Devangelizing Bethany

Rate this book
She wasn’t supposed to know about it. She wasn’t supposed to look for it. She certainly wasn’t supposed to talk about it. Now it is destroying her life.

THE DEVOUT, OBEDIENT CHRISTIAN DAUGHTER
Everyone loves Bethany. She is a kind, obedient, devout, intelligent, loving Christian who wakes up every morning with a smile and a hug for everyone, especially her adopted best friend, and even for an overbearing brother and a surly sister. She is also blessed with beauty. Her blonde hair, crystal blue eyes and a pearly white smile draw people to her like a magnet. She lives a luxurious, nearly perfect life in a big white mansion in a protected Evangelical Christian enclave. She is safe, comfortable, content and happy.

UNTIL SHE DISCOVERS A SECRET
Bethany’s innate inquisitiveness leads her to question the history told by her Christian school teachers. Things are just not adding up. Her faith in the goodness of people will not allow her to believe that people of the distant past could be as evil as she is being told. The answer might be held in a children’s tale of a mythical town claimed by legend to exist deep in a dark, forbidden wood where children go in and don’t come out. It is too intriguing to ignore. As she seeks to discover the answer, she uncovers a secret that could endanger her way of life, the Church’s credibility, her safety and her father’s plan to use her to satisfy his ambition.

Should she reveal the secret or just live with it festering her soul?
