This Christmas, join Dawn and Debra as they unravel romance and rekindle love in the enchanting charm of Breckenridge.
Dawn and Debra Taylor, who lost touch with their brother years ago, are stunned when he suddenly invites them back to their childhood hometown of Breckenridge for the holidays. They return to find a man in ruins – and the estate they’d fought over so many years ago lying in shambles.
Determined to rekindle their relationship with their only remaining family, Dawn and Debra settle in for the holiday season… and they quickly reawaken fond memories from their childhood.
But when their brother mysteriously vanishes, leaving behind nothing but a cryptic trail of clues, the twins are plunged into a puzzling scavenger hunt to find him before Christmas. As old flames step back into their lives, long-forgotten romances begin to smolder as both twins are brought face-to-face with the men they thought they’d left firmly in their past.
Can Dawn and Debra find their brother before Christmas night? And as their hunt for clues takes them across town and deep into their own pasts, what will the sisters discover about themselves along the way?
As a delightful feel-good Christmas read that intertwines wholesome romance with a dash of mystery, The Christmas Cottage is a fun and festive contemporary women’s fiction series that will warm your heart and speak to your soul.
Grace Meyers is an author of beachy feel-good romances and women's contemporary fiction. She was born in the south, but has traveled a bit since then and now lives in a small coastal town.
This is not my favorite series. It’s tiring to read. The people and the town are odd; and where is Dawson. Hopefully Book 4 will shed some light on this mystery. Thank you for the ARC copy.
I just can’t get into this book like all of Grace Meyer’s other books. This is just not her typical writings. It just seems to be more of the same over & over. Dawson’s adopted twin sisters still have no idea where Dawson is or what he is doing. They keep checking with everyone & the law & nobody is doing anything to try to find him after leaving his Halloween party with that ruff looking guy! Orlando & Pierce, while trying to renew old romances are trying to keep the twins happy & safe while Dawson plays his little games. Boy when the twins find out what’s really going on I wouldn’t want to be him! Both of the twin’s kids are getting restless & bored so they are doing everything they can to try to keep them satisfied. They are cleaning up the house, repairing & decorating for Christmas & going all out to keep busy & make the place look better. They find a puzzle ball during a scavenger hunt & finally a note with a key wondering what will they find next & what will happen next!
I received this ARC & I am giving my best review of it in my own words. Has lots of mystery!
Orlando and Pierce are tryung to get Dawso to change his idea of the filmin and his continuance in deceiving his sisters with his absence and causing them to worry.
Erick got the first puzzle open and it was to Dawn, a diamond and blue sapphire engagement ring. But from whom? Went to local jeweler, Gorden, and he would not tell Dawn who purchased the ring.
The kids, Fran and Erick, along with Pierce and Orlando got the Christmas trees up and then everyone pitched in decorating them and the house was transformed into a Christmas scen.
Neighbor Jenn brought over an unmarked card with only initials D & D that she supposedly found in her mailbox with no other information on it. t contained a riddle. They decided to try the key they'd found i9nto a door at the end of the top hallway...
I received an early copy for my honest and free review.
I really wanted to love this series because I love everything that Grace Meyers has written but it, it seems to me that the third story becomes bogged down. An elaborate hoax possibly engineered by Dawson a step- brother who so far has been distant. People come out of nowhere, disappear, won’t answer questions. It’s the holidays, and the children would be disappointed to leave. What saves the storyline are the two men (old friends) flirting and teasing the ladies in hopes of reuniting a past love affair.
Thanksgiving has passed and Dawn and Debbie begin to think about decorating for Christmas. They take the kids plus Orlando and Pierce to buy trees and better decorations. Dawson is still missing and the sisters can’t find anyone interested in searching. A puzzle box and a mysterious diamond ring have the sisters freaked out. They discuss heading home. There kids Fran and Erick are tired of being gone and getting bored.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my Honest opinion.
What is Dawson doing? This has disaster written all over it and Orlando and Pierce are also going to pay the price when it is revealed that they are in on Dawson's trick. Dawn, Deb, Fran, and Erick are so worried about Dawson, but frustrated at the same time too. This story gets stranger by the minute and the whole town is in on the weird. It is intriguing and every book adds more to the strangeness. What did the team reveal when they opened the door? I cannot wait to find out.
Dawn and Deb are no closer to finding their brother. Dawn receives a diamond ring and has no idea where it came from. She also visits Penny at the hair salon, but she slips out the back before they can talk. Still not sure what is happening here. Look forward to reading more. I received an advanced reader copy of this book, and this is my honest review.
Dawson still hasn't shown up and Dawn and Debbie are FURIOUS!!! Threatening to leave. What is going on ? Penny, Dawson's wife won't speak to them, literally avoiding them at all costs. The Entire town is clammed up when it comes to Dawson.
This is a somewhat strange. Things are slowly coming together. Dawson put this game into play and his sisters are the joke. Shame on Dawson. To be continued..
