I love James Collin’s books! He always explains everything so well! This is a great book for you if you’re going through something devastating or stressful. This is the book to read. If you just want to learn more about how to overcome things in a positive way, this is the book to read. The reason it took me so long to read is because I like to study at the same time and it takes me a while to get through it when I’m studying as well. He starts out telling us how to Overcome The Big Lie. Then on through the book he tells us how to Overcome Stress. And it’s like that all throughout the book. I enjoyed reading so much. It helped me abundantly. I understood all that I read because it was explained so clearly. Recommend to all to read and learn more about how to be a positive overcomer in Christ.

Quote from book:

“You need the point of God’s word.” “Whatever tempts you, find a verse of scripture to address your temptation. Then when you are tempted, use your verse to rebuke the devil with the point of God’s word.”

A Timely Book
Life is filled with challenges and our reactions or responses determine whether we will be an overcomer or be overcome. The author deals with nine challenges that every human will face at some point. He carefully explains and brings hope, grounded in scripture. As Christians we look to Jesus who overcame every challenge we will ever face. He alone is our example. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has grown weary and needs a guide filled with hope and faith.

Wow! This book is really short, but it’s full of wisdom and practical advice on how to overcome challenges in our walk with God. Collins goes through several different areas, including overcoming fear, spiritual deadness, loss, and he’ll. He intermingles scripture with hilarious stories and personal experiences, and his Midwest Baptist humor will have you rolling in your seat. The advice he gives is advice that every Christian should hear. This book may not become a New York Times bestseller, but heck, it doesn’t have to. It’s still a book that should be read by any Evangelical who is facing a challenge in their walk with Jesus, or any lost individual who longs to be an overcomer.

A delightful Read

James Collins’ The Overcomer is a heartfelt and practical guide to facing life’s toughest challenges with faith. From the very first chapter, it feels as though Collins is speaking directly to you, offering wisdom and encouragement for moments of stress, fear, or loss. He weaves relatable stories with biblical truths, making this book both engaging and deeply personal.

One story that stayed with me was about Clarence, a man who prayed for years for his son’s salvation. Collins shares how Clarence’s persistent faith and trust in God’s timing eventually led to a powerful transformation. It reminded me that even in moments of waiting, God is working behind the scenes, shaping outcomes in ways we might not see.

Each chapter is rich with scripture, grounding every point in God’s Word. For instance, Collins’ discussion on patience and trust draws on Psalm 62, highlighting the importance of quiet confidence in God’s promises. He doesn’t just explain scripture; he applies it in a way that feels relevant to today’s challenges.

This book is an invitation to grow in faith and depend fully on Christ. Collins draws readers into a deeper understanding of God’s power and love, showing how leaning on Him allows us to face life’s difficulties with courage and hope. It’s a message that stays with you long after you’ve put the book down.

The Overcomer by James Collins is such a wholesome and inspiring read. It offers deep spiritual truths in a way that’s easy to understand and genuinely engaging. The mix of thoughtful insights and funny stories keeps you hooked and wanting more.

What I love most is how straightforward Collins’ writing is. He skips the fancy, complicated language and gets right to the point—which is perfect for readers who just want meaningful lessons without wading through dense text.

The book is super practical too. Collins shares advice paired with real-life examples that make it easy to connect the dots and apply the lessons to everyday life. It’s not just inspiring; it’s actually helpful.

I also think this book works great as a daily devotional. You could easily read a chapter a day and reflect on it—it’s packed with wisdom and good food for the soul.

After finishing this, I’m definitely curious to check out more of James Collins’ books. If you’re looking for something encouraging and down-to-earth, The Overcomer is absolutely worth the read.

This book came to me at a time when I really needed it. I had just been through a sorrowful life event. Life's not an easy journey but with Jesus, life is so much better than without.

This book is not just another dry, difficult to read nonfiction. It is not hard to read at all. This book is full of humorous, interesting stories, along with relevant scriptures that illustrate each type of overcoming we Christians may have to do.

Some things we might need to overcome are loss, stress, impatience and temptation. Each of the nine chapters focuses on a challenging issue, exploring the topic in depth, showing us how we can overcome.

There are sections in this book I already want to reread!

