Never lie about having a boyfriend, and definitely don’t give them a name.
I honestly thought there was no harm last summer in naming Miles Asher as my boyfriend. I was convinced my friends from that part of my life would never meet him.
I mean, come on, I’m a travel influencer constantly moving from one beach to the next, and Miles is a small-town mechanic. He loves his family and friends, and he’s a nice guy. Or so they say. Miles has never cared for me.
But now I’m staying in his town of Lovers for the summer, and—surprise!—my vacation friends are too.
Luckily, after he tells me no twice, I persuade Miles to be my boyfriend.
Then I talk him into letting me rent the apartment next to his house.
Together, we convince the town that we are dating.
But … one touch leads to another, and then there’s a kiss, and it becomes very hard to resist a man who makes me want things I’ve never wanted before. Who looks at me as if I’m the only thing that matters.
Still, none of that changes the fact that when the summer is over, I’ll leave.
My life and my job are to travel. His isn’t.
Knowing how this ends was supposed to be the easy part.
This book is like the literary equivalent of a rom-com where someone accidentally swaps their designer handbag for a toolbox and then somehow falls in love with the toolbox's owner. Our jet-setting influencer heroine, who apparently operates under the delusion that the internet is a series of geographically isolated bubbles, thought naming a small-town mechanic her fake boyfriend was a foolproof plan. Bless her heart.
Enter Lovers (the town, not the romantic state of our leads… yet). Suddenly, her "never-gonna-meet-him" vacation crew and the unsuspecting Miles are all up in each other's business. What follows is a masterclass in awkward persuasion, questionable living arrangements (next-door neighbors? Really?), and a whole lot of pretending that will inevitably lead to some very real feelings.
The description practically screams "slow burn with a side of 'oh no, what have I done?'" We've got the classic opposites attract, the ticking clock of a summer romance, and the undeniable pull of a good, old-fashioned nice guy who inexplicably makes our travel-obsessed protagonist want to stay put. Picture the culture clashes, the forced small-town charm, and the inevitable moment when someone's perfectly curated Instagram feed collides with a wrench and some serious heart eyes. Prepare for witty banter, a healthy dose of denial, and the delicious anticipation of a well-deserved "oops, I think I'm in love" moment. Consider me officially obsessed!
16th read for March was an ARC of Loving you by ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Thank you Jami & @greyspromo for allowing me to review an advanced copy of this new feel good romance book. I really enjoyed the plot and the banter between our grumpy mechanic and sunshine influencer. To top it off you throw in a puppy, baking and some spicy scenes and it’s a great time!

Book Overview:
I honestly thought there was no harm last summer in naming Miles Asher as my boyfriend. I was convinced my friends from that part of my life would never meet him.
I mean, come on, I’m a travel influencer constantly moving from one beach to the next, and Miles is a small-town mechanic. He loves his family and friends, and he’s a nice guy. Or so they say. Miles has never cared for me.
But now I’m staying in his town of Lovers for the summer, and—surprise!—my vacation friends are too.

Knowing how this ends was supposed to be the easy part.
Last year Quinn lied to her travel friends about having a boyfriend. When put on the spot to give a name she picked Miles - the grumpy mechanic in the small town where she spends every summer. Now it’s summer again and how was she to know that those same travel friends would pop up spend the summer in her small town? Faced with her bad decisions Quinn decides to double down and talk Miles into being her fake boyfriend while she’s in town. How bad can it be for just 8 weeks? What could possibly go wrong?
I loved the chemistry between Quinn and Miles and watching their story unfold. While “fake dating” will always be a trope that can be hard to do convincingly this story felt very real and true to the characters. Their voices felt very believable and their relationship built in a truly natural way. A lovely addition to their series and with more stories to tell I’ll be sure to visit again.
A good old opposites attract with alternating POVs! Miles and Quinn have known each other for years. Miles has always avoided Quinn and wants nothing to do with her “tourist” ways. But what happens when they both need the other to make it through the summer?
This is the second book in this impressive series and this is Miles and Quinn’s story. This is a well written easy to read, slow burn story, with family, friendships, emotions, lies, fake relationship, opposites attract, grumpy / sunshine, humor, witty banter, engaging and realistic characters, and love, which leads to an entertaining, spicy, and unpredictable, small town romance. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
Miles and Quinn 🥹❤️ One of my best reads of the year so far 🥹 Firstly, that dedication!! The two books that made and then cemented my being a Jami Rogers fan. To have the two worlds join 😭🤚❤️ Perfection. Thank you so much, Jami, for this ARC 🥹
Miles Asher! If I was crazy over Hudson Asher, then I'm certifably insane over Miles 🧎♀️🤭 This MAN! Tall, handsome, grumpy, intelligent, obsessed, successful, protective, possessive, dirty - scratch that - filthy mouthed and in love with Quinn since he saw over 10 years ago getting ice cream 🥹 Miles is the owner of Lovers local auto repair shop, and is swimming in paper work since he runs the place alone. When his ex-fling walks back into town after he repeatedly tells her they're over, he makes the right choice 🤭 fake date his nemesis who's there for the summer 🥹 Quinn Banks!
