Small-town romance is one of my all-time favorites, but when you pair it with a coastal Carolina setting it's irresistible. I fell in love with Sandcastle Cove and it’s people and can’t get enough. If you haven’t yet read this talented storyteller’s work, you’re really missing out.
Love is in the air and wedding festivities are on the calendar, so Amiya Chelton leaves Atlanta and heads to Sandcastle Cove to be her best friend's maid of honor, right hand gal, and mediator of conflict when it comes to dealing with a well-intended momzilla. That's all good with Amiya, until she finds out she'll be sharing the beach cabana with Lennon, the grumpy, stoic brother of the groom.
This forced-proximity, grumpy/sunshine romance is heartfelt, humorous, and captivating, but it's the people that really make this story shine. Lennon's family is charming and funny, and the banter between friends is lively and hilarious. Lennon seems like such a contradiction with his buttoned-up personality, but he fits in perfectly and is perfect for Amiya.
Amiya deserves her own shout-out, and I adore her because she's unapologetically herself. She knows her strengths and weaknesses and embraces them, always being true. She's fiercely loyal and finds her own place to belong with her best friend's family and friends. I love the strong family element, both Lennon's close knit family that spans generations and the found family borne through friendship and shared heartache. Brimming with humor, heat, and heart, you won’t want to miss this phenomenal, special small-town romance!
