I'm a big fan of Veronica Mixon. Her books are an auto buy for me. Loved Changing Sands. Meeting up with Katelyn, Nathan, Owen, Mom, Joleen is like seeing old friends. Ms. Mixon is an excellent writer who crafts a page-turner that grabs a reader. Katelyn Landers, US Marshal, is balancing a demanding job, parenting a young son, and planning her wedding to her great love, US Marshal Nathan. Her ex-sister-in-law Viv shows up with her three young kids and a tale that her husband has abandoned them and cleaned out their bank accounts. Kate invites them to stay with her. Viv sneaks out in the middle of the night, leaving the kids with Kate. Kate, with US Marshall Joleen's help, begins a frantic search for the kids' parents. Her trail leads her to murders and a deepening mystery with international repercussions. It was hard to put this book down. Even when forced to, I kept thinking about it and couldn't wait to get back. Non-stop excitement, emotions, family love, danger and suspense. Changing Sands has it all. Looking forward to the next book to see the exciting new direction life takes for Kate and Nathan.

An Awesome Thriller packed with action and twists right from the start of that's your thing you will love this

A great start to the day heading to work for a meeting when the sister in law from hell nabs you before you get to your car. She informed Kate her husband has done a runner with all her money and jewellery and she's left wide her 3 kids and needs help and a roof.

Kate is a US Marshall, so it's only natural for her to be approached, but she's now late for a meeting with her boss and wants to leave early. Things only get worse the next morning when she has to ask her boss for some immediate annual leave to deal with the home situation. Nathan Kates Fiancée and also a US Marshall is away on a case so Kates has task and a½ in her hands but her good friend Joleen makes herself available and well its action all the way as I said.

The characters are still great ones from the 1st 2 instalments changing Tides and Changing Winds, plus some new ones good and very not so. The plot is well worked and the twists surprise you when they come. All in all the perfect recipe for a great mystery thriller.

I highly highly recommend this. I loved it and hope You do as well.

Great conclusion to this 3 book series

Kate's sister n law,Vivienne shows up with her three kids stating her husband cleaned out their accounts and took all her jewelry. She needs somewhere safe for her and the kids. Then Vivienne disappears also. Now Kate and Jolene are trying to track down the missing couple and figure out why they are missing. Also having three more kids and her son are raising a lot of questions for Kate. Then in a couple of days, Flynn is hospitalized, the kids parents are found dead, and it looks like they were involved in some big time criminal activity. The big question is. How are Kate and Nathan going to handle all the changes going on in their lives and solve this crime. Loads of twists and turns and unexpected surprises.

I am in awe of Ms. Mixon's writing. When I read her books, it is easy to forget I am reading and just be swept along with the story. Edge of your seat action, mixed with heart wrenching family moments, keep your heart pounding and bring you to tears all within a few pages of each other. Katelyn is a strong woman who is pushed to her limits but always remembers what is important. One of my favorite series Katelyn Landers mysteries are ones I wait for and put on my calendar. Now with four children and a soon-to be new husband, the adventures are sure to tug at my heart strings, I can hardly wait.

Yet again Veronica Mixon has written another grippingly compelling read. So well is it written that I was on the edge of my seat from the opening chapter. I felt the deep anxiety and fear of the main protagonist and I felt true anger at another. Now that is good storytelling! This book will have you thinking well after you finish that in life nothing stays static.

Wonderful author with a natural way of telling a story.

The books that I have read from this author have been wonderful. She makes each one interesting without repeating the same situation in each book. The people in her stories are is to connect with without all of the blood and gore that so many authors feel they need to sell a story. I hope to read many more of her books.

Wow!

Best of the series! Wonderful main characters and the family situation was very well written and plotted! First book was also good, the middle one was not to my liking ----- did not like the concept or development! Have a great reading experience but read in the order written! Enjoy this excellent series!

The best one yet

Number 3 is my favorite so far. After the second one I wasn't sure about continuing this series, but this one was more like the first one.

Sadly, after realizing Kate, Nathan and Joleen are not in the rest of the series, not not sure if I’ll continue.
