Alexandra I thought I finally had my life figured out. Fate? Destiny? I know mine. But one afternoon questioned everything I thought I knew. Then it happened. Dr. Jason Dupree crashed into my life. His eyes linger on me longer than they should in polite company. You see, there is nothing polite about him. He’s arrogant and overconfident. His touch? It’s my undoing. I let him know in no uncertain terms that he is not the man for me. He is not my destiny. And his reaction? Totally unexpected.
Jason
The things in my life that matter to me? It’s a shortlist. My career, a handful of family and friends. To call me unlucky in love would be a gross understatement. Hence my list. It’s how I keep it all figured out. Then one morning, that safe little list collides with my future. Her eyes follow me everywhere, and they see through me like a soul x-ray. But it’s her touch that nearly brings me to my knees. She doesn’t see it, though. She’s full of denial and sass, and her stares are indignant. She’s a liar too. Telling me she’s interested in another man. My reaction? Let’s just say she never saw it coming
A Boston native, wife, mother, and wine enthusiast. If she’s not writing, thinking about writing, you will find Evelyn with a book in her hands. While a new publisher, she’s been writing for years, and she will continue to write for many years to come. Evelyn is obsessed with assertive and confident men who will stop at nothing to get their woman. Her stories are filled with love, passion and humor. She currently lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two daughters.
Cherish is the least favorite book in this series. I am not really impress with Jason. He is OTT drama king. Miss Sola puts a good story with the highlight into trust between Jason and Alex. I like Alex. She is kick ass, unapologetic heroine.
The story of Jason and Alex started when Jason fell in love with Alex at the first sight. Literally. I smiled on their meet cute. Because it is very meet cute. As the story progressed, Miss Sola injected too many hot steamy scenes that distract me from the main plot. She did not invest more on more vulnerable connection between Jason and Alex. As the result, I only feel the attraction between the main characters is only based on sex.
When the real climax/ plot is introduced, I feel like, why so much drama over the relation that based on sex?
Not going to rate this because I actually did like it before it MAJORLY pissed me off. I would not have read this if I had known his ex shows up pregnant and it’s actually his baby. It pisses me off that Alex had to just be ok with it and raise the baby. When I read Mellies book, I had no clue that Addison wasn’t Alex’s actual daughter, but I wish I had known because I would NOT have read this. Ugh and I just remembered the remark his ex made about Jason having a type and asked if he likes to stick his face between her boobs too WHICH HE DOES so that pissed me off too

If Jake and Sandy had me at hello, Jason and Alex broke me at goodbye. Cherish proved to be a captivating follow up to an already irresistible series. What I love most about The Clark Family series is that it tackles everything from racist stereotypes to tempting romance and the beauty of what makes a family. At it's heart, LOVE, is the foundation for what unites these characters. No matter the color of their skin or the heartache in their lives, LOVE is what guides them through the rough spots. The carefree bachelor finds his soulmate despite the odds. The proof is in the tears.
Oh wow the drama in this book threw me. Once again Evelyn highlights amazing female characters and I love Alex! Also I love a good psychic visit.
I am so glad JD and Mellie talked about their past and became true family again. Also love how Alex discovers her family. The drama was unexpected but resolved in a great way and really highlighted a lot of things and issues.
I just really love the blending of so many different families and how they all come together to support each other no matter what. Nothing holds them back!!!!!
This is the first book I’ve read by this author, it won’t be the last. I really enjoyed it, the characters are so real, there’s so much going and that’s what makes this book hard to put down.

Wow!!! Evelyn Sola delivers another amazing story with Cherish, I thought I loved Crave (and I definitely did) but Cherish just cranked my love meter up another 10 decibels.
Alexandra and Dr sexy Jason Dupree ... what happens when these two set eyes on each other? Fireworks 💥 she pretends she’s interested in another man and Jason’s reaction? “She’s lying and won’t be able to resist me” he is confident, smart, arrogant and sexy beyond all hell, she ‘Thinks’ she wants stable, comfortable, and basically boring but inside that beautiful body hides a woman begging for thrills, excitement, passion beyond her wildest expectations and a man who is going to be everything she didn’t know she wanted or needed. She’s got sass for days and I loved her personality, she has the perfect blend of sweet and sassy, with a beautiful body and face but her heart is equally as stunning . The ups and downs that this story takes you adds to the excitement of it all, I was eagerly flipping the pages dying to find out what happens next.
The Clark family are always amazing and I loved hearing their story continue through Alex and Jason’s epic love story, all these characters are so lovable it was a joy to get more of them.
Cherish was everything I hoped for and a whole lot more, there was drama, angst , excitement, passion (oh lord!!! Sooooo much passion) friendships, secrets , ex drama !!! This story had it all and I loved every single word.
I cannot wait to see where Evelyn takes us next but I secretly hope we get Mellie’s story. I loved that woman and was so happy Jason got his beloved sister back. I really resonated with her, could see so much of myself in her character and I would love nothing more than to see her get a HEA.
DNF - 46% FMC is flaky, immature, and irrational. I was excited for JDs book. But this is a total miss. And why does the Black man's story have to be so messy. I read spoilers to see if what I thought was about to happen was about to happen and yup. Saw that coming. Surprise baby.
There is NO way this book was written by the same author. I just finished Takedown which heavily featured JD and Alex and I didn't even realize until the end that this was a crossover. I loved Alex's character in Takedown whereas it was her character that made me give up on Cherish.