Quinn Banks 🥹 She is the sister of Tobias from Always Been Write and is a successful travel blogger. Beautiful, intelligent, successful, rich, sunshine, feisty, protective, kind, possessive, craving a place to call home, and secretly in love with the grumpy boy she saw on her first trips to Lovers 🥹 While in Greece, with her, quite frankly horrible, travel friends, she makes up a fake boyfriend. When Quinn goes to Lovers, the group suddenly shows up wanting to meet her elusive boyfriend, Miles. With no choice and time, Quinn approaches Miles with a deal 🤭 She'll help him with his shop, keep his ex away, and she gets a place to stay while they fake date.
Their chemistry and angst had me on my 🧎♀️ The banter had me crying with laughter, and their love had me giggling and kicking my feet 🥹 The writing, characters, and storyline were beautiful! If you haven't read Jami yet, you're missing out big time!
Thank you @authorjamirogers and @greyspromo for this beautiful arc! Yet another story I loved this month!
Loving You is a small town, grumpy sunshine, fake relationship romance between Quinn and Miles.
Quinn is the most sunshine FMC I may have ever related to as much as I did. Her insecurities surrounding her relationships really hit home for me, especially when she questions if being in a fake relationship will be as close as she’ll ever get to finding her own real-life love story. But I also loved how she pushes aside her insecurities to take care of those she loves. She always wants the best for them, even if she can’t accept the same standards for herself quite yet.
I also really loved that she wasn’t alone in those struggles. Miles very much shares her struggle of wondering when it’s his turn to have a love story while everyone else around him is already experiencing that with their soulmates. That’s why I completely understand why he tried so hard to deny his feelings for her at first. But I love how at the same time, he also could never deny Quinn anything that would make her happy. Watching him fall head over heels for her was so sweet and swoony, and I think so many readers will fall in love with him too!
Be sure to grab this on KU on release day, March 18th💗
Loving You was an adorable fake dating, feel good, small-town romance between travel influencer Quinn and mechanic Miles.
Quinn had no idea that a little white lie she told over a year ago that she was dating a guy from her grandma's town would come back to bite her in the butt, but when her influencer friends end up visiting Lovers, she has to think and convince Miles to go along with her ruse. Miles gets something out of their fake relationship too — he wants a returnee tourist he'd hooked up with a few times to leave him alone — so they agree to fake date for a few weeks. Of course, feelings get involved, and it's not long before Miles and Quinn agree to end their fake relationship in favor of a real one. But she's still planning to leave at the end of the summer and return to her travels... are they destined to be a right person, wrong time kind of couple?
The banter between these two was so much fun, and I loved how their personalities balanced each other out. It was so easygoing between Quinn and Miles, and the slow burn had me rooting for this couple to work out their differences. And that ending? Perfect!
Loving You is a standalone, but takes place the summer after Hudson and Sadie (Promise Me), so there are references to that story. It was established in Promise Me that the Ashers live in the same world as the Love Or Bust guys — I loved the crossover with Tobias and Natalie from Always Been Write (he's Quinn's brother) and Grandma Betty.
I received an advanced copy and voluntarily left a review.
So many people love small towns. Miles is one of those people. He has always been in Lovers, Wyoming and deals with the seasonal summer rush every year. Unfortunately he earned a level 10 clinger by the name of Cherry. He's told her he's not interested but she's not taking the hint. He can't be rude though because Cherry's father and his friends have kept Miles running at top speed in his mechanic shop.
Quinn is in Lovers where she likes to spend the summer. Her brother Tobias and his wife live there along with their twins. And of course Grandma Betty is still in Lovers and she is actually getting married. Quinn is so excited to see her family. There's a little bit of a catch. When the group she's traveling with starts pressuring her to settle down, she lies and says she's in a fake relationship with Miles. She will never talk to his rude and grumpy attitude any way, so no one will find out.
Guess who shows up in Lovers? The people Quinn lied to! Quinn finds a way to help Miles with his little problem too. They can fake date and chase Cherry away while letting her travel friends see she's happy in a relationship. At the end of the summer she will be going back to travel contracts anyway. She can stay in Miles's apartment and do his office in exchange for helping him at work.
When 2 people hate each other this much, what can go wrong? Everything!
This was a perfect enemies to lovers and grumpy/sunshine romcom. Thank you so much @authorjamirogers and @greyspromo for my copy to read and review. I'm so hooked on this series and can't wait to read Luca's story next.
I loved this small town romance and think it’s my favorite book by Jami Rogers.
