“Where pain and pleasure converge … her submission becomes my darkest playground.”

Orion
As the youngest Ravage brother, I’ve spent too much time partying and drinking away my life.
Now that I’m sober, I’ve learned to channel my need for control. And I share my knowledge online, as a masked persona.
The last person I expect to message me is Layla, the daughter of the man my mom married.
She’s always been my greatest temptation, and when she unknowingly confides in my alias, her deepest fantasies become my new obsession.
Behind the mask, I teach her the art of surrender—and she’s eager to learn every lesson.
And when the mask comes off, her resistance only fuels my desire to break and corrupt her.
Completely.

Layla
As a ballet dancer by day, everyone sees me as the epitome of grace and innocence.
But beneath the good-girl facade, I have dark, hidden desires I’ve never told anyone about.
Connecting with a mysterious masked man online seems like the perfect solution.
He dominates me from behind a screen, making me his willing student.
But Orion’s return to my life only complicates matters—and our forbidden chemistry is impossible to ignore.
I’m caught between the stranger’s sadistic magnetism and Orion’s intoxicating charm.
As it turns out … they both revel in sculpting my desires with skilled hands and cruel smiles that promise both heaven and hell.

Masked Sins is a full-length, “his mom married her dad” billionaire romance with intense themes. It is book four in the Ravaged Castle series. All books can be read as standalones.

This book contains a possessive, jealous antihero who’s a sadistic Dominant, explicit sexual situations, and strong language. Despite that, our guy is a bit of a cinnamon roll for Layla. There is no cheating, it is not a love triangle, and there is a HEA.

self note + update: not for me. when i see a book being marketed as a boy obsessed romance, i need the hero to be celibate. beatrice and brittni were kind enough to give me spoilers and the hero hasn't been celibate in the 7 year separation. no OW drama tho. also, it seems like the author has kept things purposefully vague when it comes to safety deets ig.

ETA: somebody gimme safety warnings please and thank you :)

self note: haven't seen any safety reviews for this one so i'll be waiting until i get some deets. apparently this is a step sibling romance with an obsessed hero but there's a 7 year seperation. was the hero celibate during this time? ow drama?

kink exploration for a bookworm ballerina and a masked kinkfluencerthat turns out to be HER STEPBROTHER!! 🩰✨🖤

”I read dark romance because I always fall for the villains. I want someone whose intentions are good, but instead of buying me flowers, he cuts off my ex’s hands”

When Layla DMs a masked kink influencer (I didn’t know these existed) she just wants to safely explore her fascination with the praise/degradation kink. She’s just a dark romance reader! Who could blame her! She didn’t know the kinkfluencer was her stepbrother *clutched pearls* 💣 They actually haven’t spoken in years so this is a big deal! Orion has been in the kink game for awhile but getting a message from the stepsister he already loves 😮‍💨 boy almost passed out!

Layla
🩰 demisexual
🩰 ballerina & dark romance reader

🩰 body positive Queen

Orion
🖤 simping cinnamon roll for fmc
🖤 masked online persona, educates people on the power of kink
🖤 loves to cook for her
🖤 looks like your favorite book villain
🖤 when he says “Good girl. Now open wide”

Orion wants to show Layla a healthy bdsm relationship! Both characters are fully healed from past trauma so the bdsm exploration is more about trust and intimacy building. ADULT COMMUNICATION with lots of research and consent/trust building, which was a perfect build up to their first meeting.

They are definitely a perfect match in the kink-sphere! Although I didn’t feel like Orion was necessarily a sadistic Dom but maybe that was just because he melted for Layla 🌶️ in their first scene he basically says “fuck control. she can have it all.” ✨ and it’s was a perfect representation of his devotion! SURPRISINGLY NOT TOO SPICY! Although the kink game is real the actual spice is pretty low making it a great book for readers getting into dark romance.

SO MUCH REPRESENTATION! Body positive characters, sign language, lgbtq rep and overall acceptance within this bdsm community.

Book 4 in the 'Ravaged Castle' series features youngest brother Orion and his stepsister Layla.

Orion is a sadistic dom who runs an anonymous social media account as a masked dom. Layla, a dark romance book nerd, is looking to learn more about the BDSM lifestyles and contacts 'Starboy', and unbeknownst to her reveals her darkest fantasies to her step-brother.

Orion and Layla have been ignoring each other for years after a falling out that involved him turning up drunk to her prestigious ballet audition when she was 18. And boy is this one a sloooooow burn! I loved the relationship development in this one, and they're easily one of my favourite couples.

