When a grumpy orc firefighter meets a Christmas-obsessed human, sparks fly as snarky words and opposite worlds collide.
Joy I've always believed in the magic of Christmas, but I never expected it to arrive in the form of a scowling, green-skinned volunteer. Grum’s gruff exterior hides a heart as big as his huge, tattooed muscles, yet our scorching attraction faces a sinister plot that threatens both our communities.
Grum I hate Christmas. Period. But when Joy barges into my life with her carols, tinsel, and relentless good cheer, I’m dragged into her whirlwind of holiday madness. Now we're tracking down stolen presents, exposing corruption, and—against my better judgment—I'm thinking Christmas might not be so bad after all.

This was so wholesome. A perfect quick story to help you find your Christmas spirit. I love the banter and the grumpy/sunshine trope. The two main characters are written well, and I love their personalities. I also liked seeing the characters from the earlier books again.
I loved reading Joy and Grum's well written Christmas story. there is drama, suspense, stolen presents, corruption, twists, turns and romance. I would recommend. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wish I could give this one ten stars! What a perfect Christmas themed read for Alana Khan. I loved the sleuthing and action in the plot as well has the sweet Grum who went from the Grinch to jolly. This book was perfect in every way and I loved that Khan is continuing to write this series. I can’t wait to see what other adventures await us in the Zone! Download and enjoy❤️❤️
As a child, the Orc Grum -- along with minotaurs, nagas, wolven, and others -- was pulled through a Rift, landing on Earth with no way to return to his family. He took an instant dislike toward Christmas where people smile and expect everyone to be merry while never making him feel welcomed and treating him like a stranger. It gets on his nerves. And he misses his family. Fortunately his boss, Fire Chief Brokka, was able to stop the out-of-control Grum before he could climb up on the float and toss Santa off! He had already made quite a mess on his way to the float as he trampled tinsel, crushed candy canes, and broke ornaments. He felt a little bit of guilt when he saw the disappointed children; and his fellow firefighters avoided looking at him as he was called to the Chief’s office. So the following year, before public Christmas celebrations started, the Chief ordered a Community service activity for Grum, helping with a Santa’s Workshop event with both humans and Orcs for the benefit of children whose parents need help making Christmas special. If he can’t change his attitude this year, he will be let go from his job.
Joy Noel is well-named as she loves every magical moment of Christmas, spreading love and happiness everywhere she goes. So she was a bit startled when a scowling “volunteer” showed up at the “Jingle All the Way” store to help this year. But when they need to investigate who could be responsible for stealing a truckload of toys, Emma uses her computer skills and is able to hack into street cameras. That helps Joy and her group follow the stolen truck. As they move closer to secretly watch the thieves, who had expected to be stealing computers and electronics, they see them start slashing open the stuffed toys. Joy can no longer watch the destruction of the children’s toys and steps out to confront them. Grum puts himself in front of her to protect her from harm. His size alone makes the thieves run away, but Grum grabs the watchman who is also involved and the police are on the way. Joy was pleased to save the toys, but was informed that they couldn’t be used for gifts since they just became “evidence”. Grum now realizes that he cares about the children and their happiness. They have become important to him. And Joy has also noticed the change in Grum. Can they find a way to save Christmas for the kids? And will the two of them find a HEA for themselves as well?
Grum is not a happy orc. He’s been sent to help the obnoxiously upbeat and Christmas-obsessed Joy set up her new store in The Zone. It’s part of the “community service” he’s required to do by his boss so he can keep his job as a firefighter. The holidays are not a happy time for Grum and he’s barely hanging on with her non-stop Christmas spirit.
Joy Noel lives up to her name. Joy loves Christmas. She really, really loves everything about Christmas to the point she owns a year-round Christmas store just across the street from The Zone. She’s setting up a Christmas store in the Zone now and needs help. Grum, one of the Orc firefighters, is sent to help her.
But when a truck full of thousands of dollars of Christmas gifts for needy children are stolen, he’s strangely driven to help Joy recover them. He’s also become oddly protective of Joy as she risks her own safety to be sure those gifts get to the children. Unfortunately, he needs to protect Joy because what appears to be just a vehicle theft becomes something much more sinister and wide-ranging.
Will they recover the toys and solve the mystery of the theft ring without becoming victims themselves? And will his heart continue to thaw and grow the more time he spends with Joy or will the danger tear them apart?
Absolutely loved this book from the start to the finish. I loved how the book had the Christmas theme, but not the same typical theme that is written in many other books. I was totally hooked from the start and so loved the whole grouchy Orc who couldn't stand anything about Christmas and as a punishment he has to go do community service with the sweetest Christmas obsessed Female he has ever met.
I loved every single minute of this book I got the good Christmas feel from it as well as loved the Christmas caper that was added into the story and how one Very Grinchy Orc and one Tinsel Queen got together and fell for one another through everything they were doing. This is a book I couldn't put down and wanted to growl just as much as Grum did during the book when I was interrupted and had to put it down. Love how Alana adds her other existing characters from her other series.
Highly recommend this book and you would be a fool to pass this one up!!!!!!
This was such a fun holiday romance and another fab read for the series. I really enjoyed just how grumpy Grum was over Christmas and the contrast of Joy literally being like her name and spreading all the cheer she could, everywhere ;) Of course, he's not as grumpy as he seems and as they work on the mystery of who seems to be sabotaging the holidays, he lets Joy in to see that soft centre he hides. With lots of banter, and a steamy connection, this was a page turner and thoroughly enjoyable :D
I love me some alien or supernatural Christmas hunks but I gotta admit that orcs are not my favorite. I can’t get over believing that their tusks would rip their partner's lips to shreds when kissing. Who needs that?
