Running from a dangerous secret sends Charlie straight into the arms of the one man she can never have. They’re practically family, but there is nothing brotherly about the way Erik’s touch sets her skin on fire. Wanting him this way is wrong. Taboo, even. Especially when she’s in love with Simon—his best friend. No matter how hard she tries to resist, they tempt her. Because as wrong as it may be, being with them just feels so right. But someone else wants Charlie. And soon, there will be nowhere left for her to hide.
Authors Note: This book contains dark themes. This is a MFM romance where it is all about her. The men are possessive, dominant, and filthy mouthed. Please check the author's note and be mindful of triggers. Updated 2024
Erik, Simon, and Charlie are such an amazing throuple. I first read this story when it was released in an anthology and wanted to scream at the author for leaving us off at a massive, gut wrenching, cliffhanger. So I’ve waited patiently, we’ll as patiently as I could, for it to be expanded and finished with an HEA. Ms. Danvers did NOT disappoint. This is one emotional rollercoaster ride with some sizzling chemistry thrown in. I cannot wait to see what else this author comes out with.
This book was absolutely AMAZONG! Simon, Charlie, and Erik gave me literally all the feels! This book did not disappoint at all when it came to spice and the plot was even better! I could not get enough! There were definitely twist and surprises during the story that kept me interested from the beginning! Highly recommend!!!!
Also this author is a GODDESS WHEN SHE WRITES!!!!!
I really wanted to rate this 3.5 but can’t do half stars on here so I rounded up.
This book is full spice and I’m a sucker for the step-brother troupe. Charlie being able to not only have her boyfriend, Simon, of 3 years and finally be able to admit and act upon her feelings for Erik, her step-brother, is an amazing why choose romance. The scenes of all three of them together and even 1-1 makes this a one hand book if you know what I mean.
What brought the rating down for me though was the confusing pov. It was 3rd person with getting the actual thoughts of one person but bouncing between them all depending on the paragraph.
The spice is par of the course in this story. Charlie, our FMC is in a relationship and moves in with him and his best friend who just happens to be Charlie’s step brother. Seems he’s always held a candle for our girl, who is a tad trepidatious to begin with him being more or less her sibling, not only that she doesn’t want to ruin her relationship with Simon but he is on board of course. Thus their whole throuple affair begins. Charlie is hiding a secret though and it’s about to come between the three.
Flows well, with effective visuals. I did find parts predictable but that’s a me thing and not necessarily what others would find. All in all it was a smexy throuple read.
If you aren’t okay with step siblings being together, this is not the book for you! Please don’t read it and then penalize the author. This book is packed full of steam, has a good storyline that leaves the reader with suspense and the characters are very likable. The steamy scenes are very well written and leave little to the imagination!!! This is my first read from this author but won’t be my last!
This book is full spice. Charlie moves in with her boyfriend Simon and her stepbrother Erik. Charlie has a stalker and believes they will go away once she has moved in but it doesn’t. The reveal of the stalker will surprise you. Highly recommend this MFM romance, especially if you love your spice.
The story was so predictable that I started skimming. The POV was also very confusing, I never who was actually talking or thinking because it jumped between the three main characters.
DNF. If you want spice and no story, this is for you. I was actually excited for the plot in this one and was so let down I actually found myself skimming the sex scenes. And I cringed every time I read the word cupcake or little lamb. They aren't sexy pet names and way overused.
This was a dark and very spicy story that straddles the line between a novel and a novella.
Charlie is being stalked, which is her main reason for moving in with her boyfriend and her stepbrother. Unbeknownst to Charlie, Simon and Erik have had conversations about how they feel about Charlie, and how they know she feels about them.
The spicy scenes are really well done, although there are a few scenes where I was questioning whether that would actually work as described, and it was generally very enjoyable.
The bit that really frustrated me was the unnecessary drama of Charlie not talking about her problems with Simon and Erik. So you've got these serious questions about whether they should pursue their relationship as a threesome, questions about hating and loving someone at the same time, realistic reactions to deep trauma, and yet the girl wasn't mature enough to have a conversation with her lovers about being stalked?
It felt like unnecessary drama, and it could have been just as dramatic even if they had employed healthy conversation for that as well. If anything, it could have been even better done to show the frustration of Simon and Erik from being unable to protect Charlie from the effects of the stalking.
Regardless, that's my main hangup. There's plentiful spice, open door and quite explicit, all good fun overall.
This story is a taboo MFM story with an added stalker who haunts and threatens Charlie (Charlotte). Side note: there seems to be a lot of menage stories with a woman named Charlie.
The beginning was decent but the writing and dialogue got so repetitive. There were some scenes where the author seemed to forget that the characters already knew something or just made things disproportionately dramatic. The end was really boring.
But the point where I knew this wasn’t a great book was when the author blatantly gives away who the mystery stalker is, then as if we are too dumb to figure it out writes the “reveal” and character reactions like it will be some big surprise. Even the characters should have figured it out, they work for law firms. 🙄. The final showdown is weak/nonexistent. The BDSM elements are kind of weakly written and don’t address consent or proactive communication very well.
Two stars because it was not quite bad enough to not finish it.
This MFM why choose romance had a lot going for it—the chemistry sizzled in just the right moments, the emotional build-up felt genuine, and I appreciated the way each character brought something different to the relationship. It’s the kind of story that makes you daydream just a little, wondering what if love didn’t have to follow rules.
But as much as I wanted to fully surrender to the journey, I kept waiting for that emotional crescendo—that scene, that twist, that vulnerability that would grab me by the heart and not let go. The connection was good... I just wanted to feel it more deeply. Like it was almost magic, but didn’t quite cast the full spell.