Layla is probably the first FMC in this series I have related too, which is why I flew through this book. She was such a strong and vulnerable character, and I absolutely adore her. Orion was a fun MMC, although Liam and Miles remain my favourite.

The sadistic dom is really not my thing, but it's not super heavy in this book which I hugely appreciated. Loved seeing another side to cinnamon roll Orion.

I couldn't quite rate this one five stars because I felt like the booked stopped abruptly, and we didn't see enough of Orion and Layla as a couple. Would love to have seen a stronger epilogue!

Next up is Kai, the priest who definitely has a crush on his best friend, and possibly his best friend's wife! Excited to see how the author handles a throuple!

Tropes Included:
- Stepbrother
- Age Gap (25/32)
- Obsessed MMC
- Masked Man
- Degradation
- Corruption Kink
- Sadistic Dom

Book Ranking :
1. Ward Willing (Liam x Zoe)
2. Marry Lies (Miles x Stella)
3. Masked Sins (Orion x Layla)
4. Prey Tell (Chase x Juliet).

I seriously couldn’t stop SQUEALING and SCREAMING while reading this! Obsessed doesn’t even cover how I feel about Orion and Laylah’s story. Stepsibling romance plus stepbro is a masked man influencer who talks about kinks?! This is definitely my favorite book in the series!

Orion may be dealing with his own demons, but when he falls for Laylah, his stepsister, their relationship and how they see each other change after one hot kiss!

Laylah, the ‘good girl’ ballet dancer by day, dark romance reader by night. However, she craves more and needs more. So she by fate and thanks to the algorithm… She sees the anon masked influencer starboy1997 on her video feed. She bravely into his DMs after seeing him on her video feed talking about 3 rules he gives to his “submissives” at the end of his video a pop up shows that his “DMs are always open”
Starboy gave her a space to share her darkest desires. Which didn’t sound like it’s borderline predatory or creepy, and of course, 100% consent was given and received.

This book is slow-burn, delayed gratification at its finest! Because our boy, Orion, was juggling his identity, Laylah was struggling to give in to Orion or hold on for Starboy. OMG, it's just crazy. Tension builds up until it explodes like my ovaries….and yes, it’s the spice is rated…IMMACULATE.

I liked this, but not as much as Prey Tell. I Am definitely not a sadistic dom girlie like AT ALL! and i think that ruined the experience for me a bit 🤣 but its okay, I knew what I was getting myself into... just was curious! Overall this was another really sweet story from queen amanda 😭 like these Ravage men end up being the greatest sweetest men you could ever want to be in love with you 😩🫶🏼

I adore the entire Ravage Castle series, and this book is no exception. I think this book really speaks to the range of Amanda Richardson. I think we were all expecting for this book to pack the heat, but what I was not expecting was the swoony and emotional sides of the book. I love the Ravage boys! Layla was extremely mature and well written. Orion was everything I'd hoped he would be and a total cinnamon roll. This book was slightly less spicy than the others, but when the spice hit, oh boy did it hit 🥵🔥 Amanda set us right up for Malikai's book and I have a few theories. STOKED for the next installment!

Masked Sins is the fourth book in the Ravaged Castle series and releases on 9/27! While it can be read as a standalone, all the Ravage men are sinfully delicious so I’d personally recommend starting at the beginning of the series for the most enjoyment.

This book centers around Orion who is the youngest of the 5 Ravage boys. He’s a passionate entrepreneur, owning multiple businesses including a new BDSM club, and has a more than mild obsession with his younger stepsister Layla. The two use to be inseparable, but unfortunately for Orion, the last 7 years have left him wanting. In his free time he records videos as a masked thirst trap online 😉

Layla is a smut-loving cat-mom (relatable) 🐱 and professional ballet dancer 🩰 . She is body positive and encourages this in her sessions teaching ballet to young ladies on her days off. She’s on a self-love journey and as a result of her love for dark romance as well as the interests of some of her closest friends, she starts exploring the k!nk community. When she reaches out to a popular masked influencer (enter Orion), her curiosity is piqued and her eyes are opened to a whole new world of possibilities.

Amanda’s writing is captivating and so, so yummy. I ate up every page and couldn’t get enough of the playful yet sultry dynamics between the two MCs. I absolutely adore the Ravage brothers and I can’t wait for Kai’s story next! ♥️ Thank you so much to the author for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

3.75⭐️ I love her writing so much and read this in one sitting!!! This one fell a little short with me as far as Laylas relationship with Starboy. They talked like one time online and she thought they had this undeniable connection….? The tension with her and Orion tho was great and the spice was everything.

