'Secret Admirer' was quite a different book to the rest of the ones in the series. First of all, the main character's love interest isn't really established during the first half of the book, which is interesting as it makes you keep guessing who she is going to end up with. There were quite a few male characters in this story who were showing interest in the protagonist, so even the readers were confused as to who her secret admirer was. Secondly, the main character, Kim, was different to other Sweet Dreams heroines, who are primarily obsessed with the boy they meet or like. Kim was really passionate about her job as a disc jockey, and she never let boys get to her head. The plot of this book almost reminded me of a romantic comedy film. It was entertaining and kept me engaged. I definitely recommend this book.

Sweet Dreams is a fairly sappy, predictable series which makes this musical entry such a blast. Kim is a great character: she likes boys but she’s more concerned about the station and her future as a radio DJ. There's a lot of song name drops, zany wardrobe descriptions and surprisingly interesting technical jargon about how a radio station works behind the scenes. One of my favorites from the series.
