In the charming Southern town of Monticello, justice is just a performance—and the real drama unfolds behind the bench.
When three powerful women—a judge, a clerk, and a magistrate—form an unholy alliance to embezzle thousands from the courthouse they run, no one suspects the smiling faces behind the corruption. But as their greed grows bolder and their schemes more brazen, the town busybody with a vendetta starts sniffing around, and secrets that were meant to stay buried begin clawing their way to the surface.
Murder in Monticello is a taut, gripping Southern legal thriller brimming with dark humor, courtroom deception, and small-town politics at their most dangerous. As scandal boils over and the law bends under the weight of ambition and betrayal, one thing is someone won’t make it out alive.
Perfect for fans of John Grisham, Carl Hiaasen, and small-town noir.
Wow great Thriller. This is a great story with lots of suspense and twists that kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. I was not disappointed. Tim did a wonderful job with this story. It's full of surprises. Some people can be downright hateful and eevil. But karma has it's way. Yes indeed. I highly recommend this book
I usually don't take the time to write a review mostly because the reviews are spot on with how I also feel about the book. To be frank, this was awful. I didn't even finish reading the book. It was so unorganized, and the punctuation was horrible. I tried several different times to go back and give it another chance, but it was just the same for me.