Hate-Reading The Kinker Is A Laugh

Wow this heroine reads totally like she's more obsessed with being seen as a sex siren because of her romance novels rather than anyone interested in sex.

She's as boring as a plain cracker.

Where's her season?

Is this how affluent white women talk to each other about sex?

"I read a kink in a romance novel"

Hahahaha

You Unseen, Unloved and utterly Unfucked women make me laugh out loud.

No build up, no lead up, nothing.

We are supposed to believe this women has internalised boring issues but is confident enough to spew her sexual desires at the drop of a hat.

The contrast is completely u realistic.

I love these women.

You are like trash tv to me and my friends.

Like my mates are subs, and they laugh their balls off at the shitty ass in this.

"I tell them how to spot the fake doms."

Hahaha

I love degrading the women with degradation kinks.

Thanks for the permission.

Its really difficult relating to the safely theatrical.

The people who no conflicts in their lives, they need to make them.

Imagine being so shitty at sex, you need a book to tell you what you are into.

Modern Romance and its obsession with tightness and mythical hymens, would more likely give you Inebriated Sexual Desire and Vaginismus.

Women with no conflicts cannot know what they want. They still tell stories of their visual insecurities like starving women, with actual conflicts, should give a fuck.

Well Layla isn't real, shes there for the Unseen, Unloved and utterly Unfucked to roleplay through, if they could communicate more.

Imagine this book had hotness ans steaminess instead of talking you through the most bland, buffered bitches pathetic fantasies.

Green Pilled Patriarchial Parable of Toxicity.

None of this feels respectful.

But I do love reading the affluent go for it.

Gross.

Odd, reading her try to convince us shes into it.

But shes not present in a sensory way.

She's not lost in the moment.

She had to somatic track her pleasure.

How bad at this are Brits?

Shes not lost once.

Snore.

Hard to believe he's into her, doing shit with other people.

But then, again, the affluent think emotion isnt related to sex but every action is fuelled by emotion.

Sigh, I hate when books have to convince me with words because their actions say something else.

She's not real.

She has to gear herself up for this over and over.

She never wants it.

She just wants his validation like a lottle sack of potatoes.

Imagine thinking you have a connection based on someone you do not know.

What a toddler tit.

You don't have to coax yourself to get in your knees when you actually want to.

But this is for the patriarchial women to tell themselves this is our natural place, when homosapiens are matrilineal and matriarchial inside.

I dunno what kind of pathetic communal narcissistic set up you exist in, if you think someone could emotionally exert themselves on amother person, even paddling, after kissing someone they claim to care about.

You really just want to lie down and think of grass don't you?

Pretend his acts are love.

You invisible wallflower.

My favourite thing about these books is how they demonstrate how envious neurotypical girl bosses are of the neurodiverse women who actually get hounded by these men, because they have an actual personality.

Nothing snores more than the snore trained for your sandwiches.

But snap your fingers one more time.

Snore.

Not authentic.

Her Demisexuality is really empty isn't it? Like he doesn't have to emotionally sit with his deceit at all, and shes convinced like snap!

This was waaaay milder and more underwhelming than expected and the only way to explain the pacing of the plot, I can think of, is to compare it to cooking a meal.

So, you prepare all the ingredients, then you start mixing them and do all the cooking (can you tell I hate cooking and know very little about it? Thought so).
Anyway, it’s a pretty boring process. Something’s happening there, but mostly it’s just stirring occasionally and waiting for it all to come together. Then, finally - it’s all done. Just like that. You take it off the stove, plate it, eat it and soon it’s all over.

That’s basically what happened here. Everything was unraveling slowly, very little was actually going on in terms of moving the plot forward.
You could feel the slow build up and finally, almost at the end of the book… it was there. Just like that. No fireworks, no drama, just a casually anticlimactic moment when everything came together, like it was no big deal and you haven’t been waiting a whole book for it.

And then it was a quickly over. A short epilogue explained that some big things happened before and some bigger things will happen later, but the book is over now, ok, bye.

Right, see, I wanted less of watching the dish to cook and more of a nice, long, wine and dine experience. As it is, I’m not hungry anymore, but I can’t say I’m fully satisfied.

