I love trying new authors and Alpha’s Temptation is what it’s advertised, it’s a billionaire’s shifter paranormal romance. This book was everything I was looking for, it was easy to read with light angst and heavily dialogue based writing.
Kylie is a hacker, she’s a nerd, a geek, you get it. If you don’t, the word “geek” will be knocked into your brain. There’s nothing wrong with geeks, my husband is one, he’s an accountant with glasses and everything, but here’s the thing, geeks don’t call each other geeks. I know, crazy right? Only non geeks do, but I digress.
The book starts out really cute as Kylie is on her way for an interview, she gets trapped in the dark in an elevator with the CEO of the company, Jackson King.
I really liked the meet cute and instantly Jackson King takes a liking to Kylie, it’s a little insta-love, but you take the book for what it is.
The thing I like about this book is that Kylie doesn’t know who Jackson King is and she doesn’t know he’s a shifter. I like it when the Heroine is trying to discover the truth throughout the book, it makes for a cute read.
Overall, I enjoyed the book very much. There are some awkward writing moments where it feels like the verbiage doesn’t quiet fit the flow of the book, but I take verbiage over descriptive writing any day. If you know anything about my reading style is that I hate overly prosed, dramatic, heavily descriptive writing, so when I find authors that love dialogue based books, I latch on to that.
It’s an easy read with a shifter. Enough said. I’m moving on to book 2.
