautiful as her sister, bla, bla, bla. I could understand her being hurt when she was a child but as a grown up, you should have some perspective! I really don't know what the hero saw in her.

And now that we mention the sister, I know Sandra Brown has been writing books for a long time so some of her tropes are a bit old school, but can we stop with the implications that promiscuity --> death? The sister got murdered because she was EVIL, not because she liked to get it on.

Two things I liked about the book: the solution to the murder, which I figured out once an important clue was dropped, but it was still great. The whole thing made sense in how terrible it was. Second, was the hero's love of flying. You could tell that was the love of his life.

Overall though, the heroine and the bad guy's plot took over too much of the story to be anything but eye-rolling.

4.25 Surprising Stars!

I ended up liking this more than I thought. It was thrilling and the story was laid out in layers and and the reveals are done slowly and by all the different characters.

This was a very well written thrilling story that I thought I had figured out but the last couple of chapters twisted and turned and my assumptions were dead wrong. I wasn't even close.

And though this one tragedy affected the lives of so many, it ends with a bit of romance and a conclusion that's hopeful.

***Audiobook***
I do want to say that the narrator was really really good. He was able to distinguish his voice for all the many different characters, even the female characters. His characterizations were all appropriately conducted to what the scene and character called for and the whole 13+ hours were engaging. ::claps::

Bellamy and Dent

3.5 stars

Tight suspense plot and so-so romance. A lot of players but done very well.

Full review on Fiction Vixen Book Reviews

Sandra Brown is known for her strong romantic suspense novels. I have always been a fan. Low Pressure is the title of a book written by our main protagonist Bellamy Lyston Price and also happens to be the title of this book.

As with most other Sandra Brown books there are many players. We have our main couple of Dent and Bellamy, Bellamy’s family which includes her parents and step-brother, Dent’s surrogate father Gall, a jerk tabloid writer, a stalker, the ADA from trial, the crusty old cop who investigated the murder, the man found guilty, and the brother of the man found guilty. Each person plays a role in the story and they all have their own chapters and voices. This made for a particularly long book coming in at almost 500 pages.

Bellamy wrote Low Pressure as a way to exercise some demons from a long ago Memorial Day. It was a day where her family picnic was destroyed by a F5 tornado and a day where her sister was found murdered among the tornado rubble. Bellamy was only 12 years old when it happened so her recollection of the day is not a great one. In fact, as she is rehashing the story she realizes that she has blank spots in her memory. By telling the story she has brought a lot of things to the public eye and embarrassed a lot of people.

It was never her intention for anyone to know who wrote the story or that is was a true story. She wrote the book under a name she picked out of the phone book and refused any mentions of publicity. That all changed one day when a nosy tabloid reporting dug up her name and splashed it around exposing old wounds in her family and everyone involved in the murder.

Dent was Susan’s boyfriend at the time of the murder. He was also suspect number one considering they had a fight on the morning of the murder. Dent was training to be a pilot and took a flight over attending the BBQ with Susan thus causing the fight.

The best way to review a complex book like this might be to explain what part each player has in the story. The plot kind of develops from what each person does or says.

Bellamy- The sister of the deceased and the author of the book. She wrote the book to exercise demons but in doing so she raised so many more. She has made someone very angry at her, angry enough to leave threatening notes and break into her home and car. In the retelling of the story she figures out that her memory isn’t really the best and she is blocking something. She hooks up with Dent in order to figure out what the truth actually is.

Dent- The deceased’s boyfriend. Supposedly had an alibi on the night of the murder but when retelling the story Bellamy figures out that she saw him at the BBQ. So the alibi he had, had been a false one. He has lost everything since the murder. He used to be a pilot for a major airline but now he doesn’t even have that. He spent his savings to buy his own plane but that was destroyed by the same person who is stalking Bellamy. He is a bit of jerk and, IMO, pressures Bellamy for sex. I am not sure what his redeeming qualities would be. Here is a quote from Dent on how he was for most of the book. Very callous and cranky.

“Don’t sweat it, Bellamy, I asked, you-”

“Funny. I don’t recall you asking.”

“Maybe not in so many words, but, just FYI, in a crotch-grinding embrace, when a man’s got his tongue in your mouth and his hand on your ass, it’s a pretty safe bet on what he has in mind. I asked, you said no. He shrugged with supreme indifference and returned his attention to the traffic. He lifted his foot off the brake. The car rolled forward only a few yards before he had to brake again.