Amanda gave us all the goods with this delicious hidden identity romance between step siblings Orion and Layla! Firstly, Layla is a beautiful character who's endured trauma but found ways to take power back and come out a truly beautiful soul. It's no wonder Orion is obsessed with his stepsister. I loved his fiercely protective nature and advocating for safe practices in the bdsm community. This book and series in general really emphasizes this and felt like a lot of research and thought went into this aspect of the series. This chemistry has always been sizzling and I wasn't remotely disappointed when that came to fruition. Even more so I love a hidden identity trope. It's become one of my most sought after tropes. We get that element and it pays off as Layla and Orion work through their feelings while she's unaware of who her masked suitor is. Everything about this book flowed so effortlessly, it felt like a dream to read and enjoy

DNF, I’ve loved other books by this author but I didn’t even make it past 10%. This book was trying SO hard, too hard, to hit on trending topics (ex: female empowerment, gender identity) - but instead of being organically woven into the story it felt really forced.

Masked Sins is a stepbrother, masked man, biker + ballet dance romance and I absolutely loved it!

The way I was melting with every single one of Orion’s words and scenes 😮‍💨 this man… he was obsessed with Layla and his world absolutely revolved around her. Even free being pushed away, everything he did was with her in mind. She was it for him.

I loved Layla’s character! She was a strong fmc with real life problems and faced it all head on. In every aspect of her life, Orion was there as a supporter, friend and whatever else she needed, he’s been there for her through everything and despite not seeing it before, her future was right in front of her this whole time.

Masked Sins is the fourth installment in the 'Ravaged Castle' saga, and boy, do we dive deep into the tangled web of the youngest bro, Orion, and his stepsister, Layla!

Their bond took a nosedive when Orion stumbled into Layla's fancy ballet audition at 18, tipsy as a corked bottle, and it’s been an awkward dance ever since. Layla is craving something real and exhilarating. By a twist of fate, she discovers the mysterious masked influencer, starboy1997. Feeling bold, she slides into his DMs.

Starboy crafts a cozy little nook for Layla to spill her deepest secrets, all while keeping things comfy and consensual — no creepy vibes here! And let me tell you, the slow burn between these two is like watching a pot of water come to a boil! The way their relationship blossoms throughout the tale is just scrumptious!

Things to know
Alcohol abuse, blood, parental death (remembered, on page), sexual assault (remembered, mentions on page, not detailed), disordered eating thoughts (remembered, recovered, but some references to restrictive habits), fatphobic thoughts (not from any main characters), light stalker themes, corruption, degradation kink, orgasm denial, sadism, masochism, erotic hypnosis, impact play, rough sex, consensual non-consent, she has a secret piercing, age gap (32M/25F), BDSM, sadistic dom, step siblings, Demi fmc, he’s jealous, but she’s more jealous

Well, well. Here we are. Another Amanda Richardson book. Y'all might not know this, but she's my favorite. /sarcasm.

Seriously, though. The Ravaged Castle series is my Roman Empire. It's the series I will never get enough of and I love with every single part of my heart.

Masked Sins is the fourth book in the series, and it was no surprise that I loved it. What did surprise me was how EMOTIONAL it made me. I cried near the end, and I didn't expect to. I also related to Layla so much—obviously not because I was a ballet dancer because Grace is NOT my middle name, but because of her struggle with her body image. Orion was so protective and so perfect for her, and the things he did and said?! My lord, I swooned so many times.

There is just some special form of Amanda Richardson crack that is in every single one of her books.

Honestly, each book in this series just keeps getting better and better and better. I loved the fact that Orion healed so much off page, which is not some thing I would typically adore, but seeing the ebbs & flows of his battle not only with his addiction to alcohol, but his obsession with Layla. It ultimately felt incredibly unique.

This isn’t your typical “masked man on the Internet falls in love with one of his followers” kind of story, which has been quite popular recently.

There are so many tropes in this book that connect Layla and Orion’s characters, they’re step siblings, they’re in an online relationship, there’s a minor age gap, & major kink exploration between these two.

The clear, consistent adult communication between these characters was so refreshing. I loved the steady pace of their relationship, which thankfully did not lead to a third act break up (thank god) and by the time I got to the 80% mark, I honestly felt like I could just keep reading about these two forever.

On top of everything, we finally get to see a sneak peek into who Malakai’s love interest(s) will be and I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I just know this next one will be my all time favorite🤭🤭

One day, I’d make her mine. Officially. I just had to get her to like me again first.

Orion is my favorite Ravage brother!

This book had me hooked from the beginning. I stayed up as late as possible and woke early to finish. I have no regrets; it was well worth the loss of sleep, and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

My dear Orion, beyond obsessed with his stepsister, was willing to do anything to make her his, even if he had to pretend to be someone else to get her. Some light stalking, scaring off potential suitors, and supporting her from behind the scenes led to their HEA.

