A group of bikers known in their city not only as one of the best crews but also as causing havoc wherever they go. From illegal street races to owning their businesses, the Zoo Boyz has the world at their fingertips. The decision made by Zu on behalf of the Zoo Boyz puts both his crew and his friendship with Chevy in jeopardy.
As the group of five handles different situations, they encounter women they believe will ride for them. When they put trust, lust, and death on the line, it shakes things up within the crew, which makes them question each other. Not only is their friendship put to the test, but so is their loyalty. Some will win and some will lose, but in the end, will there still be a crew called Zoo?
This story had soo much potential like the overall theme was supposed to be soo good but this was a mess. Okay so I’m really a hater of more than two POVs because it gets messy, choppy and doesn’t ever flow well UNLESS you have phenomenal characters. Only person who had sense and moved like the boss they were supposed to be was Chevy. The connection/brotherhood fell flat cus it gave Chevy was the father to 3 bad a** kids forreal. Like NONE OF THEM HAD A LICK OF SENSE. Everything was messy and haphazardly thrown together. This story didn’t really provide a good base for any of the characters, like by the end I only felt a connection and attachment to Chevy. Like Zu was money hungry and weird cus he wanted to be in charge but ain’t have the mental capacity for leadership. You agree to a race and don’t say nothing to the entire crew for some money… THEN YOU DO it AGAIN BUT PUT THAT MAN BUSINESS UP?!? like at any point you could show that you a co-Captain a leader ANYTHINGGGG. Him and Harvey situation was dumb and should’ve never got past him eating her cat. Every leading lady in this story was TRAAAAASH, like not a single redeeming quality in any of them. Overall I thought the author had a good idea but the execution of this story was a nightmare.
Ok, I’ll bite. My first read by this author. I like these boyz. This story was a good introduction to the group. I don’t know about the so-called romantic connections, they all seemed so instant. The editing? Crazy. We must do better. I’ll stay to see how the series goes because I’m interested in Chevy’s journey and the possible love triangle brewing?
I currently have two hours of sleep until I have to go to work. There’s no way I was going to bed without finishing this book. It was such a good time. I love all the zoo boys. I want to get me a motorcycle or either be riding on the back of someone’s motorcycle. I’m so excited about flying through the rest of these so I can get ready for the inferno gods the boys crossover! I don’t even know who’s my favorite right now. They all got a special piece of my heart.
Having to change the font and background color to digest a book is crazy business (orange font = big no).
I’m not the biggest fan of multiple POV and for this to be the foundation book of the series, it did hurt the story a bit and it created a messy plot (and not in a good way) that wasn’t super easy to keep up with. I understand they are a crew, but we also got their situationships and temporary women’s POV and it didn’t necessarily add to the story. There was total 6 POV (Chevy, Mo, Diamond, FOE, Harvey & Zu) and that doesn’t even include Preach 😵💫🫠
All the men in this book are SILLY and need common sense outside of Chevy.
I’m reading book 2 for two reasons. The FOE piece at the end has me curious AND the crossover with Jahquel. Honest opinion, I’m giving this 2.75. Let us pray for better with book 2.
This was a new author for me and I am not mad at this read! I am a fan of multiple POVs and I think this was done well. No fluff, all story.
The intro follows a 5 man crew biker gang: Chevy, Diamond, Foe, Preach, and Zu. Every one of them gets a POV, except the elusive Chevy. From everyone else’s perspective Chevy seems to be the well respected, reserved, fearless leader of the Zoo Boys. Chevy is hiding a secret while the other crew members battle inner demons and tangible ones in the streets and between each other. The brotherhood is strong with this gang. The author explains that this is just an intro so there is definitely a slight cliffhanger. Harvey, our kinda FMC and Chevy’s best friend, seems to be loving the crew, all pun intended. Is Zu her guy or will she explore the sparks she thinks she feels when her and Foe touch. I will definitely be following the series as they drop.
Preach, the religious killer. Foe, the reckless brave-heart. Zu, the toxic, lover boy. Diamond, the pretty song bird.
So let me just say that I like the characters so far except Zu and Harvey working a nerve too. So that’s a plus. The story building is good as well so that’s another plus.
The amount of errors in the writing is a negative. It’s like whoever wrote this or edited it is slow, because that’s how I felt reading it. It’s making my head hurt. So that’s a negative. The fact NONE of these characters are getting know each other but are becoming soooo fond of each other based off looks is so irritating and stale now. It’s like dang are all black women this hard up for men that every author makes them so easy and desperate that they just take whatever just because the men are supposedly so fine?
Now this is not to say I’m not gone finish this story because I am. Like I said it’s not a bad story, it’s engaging for right now, and I just had to take a break to write this review.
This first book in the series really was fast paced and had a lot going on but I was able to keep up with. You get a introduction to each character and how the group works. I did enjoy this as it was my first real biker gang book but I was wanting more of the story. I will say the men in the books were very reckless when it came to women but I am still rocking with it.