Not a bad story but just a bit too goofy for me. Joy drove me nuts when she insisted that their little group endanger themselves by trying to find the goods on the bad guy instead of letting professionals take over - “No way, Grum. We started this together; we'll finish it together. Tonight.”
The Grinch Who Stole Orcmas is a sweet and spicy holiday tale with a grumpy/sunshine theme. And while Grum gets his tinsel in a tangle, Joy spreads her holiday magic with enough cheer to drive away any Christmas Grinch! It is so easy to fall in love with Alana Khan’s Orcs and I highly recommend starting the OrcFire series from the beginning so you do not miss a thing!
OMG, I think this is my favorite Orc book! Grum is a wonderful Grinch who hates all things Christmas. Joy is a happy ray of Sunshine who is all about everything Christmas. When Grum is forced to volunteer to help Joy put on a Santa's workshop in the Zone magic starts to happen. This book is filled with mystery, adventure and romance. It is engrossing and fun. As a bonus we get to see friends from the previous books in the series. Loved it!
Alana Khan is one of my favorite authors! The Grinch who stole Orcmas is book 7 in the OrcFire series! Grim is a Grinch. He hates everything about Christmas, even human Joy who runs the nearby Christmas store and is set to decorate the community center. Then he gets to know her and she him, and the two are off to solve the great Christmas present heist and bring down a truly bad guy! Love everything about this!
Grum is not a fan of Christmas. His boss assigns him community service at a special Christmas shop that Joy owns. Joy loves all things Christmas and tends to go over board on songs, tinsel and, basically, anything Christmas. Joy's goal is to give all children, human and others, gifts to enjoy as well as helping them get into the Christmas spirit. Then the gifts were stolen and Joy and Grum along with some orcs, make a plan to find the gifts. This story has romance, danger and Christmas joy.
What a cute story from start to finish. Regardless of the season I love how everyone in the Zone helps each other, no questions asked, and this story goes above and beyond. Yes we have a grouchy grumpy bah humbug but with the help of a good woman he sees the errors of his ways.
Sparks fly when a grumpy Orc firefighter who hates Christmas is forced to assist a bubbly human named Joy Noel who lives the Christmas spirit 365 days a year. Think constant loud Christmas music and ugly Christmas sweaters. Add in the madcap hunt for a stolen truck filled with Christmas toys and the fun begins. I couldn't put the book down.
I love the theme of the story! Taking 2 opposites and bringing them together. A soft hearted woman breaking down the cold hearted male, you can never go wrong with a story like that! Enchanting holiday read.
A wonderful Christmas story from the zone. Grum hates all things Christmas. When he is forced to work in Santa’s Workshop, Joy is there to spread her magic, that even Grum can’t withstand! Don’t miss it!
Grum and Joy They are very well named for he is very grumpy and She is super joyfull! Its a quick and fun book to read, we get a mistery to solve bad guys to catch and a Grinch to convert! Such a cute litlle story, just that CUP of hot chocolate we need to warm our hearts.
I can't help but grin when I realize the connection: the MMC is called Grum, Mr. Grinch himself, and the FMC is called Joy Noel, our Ms. Sunshine. The atmosphere is Christmassy with mystery, thriller, romance, and a change of heart. What our Mr. Grinch needed all along is the magic of love.
What a great Orc Christmas Romance. Grum is a real Grinch at Christmas time. To help him find his Christmas Spirit, He is assigned to help Joy with a toy give away for needed Children. Together they make the magic of Christmas happen and find Grum's Christmas Spirit.
A sweet Christmas tale full of Orcs, humans, found family and friends. With a dash of exuberant Christmas Spirit, Joy brings so much goodness to this story. And Grumm brings the grinchiness. Toss in some sleuthing, danger and spice and you will find this is a favorite story for the season
This was a fun holiday story with a touch of adventure and some steamy romance, of course. Loved Grum and Joy together. They brought out the best in each other. What a great story.
Joy is an exuberant person and sucks in Grum and (or Ginch). These two compliment each other. Stolen toys bring three couples together to play sleuths. But more importantly to become family. Enjoy
Okay, this is a Grinch I fully support. I was wondering how this was going to turn around. Nicely done. I just loved it. The fact that they managed to be inclusive of multiple cultures was amazing.
Interesting story of how a grumpy Orc found his holiday spirit while solving an embezzlement case, finding stolen Christmas gifts and finding the love of his life. A little danger, excitement, and adventure while getting their HEA.
This is a quick great holiday read with a little alien flavor. The hero is a christmas grouch with a great reason, but the heroine christmas cheer rubs off on him. He comes to appreciate the christmas spirit, and the heroine realize that Orc have there own holiday customs that are just as great.
OMGosh! This story was a great time! Had me laughing out loud! Who doesn't love a grinch who gains his heart story? And he finds true love?? Even better! I love how they go on a spree to save the gifts for the needy and he realizes that not all humans are bad.
What a delightful Christmas romance. I loved the mystery that had to be solved and the love that grew between our grumpy Orc and the human he nicknamed Tinsel Toes. And the intimacy between those two was flaming hot! Just what you expect from Alana.
