What’s worse than crash landing on an ice planet? Discovering that it’s controlled by a twisted alien posing as Santa and his crew of terrifying elves.

Kringl wants nothing more than to return to his home world, but first he’ll have to escape from the frozen world that’s kept in a state of perpetual joyless celebration. Even worse, it’s always Christmas Eve, but never Christmas Day.

Joy is determined to escape the ice planet she and her fellow humans were marooned on years ago. She can’t stand the constant fake celebration or the torment of Christmas Day never arriving.

When the handsome, blue alien and his crew arrive, Joy knows this is her chance. But when Kringl is captured, Joy must rescue him before they can both escape. That is, if Bad Santa doesn’t stop them both.

This sweet and steamy holiday tale is part of the Rescued by an Alien collection, a collaboration of authors telling holiday tales with a science fiction romance twist. Each book is a standalone, containing its own Happily Ever After. They can be read in any order.

I love sexy aliens and independent heroines. I grew up on Star Trek: Next Generation and Star Wars (and I adore them equally). My favorite superhero is Thor (with Aquaman a close second because, well, Jason Momoa), my favorite dessert is key lime pie (okay, fine, all pie), and I still lament the loss of Firefly.

I live in North Carolina in the US and have one husband, two teenagers, and two neurotic cats. I sometimes wish I could teleport to a holographic space station like the one in my tribute brides series (or maybe vacation at the oasis with the sand planet barbarians). :-) When I'm not writing, I love to paddleboard, dive, travel, and read obsessively!

Kringl by Tana Stone is a light-hearted Christmas adventure that features a handsome blue alien named Prince Kringl and a spirited human woman named Joy. Their story unfolds on an ice planet ruled by mischievous elves who have escaped the North Pole and abandoned their toy-making responsibilities. Determined to avoid detection by Santa, these elves trap everyone they encounter in their village.

When Kringl's spaceship makes an emergency landing on this ice planet, Joy seizes the opportunity to save herself and the other captives held by the elves. Together, Joy and Kringl devise a plan to escape, forming a passionate and deep bond in the process. However, Kringl faces a difficult decision: will he risk losing his royal title and abandon his responsibilities to claim Joy as his queen?

You’ll want to read this fast-paced adventure to find out!

Kringl is a delightful story that beautifully weaves themes of love and friendship, with a touch of spice that adds to its allure. I also enjoyed the supporting characters; they provided fun and entertainment throughout this holiday tale without overshadowing the developing romance between Kringl and Joy. This one is a winner!

Kringl

Super silly fun holiday story.

I'm really hoping the author has heard of the Marvel superhero Squirrel Girl because if not this awesome reference was inadvertent,

““You cannot go in alone,” Kringl said. “That is not how military missions work.”

“I won’t be alone.” Tami tapped her own shoulder and Snowball leaped onto it. “Snowball will look out for me.”

A girl and a squirrel? This was hardly a dream team.”

A girl and a squirrel are unbeatable. You can look it up.

