The Wolf's Mate #6

Logan & Jenna

Rate this book
Jenna Odile planned to spend the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday partying with her friends before she cast a spell to find her truemate. Before she can, she's captured by a group of criminally-minded werewolves who want to use her fae-abilities to commit crimes. Poisoned and left for dead, she used the last of her strength to cast the spell for her truemate, hoping that he would find her before it was too late.

The last thing Logan Anderson wanted to do with his Saturday evening was watch over the young male wolves in his pack while they attended a dance in hopes of finding their mates. As the night wore on, he began to feel compelled to leave, and his instincts led him to race into the woods at the side of the highway. In the darkness of the woods, he finds a woman near death, who begs him to protect her. Now, nothing is more important than helping her get well. He'll deal with those who hurt her... later.

This story contains a male werewolf with a dark past, a fairy who can't wait to find her truemate, and the betrayal that brings them together. Features hot werewolf-fairy loving, mythical creatures, full moon madness, and lots of neck biting.

I'd say a solid 3.5 stars. These books are not about reinventing the wheel... so you know what to expect. That of course is not a bad thing at all. The main reason I read R.E. Butler books is because I know it won't be a heavy daunting read, there will be plenty of wolf lovin (well at least in this series) and in the end I get an HEA.

That is what I am talking about!!! This book was everything wonderful I knew this series could be!!!! Loved it to pieces!

Logan is so sweet and dominant at the same time!!! I love a big man who sports tattoos!!! Jenna is such a sweetheart that you love her from the start! I adore that the ladies in this series are not weepy doormats!!!

The story this time really carried through the book from begging to end. It was beautifully paced and never lagged. It was great the story had more peaks and climactic moments than pervious books. The series is really growing.

The steam factor is uber yummy! Hot and heavy action keeps a gal fanning herself for a good portion of the book! Can't fault a girl for plentiful loving!

The end is a real teaser and I can not wait to see what is next for the pack. Who will be next to find there mate! Perhaps Teller will track his down, maybe Ben will serve his up or can we expect to see Lindy mellow out when the right fella comes along to take her in hand? So many wonderful possibilities!!!

Kudos, Ms Butler you definitely have me hooked!

I loved it ! Love the entire series & how the writer keeps changing it up by creating unique mates for my sexy wolves. The story featured some on the edge suspense with some bad guys out to get the heroine but it also centered around Logan & Jenna's relationship & some serious changes they were dealt. Some insecurities too, I felt. My favorite part ? There were two actually. Steamy love scenes were right at the top of that list & Butler writes some hot ones. The thing I personally enjoy most about her books is that satisfying epilogues are kinda her signature & they always leave me with a good feeling. So yeah, I'm pretty much hooked on R.E. Butler books but would've grabbed this one even if it hadn't been one of hers. What's that you say ! Come on people... that cover was damn sexy ! Just for the record... Logan definitely lived up to it too, ya'll. So I'm glad that Butler is making some new plays by bringing in new supernatural characters. Can't go wrong with the Fae, they're so mysterious. Who knows what secrets could come up ? The story was great with a lot of action , conflict & stuff going on. Hot & steamy with lots of action going on there too. Biting & growling & possessiveness. The word "Mine" came up quite a few times. Yeah !!! Overall, this was another fantastic read from a gifted writer & I'm looking forward to what she has in store for me next.

It was interesting, just not very memorable.
Logan and Jenna seemed so sweet but I felt like Logan wasn’t very happy with the pack. He just wanted somewhere he could belong so he settled. He obviously hates his job and doesn’t even want to be ranked higher in the pack. I would have been happier if he moved to the Fae realm with Jenna. I was happier when Jenna FINALLY started doing something productive. We all knew she should make soaps but it took for-freakin-ever for her to start. Also, what was the point in giving her a power when she never used it? Total letdown.

I thought about going back and reading this series from the beginning. I am sooooo glad I didn’t automatically download them. The reviews are so awful I’m pretty sure I read the best book of the series. I never liked how the wolf hierarchy worked in this but it sounds like this pack is a bunch of controlling assholes. I was so pissed to read about how Jason was treating Cadence. Even if they are wolves that does not mean the she-wolves can be raped because they aren’t mated. What kind of crap is this author writing? I thought the mates were to come before anyone else. What happened to that? This is some effed up crap.

I'm trying to clean up some of my PNR shelves, and came across this one. I couldn't remember it, but had rated low. After a quick skim reread, I'm going to remove the rating, and mark as a DNF because this is a "taste" thing, not a writing thing.

This is a short, insta-love shifter romance. It's not really juvenile, but there're things like...
you horn-toed woll-dragon, you slippery eel, that slime-eating herffler, etc. so not totally grown-up either. It is part of a series, but this is the only one I read.

