POPKULTUROWY KOCIOŁEK: W czwartym tomie poznajemy retrospekcję sprzed trzech lat, kiedy Nagi i Shizuka wciąż uczęszczali do Akademii Profesora. Yûri Oboro, czternastoletnia dziewczyna, przybywa do placówki, aby zmierzyć się z Nagim i udowodnić swoją wartość.

Czwarty tom przenosi nas w mroczny i przytłaczający świat Akademii. Yûri szybko poznaje hierarchię uczniów i reguły panujące w placówce. Jej celem jest spotkanie z Nagim, lecz nie wie, że stanie się częścią spisku destabilizującego Akademię. W tym czasie Nagi i Shizuka próbują przetrwać w trudnych warunkach, przygotowując się do przyszłych wydarzeń.

Akcja tomu jest dynamiczna, a retrospekcja wprowadza wątek psychologiczny. Czytelnik obserwuje rozwój Yûri, która kryje niepewność za dystyngowanym wyglądem. Autor pokazuje jej przeszłość, pochodzenie i wyjątkowe zdolności, nadając postaci głębi i motywacji. Tomik wyróżnia się także zabawnymi i dziwacznymi interakcjami między postaciami.


Pomimo intensywnych scen, narracja stara się być płynna i spójna. Przez większą część mangi to się udaje, chociaż pojawiają się tu chwile scenariuszowego chaosu. Momentami fabuła wydaje się ponadto trochę za bardzo przekombinowana, lecz szybkie tempo i nowe postacie utrzymują ciekawość czytelnika.

Czwarty tom pokazuje również więź między Nagim a Shizuką. Rodzeństwo nadal walczy o przetrwanie, a ich relacja dodaje emocjonalnego wymiaru brutalnej historii....

Leading up to this point, it feels as if the series only got worse and worse. To say the least, I’m disappointed.

I was hooked at the beginning very thoroughly; but as it began delving into the “academy” I began to loose interest. This is not anyone’s fault really, I just find the trope overdone and think the overall story could’ve been better without it. Why a school? It’s always a school. I’m tired of it.

The premise is cool, and Tank Chair himself is wicked. I like him as an adult— not a big fan of the past. His past makes him…dull, though besides the cool armor, Tank Chair is kind of just a dull, average anime boy protagonist.

I wanted more. It needed to be reworked. But it seems that every volume gets worse— more rushed, less compelling. At this point, I think it’s time for me to drop this.

Auch der vierte Band von Tank Chair hat wieder freude gemacht.

Wir bekommen ein wenig von der Zeit mit als Nagi (also Tank Chair) auf die Killer-Akademie ging.

So the series did wrap up nicely with vol 3 but uhhh I guess the author wanted to make this series last longer I guess.