Still, if you’re a fan of slow-burn intimacy, tender moments between all pairings, and a romance that honors choice over convention, it’s worth diving into. With a little more depth or daring, this story could’ve become an all-time favorite.
This book blew me away! I fell in love with these characters. Charlie was so fun and my heart absolutely broke for her.
Simon and his sweet steady adoration of Charlie was completely swoon worthy. Don’t get me started on his dirty talk, I’m shocked my kindle isn’t still smoking!
Erik got himself a special place in my heart, he is hot, charismatic, and you can’t help but look forward to each and every scene with him!
This book is heavy on the spice, and the emotions in this book pack a serious punch. Highly recommend this MFM romance, especially if you love your spice with a side of kink 🔥😉🔥
Charlie loves her boyfriend Simon, but can't help the feelings she has for the one man she can't have: her step-brother Erik. Will she ever be able to choose or will she have to?
Erik was by far my favorite character in this throple. It seemed like I was looking forward to every scene that had him in it. He was charismatic, charming and sweet with Charlie. Simon was also really sweet and he had so much love for Charlie that it was endearing.
I didn't care for Charlie's character as much and just didn't relate to her. It seemed like she was a little selfish when it came to what she wanted versus her men.
genuinely one of the worst books I've ever read. Refers to her privates as her "sex" and I hate that! Can't keep up with which guy is saying what, at times it didnt even say who had even started talking. as a 23 yr old she wore a dress she had when she was 16? okay🙄 but her boobs were big enough to spill out of the hands of a 6'whatever size man. also a strange man crawled in her bed and she didnt notice he was different than her actual boyfriends? the boys characters didnt match consistently. I read alot of dark romance and this book was all over the place. I only finished it in hopes the author uses the money to go toward good editing and story proofing from now on.

I received this book as a ARC in exchange for a honest review. This is wrote in 3rd person point of view. I always seem to have a hard time with this point of view, because you don't get the internal monologs of feelings and such thoughts that happen in these types of stories. This is very well written, had good story flow, and it's spicy! TW: There is a section with dark theme of stalking and attempted rape. Simon, Charlie, and Erik make a great throuple, the story moves fast and is really good.
What a great read from a first time author! Lots of intrigue to go along with great characters, a storyline that keeps going well during the entire book, some twists and turns, great secks, and a slam bang ending!
Two people are hard enough to keep a relationship going, but three? Communication is the key and these three learn that in a hard way. Erik, Charlie, and Simon .. great friends and now great lovers (mfm).
Come and enjoy Lenore's first book and become one of her fans. It's worth it! ♡
Charlie has been in a relationship with Simon for 3 years. He is best friends and roommate to Erik, her once stepbrother. A dangerous situation occurs that she does not want to tell them about. Instead, she decides to make up a lie and move in with Simon. This opens them up to the MFM relationship that they didn't know that they needed. What will happen now though? Will this dangerous situation get worse, will Charlie ask for their help, and what will their families think of their relationship? Read to find out.
i was actually very surprised at how much i enjoyed this! It’s mostly spice and smut with a teeny little plot going on in the background but i loved that. The background plot was really interesting, i mean i figured it out almost immediately but i was still curious on how it would play out. The spice was great, I really loved Simon and Erik. Charlie wasn’t my absolute FMC that has been in a book but she also wasn’t terrible. Overall i very much enjoyed this and would recommend it to someone who like 90% smut and 10% plot!
My kindle and my panties just about exploded into flames!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the hottest MFM I've had the pleasure of devouring. The dynamic between these three is not only hot but so loving and beyond supportive. They have created their own family and I'm here for it.
There is a bad guy. A bad guy that you really would not have suspected and it'll knock you for a loop when you realize who it is!
O my gosh!!! The spice was right away in chapter one and the sexual tenison was through the whole book. Lenore had all the mystery, suspense, and emotions need to make this book amazing. I love how Simon would do anything for Charlie and Erik is every a reader wants in a alpha book boyfriend. Simon is too when he goes all dominate!
The twist of the stalker and who it was amazing!!!
This is my first but not my last read by this author. It’s been a while since I read a naughty story so I thoroughly enjoyed this.
The three main characters are very likeable with Charlie being a very lucky girl ;) Unfortunately when she’s not with Simon and Erik she’s worrying about a stalker.
I really enjoyed this story. The sexy scenes were oh so hot with some off the charts chemistry.
Can’t wait to read more from this author in the future.
This book is EVERYTHING I’ve ever needed in a book! It’s a RH / why choose, taboo (stepbrother) romance. Remember to check your triggers!
It’s by far my favorite book Lenore has written yet! I love the relationship between Erik, Simon & Charlie. There was twist and turns in the story that kept me hooked from the first chapter. If a step sibling trope, and full of spice this is for you! RUN AND GET IT NOW! 🖤
Illicit Desires is fantastic and sensational. I loved it from start to finish. The chemistry between Erik, Charlie and Simon is steamy. Your drawn into every word and don’t want it to end. There is heated passion, excitement, mystery, and so much more. Get your copy and experience a story that is fiery spectacular and amazing.
WOW this book is smoking hot!!! If you are looking for a good MFM this book is for you. You’ve been warned it is hot🔥The chemistry between Charlie, Simon & Erik is chefs kiss . And the twist….This is a definite recommend for me. As always make sure your comfortable because this one will definitely make you sweat 🌶🌶🌶 Happy reading book besties 💙
I couldn't put this book down. Charlie, Erik and Simon are friends and when Charlie ends up in danger, Erik and Simon are going to do their best to keep her safe!! I loved each of the guys and how they each had something that Charlie needed in her life. But will the danger take her away from the two men who love her?