Quinn and Miles are perfect for each other even though they have very little in common. The storyline has so much humor and sassy banter, and the physical connection between them is sizzling.
They’ve been aware of each other for many years, but Miles has avoided getting to know Quinn because she’s only there for the summers and he’s unconsciously protecting his heart. I found it hilarious when Quinn was negotiating a fake dating arrangement with Miles while he was hiding in his garage to avoid the tourist who has been obsessed with him for a few summers.
The storyline is entertaining and charming, with fantastic characters that are compelling and fun. The family togetherness is awesome and makes the characters feel real.
I received a free ARC from the author and Grey’s PR; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.
Absolutely in love with Miles and Quinn! A top read of the year!
The first book in this series, Promise Me, was one of my favorites of the year last year and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this story. It was everything I wanted and more! It took over book one as my favorite in the series so far.
Miles and Quinn’s fake dating relationship is one of the best I’ve ever read. Their connection and chemistry was undeniable. I loved their entire journey from childhood acquaintances to an angsty, bantered filled, fake dating relationship to their happily ever after.
I still have a smile on my face from this story. It gave me all the feels, in all the best ways, and had life not gotten in my way, I would have read it in one sitting!
The ending of this story teased where book 3 is going and I can’t wait! Take me back to Lovers, Wyoming ASAP!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
✨Grumpy x Sunshine ✨Smalltown ✨She Works for Him ✨Fake Dating ✨Slow Burn
Book 2 in the Asher Family Series
Smalltown mechanic meets travel blogger. These two are definitely an unexpected match. Miles is trying to hide from a persistent ‘ex’ and Quinn is trying to enjoy a summer off from all her travel. Quinn’s desire to feel needed leads to her bright idea to fake date to help them both keep unwanted exes out of their hair. On top of this, Quinn helps Miles get his business in order, allowing Miles to focus on his passion of restoring and fixing vehicles.
This book was such an enjoyable read! Watching these two fall for each other and help one another start to enjoy life to its fullest again was perfect! It was for sure a slow burn that focused more on them than the spice, which was so refreshing!
I will definitely want to read book 3, as well as go back and read book 1!
This book was so sweet and comforting. The romance was just absolutely perfect, swoon-worthy, and made me just feel so good. It was all of my favorite tropes as well - small town, slow burn, fake dating, opposites attract.
Quinn & Miles were just wonderful right from the start! To see them go from some reluctant fake dating to something more was deliciously written and their chemistry just simmered on the pages, and their banter was next level. The pacing was also just perfect and the quotes in this story? My goodness - I highlighted so many as they were just all so good!
The ending was spot on and left me oh so eager for book 3! This is just absolutely one that you need to read!
Thanks to Grey's Promotions and Jami Rogers for this e-arc in exchange for my honest review!
Fake dating at it's best. Miles has a stalker like red head who visits the town of Loving every summer. Quinn has a travel blog and is visiting for her usual summer stay with her Grandmother, brother, his wife and their newborn twins. With no where to stay she catches wind of an apartment she could rent. She could, if it were not the fact it is owned by Miles, a man where the dislike is mutual. He needs a fake girlfriend to ward off the red head. She needs a fake boy friend to fill in her fib to friends who she travels with. They are all paired up and are trying to match her up with a man she really dislikes. The back and forth banter is funny and the struggles they have to stop them selves from actually becoming a couple is enjoyable.
I received Loving You by Jami Rogers as an ARC read from Grey's Promotions.
Quinn has always loved traveling. It's what she does. It's her identity. But at what cost? A place to call home? A close knit family? A love of her own?
Miles loves and dedicates himself to his work- fixing and restoring cars. But boy, is he ever grumpy! He's always had his eyes on Quinn but never acted on it because why would you if she was just going to leave?
If you're looking for a slow burn, small town romance with some fake dating, grab Loving You! This one will leave you feeling all the feels!
This was a sweet book to read. It’s has all the tropes I love, enemies to lovers, childhood crush, fake dating, small town romance. It definitely has all the angst and denial, but keeps you reading and invested. This was my first time reading Jami Rogers, and I definitely would love to read her next book. This is book 2 in the Asher Family series but can be read as a standalone. The writing is great and the storyline, keeps you reading. I read this in one night and loved the story of Miles and Quinn. I definitely recommend this book! Start reading or add it to your TBR!
The chemistry, the banter, the way it was like woah where did those feelings come from. Oh. My. Gosh. The book was wonderfully written, flowed so well- like you are a fly on the wall watching everything unfold.
The ending! It could not have been more perfect. The book left me smiling and so excited for the next book in the series.
If small-town, fake dating, slow burn, he falls first grumpy/sunshine is your thing this book is for you.
This was the first book I have read by Jami. I will be reading all of her other books this year.