The humor in this book makes me wish author James Collins was my pastor. I love listening to a pastor with a sense of humor, and I'm sure his congregation is grateful for that too. I am thankful he's chosen to share his wit and wisdom in writing, and I plan to read more of his books.

From shining light on many verses of The Bible to James’ rich commentary, you will discover practical answers: God’s answers that we all need to face and overcome trials and tribulations, life’s greatest challenges.

With a writing style similar to Max Lucado’s, you will find clarity, encouragement, hope, solution, warnings and much more, to embrase this life and what comes after: our eternal home, our eternal life.

I highly recommend it to everyone. Thank you James for writing The Overcomer!

I have read several books by James Collins and haven't been disappointed by any of them, including this one. This book is about overcoming obstacles. Some of those obstacles are stress, mistakes, temptation, and impatience. We can overcome these through Jesus Christ, and James gives insight on how. As always, his books have stories that get to the point and are filled with humor. I highly recommend this book. This book was sent to me through the publisher and author for review, but it had no impact on my rating.

James Collins is a pastor, teacher, writer, and retired US Army Chaplain. He’s a regular on nationwide radio and has authored several books. A much sought-after speaker who’s shares the gospel around the world.

I wish to thank On Point Publishing and the author for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book. It has been a pleasure to do both.

The Overcomer has an eye-appealing cover that aptly fits the title. Great questions are listed on the backcover to help readers identify areas in their lives they wish to overcome.

The Introduction provides encouragement to the reader. The book is not about building on failure – it is about building on Jesus. Throughout this book the author shows how spending time and energy on Jesus will make you an overcomer.

James Collin’s book gives biblical insights on how to climb the mountains life puts in one’s path. And he does it in an excellent manner, with a writing style easy to understand and comprehend. The book reveals nine key areas to overcome:

The Big Lie; Stress; Mistakes; Impossibilities; Loss; Spiritual Deadness; Temptation; Fear; and Impatience. I’ll share an overview on three of them.

Overcoming Mistakes – There are people who have no real happiness because they don’t know how to deal with their past mistakes or failures. They may even believe God would never use them because of their past. The author shares God’s love and mercy shown through the life of the Apostle Peter, a chosen disciple of Jesus.

Overcoming Loss - Loss of a loved one through death or divorce; loss of a job; loss of a significant relationship. It was amazing how the author addressed each of these losses. He gives biblical accounts and personal stories to help readers move past their loss towards a brighter tomorrow.

Overcoming Impatience describes what waiting on God truly means. Yes; as Christians we may say we are waiting on God but are we? Do we truly know how to wait on Him? In this chapter James Collins provides three principles for readers to be aware of as they wait upon the Lord. Would we give up, or be willing to wait 40 years for a loved one to be saved, knowing with God all things are possible!

The book concludes with Overcoming Hell - the greatest obstacle to overcome. Sadly, many people believe heaven is an automatic destination when they die. The author reveals a guaranteed way to spend eternity in heaven.

My husband and I enjoyed reading this book together. The author made us cry, laugh out loud, and come to understand, with God we can overcome whatever comes our way. The Overcomer will be added to my Faith Library, a great resource to have on hand.

Hope is found within the pages of this book. I recommend you read it for yourself.

Thank God through Jesus Christ for the power to overcome!

When I think of the title, “The Overcomer” I think: To continually strive to get to where God has already been. To be an extended example through the life of Jesus Christ. The teachings, healings, grace and love.

Mr. Collins immediately defuses what will be revealed within each chapter of the book with an opening of humor. I liked that; softening the blow of realities in the topic’s subject; overcoming difficulties, striving for greater as a Believer in Christ.

It revealed many truths about the Christian journey. I felt very proud of myself as I compared some of the events mentioned in each chapter to my personal life. Proud that I am still here fighting the good fight of faith. Proud that I intensely seek God STILL in the face of adversity and victory.

Truth seeks out discovery of enlightenment and folds discipline into practice. As I read each chapter, a sensory overload took place in my heart. Grateful for the life and love of Jesus towards all who call on him.

If you are looking for a read that will level out your commitment to God, take great comfort in knowing you are not alone in the twists and turns of your journey as you read The Overcomer by James Collins.

The Overcomer: God's Answers to Overcoming Life's Greatest Challenges, was the perfect book for me to (finish) reading today.