“You should have known better than to try,” she said. “You’re the one who remarked on my TFR. Except that it’s not temporary. I don’t relate well to men in that way. I never have.”

“Well that creates a communication problem for us.”

“Why should it?”

“Because ‘that way’ is the only way I relate to women.”

Olivia and Howard- Bellamy’s dad and step-mom. This was the second marriage for both of them but they have always been absolutely devoted to each other. Her dad is dying from cancer and her step-mom is lost without him. Neither of them liked Dent and thought he was trouble for Susan.

Steven- Bellamy and Susan’s step-brother. He revealed he is gay and was tortured by Susan. She would crawl into bed with him and come on to him in very sexual ways. He had every reason to want her dead. He says he went to the boathouse to look for beer that day at the BBQ but Bellamy is quite aware that he does not like beer. The boathouse is where Susan was right before she was found strangled. Steven has also distanced himself from his family in order to forget the past completely.

Rupe Collier- Former ADA, now a used car salesman who says it pays better than law. The case for Allen Strickland was a circumstantial one but somehow ADA made it stick. After the trial the files magically disappeared so as to not call into question the shakiness of what went on. He is now running scared from the mess that Bellamy has brought back up.

Detective Moody- A crusty old cop that has never been able to get the case out of his mind. It has haunted him ever since he left the force. He now lives alone and relies on alcohol to get him through the day. He was never convinced Allen Strickland was the one who did the deed. Susan was assumed to have been strangled with her own underwear, a pair of underwear that was never found. He always thought that if he could have found the underwear he would have the real culprit.

Van Duren- Annoying man who won’t leave Bellamy alone. He is obsessed with anything and everything that has to do with this case.

Jerry- Bellamy’s biggest fan or also known as her biggest stalker. He somehow shows up everywhere she is. What is his motive and does he have anything to do with the threats?

Allen Strickland- A blue collar worker that took the fall for Susan’s murder. Two years into his sentence he is killed in prison.

Ray Strickland- Brother of Allan Strickland and set up to be the bad guy. He is the one that is obviously behind the break ins and vandalism directed towards Bellamy and Dent. He has always believed his brother was innocent and is now pissed about the book rehashing everything. He is violent and unpredictable.

The suspense plot is pretty tight but drawn out. There are a lot of details to go through. You are left wondering until the very end if the right man was arrested and convicted. There are so many people presented that could have committed the murder that I jumped from character to character thinking they had to be the bad guy. It is very well written and leaves you guessing.

Interwoven with that suspense is the developement of Bellamy and Dent’s relationship. It is done in a believable way yet I don’t know if I bought it. It wasn’t instant love, maybe instant lust on Bellamy’s part, but took time to bloom. However, they didn’t seem to fit as a couple. They were on different paths and from different paths. I wish I could have liked Dent more but he was an arse and not one that ever redeemed himself. I don’t think I got enough of his background to ever feel any sympathy for where he ended up. I never connected with him in the way I normally connect with my heroes.

Overall, this is a classic Sandra Brown book. It is well written with a great depth of story telling. If you are looking for something that will hook and make you want to keep reading to see how it ends then this will be the book for you. Final grade- B-

Favorite Quote:

When he turned and saw her, an odd expression came over his face.

“What?” she asked.

He shook his head slightly, then gave a wolfish grin. “I was just thinking how good it looks on you.”

“Your shirt?”

“Debauchery.”

Eighteen years ago, Bellamy Price's 16 year old sister, Susan, was murdered at their family's Memorial Day barbecue. Minutes later a tornado tore through the grounds destroying all of the evidence needed to solve the crime. However, an arrest was made, the accused was found guilty and sent to prison.

Eighteen years later, with too many unanswered questions, Bellamy Lyston Price writes a novel based on Susan's murder. Written as fiction and using a pseudonym, a seedy reporter quickly discovers that the novel is based on a true crime and exposes Bellamy's true identity and her family's secrets.

Bellamy starts receiving threats as the book has quickly opened old wounds that trigger the uncertainty of guilt of the convicted murderer.

Ms. Brown introduces an impressive cast of characters as well as a multitude of possible suspects. Full of twists and turns, suspense and romance this novel is sure to be another of Ms. Brown's best-sellers.