My first book by Tatiana and I absolutely loved it. Those zoo, boys or something else. I was saying “ We only fk with the Zoo” the entire time lol. I love me some Chevy and Foe!
This read basic as hell to me. All four of yall don’t met women and fell madly in love already? Idk it was corny for me but imma keep going cause I wanna learn more about Foe & Chevy
Chile this was just scattered chaos. Things happened then the time sped up and something else happened. Just a whole bunch of chaos. There wasn’t much character development
I picked up this book to complete my A-Z Reading Challenge. About 3 chapters in, I was ready to knock everything off my TBR for the Zoo Crew.
If you’ve ever watched the movie Biker Boyz, then be prepared to read the millennial edition. These boyz ride bikes, own businesses and wreak havoc in the streets…but not without just cause. And the women either love them or have an ulterior motive.
My favorite character was Zu. There was something about his cockiness that turned me on. Now, I don’t think it’s any surprise that Nash is the least favorite character. I would love to rate this book higher, but there were quite a few errors. I’m looking forward to reading the remaining books in this series by @authortatiana.
Im teetering between 3 and 2.5.... i hated the orange font. IMO we only needed Chevy and Harvey's POV. Maybe Zu but no one else really. I liked the premise but there was alot going on and I don't feel like we gor enough info about any of it.... I needed to read this so I can get to the 2nd and the Jahquel crossover.... we shall see how book 2 goes.
I think this book was a good introduction to the crew. It kind of gives you a glimpse of who will be dealing with who. Preach is crazy! Lol. I don’t particularly care for Zu. I actually thought Foe would be a better match for Harvey. I wasn’t really feeling all of the connections. The book was very hurried as well. A lot happened in like one day but the author made it seem like a lot of time had passed. Very good premise, needed better execution.
This book needed to be edited. The tenses were all over the place, missing commas and misspelled words.
Heyyyyy so um what tf was this 😩 there’s just so much but also nothing going on…all the characters are 2-D and stupid also the orange text…not it…AT ALL
So you’re telling me all of these men were dumb enough to get played by females at the same time but I’m supposed to believe they are smart enough to be running 🔫s?
The prologue got things jumping right away. That's what I am talking about to get the reader excited. First read by this author and happy that it was a biker gang. Takes me back to the biker boys movie. The way this was written i can rock with it and i could visualize it. Zu was a not mess LOL. None of them guys played around. Especially not Preach, who was one of my favorites. Chevy was the other because i liked how they moved. Diamond seemed like he had a good heart as well. What i couldn't understand was how quick they were claiming these chicks as theirs. Harvey was cool though. I loved her and Chevy's bond. Yes it ended on a cliffhanger but that's why it's a series. Can't wait to read the rest.
P.S. The orange was a little harsh on the eyes. I changed the background color in the kindle app.
Goodness knows it was well past time for me to dive into this book. I feel like holding off on jumping into the next book is take every single strength I possess. Zoo boys follow multiple pov and serve as an introduction to the main leaders of their bike crew. I realized halfway through that even though the boys are selective with who knows their names, we also barely know their names. We meet Zu, Diamond, Chevy, and Foe. Each member is different and has an agenda they're focused on. There's some romance involved, if we want to call it that. However, I don't think it's worth getting into just yet. I will say this book serves as a great starting point to understanding each of the leaders, their lives outside of the club, and their fundamental beliefs.
This book had a good concept and gave a decent intro to the crew, but the execution was off. It felt rushed—everything was happening so fast. & let’s talk about how these dudes were supposed to be so “cutthroat” but the women slid in way too easy, even with all the red flags and alarms going off in their heads . Like, how y’all letting them get that close off the rip?
On top of that, the book needed some serious editing. The tenses were all over the place, words were misspelled, and there were missing commas left and right. Had me reading and re reading sentences 3 and 4 times while I tried to figure it out. The idea was there, but it needed way better execution and polish to really bring it home.
Chaos indeed but not in the good way. The premise was there but the execution was not. I figured there would be multiple POVs since this is the intro to the crew but...All the different POVs made the story chaotic and choppy at points. Chevy was the only truly likable character, maybe Foe as well, but not enough to make me want to continue with the series.

The way I have questions. I understand this was just an introduction to the crew. All the girls got on my nerves one way or another. I think Harvey should go with Chevy on that road trip. He’s your family and you made a promise. I have a soft side for all the boys but I think Preach is gonna be my favorite. I’m excited for his book.
A lot going on . Lots of moving pieces in this puzzle. Very entertaining story.I would recommend to those enjoy multiple POV. bad boys and secrets. The energy in this book had me on YouTube looking up black MC’s and shopping for one of those motorcycle old people ride with the wide seats. I’m trying to see something lol.