💙 “I was lost before I met you, but now I know exactly what I want, who I want - and it's you.”
~~~
Joy is a wonderful woman! She’s kind, caring, compassionate and nice. Even more, I loved her courage and that she never hesitated to stand her ground and face any challenges thrown her way. And I loved her resilience, resourcefulness and strength. Joy is amazing and I loved her so, so much!
And Prince Kringl of Valoria is one incredible male! He’s big, buff and blue. Even more, Kringl is strong and fiercely protective. And he’s also honorable, kind, thoughtful and so, so charming in his own way. The tattooed alien Prince is one utterly irresistible male and I adored everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Joy and Kringl! Joy and some humans have spent years on an ice planet, in a settlement controlled by rogue elves, who've escaped the North Pole and now are determined to do everything to not be discovered by Santa, including not letting the humans leave. Until, Kringle and his crew, crashland make an emergency landing on their planet. I loved Joy and Kringl together! From the moment they met, their attraction was strong and their chemistry was wonderful. Torn between duty and desire Kringl was determined to resist the kind and brave human. But the more time they spent together, the more neither of them could resist the undeniable need. Even more, Kringl and Joy were an amazing team, and together (and with a little help from others) they made sure that the elves would never again keep anyone against their will. Joy and Kringl were an absolutely perfect match and I couldn’t get enough of either of them!
Overall, the story is a fantastic, action-packed, suspenseful, fun and naughty read. Who could’ve thought that all it takes to save Christmas is a strong blue alien Prince, a brave human woman, an adorable and brave little girl and a loyal and fierce snow squirrel!
I loved it!
The holidays are fun and everything, but being caught in a town that celebrates perpetual Christmas (at least that's what it looks like at first glance) would be a real drag after a while. Especially if you were being held prisoner there by a group of kinda evil elves.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. It all starts when an alien prince is forced to make an emergency landing on an icy planet. Unfortunately for Kringl (but probably fortunately for the poor folk being held against their will there), the town near where they crashed is...not as friendly as it looks on the surface. As in, a group of elves (who aren't nearly as kind and cuddly as the stories tell us) are determined to keep the town in a perpetual state of Christmas. By that, I mean it's always the day before Christmas so Christmas never comes and they can celebrate into perpetuity.
Which is REALLY not fun for the poor people trapped there.
One of those people? Joy. When she sees Kringl's ship crash, she figures it's her chance to escape and find a way to help the others. As you might imagine, things don't go quite as smoothly as she planned. Soon she's breaking an alien prince out of solitary, hiding him out in her cabin, planning a little rebellion, and falling hard for the big, honorable alien.
Some kissing, some sneaking around, some thrilling heroics all around. *thumbs up*
Love, bad elves, and rescues
What a surprise holiday present for a romance reader - a mildly suspenseful holiday romance starring a big blue alien prince and a cute squirrel - yes please. This heartwarming story was fun, spicy, and swoony with just the right amount of feelings. Reading it made me happy and I smiled the entire way through the story. Kringl is a warrior as well as the prince from the planet Valoria. Returning from a diplomatic mission, his spaceship has mechanical difficulty and is forced to land on an ice planet near a small settlement. Joy is a human who has been marooned on the ice planet for years. The settlement is controlled by bad elves who celebrate (joyless) Christmas Eve every day with Velsnickel as “Santa” but never experience Christmas. Joy just wants to get off the planet but the elves won’t let the humans leave. When Kringl is captured by the elves, Joy is determined to rescue him. What follows Joy and Kringl’s initial meeting, is a fast paced journey of rescuing, sneaking, sabotage, baggage unpacking, and life course correction. Like all books by this author, this well written story was hard to put down and included engaging dialogue, three dimensional characters, good world building, and a captivating storyline. Holidays are definitely better with smexy blue aliens.
Kringl from author Tana Stone is part of the Rescued by the Alien series and a holiday story that was as entertaining as it was an imaginative twist featuring some of Santa’s not so charming little elves.
MMC Prince Kringl and his men are on the way home to Valoria when their spaceship experiences an emergency and they have to land on a nearby ice planet to make repairs.
What they find is a village of strange little creatures they soon learn are elves.
Their leader Velsnickel insists the Valorian stay to celebrate upcoming festivities which Kringl agrees to in order to avoid any trouble, and allow the time needed for repairs.
MMC Joy is part of a group of humans who had been traveling to an outpost when they ended up marooned and trapped on the ice planet, never allowed to leave and everyday having to celebrate Christmas Eve without Christmas Day ever arriving.
When Joy sees the Valorian ship land her immediate thought is on escape, and when Kringl is captured and imprisoned by the elves its up to Joy and his men to rescue him.