I was living for The Lord for months, or significantly, and I stumbled. God still loves me, but the consequences of my sin were depressing and disheartening and worrying.

The Overcomer helped. It helped to lift me out of my depression, encouraged me that God forgives me, and gave me resolve to trust in God and keep my eyes on Him so next time I am tempted I can choose not to sin.

Collins' book is filled with God's truth, God's word, and humorous and stunning stories designed to make us aware of God's love and righteousness, and help keep us on the right track.

I read a good number of secular books, but the proof is in the pudding: It's good to read as much truth as you can, if you want your life to go better.

In this book, the author, James Collins, lays out biblical strategies to overcome the trials we face in life. He shares memorable and sometimes humorous stories as he makes his points. The author reminds us that God is always in control of the situations we find ourselves in.

Collins begins by addressing the big lie many of us were raised with, “God won't put more on you than you can bear.” The correct (and scriptural) view is found in 1 Corinthians 10:13. God doesn’t let us enter a temptation without providing us with a way out. Problems that are too big for us are never too big for God. To overcome a trial we must rely on God to get us through it and in doing so our faith is refined.

For overcoming stress Collins suggests trusting God, “have a positive self-image, exercise, practice good nutrition, and rest.” Additionally, “when you don't understand why the world's stress is tearing your plans apart, understand that God is preparing to replace them with His better plan.”

God is also able to overcome our mistakes and turn them into masterpieces and possibly even a ministry. There are many more positive points that I found helpful, too many to keep listing. In short the author provides a blueprint for many of the different types of situations we find ourselves in. Whether you need help overcoming a loss, fear, or stress the answer can be found in scripture

This review is an average of what I thought of this book. It has some excellent things in it, but also some tenuous assertions. In the interest of full disclosure, I have an extensive knowledge of the Bible and have read more than one theological stance as well.

First off, this is very basic. If you don't know much, or even anything, about the Bible and want to follow Southern Baptist theology specifically, this book is for you. It's easy to understand. Overall the editing is quite good. My favourite chapter is the first one where Collins points out the fallacies of some things people, even Christians, claim are in the Bible but aren't. Through this book there are a number of practical things that will help people struggling with certain issues. I'd have given this 5 stars for these things.

There are other parts of this book I'd give this book 1 star (thus the average of 2 stars--the errors outweigh the good in my mind because it's important to stick to what the Bible teaches and not what man says, as Collins pointed out so astutely in the first chapter, but didn't adhere to all of the time, and I'm not pointing out all of them.) The first is private interpretation--reading things into Scripture that aren't there. The first example of this is about Peter. We know Peter was rash and overconfident as well as fearful (all of the disciples were, but he had some of the least fear) but nowhere does it say he was selfish because he warmed himself by the fire--if anything, he was the opposite. He was an example of "the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." I have heard countless clergy in a number of denominations preach on Peter and have never before heard this assertion. A second one is assuming the guess that the certain disciple in the gospel attributed to John is John--there is zero proof for it, although the Roman Catholics asserted this was the case. We cannot know this for sure, so it should never be stated as fact. A third example of private interpretation is--and this is found in more than one denomination--is the "sinner's prayer" which is not only not in the Bible, but not required for salvation. Nowhere in the entire Bible are we commanded to say a rote prayer for salvation, or any prayer at all. One example of people being saved without saying a prayer are Cornelius and his household. No one spoke in tongues without salvation. Roman's 10:9 &10 expressly states what is required after the day of Pentecost (and obviously the faith mentioned in the first chapter has to be involved.)

There is also at least one pure fallacy. Although Sarah made Hagar's life difficult, at no time did she personally send Hagar away, especially not when she was pregnant and Sarah wanted Abraham to have an heir. However, Hagar did run away due to Sarah's (then still Sarai) treatment of her:

Genesis 16:6
So Abram said to Sarai, “Indeed your maid is in your hand; do to her as you please.” And when Sarai dealt harshly with her, she fled from her presence.

Later, after Isaac was born, Sarah implored Abraham to send Hagar and Isaac away. It appears that she was listening to God because God told Abraham to do what Sarah asked. This can be found in Genesis 21:8-20. Anyone who writes a book about the Bible should reread the passages they refer to to be sure it's accurate. I did, just to be sure my memory was correct since none of is is perfect.

