The art is divine, but the gameplay could have been better.

If the Elden Ring manga was too much of a comedy for you, then Dark Souls: Redemption will scratch the itch instead. With everything from invisible bridges to illusionary walls, vague allusions to wars from years ago, and the creeping feeling of utter despair on every page, this series has managed to capture the Souls vibe without having to adapt any particular story.

It manages to use the same kind of obtuse storytelling that the games use, with a lot of stuff implied rather than outright stated at this point, but the mystery is definitely intriguing, and the cast of characters keeps you guessing as well - Yionas the possessed helmet is a personal favourite.

Este tomo ya tiene un mejor desarrollo y personajes más interesantes, las cosas fluyen más fácil y el arte sigue dando de lo mejor que tiene. Sin embargo, aún se nota como un proyecto con una calidad no tan alta.

El argumento está bien, pero sin ser realmente destacable, y en ocasiones siento que la falta de información que están intentando imitar de los juegos les pasa factura acá, ya que un momento que pudo crear una conclusión bastante potente, se quedó en nada al no saber realmente qué consecuencias tendría. Simplemente fue un: "ah, ¿Y luego?".

Me hace falta todavía una carga potente en las secuencias y el manejo de los cuadros, pueden ser bellos, pero carentes de emoción, aunque en ciertos momentos lo logran un poquito, solo un poquito.

the only downside is this dialogue lacks the true Souls format of English they use, otherwise I'm loving the story, a fresh take on the amnesia type trope
and I love that there's nods to game elements like invisible bridges and messages hehehe

Very cool! I can’t say I understand exactly what’s going on yet honestly but I like Yionas a whole lot. Would be really awesome to see him in a game.
