Gunner and Marlowe's story is great but the sex scenes are really graphic and that can really interrupt and slow the story down. I have read many stories by the this author and didn't encounter that problem before. Her Wolf Pack Series is awesome because the characters, the conflicts and theme is never overwhelmed by repetitious sex scenes. There are one or two but they keep the story flowing.
Gunner is like most fictional billionaires, entitled and self-absorbed. He thinks the world revolves around him. He pretends to be Marlowe's blind date and doesn't understand why she is so upset over his lie. Personally, I liked his twin brother, Maverick, much more than Gunner.
Lots of misunderstanding, heartache and trust issues in this one.

Okay!! I had to mentally recover after reading this! This was such a beautifully heartbreaking romance that ended with a HEA! But the rollercoaster you had to get on to get to the HEA! Was literally such a crazy ride, I devoured every last little bit of this delicious book! it felt like I was experiencing everything on these pages as I was reading the words! Totally can't wait for Maverick's & Ember's or Quinn's book! I want more🥰

Uhh working as a nanny for the mc is quite normal, but as a housekeeper/maid? Not so much. I don't know how the guy is fine his lady cleaning his house, doing the house chores while continue having a relationship with her like it's a normal thing to do. Cringeeee! Or is it just me? Help!! I get it he hired her to work for him but not as a maid please. Not degrading the job but you'd understand if you read the book.
I was really enjoying it until it gets to that part when she works for him. I don't think she realise she is the maid with the way she was acting. Yes they met before she works for him but sometimes you need to know your place and not sell your self too easily. Some parts are just soo unrealistic I wish it'd just stop. But noooo she gets special treatment okayy no way y'all be gettin that anywhere. 💅🏻💅🏻

Loved It!!
This was a great love story! Just to think, Marlow and Gunner met by accident. She was thinking that Gunner was her blind date, and he never corrected her. He just went through with it, all the while praying that her real date didn’t show up. Marlow was hot as “fish grease” when she found out. She then wanted nothing to do with him. Gunner was so mesmerized by Marlow, he wanted to spend more time with her. She ended up working for him when she was laid off her job. They both had mother issues. They went through hell and back, but it all worked out in the end! Thank you Maureen Smith for another spectacular book!! I hope Gunner’s twin brother, Maverick has a story next!!! ❤️🔥

What a phenomenal book! First time I’ve read anything my this author and I can honestly say..she has a gift! Not only was this an incredible storyline that held your interest, and wasn’t too long (as some readers have said) but, I wish it went on and on…that’s how much I didn’t want to leave this couple. I can’t wait until Maverick’s story. There were just so many fantastic parts in this book like Maverick’s speech to their mother…great editing also.
I’m thrilled I discovered Maureen Smith and had the opportunity to enjoy her fantastic work! More than 100 🌟’s

Gunner & Marlowe were smoking up the pages from their first encounter at the bar. Gunner was your typical alpha male that barked and would bite you too. Really good!!!! Boy oh boy did Gunner have his issues (and Marlowe too) but for his age, def expecting more maturity. Either way, I’m glad he groveled and was miserable before getting back together lol. And def good spice! I’m sooooo excited for Mavericks story and her sister and Sedonia!! Ugh literally can’t wait!!

When it comes to realistic romance, Maureen Smith knows how to produce a masterpiece. This novel was truly riveting from beginning to end. It wasn’t total smooth sailing for this couple. The relationship had its ups and downs but love prevailed. The secondary characters were a delight and added value and balance to the story. Well done Mrs.Smith! Looking forward to future novels.

Such a great read. It reminded me of Stay With Me, which was a little different from the author's other books. But because she's such a great author she gets you so engrossed in her stories it's hard to put them down. I can't wait for more to come.

I liked the fact that Marlowe was from Pittsburgh since that's where I'm from. I didn't like how she was so insecure. I loved how Gunner and her found true love in the end. If you're a fan of Maureen Smith or never read her books you will definitely love this book.

I loved reading Marlowe and Gunner's love story as much as I loved having another novel by Maureen. I have not found any book by her that I don't enjoy.
This story is well written. From the beginning when they meet, through all the 🔥🔥🔥, until the last page, I was captivated.