After Pastor James Collins sent me “The Overcomer,” my first thought as I held his book in my hand is that I love the cover! I was also happy to see that he quotes from the King James Version, my preferred translation of the Bible.

(I am not King James only, but I favor the KJV because it is primarily translated from the Textus Receptus—which is Latin for Received Text. Of course the modern versions also contain the Received Text, but most of the translators also incorporate the corrupt manuscripts of Westcott & Hort, and other Alexandrian codex’s that scholars deem acceptable, which accounts for the differences in the many versions.)

Pastor Collins starts out by showing how we sometimes “think the Bible says things it doesn’t,” which is so true. I like his example of “spare the rod and spoil the child” that many of us have grown up thinking was in the Scriptures, but it is not. The actual reference is from Proverbs 13:24 which says, “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” Although, if we do not correct our children and punish them when warranted, it will certainly spoil them; but the meaning of this verse goes so much deeper. God says you actually hate your children if you do not reprove and correct them, and diligently warn them about sin; and if you truly love your children you will instruct them in the way of righteousness, and faithfully teach them to love and serve God and obey His Holy Word.

So many of the Scriptures that Pastor James sited in “The Overcomer,” are some of my favorite passages, one of which is from Luke 22:31-32 “And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.”

Jesus was letting Simon Peter know, before he made the terrible mistake of denying he knew the LORD, that God would use his fear and weakness, and turn it around for his good and the good of those who love God, and are the called according to His purpose. And God gave Peter a far reaching ministry and powerful testimony to share with a lost and dying world that desperately needs the LORD.

Another one of my favorite preachers also used to say that Jesus spoke more about Hell than He did about Heaven, but it’s just not true. A quick observation in a concordance reveals that Hell is mentioned 23 times in the New Testament, and Heaven is mentioned 277 times. Just another case of thinking the Bible says something it doesn’t.

Even though this is popular among Christians, I don’t like his reference to “The Passion of the Christ,” a horribly violent movie that was produced by Mel Gibson. I don’t have to see gruesome images to fully appreciate what Jesus went through to secure our salvation. If fact, the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit of God, working in our hearts is all that we truly need to understand the great sacrifice that Jesus made when He gave His precious life on the cross at Calvary.

Finally, I was extremely moved by Brother Collins’s testimony about his time in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain while serving during the current wars in the Middle East. My dear Husband (who is now with God in Heaven), was a combat soldier in Iraq and Afghanistan, and also experienced great suffering and the horrors of war, as did my dad in Vietnam and Korea. Needless to say, I have a great love for our armed forces!

There’s much more I could say about “The Overcomer” by Pastor James Collins, but I want to emphasize that his little book is definitely worth reading, as it encourages people to fully trust the LORD Jesus Christ for everything, and persuades us to verify our beliefs by the Word of God.

James Collins and his family will always be in my prayers, along with all God’s people who love Him too!

Ephesians 6:24 “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”

With the love of Christ,

📚 The Overcomer by James Collins 🙏

🌟 Finding Light in Life's Darkest Moments - A Secular Perspective on Faith-Based Guidance

First, a sincere thank you to James Collins for providing this book for review. As a non-religious reviewer, I've approached this with an open mind to evaluate its broader appeal.

📖 What's Inside
The Overcomer is essentially a spiritual toolkit for life's challenges. Collins tackles various struggles we all face:

😰 Stress and anxiety
😔 Loss and grief
😈 Temptation
⏱️ Impatience

A significant portion of the book focuses on debunking common misconceptions about biblical teachings. Collins writes in a style reminiscent of Max Lucado - accessible and conversational, often incorporating humor to lighten heavy topics. One particularly memorable example involves a funny misunderstanding about "BC facilities" at a campground, which Collins cleverly uses to illustrate the dangers of misinterpreting information.

💭 Thoughtful Analysis
What stands out most is Collins' vulnerability in sharing personal experiences. As a chaplain, he's witnessed profound suffering, from the horrors of war to the grief of bereaved families. These raw, honest accounts lend credibility to his guidance, showing that his advice comes from a place of genuine understanding rather than mere theoretical knowledge.

