Lena's fresh start in her grandmother's old Victorian house takes a sinister turn when her housewarming celebration becomes a crime scene. As guests fall ill and accusations fly, Lena finds herself at the center of a poisonous plot. With the help of her grandmother's ghost, she must unravel a web of secrets, rivalries, and hidden agendas before the killer strikes again.
In the quaint town of New Oslo, where everyone has a stake in Lena's inherited property, friend and foe blur into one. As she digs deeper, Lena uncovers long-buried tensions and realizes that her dream home might be hiding more than just creaky floorboards.
Will Lena solve the mystery before she becomes the next victim, or will her housewarming be her final welcome?
Giving credit where it’s due, book two was better than book one. The editing errors were minimal which helped a lot, the plot advancement ✔️ the character advancement ✔️ minimally but enough, the culprits were pretty easy to spot but it’s a cozy so 🤷🏾♀️. Charlie wasn’t as involved in the investigation this time and grandma ghost pops up to give warnings. Given the title of the books it would be nice to actually have her involved in the actual investigations moving forward. The epilogue was sweet though.
Book 2 of the mysteries series - I loved how the author picked up where things left off in the first book. You really don't miss a beat and it feels like no time has passed at all. Lena and her Granny have yet run into some mysterious trouble and Lena's new home is yet the center of it all. Will she solve the mystery or will she become the culprit? Such a good and yet another fast read. So far I'd defiantly recommend this series to anyone looking for a fast read, fun, and cute pallet cleanser. This series is making me feel like a little Nancy Drew.
This short story is not as good as the first one, but still valuable. The characters are more relatable and are interesting. The plot is straightforward with only a few liberties taken, and the premise is finding out who poisoned the punch at the main character's "Welcome to my new Neighbors" party. The extent of human greed is astounding at times and this story shows it. I definitely recommend this short story and the first one.
This is my first "Granny's Ghost" mystery book. It was fine, straight to the point, and an easy, quick read. This was a, if Hallmart had a mystery series month, "Granny's Ghost" would be perfect. A cozy mystery. I do like the main character Lena and the fact she is so close to her grandmother.
Did no one proofread this book? Things don’t always make sense, facts are almost immediately contradicted. Clunky story telling that feels rushed. I did enjoy the set up, there is so much potential here and it’s a definite improvement on book one.
This book feels disjointed. As if it were pieced together & no one paid attention to the pieces. Was there no editor? It's obvious no proofreading was done. Author, please thoroughly read what you have written before publishing!
Really good book I enjoy reading about this dynamic trio and how they solve mysteries together, it’s really entertaining he can’t wait for the next book
