A Louisiana fireman, Clay St. Martin liked his hoses bound tight and his women bound tighter. He'd not had a traditional relationship in years and was positive he'd found the answer to all his needs and desires: The Hoodoo Pot-Baton Rouge's elite members only sex and bondage club. Eve Ivey had escaped the clutches of her evil ex, but still she constantly looked over her shoulder. That is, until she met Clay. At six feet five, he was a king among men. She'd certainly like to be his queen. He'd rescued her from a hurricane's lashing winds and rising water, but his first mistake was in bringing her home. Yet she'd had nowhere to go. A bigger mistake would have been not going back for her. And now neither of them wanted her to leave. The only thing to do was let the storm rage outside while they focused on the personal storm raging between their bodies. A storm that was advancing on their hearts.

I lead a double life. By day I’m training young women to become speech therapists. At night I sip red wine, dial down all distractions, and sink into the fictional worlds I create. Good tunes on my iPod are a must. I get so caught up in my characters that I truly wish the male hero would materialize in the flesh; especially when I see the cover image…I swoon.

I have spent the past several years working as a university instructor. My students are young adult females so I’m constantly running plot lines and book covers by them. They make a great beta team! I love my job at the university but there is something I love even more. . . romance novels. I'll read any genre as long as there are steamy sex scenes and the standard issue HEA ending. Initially I was drawn in by the escape and sweeping emotion of it all, so much so, I began to create my own fictional world.

Since I worked during the day my nights were consumed with writing. I was powerless to stop the stories that wanted to be freed from my mind. I actually started to get mixed up. I would think something I wrote at night was something I had said during the working day and vice versa. My friends were worried for my sanity but I assured them I had not gone mad, I was just writing. Once I started I wrote upwards of 3,000 words per day.

It was in the early millennium when I became brave enough to share my stories with others. I began to post my stories on fiction websites and then something marvelous happened—I was followed by hundreds of eager readers. I loved my followers and their kind words helped motivate me.

These days I am writing books and I’ve learned some things about myself during the process. I like to write series novels because I have trouble letting go. I like a little plot with my romance, erotica, contemporary. Call it what you will, but I have to have a good story in which to sink my teeth. If I start writing a story I have to finish it, even if it’s terrible.

My dog is my muse and when he tilts his forehead at me and blinks his large black eyes questioningly at me, I think he is worried I've been sucked into the wormhole of the very fiction that I write. I appreciate his concern but I have yet to fall down the rabbit hole. Here's to everyone else in my boat, may our voyage become a permanent destination.

Before anything else, let me first say how damn hot the cover was!!!! It's so FREAKIN' HOT! And the book cover's the reason why I read this. Haha! Just kidding!

Okay, seriously, I totally enjoyed this book! Sizzle was one HOT **fans oneself** READ! This was my first book by Gina Watson and my gosh it was so hot!

Clay. *sigh* He's sexy, strong, brave, loyal, protective, honorable, hot. He was the perfect combination of hard and soft, rough and soothing, dirty and nice. As a firefighter, Clay knew all about saving people and keeping them out of harm's way. He wants nothing but protects those people he loves. His family. His friends. His community. Yes, he works hard, but he also plays harder. And he loved to be in control. His needs were specific and anything but traditional. He loved to bound women in various positions using the equipment available at the club. And not easily met just anywhere that's why he joined the Hoodoo Pot Club, a sex club. He was contented with his life. He didn't do a relationship with women. Certainly not long-term. Until he met Eve. Her hair, her eyes, her smile, her voice, her sexiness... She was all he thought about. But is Clay ready to do something well out of his comfort zone?

Eve has been hurt in the past. And my heart broke for what she'd been through. And I want to find the bastard who hurt her and kill him myself. But I'm proud of her for not letting the past affect her future and not letting it kill her spirit. I'm proud of her for being so brave and strong. She is my kind of heroine. And I'm happy that she met Clay. With him, she felt so free and open. He's made her feel like herself again. The way she'd been before, she was hurt.