The book is heavily grounded in scripture, which serves as both a strength and a limitation. For believers, this biblical foundation provides trusted, familiar comfort. However, for secular readers, the reliance on biblical references might feel overwhelming at times.

👍 Highlights:
📝 Clear, engaging writing style
😊 Balanced use of humor and gravity
🤝 Relatable personal anecdotes
📚 Well-organized chapters

🤔 Considerations:
📖 Heavy focus on biblical references
🔄 Some repetition of key themes
🎯 Primarily geared toward Christian readers

⭐ Final Verdict: 4 out of 5 stars
While unabashedly Christian in its approach, The Overcomer offers wisdom that could resonate even with non-religious readers facing life's challenges. Collins' warm, authentic voice and practical insights make this more than just another religious self-help book.

🎯 Perfect For:
• Anyone seeking faith-based guidance through difficult times
• Readers who appreciate personal stories mixed with spiritual teachings
• Those looking for a balance of humor and profound insights in their spiritual reading

Even as a non-religious reader, I found value in Collins' compassionate approach to life's struggles, though the heavily Biblical framework may not resonate with all secular readers.

The Overcomer by James Collins is a heartfelt, scripture-filled guide on how to rise above life's toughest challenges through faith. Each chapter tackles a different struggle, from stress and fear to temptation and loss, all with the common thread of biblical wisdom and personal anecdotes from Collins’ own experiences as a chaplain. The central message is simple yet powerful: trust in God, even when life feels overwhelmingly bleak, because His strength will carry you through. If you’re looking for spiritual encouragement and practical biblical applications, this book is like a faith-based toolbox.

James Collins writes in a warm, conversational style that’s easy to connect with. He opens each section with relatable stories, often laced with humor, like the tale of a misinterpreted letter about a campground's “BC” facilities, which stands out in the chapter on overcoming lies. It’s a memorable way to remind readers not to mistake man-made maxims for God’s truth. What I appreciated most were the personal anecdotes that brought authenticity to his teachings. Collins recounts gut-wrenching experiences, like witnessing the horrors of war or comforting grieving families, to illustrate that God’s strength is essential when we’re at our lowest. This vulnerability makes his advice more impactful because you see a man who has walked through fire and come out faithful, albeit scarred. Collins tends to repeat ideas, especially when emphasizing the importance of humility and reliance on God. While these are crucial themes, the reiteration sometimes slows the book’s momentum. This scripture-heavy approach will be a goldmine for those who seek solid biblical grounding in every piece of advice. Still, I craved a bit more balance between scripture and actionable steps in some chapters.

The Overcomer is a deeply moving and spiritually rich read, perfect for believers needing a boost of hope. It’s geared toward those facing hardship and who seek strength from a faith-based perspective. If you’re struggling with loss, stress, or just the day-to-day grind, this book will remind you that no burden is too heavy when shared with God.

I laughed out loud at a few of James Collins’ stories. I can see him sharing them from the pulpit! Like any good preacher, he intersperses stories in his messages to help drive home points and make them more memorable. After all, if we don’t remember the message, what good will it do? He begins many chapters with humorous or heartfelt anecdotes. Collins’ down-to-earth style will disarm you before he follows with scripture that cuts to the bone.

You will remember Overcomer for some time. It’s a great blend of biblical truth, practical wisdom, and storytelling. If you’re battling stress, loss, temptation, impatience, or fear, this book points you straight to the only lasting solution, which is faith in Jesus Christ.

Do you feel that you are facing a burden that is more than you can bear? Maybe you are! Collins challenges the oft-repeated, misinterpreted phrase, extrapolated from 1 Corinthians 10:13 “God won’t put more on you than you can bear.” Instead, he reminds us: “It is not true that God won’t put more on you than you can bear. What is true is that God won’t put more on you than He can bear.” That reminder alone was worth the read.

The book is also practical. Collins offers biblical strategies such as resting in God’s plan while waiting on His timing and guarding against temptation with scripture. He reminds us that God can turn our mistakes into ministry opportunities—hallelujah! His wisdom is pastoral and personal. Like the good preacher he is, he provides a message that applies to new believers and mature Christians alike.

