This is a great chonk of an anthology packed with horrible beauty and beautiful horror. I especially enjoyed stories by Cynthia Zhang, E. Catherine Tobler, and Shaoni C. White. Kudos to editor dave ring for including so many stories with unsavory main characters. The POV character doesn’t always need to be sympathetic to make a good story. This was a rich, satisfying reading experience.

One of the absolute best of the multi-author Neon Hemlock anthologies. It has my new favourite short story from Hailey Piper. It features an amazing and very diverse group of writers. It's queer, it's horror, it's powerful. Some of the best stories I read last year were from this collection, including from KC Mead-Brewer. Wholeheartedly recommended, AND for the person in your life who wants to start with Neon Hemlock anthologies but isn't sure where to begin, this is an excellent place.

We get an absolutely amazing anthology that doesn't hesitate to get real fucking weird (in the gore and horror sense of the word), and plays around amazingly with both dread and queerness in each of the stories and poems. Honestly, if you see a Neon Hemlock anthology, pick it up, you'll be getting a great bang for your buck.

A perfectly middling anthology from some mostly new writers. Because of the premise of the anthology some of the stories felt kind of “same-y”. That said, there were a few standouts.

This had such a diverse range of horrifying queer tales and I've developed so many fun and exciting new phobias!
