I have once again beaten back the darkness threatening to consume the Shadowlayer, but I know it’s only a matter of time before it returns.

And before that happens, I need some answers. Namely from the ancient sorcerer who has apparently been living/hiding in my uncle’s old lodge.

But, as with all Shadowlayer-related things, the answers I seek only bring up more questions, and those questions lead me on another quest.

To the Ancient Forest of the Goblins, who may or may not be very welcoming when they hear the request I make of them.

A wonderful adventure indeed

Edition 5 definitely takes you on a ride. This is such a wonderful, ever changing story and it gets better with the addition of new characters and new, developing storylines.

Good Read

An interesting storyline. Jason continues to grow and gather support to combat against the darkness. His searches carry him to the great forest of the gnomes. There he will learn more about their spirit world and face direct conflict with the darkness. Looking forward to the continuing story of Jason, his supporters, and his mates.

Excitingly fun to read

I've loved the Backyard Dungeon world since the first series, and the UK series just gets better with every book

And the latest book has a few stories to tell of a forgotten past, a family tragedy and the revelation of the Dark Entity's true identity.

You won't be disappointed and I'm looking forward to the next book!

Good ending

Well all ends well or does it. Seems there is an unanswered question! Will there be a new love between the shamans daughter and Jason? Only time will tell!

Another great book in the series

Logan Jacobs' books are a fun time! I got hooked on another series and have to praise his work. I recommend this series and this author.
