What a perfect book to pick up after Paradise! I loved these descriptions of people and connections, but didn’t find any of the actual ideas or arguments very compelling. Perhaps anthropology is better off without ideas. Now recovered from mourning Paradise, I don’t feel I need this book so much anymore and will probably not finish.