Sizzle was such a fantastic story. I loved that it was told in Eve and Clay's POVs. The book has a perfect blend of heat, family, drama, and a tad angsty. And don’t even get me started on the love scenes. The book delivers sexual hotness in spades! Wow! I didn’t find them in the least bit crude like some erotic stories. Instead, I thought they fit Clay and Eve perfectly, with a light BDSM and vanilla blend.

All in all, Sizzle was a delightful read. It was hot and a quick steamy novella that will have you devouring this book in just one sitting. For lovers of this genre, it is a must-read! Looking forward to reading the next installment! Yes, I can't wait to meet Augie and Jackson.

Hello ladies and gents of my blog… If you have been here within the month of August, you know I have a smutty crush on the St. Martin brothers. Ms. Gina has written a family saga in such a way that you find yourself plowing through these stories with a hunger that can only be satisfied by going to the next brother’s story. She crafts these stories where they make you want to crawl in the lap of these men and stay for a while. The details to the environment and the atmosphere will make you feel the heat only Louisiana can make you feel. Gina has a way of making all her characters stand out in your mind, you will not forget any of them… And this story is a story that I have patiently been waiting for… Clay’s story…

Clayton, Clay as he is known in his story, is the oldest of the St. Martin brothers. He is protector of all the St. Martin’s, especially their sister Clara. He is determined that no harm will come to them on his watch. Being a chief fire inspector and owner of his own fire safety business, Clay knew all about saving people and keeping them out of harms way. That’s just what he did. His job. His job kept him going all the time, leaving no room for romantic interludes but he was okay with that – as he did not want to be involved with anyone. He only wanted what he wanted, when he wanted and how he wanted. His life, sex, and job are just as he liked it… in his control. Always… in his control! That is until one woman came into his life with her innocence and smile and sizzled her way under his skin and in his every thought… until it consumed him… But was Clay ready for what his little kitten had to give…

Eve… When I meet Eve, I noticed something about her and my heart went out to her. She has been hurt in her past… hurt to a point that it scarred her. But her heart and soul would not allow that hurt to hinder her spirit. She is someone I would want as a friend because she loves with all her heart and soul and tries to give all of her to everything she touches. She brought a tear to my eye with her flinches and it makes you want to find the bastard yourself that did that to her… But I admire Eve because she is stronger than she will ever know. She is my kind of woman. She is on the run and feels it is only a matter of time before he finds her…. But when she bumps into her “gentle giant” her world changes… But is she ready to have a change like that in her life… or will her nightmares continue to haunt her day and night…

This is an amazing story of two people who are fighting their own demons. Gina does not shy away from those demons… she exploits them and they rear their ugly head throughout the story. But what I love about this story is that even though the demons come out, it is how it is handled by Clay and Eve that I take pride in. To watch these two blossom under each other’s love is something short of a miracle. Clay and Eve do have to go through hell and back in order to make it to the end but it is the last line that will get you….

The best is yet to come…

Gina does make sure to bring family in this story as well, not all of them… but a few. You know the St. Martin’s have each other’s back and Gina always makes sure you know that. There are a few more stories that I must read – so stay tune for more reviews to come of these Bayou Boys… But also stay tuned for a chance to win Clay & Eve’s story… and to read an interview with Clay and myself!! J

Happy smutty reading!!!

Clay the man with needs and Eve his unexpected guest.
I Love stories about hot fire fighters and Clay was about the hottest one I've read yet! Eve is on run from her psycho ex, and trying to stay under the radar. But a hurricane brings Clay to the rescue and they just can't resist each other. Clay also has secrets, but they are naughtier than Eve's secrets. He's afraid to tell Eve about his love of bondage because of her history of abuse. But she's no shrinking violet even though she does get a wee bit freaked when he gets angry. This was a bit longer than other books that I've read by this author, but it was by no means boring. I've read this series out of order, and it's not a big deal, but might have read better in order. Super sexy read!