Collins also provides encouragement from scripture to help believers press forward when facing trials. He continually points us back to the power of God’s Word and the hope of the gospel. I especially appreciated the final chapter, “Overcoming Hell,” where he shares the way of salvation with compassion and clarity.

If you’re feeling weary, defeated, or spiritually dry, this book is like a trusted friend pointing you back to Jesus. Encouraging, hopeful, and firmly rooted in scripture, The Overcomer is a must-read for anyone longing to live in victory.

James Collins – The Overcomer

Like J. Collin’s ‘The Shepherd,’ which I thoroughly enjoyed, this book is also very enjoyable. Its vibrant themes help readers, especially Christians, strengthen their faith in Jesus and understand how they have been equipped to overcome challenges.

The plot leads readers to get answers to questions such as: what do you do in times of trouble, stress, overcoming impossible situations, or why does God let bad things happen to His people? Collins opens with a humorous scene that immediately drew me in. His writing is filled with humour and rib-cracking jokes [ Uncle Elmer, Kids Say the Darndest Things, the Korean boy, etc.] However, he writes cautiously around controversial subjects when pointing out false doctrines.

One of the book’s greatest strengths lies in the author’s use of personal testimonies from his experiences in the army, as a chaplain, and his boyhood in Oklahoma and others to bring out authentic lessons that back up themes that help the reader understand God better and the theme of being an overcomer. Examples are the Mississippi Baptist Preacher lesson and page 85 on ‘Brush off’, which also leaves room for reflection.

At its core, The Overcomer grapples with urgent, relatable, and timeless themes such as questions on loss, death, eternity, hope, faith, trust, and God. The author agrees that ‘Some questions in life defy answers’ but takes the reader on paths that lead one to remain hopeful and confident in the face of trials beyond human understanding. He fosters the fact that faith in God makes one an overcomer.

To sum up, I recommend this book, worth its 5 stars, because it offers a rare and precious gift—equipping Christians and everyone to be' Overcomers’ in the face of life’s overwhelming challenges.

The Overcomer is a book that will show you how to overcome many problems in everyday life. James Collins clarifies truths from the Bible that can help you get through these issues. He does this in an encouraging and understandable way. He includes many stories that are so funny, I laughed out loud. He also has stories that touched my heart and brought a tear to my eye.
First, he talks about “The Big Lie.” He points out many of us think the Bible says things that are in fact not in there at all. He also talks about overcoming stress, mistakes, impossibilities, loss, spiritual deadness, temptation, fear, and impatience. These are all things that everyone goes through at one time or another. As I read through each chapter I could clearly see through God’s Word and James’ illustrations and explanations how to finally get through or overcome these struggles.
In the chapter “Overcoming Impatience” He shares the principle of timing (being out of God’s timing is the same as being out of God’s will), trust (trust God, believe He will do what He said He would do in His Word), and tuning-in (you need to listen). James Collins shares a beautiful story about a man in his 70s who prayed for 40 years for his son to have a saving relationship with Jesus. He listened to the promise, believed it, and waited on God. He was able to see his son saved during a church service one Easter Sunday. You will be blessed by reading this book.

I really liked James Collins' The Overcomer for many reasons. I found his down-to-earth writing style easily accessible and enjoyable. Some of the different subjects he addressed to overcome through Christ were "stress, loss, fear, impatience," etc., and who hasn't struggled in those areas from time to time? James starts many chapters with an often humorous story that connects well with the subject matter. I even laughed a few times! But really, what stood out to me about The Overcomer was the genuineness of his faith coming through the pages to remind me to keep the faith and obedience in Christ. Here are some lines in the book that stood out to me:

"It is not true that God won't put more on you than you can bear. What is true is that God won't put more on you than He can bear." (Page 17).

"Many Christians today act as if they know how to wait on God. They might smile and say, "Everything is alright. I know how to wait on God." But it's not just about the outward actions; it's about the heart. Are we genuinely waiting on God, or are we as busy as a beaver trying to help God?" (Page 107).

James Collins often gets to the heart of the matter: trust God, and you will live an abundant life in Christ, even if life isn't easy and there's sin in the world. He even includes a salvation prayer to those who don't know God in his chapter, "Overcoming Hell."

If you desire to know God more and His goodness, I recommend you check out The Overcomer.