What a wonderfully addictive story unfolds with its naughty and nice twists, fated mates, intrigue, surprises, humor, action, adventure, and romance.
Loved this nicely written narrative, the delightfully crafted characters and the wonderful Christmas HEA.
This was such a fun, festive and fast-paced read filled with action, naughty little elves and some holiday spice!
I absolutely loved Kringl and Joy together! While things start off uncertain between them, their romance blossoms between heart hammering action scenes, a little pinch of suspense, a decent bit of chemistry and the heartwarming domestic moments they share together. Add in a sprinkle of spice and it's no wonder they're perfect together!
One of the other things I loved most about this book was the worldbuilding! Between the icey planet, the small snowy village and the Christmas Eve festivities that were never ending, there was an aspect to this world that was so enchanting when I first started reading it. Then we get to the elves. Those naughty, evil little elves. I absolutely loved these little villains!😅 They were just downright diabolical in their determination to ruin Christmas and hold hostages. They really made this book feel like such a unique holiday read!
I want to thank Tana Stone for the opportunity to read this ARC, I absolutely loved it! My thoughts and opinions are my own in this review.
This is a really exciting story full of action, and of course steamy moments between the two main characters. Trapped on an ice planet with elves who continually celebrated Christmas, but not allowing Christmas to actually happen with gifts and celebrations, Joy, along with other humans, are being held hostage by bad elves who had escaped from Santa and we’re hiding on the planet using technology to keep people from the planet. That all ended when Kringl and his crew had to crash land on the planet until this ship was repaired. Kringl was taken hostage by the evil elves and Joy was instrumental in saving them all. Joy and Kringl soon fill in love and want to have a happily ever after. But it doesn’t just smoothly happen, lots happens in between.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
I feel like this book gives new meaning to the phrase Holiday Cheer, so much fun. Prince Kringl’s, seriously so much fun, ship has to have an emergency landing on an unknown planet. And que the merry music and Christmas Eve…Every. Single. Day. Sounds like a dream come true, right? I think the village residents would strongly disagree. Never Christmas Day…always Christmas Eve. Here he meets Joy, I know, I know, Joy and Kringl so cute, and finds out that not everything is jolly and right in the endless Christmas Eve village.
This was a super cute read, but with all the action we look forward to in a Tana Stone book. A couple with the merriest names that fit together, and have chemistry to spare. Characters we adored…including a super adorable snow squirrel. I know, I know, I had you at snow squirrel….you’re welcome. A sweet HEA.
This was a very enjoyable story to read written by Tana Stone among this Rescued by the Alien series. This engaging story is about Joy a human and Prince Kringl a Valorian. Prince Kringl was returning home to his sick father after a diplomatic mission. Kringl and his crew had to make an emergency landing on an unknown icy planet. They chose to land near a settlement hoping for help. Joy out gathering wood sees the ship land and watches them walk toward the settlement. Joy wants to warn them but is stop. Could this be her chance to escape the elves who imprisoned them? What occurs is a delightful, cute romance alien story with likable characters, drama, and action to read where Christmas Eve is relived every day, and the elves are bad and are led by Velsnicker. I'd volunteer to read and review this enjoyable copy I'd received.
This is a fun but serious Sci-Fi Christmas story with an interesting take on some elves..who are definitely on Santa's naughty list (and not in a good way). Kringl is on his way home to Valoria when his ship becomes damaged and they have to make a hard landing on a snow planet. While there he meets Joy who comes to him desperate to get herself and the other humans a way from elves that are keeping them from leaving. After a few adventures that leave Kringl stranded on the planet they join together with a couple of others to free everyone. I really enjoyed this kinda Christmas story. The main characters are sweet and interesting but I really loved Tami and Snowball! It's well written and a lot of fun! 5 stars
Their chemistry was heartwarming, steamy and oh I want some. Kringl is on his way home when his ship is damaged and they make a very hard landing on a snow planet. Joy is on the planet with other humans being held by elves that celebrate christmas eve continuously never having Christmas day come. It ends up being an action pack story filled with heartwarming, moments, drama, steamy moments, naughty little elves, and where Christmas Eve is revived every day. This is a really sweet story of falling in love with an alien and them rescuing each other. Joy and the rest of the humans stuck on a planet with evil elves and the constant Christmas Eve celebrations would do anything to get off the planet. When Joy sees a large smoking hot blue alien walk out of a ship that landed on the planet, she hopes this will be her and the other humans a way off the planet. But then Kringl is captured by the evil elves and it's Joy with her sweet squirrel and little friend named Tami who can save him. Kringl finds himself falling hard for Joy and hopes she will feel the same way once they are all saved. Great story and hope to see these two wonderful characters again!