Finally Logan found his mate. The rough and tough male covered in tattoos, found the one who could bring him to his knees! Jenna, a fairy with the ability to unlock anything that isn't made out of iron, wanted to find her true mate. In her time of need she found him in Logan!!! Jenna was betrayed by her ex and given to unlawful wolves. She was poisoned and beaten, that's when Logan found her and vowed to take care of the ones who did her harm. It had many ups and downs, but the end was beautiful! I love this series!! I can't wait to read the next book!❤

This book is different to all of the previous books in the series as it has another supernatural creature in it - fae.

I really enjoyed the part when Jenna was turning slightly...wolfy. That was interesting.

Jenna's garden...sprite was a lovely addition - loved when she got annoyed at Logan.

Would have liked there to have been more sightings of Jenna's wings - to have appeared more often. And for Jenna to have used her fairy power more.

This was probably my second favourite book of the series.

Very interesting female heroine and this story really starts out with some tension.
Jenna is a Fae and due to a nasty male fae who cannot accept no, is kidnapped by rogue wolves to commit crimes for them.
Jenna is very smart which I like and gets away but is being slowly killed by iron poisoning. She spells for her truemate to save her. Enter Logan.
Logan is a real sweetie. He is chaperoning some young wolves to a dance and on the way home he is drawn to a place and finds Jenna.
The rogues keep pursuing Jenna with the bad Fae’s help.
Likeable characters and the blood bond was different and caused a few problems for poor Jenna.
Loved that Karma got Maximus back so neatly and Jenna defended herself well against Jasper.
I have read and reviewed these books previously but reviews admitted from the back of books seem to be missing.

I just can't seem to stop, have to read them all. This is the sixth book in this series and they just keep getting better. Logan is new to the pack and a great addition. Even though he's broody, he one sexy wolf all the way down to his tattoos. I really liked our heroine, she's smart, sweet, and a great addition to the series. I love the new possibilities of series in this one series! I felt this was well written with the old a new characters. This story has action and some hot sexy scenes that makes you want to keep reading late into the night.

A Fairy and a Werewolf. OVER 18+ READING

Logan (5th in pack) found his mate when he rescued her from the iron shackles that was killing her. Nearly dead fairy Jenna cast a spell for her true mate after being kidnapped and out in iron shackles which will kill a fairy. She had planned to cast the spell for a true mate before she was kidnapped but knew she had to try after she was shackled. The way they were bonded was new and their trials to HEA were many but they made it . Really Good

Logan, a wolf shifter, gets drawn to his dying truemate , when the magic call reached him. Jenna sends out her spell as a last ditch hope that her mate will save her before she does from the iron poisoning her body. At the hospital with Jenna, he must blood bond with her to save her life. They are joined before even knowing each other. Logan is able to introduce himself after nearly twenty-four hours spent in her hospital bed with her. How do you go from mated strangers to truemates?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I LOVE THIS AUTHOR!!
Logan & Jenna is pure fantasy-fueled magic meets gritty survival. Logan is the reluctant hero who instantly becomes ride-or-die the moment he finds Jenna, and she is the sweetest fae with a core of steel. The urgency in their bond, the danger stalking them, and the way Logan becomes so protective—it’s everything I love in a fated mates story. Plus, there’s something about full moon magic that just cranks the tension up to 11. Love, love, love.

The Wolf's Mate Book 6: Logan & Jenna

I'm glad her ex got what was coming to him. For a minute there I though Jasper's blood had soaked into the hashes on Jenna's arm. Logan was possessive he wanted to kill anyone that came near Jenna.

Wait, what? I am very disappointed! I was expecting a great story after Bo and Michael’s ones, but nope, not happening! I was bored out of my mind at page 8, and it didn’t improve one bit.

Logan & Jenna is the sixth book in the Wolf’s Mate series by R.E. Butler. Although these books can be read as stand alones, my OCD nature could not fathom reading the sixth book in a series without reading one through five first. I gave it a valiant effort but only managed to read one through three before my deadline loomed but I am ok with that, I have a good idea of the pack dynamic and I have some history to go along with it. Where I am a bit out of the loop is that although I haven’t read books four or five yet, the hunky wolves in those books are already characters that I have been introduced to in the first three books. My disadvantage is that I know nothing about Logan going into this book so I have to assume he made his appearance in one of those unread books.

I think that Logan and Jenna is one of the better written books in the series. I enjoyed Jason & Cadence (book #1) and Linus & the Angel (book #2) rating those somewhere in the 3 – 3.5’ish star range. One thing that R.E. Butler does well is she can write a truly evil villain capable of heinous things. Where I had a bit of an issue was that I felt the confrontation came a little too early in these stories which left too much drag for me as the story wrapped up. As for Callie & the Cats (book #3)… that had all kinds of deliciousness written all over it! Double your pleasure, double your fun TWINS and their mate. For me, it didn’t work. I think Callie was a complete bitch in her treatment of her best friend and Ethan and Eryx were far too pussy-whipped for my own liking. With Logan and Jenna, Ms. Butler gave me a wolf that was romantic enough but not pussy-whipped, a kick ass heroine, some evil villains and the ‘climax’ around the 80% mark was perfectly placed. Timing IS everything!