Another beautiful novel, can't wait to read more novels made by this author. I was really moved by now the story progresses and the interactions of the different characters:)

Picked this up at the airport, desperate to read something. It was a perfect read for that purpose, much the same way trashy magazines are. I had hoped from the cover blurb for a bit more to it though. I figured out who the killer was three chapters in. Had not figured out the motive until half way through, but was close enough it didn't matter. The red herrings are explained almost as quickly as they are introduced. I was a little appalled at the heroine's behavior, with regard to dying relatives in particular, especially at the end. I was equally unnerved by (or tired of) this sub-genre's formulaic need to push the angel-whore dynamic and requirement that the heroine have a prudish nature that has to be overcome by the hero, no matter how thin -and this case ludicrous - that reason is, especially just to justify the inevitable soft-porn in the middle of the book. But if you want a fast read with short-handed stereotypes to push the story along, and want to indulge your inner-adolescent girl's daydream, when bad-boy makes good was the ideal of romance, this will fit the bill.

3.5 Stars - You can always count on Sandra Brown for good Romance/Suspense. I'm such a fan of her writing and twisted plot lines with last minute shockers. While I enjoyed Low Pressure, it fell a little short compared to some of her other books. I think what it was lacking for me was the page turning intensity I associate with most Brown books - in both the plot and the character chemistry. I never completely connected to these characters nor felt the heart racing pace of other books. Having said that, it's still an intriguing read that twists & turns right through the end. A Must Read for fans of R/S!

Solid 3.5 Stars!

When I’m in the mood for excellent Romantic Suspense I can always count on Sandra Brown, I'm a huge fan of her writing. With her many twist and turns in her plot lines and normally (for me) surprise endings. While I did enjoy Low Pressure, I didn’t enjoy it as much as some of her other books, I think it didn’t have the intensity I’m used to with most of her books.

Lastly, I really didn’t connect to these characters, I think I’m in the minority here. I can’t put my finger on why I didn’t connect, but I definitely wasn’t invested in them as a couple. Regardless it’s still a good read with the aforementioned twists & turns right till the end.

I received this book through Goodreads First Reads.

This is more of a 2 1/2 star rating with it being rounded up to three because I did enjoy the twist at the end. I think I guessed every other person the real murder ended up being aside from the person it actually was. To me, it didn't seem as obvious but that was the one thing I liked about this book, that it kept you guessing until the end. Aside from that, there wasn't much else I actually liked about it. What killed it for me was Bellamy and Dent, I felt as two separate characters they were decent enough but as a pair? I didn't think they had much chemistry at all. Even more so when I felt the romance between them was extremely forced and it didn't make sense at all on how Dent fell for her. It didn't feel natural, that the author was just trying to get the two of them together and was going the quickest way about it. At one point it felt like Bellamy just gave in to it and that's not the way it should be.

Even with a predictable plot, Brown wrote a tight-knit story without exaggerated twists. Unfortunately, an absence of chemistry between MCs did make them a rather dull, uninteresting couple:/

#51 for 2017 RC
Genre : Suspense, Thriller

Selama 18 tahun Bellamy mencoba mencari tahu siapa sebenarnya pembunuh kakaknya, Susan.

My first love, Sandra Brown. Doesn't disappoint and always delivers. Another suspenseful tale where Bellamy Price tries to get closure for her sister's death 18 years prior. She writes a book in the hopes of getting clarity and peace but instead a whole can of worms is opened. She finds an ally in the most unlikely person, Dent Carter, her sister's boyfriend at the time. It was thrilling and griping with all the twists and turns, and I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Orgasmic aftershocks? Cupped her mound? These awfully written bedroom scenes were bad enough, but having two main characters who are so shallow and idiotic means a book can never get more than one star.
(Not to mention the repeated “no” of the female regarding these ridiculously written scenes was beyond cringe worthy, and I found it surprising a woman would write this. Just keep acting like a hormone driven, teenage boy and you’ll get that girl to give in boys! )
Bellamy is a simpering fool. Who writes a bestseller based on her life and then acts SHOCKED when people want to know about the story?
Dent is a pathetic male who can’t think past his pants.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s gross to have characters sexually involved with two sisters?? Yuck.

I came to read this Hardback book as a fluke. I was visiting my neighbor and she out of the blue gave me this book by Sandra Brown.
I was hooked as soon as I started reading it. However, I didn't like the vulgar language. I probably would have rated it lower but the plot was excellent and well written.
I recommend this book. Will I read this book again. Not sure yet. The jury is still out on that.

Aaaa aku suka banget buku ini! Sejauh ini, Low Pressure adalah buku SB favoritku.

Semua elemennya benar-benar memuaskan.