"I just finished reading Kringle by Tana Stone, and I'm still grinning from ear to ear! This Christmas romance novella is a delightful, feel-good treat that's perfect for getting into the holiday spirit.
The chemistry between the leads is undeniable, and their romance is sweet and tender. I loved watching them navigate their differences and find common ground. The supporting cast is also well-developed and adds to the story's charm.
Stone's writing is engaging, and her love for the holiday season shines through on every page. Kringle is a heartwarming, festive read that sure to leave you feeling m erry and bright. If you're looking for a lighthearted Christmas romance, this is a great choice. 4⭐️ and a big thumbs-up from this reader!"
Tana Stone’s Kringl is an excellent addition to the Rescued by the Alien Holiday Tails series. Prince Kringl and his crew crash on an ice planet and meet elves that perpetually celebrate Christmas, but something is off. Joy is one of the humans captured by the elf leader and forced to endlessly prepare for Christmas Eve that never leads to Christmas by the escaped elves who are hiding from Santa. She saves Kringle from ice jail as his ship and crew leave for help. Then they rescue each other several times as they seek to destroy the elves’ planet shield. You’ll never guess who winds up saving them all!
This author is just a master of building and creating new worlds, new planets, new people, new surroundings, new everything!!! While at the same time there are beautiful feelings and not so beautiful feelings. And it is all wrapped in a beautiful imagery or not so beautiful. In short, this story like so many previous ones is absolutely gobsmackingly fabulous and if there were 10 stars to give, this story would certainly get all 10 stars but I only have five to give out so five they are!!!!
This was a cute and funny holiday sci-fi romance about Kringl and Joy trying to escape from an ice planet with creepy elves who celebrate Christmas all year round.
Joy is a human who crash-landed on an icy planet where she and her crew are trapped. Kringl is a Valorian prince who was on a diplomatic mission and was forced to land on the planet.
Can they escape the elves? Will they succumb to their attraction? Full of drama, action and likeable characters.
I love Tana Stone. This is the story of Kringl and Joy and their attempt to escape the ice planet where creepy elves celebrate Christmas Eve every day and a group of humans aren't allowed to leave the planet because the elves don't want to be discovered. Kringl and his crew have to make an emergency landing on the planet and they try to keep them from leaving as well. I'll never look at Christmas elves the same way.
This was an interesting festive read, featuring naughty elves, a hot alien Prince and a Christmas loving human! Kringl crashlands on a planet where it appears that Christmas is celebrated non stop, however, appearances are very deceptive and it’s upto Kringl and Joy to get to the bottom of the mystery. I liked the way this story flowed and how Kringl and Joy’s relationship developed, a lovely story for the season - even Santa makes a n appearance!
Kringl is one out of seven books in the Rescued by the Alien series. This series is in collaboration with several best selling sci-fi romance authors. This was a fast paced exciting steamy sci-fi Christmas holiday romance. I truly enjoyed this one. I loved the evil Christmas elves twist, strong heroine with an awesome name (Joy) and hunky Prince who needs saving. I highly recommend this book and I can't wait to read all the books in this series.
Kringl
Kringl is a prince. While returning from a successful trip garnering respect and allies for his country his ship is comprised and they have to land on the nearest planet to affect repairs before continuing home. A twisted story with Christmas themes. The female male character, Joy, is endearing and her side kick pet and the little girl that follows her around are priceless. Really enjoyed the tale.
Evil elves. Who woulda thunk it?
Prince Kringl and his crew are forced to land on an icy planet when their ship malfunctions. The nearby village seems to resonate with good cheer but there are underlying signs of discontent. Joy is one of the humans from the village desperate to leave and stows away on Kringl’s ship. He discovers her and she reveals the truth behind the town’s seeming cheer. They enlist the help of a few others and eventually manage to thwart the leader of the elves.
Scary Elves Who are not Nice!
What a creative story and great cast of characters! Kringle is a Prince who gets stranded on the same planet the humans have been trapped on and so the fun begins. Joy is tired of the same crazy non-celebration every day and so is everyone else. Such a unique take on Santa and the elves in an alien world. Loved how it all comes together and love our happy ending. Well done!
This is not your grandma’s Christmas Story…
up and boy are those bad elves going on the naughty list. I highly recommend you read it and the other books in the series.
Who doesn’t like a story with deranged elves and a warped Christmas theme. The side characters of Tami and Joy’s pet snow squirrel were adorable…loved all the nice characters.
Kringl was a good guy, and sweet as heck. Joy was brave, adorable and very likeable. Over all a cute sci fi romance with plenty of nice steam.
Definitely a fun, holiday read with a bit of spice. Things happen quickly in this story but the flow is natural and did not feel rushed. I loved the crazy take on Christmas complete with errant elves and a Santa spotting. Kringl and Joy were entertaining and fun to read about. This was a great book to kick off the holiday cheer with a laugh.