These two idiots in love - evident to everyone but each other - made this an angsty read. It's a bit on the slower-burn side. It's spicy, but it takes some time for Layla and Orion to get together. There's lots of kink exploration and sub-awakening with a growly and dominant MMC (seriously, Orion's dirty talk is OFF THE CHARTS hot).

While this is the fourth book in the Ravaged Castle series, you can read it as a complete standalone. But honestly, why not read them all?

I highly recommend this read.

Loved Orion and Layla! I was looking forward to this book since Ward Willing and I wasn’t disappointed. Stepsiblings will always be one of my
top 3 fave tropes.

I didn’t even know an MMC could be a cinnamon roll Dom but here we are. Amanda’s constantly teaching me new things with each book in this series lol Orion is, simply put, everything. The way he is SO GONE FOR LAYLA 🫠😭 He is charmingly obsessive and protective and possessive and his antics made me chuckle so much. Layla was a great foil for his craziness and she’s on my short list of fmcs that I really enjoy. My fave part was no third act breakup! The way it plays out is perfect and makes sense to the characters and story.

This is a slow a$$ burn - Amanda…why lol - but the pay off is 🤌🏽 the downside to the slow burn is I would’ve loved more scenes between them showcasing Orion’s Dom side because I really loved how he switched from our sweet guy to being in total control.

Yall when I saw the breadcrumbs for Malakai’s book I almost screameddd. I cannot wait! This series has my whole heart. 4.25 ⭐️

What ensues is pure magic and chemistry between these 2 characters!

And an obsessed bad boy who will do anything for this good girl ballerina. I would recommend reading it but also recommend this whole series. It can be read alone but read in order will make more sense.

Layla is a sweetheart who wants to dabble in darker things
Orion is bad boy who has a soft side for anything involving Layla

With every new Ravaged Castle book that comes out I think it is my new favorite, but this one really is!

I loved Orion and how unapologetically obsessed with Layla he is and the things he does to make sure she knows it. He definitely knows the roles he needs to play and seeing it happen throughout the book was so much fun!

My favorite part of the book was watching Layla open up and explore herself! It was so satisfying to see!

Masked man? Need a say more? It’s very much the theme of things at the moment and this was written well. I loved the dynamics between the MC’s and Layla wanting to explore her desires. Think she may speak for a lot of women who maybe keep closed off with what they want and don’t explore. I’ve been waiting for Orion’s book and getting glimpses of him in previous books and I wasn’t disappointed. Loved this and can’t wait for the next one.

Orion is my favorite ravage but there wasn’t much plot

Orion is my favorite ravage but there wasn’t much plot.

There wasn’t much going on for me in this book, I felt like it would be a better novella. But he’s still my favorite ravage.

Amanda Richardson blew Orion and Layla's story out of the ball park.

Orion had an unhealthy obsession with his step-sister Layla. He is in love with her, but he always finds a way to self sabotage himself, and when he unceremoniously ruins her audition, it widens the gap between their relationship.

Years later, Orion and Layla find themselves in different places, having grown in their respective careers.

But unbeknownst to Layla, Orion has always had her back, making sure she has everything she needs, keeping her safe to a degree.

The push and pull, the tension and dynamics were on fire, and I just devoured each and every page right to the very end.

Layla is hiding a deep, dark secret, one she shares with Starboy. She has specific kinks she wants to explore, and he'll help her explore them in a safe environment. As they develop a trusting relationship on mutual respect and understanding, Layla begins to learn more about herself, her wants, and needs.

As Orion/ Starboy becomes entrenched in Layla's life, things begin to unravel. Dealing with the rapid decline of his father, then his eventual passing, but also his meddling brothers who are all very well aware of his feelings for Layla, but also there for him in his time of need.

There are moments that catch Orion off guard, that send his heart into a tailspin, but Orion and Layla are learning to put their differences aside to become something more.

When Layla learns that Orion is Starboy, she does not shy away from who and what he is. She welcomes him and his darkness and revels in his proclivities and the way he makes her feel, and it is unlike anything she has ever experienced before.

Layla becomes Orion's everything. Their love for each other is pure, raw, and unyielding. He worships the very ground she walks on and moves heaven and earth to keep her happy, healthy, and safe.

And when we couldn't fall more in love with Orion, he does the decent thing and asks her father for her hand in marriage, giving his blessing, Orion finally has claimed Layla as his own, binding her to him forever and he couldn't be more happier with the outcome.

And when they finally came together, it was so well worth the wait because those smexy scenes were spicy, steamy and severely, and undeniable hot.

Highly recommended both the author and the book.

Here's to anticipating book 5 - the final book in the series Holy Hearts - Malakai, Julian, and Sophie story.