Clay and Eve fit. To protect and love is what he did added with a whole lot of four play and HOT sex. With that recipe you get the HEA that will leave your body on fire waiting for the fire chief to put it out.

Clay is a member of the local sex club, and likes to tie people up. I’ll admit, this immediately put me on edge, as I’m not a huge fan of the whole dom-sub romance story line. However! I’m happy to report that this is in no way your typical d/s book. Sure, he’s a dirty talker and slaps her bum a couple times, but he definitely tones down his sexual urges when it comes to his relationship with Eve. Hell, at the end of the book he even gives up his club membership. Such a gentleman! For those of you like me who aren’t huge fans of BDSM, rest assured when I tell you that you can definitely handle this one.

In case I didn’t mention it earlier, in addition to being a member of a sex club, Clay just also happens to be a fireman. Heck yeah! He also rescues Eve in the midst of a hurricane. Double heck yeah! After rescuing her, Eve has no place to go, so she has to wait out the rest of the storm in Clay’s house. Mkay, I’m seriously considering moving to a high flood area for crying out loud!! Let’s face it, worse things could happen than being trapped in a house with a sexy fireman who also happens to be good at tying knots. How will they ever pass the time I wonder?

In addition to all the fabulousness of the setting, as well as Clay’s general fireman presence, we also have a really interesting back story happening here. Eve has wound up in this Louisiana town because she’s running from an abusive ex. There are some moments in the book where she cowers from Clay as she mistakenly expects him to mistreat her just like her ex. I must say these scenes were fascinating to read, as we see the dominant Clay treat her with nothing but care. Ahhhhh, I think I just swooned.

Wow

Such a sexy story! If you have a thing for first responders and love at first sight, you will love this book!. There is a bit of binding in the story but it is written with class and consensual between characters.

This is my favourite book out of the St-Martin series.

Clay is a strong muscled man, who takes his role as fire chief really seriously. He likes to work hard and play hard, and playing hard consists of regular trips to The Hoodoo Pot - an exclusive sex club. He can't have normal relationships as they aren't into his brand of naughty, and every women tries to fix him and find out what's wrong with him and fix his demons.

He meets Eve who does have demons of her own, but is a sweet caring person. He recues her during a storm that hits the area and boy do sparks fly. It's hot, steamy and oh so very good. However not only does he rescue her from the storm but has the potential to rescue her heart as well.

Totally recommend this book who love a bit of naughty spice in their lives.

*I received a free copy through "Goodreads First Reads" in return for my honest review*

To start off, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I would have loved to have more detail to the situation that Eve survived (her last marriage), but this is a comfortable 1-day read. I must say that Gina Watson is great at what she does, and as far as "short reads" go I must say this is one of my favorites! I cannot wait for the other St. Martin Family editions!!

I do recommend this book for anyone who enjoyed: 50 Shades, The Stark series, etc. Though, it is to be noted that this is a stand alone- short story 1-day read. If you want more (like I do) then I suggest the other St. Martin Men!

I just finished reading Sizzle by Gina Watson. It was properly named because it is so HOT!!! Clay is a fireman. He loved his job as much as he love to bind his women. Then he met Eve when he was called to emergency rescue two women during a hurricane. Eve would not leave her neighbor so he left. He couldn't get her off his mind so he goes back and saves her and the neighbor and takes them to a rescue area at the school. When he get really to leave he sees another man hit on her so he decides to take her home. They end up falling for each other but they both have secrets. Question is can they over come their demons and be together?

It has been a while since I had the pleasure of reading about the St. Martin boys. I don't remember being so captivated as I was with Clay and Eve. I really enjoyed this book. Clay is my favorite St Martin.

Gina Watson is the only author that gives a roller coaster of emotions in a short book better then some authors do in long books....

I was so pleasantly surprised by this book. Clay is a fireman and meets Eve walking down the street. He has occasion to meet her again during a hurricane where he rescues her and her elderly neighbor. This book had so much action; hurricanes, fires, an abusive ex-husband and, of course, hot, steamy sex. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait to start the next book.