Logan Anderson is ranked fifth in the pack and he joined them a little over a year ago. Logan is a BIG boy. Six foot six, covered in tribal tattoos and his muscles have muscles. He doesn’t put much effort into dating because he has decided to hold out until he finds his truemate and not settle for anything less.

“Hell it had been so long since he’d taken a woman to bed that his balls probably had cobwebs hanging from them.”

Do they have a cream for that? Relegated to chaperoning some of the younger wolves at a singles shifters dance he is overcome with a strange feeling that he needs to be somewhere and he can’t shake the voice whispering for help in his head. On the ride home he notices a flash of light and when he pulls over to investigate he finds an unconscious woman that is collared and has cuffs on her wrists and ankles.

Our left for dead victim turns out to be Jenna Odile, a fairy. When I realized the fae would play a part in this story a maniacal laugh may have sounded in my head as I anticipated some good times ahead. It is common knowledge that the fae are deceptively evil in most of the stories where they are portrayed, just ask Karen Marie Moning. The moment that Jenna lands the right hook sending her malevolent ex-fae boyfriend to his ass, my heart grew two sizes. Now this was a heroine I could get behind. When Jenna finds herself in a life or death situation in the Mortal Realm, she sends out a truemate spell hoping that he can find her in time to save her. With the help of a supernatural healer, Jenna’s life is saved but some interesting side effects develop. Suddenly our little fairy isn’t so sweet anymore, while her lunatic fae-army ex-boyfriend is on the loose, and a psychotic criminal mastermind is out to capture her and cause her bodily harm. Never a dull moment in Allen, Kentucky for the Tressel pack and Logan has got his work cut out for him when it comes to protecting his mate. Not only is he up for the challenge but he is the right mixture of broodiness and sweetness and he REALLY knows how to work a wall!

“You’re the first thing in my life worth smiling about.”

Thank you Ms. Butler for those ab-tastic covers! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with Michael and Bo, the two hunky wolves I had to skip over.

~3.5 Stars~ The 6th installment in R.E's Butlers Wolf's Mate Series see's Roguish Wolf Logan with a heart of gold find his true mate in the beautiful Fairy Jenna.

Logan & Jenna's story starts with a bang, when Jenna is kidnapped & left stranded in our realm with only the hope her true mate will find her in time & sweep her off her fairy feet which of course Logan defiantly does in a very alpha way.

Ok while I'm on the subject of this Big Bad wolf I might as well get all my drooling & gushing out of the way cause seriously Logan is soo worthy drooling over.. from his sexy ass tats to deliciously ripped abs, his strong alpha possessiveness to his sweet & protective nature
There nothing to dislike about this too hot too handle bad boy....

description

Jenna was sweet & strong, she wasn't a awfully unique heroine but for all intents & purposes was a very likable character.

The romance between the two was sweet & the sex was hot which is something i have come to expect & totally love about r.e's novel.

description

There's always some rouge trying to kidnap the heroine (in this it's case Jenna) & her wolf in shinning arm (Logan) which rushes in & save her, again something I've come to expect, there's some sweet & tender romance, uber hot & always unique sex scenes, some of my favorite Characters from previous novels will reappear, all before a nicely wrapped up HEA.....yes sometimes it can be a bit predictable (especially if you've read others in the series) & even a wee bit clique but that's what I like about it, I know even tho all this bad stuff will happen the mated pair will still walk happily into the sunset.

You can't beat a happily ever after, cause in the end isn't that what we all want.

A tattooed bad boy wolf looking for his true mate?

Yes please!

I'm a sucker for a hero with the name Logan, the fact that he's a wolf is just icing on an already yummy cake.

Usually with the paranormal romance I'm reading, the hero is a powerful shifter and the heroine a mere unsuspecting mortal. I was glad to see that author R.E. Butler decided to make Jenna, the heroine, a fae giving her more equal footing with Logan. Though she's technically a fae of lower rank in her world, she doesn't let any one put her down or treat her as a lesser being. Jenna has been to the mortal realm before, while on vacation with her parents but Logan's world is still somewhat new to her. She isn't stupidly naive about it though. She's boldly curious and learns to adapt quickly. It's her world that Logan has trouble with!

I loved the different realms and how what was normal for Jenna was literally a different world to Logan. His reaction to Jenna's world was amusing. Blue horses, blue boars? And a feisty sprite named Darlie? She was my favorite. Deciding to make her home in Logan's backyard, Darlie was confident, bossy and and as tiny as she was, she didn't show any fear of Logan at all.

Old characters from previous books make an appearance, but for the most part it is strictly Logan and Jenna's story. Their romance is front and center and doesn't disappoint. As far as the paranormal aspect of the story goes, I would rate it a 3. It's there and it partially defines the characters but it isn't a main factor in the book.

Fun, uncomplicated and sexy, Logan & Jenna can be read as a stand alone without any fear of spoilers even though it is book six in a series.