This book was such a FEEL GOOD small town romance!Probably my most favorite ‘fake dating’ trope read to date!! 🥰 👏
Miles the MMC is a grumpy mechanic in the small town of Lovers. Quinn the FMC is a travel influencer who visits Lovers in the summertime. They agree to fake date to help each other out…..But there is drama that keeps popping up which complicates their relationship even more 😂. Then when the lines they’ve drawn begin to blur….the tension and chemistry is goosebumps on the arms, amazing!! These two are so relatable and just so likable. It was a slow burn but they had such a strong connection….when they finally give in to each other, it was 😍👌.
This storyline was entertaining. It was so sweet! It was funny, has a little spice, and I even got emotional (hand squeezes🥹). AND the ending had me smiling ear to ear. Picture 90’s rom com movie smiling so freaking good. 🤭🥰
If you enjoy the below tropes, I’d highly recommend! 😉
❤️ Small Town ❤️ Grumpy vs. Sunshine ❤️ Fake Dating ❤️ He Falls First ❤️ Mechanic vs Travel Influencer

Go or stay…..? This was such a beautiful read. Miles and Quinn are such opposites but spark a wonderful chemistry between them. Their banter is feisty and their hasty fake dating arrangement is a perfect lead-in to a sweet and steamy romance. I adored the family connections, especially between the Asher brother’s and the way the small town of Lovers embraces the ones that are meant to stay. With realistic emotion and an endearing storyline this was a quick and easy read and I can’t wait to find out what is happening with Luca.
Love love love! This is a must read! This book brought me through all the feels in the best way. The spark and sass made the build between Miles and Quinn so likeable and i found myself smiling throughout the book. Made me feel like I connected to them like i was standing next to them watching their everything unfold. Then there was the draw and passion, the lust and longing. Sigh..... omg. Bravo. Just read it and you'll get it!
Thank you Grey’s Promotions and Jami Rogers for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC. I enjoyed every moment of it! I may have had my emotions thrown all over the place towards the end of the book but that’s totally fine with me. I have to throw in that this book included two of my top favorite tropes: Enemies to Lovers and Small Town Romance so it was a win win for me! Overall this was a great read!!
5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Oh my goshhhh!!! This was actually the cutest book ever!! •Fake dating •Slow Burn •GrumpyxSunshine •Small Town Romance Literally all of the best tropes ever. Miles and Quinn are the cutest ever. Quinn post on Social Media for traveling and Miles works at a car repair shop that he owns in a small town called Lovers. Spice: 🔥🔥🔥 I cannot wait to read the third book!!!! Thank you Greys Promotion and Jami Rogers for the ARC!!
This was a really sweet book, I just love a small town romance. The fact that he pretended to not like her even though he remembered every interaction they've ever had, yeah I was eating it up. They were trying so hard to fight their chemistry, but they just couldn't. The break up and the end scene, pure excellence.
3.5✨ I enjoyed this much more than the first book. The pacing seemed a little off. I think the fake dating could have been written a little smoother- the two MC’s should’ve sat down and figured a better way to go about it, I didn’t like how the FMC wasn’t up front about helping him, especially when you knew that they would be seen in public with her “friends” aka the reason why they were dating in the first place

This is book 2 in a series and can be read as a standalone. There are a few parts where I wished I knew more supporting details, but they were necessary to follow the story!
If you're looking for a small town, fake dating, forced proximity, and enimes to lovers, this book is perfect!
Miles and Quinn are great! Miles and his grumpy self is just the best!
A fun and flirty slow burn rom com. Quinn is an influencer and loves to travel. Miles is a blue collar auto shop owner who loves his family and tolerates his small town. Through a series of circumstances they reluctantly agree to fake date for the summer and while slowly getting to know each other, they find more than they ever dared to hope for. I really enjoyed the setting and the pacing in this story. I’m not usually a slow burn fan, but it worked really well and was necessary in this one due to their past and present situations. I know it’s got to be scary to share your feelings but I feel like if you are building a relationship, a good conversation about what you are thinking and feeling is warranted.
I received an ARC copy of this book, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading Miles and Quinn's story.... Quinn has led her friends to believe that she has a boyfriend. She never imagined for one minute that they would ever meet!! Miles needs help with work and getting rid of a girl who won't take no for an answer!! Can this unlikely pair find a way to convince everyone that they are dating?? Great storyline with wonderful characters and loved the HEA. Can't wait to find out what is up with Luca!
I normally am not a fan of the fake dating trope, but this one was totally worth it! It made me giggle and shake my head all in the same chapter! It was cute and a page Turner for me! Can't wait to see the Last brother get his happy ending next!!
Miles is THE perfect grumpy to Quinn's sunshine. He's the small town mechanic who just wants someone to love that also loves his town, while Quinn grew up traveling and now makes a living traveling....all while wishing she felt needed or wanted.
I flew through this book. I'm talking within about 24 hours! I now need to read more by this author.
