In this steamy pararnormal romance, ambitious shapeshifting police detective Libby Maitland becomes the departmental liaison for Crispin Alexandros, a demagogue who is reviving human hatred of Shapeshifters. Although Libby's promising career tanks, the presence of Dash Honeycutt, the outrageously handsome Alexandros security chief, provides a tempting distraction.
A Titan descendant, Dash works for Alexandros ostensibly to find his twin sister, who eloped with a werewolf. His real job is spying for the Supernatural Network. Despite his grudge against shifters, Dash falls for Libby.
When Libby becomes embroiled in a deadly Alexandros project, Dash must resolve his conflict between duty and desire to rescue her.
I enjoyed this second book in the Shape-Sisters trilogy. The author Zanna Archer skillfully presented depth to Libby and Dash's characters. The plot where the antagonist Alexandros was set to expose and destroy all shape-shifters was original and had great world building. I liked that Libby and Dash both had secrets which they needed to trust each other to keep their identities hidden. Plus there was a mystery murderer they needed to solve in the midst of a hot sensual romance. A loaded book that won't disappoint! Bring on the third book!