JD was one of my favorite characters from Crave. Cupid hit JD with arrow as soon as he saw Alex. JD had no choice but to surrender. Miss Alex did not make it easy for him. I was worried for a minute that Natalie would be a big problem for JD and Alex. I do feel for Natalie at the end. I love the secondary storyline involving Alex and her family. This was a great read. Can’t wait for Lucas and Vivi‘s book.
I enjoyed this story although I must say, I wasn't truly convinced at their "head over hills love" I did enjoy this story. I also like the inclusion of the characters from the previous story. Dr. JD was really fun loving and funny, he always had jokes....I also enjoyed that Alex who thought she was alone in the world found her family who embraced her. Really cute story....I'm looking forward to part 3
3.5 Good second book. Didn’t need to have read book 1 to keep up. I wasn’t a fan of the Daddy deal for some reason. I think it’s because I liked her newfound family. I also didn’t like the baby ordeal. I’m selfish like that. Even with two big pieces that I didn’t care for, the book was still well written and entertaining.

Alex has fear of abandonment issues because of her past. It's a little on the extreme side at times, but it only adds to the complexity of her character. It also explains her dating predicament in the beginning of the story.
Jason (aka Dr. Dupree) did not want any part of a serious relationship. He'd been there, done that, got the broken heart to prove it. But the first time he sees Alex his reaction is sweet. However, the first time he actually comes face to face with her is downright hysterical.
"Normally he can charm the skin off a snake."
The relationship between Alex and Jason is quite interesting. For Jason not wanting anything serious, he sure plays a different tune almost immediately when it comes to her. And for Alex being interested in someone else, it doesn't take much to make her change her mind. They are sweet together.
I love how their family and friends all play large rolls in the storyline. In a series like this I always find it a little more addicting if I'm able to get a feel for all the characters and if the end of this book is the start of the next one I cannot wait to read it. Jason's sister and his new tenant...the chemistry already sizzles off the pages.
"Groomzilla was like a needy chick."
Cherish is the second book in the Clark Family series. Jason may not technically be a Clark, but he is best friends to one, and we do get a glimpse at a Clark wedding. It's filled with humor and love. It also has a few twists that I could see coming, but now it was the turns that caught me completely off guard.
I absolutely LOVED Crave (Book 1) but Cherish blew me away! Alex & Jason were complex characters who had issues when they met. She has abandonment issues, while he had his heart broken the past & he's determined to not put himself out there again. That is until he came across Alex, who is putting him through the paces with her walls up & dating woes. They have chemistry in spades, there's a lot of drama, and even sweetness with a side of angst. I do want to talk about the secondaries as they were every bit as amazing as Jason & Alex were. There's so much love & support from all of the families blending together that my heart was filled up. This story was one of those type of journeys that I found myself cheering the two MCs on from the jump no matter how frustrating they could be. So, in order to see how it all pans out, you'll have to hit those one click buttons! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Although Jason may not have met Alex the first time he saw her but he was enchanted. When he has the chance to meet her in person his feelings only intensified but convincing her to give him a chance wasn’t quite so easy.
Alex is attracted to another man so she isn’t interested when Jason decides to pursue her however she her reservations where no match for his determination and it may just be the best decision that she ever made.
Jason and Alex’s journey definitely had its obstacles due to their pasts but there is no doubting that they are meant to be together.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is the first story I have read by Evelyn. I will definitely be going back to read Crave also. This story was very emotional at times. I really loved Alex and Jason. She had extreme fears and he was committed to no relationships but they still are able to make it work out. You could feel the love come off the pages at times. Evelyn wrote a great story with highs, lows and everything in between.

Good romance It's a good romance, tender, hot, sometimes a bit melodramatic, but with endearing characters, especially in the first chapters during which Alex and Jasons try to convince themselves that they don't like each other. Their relationship is tender while not being linear (due to the various tensions coming from their past), with dialogues and situations that are touching through their attempts to reject the other. The rest of the story is a little more predictable when their past comes back, with choices to make to continue or not their relationship which has already had so much trouble getting established. There is still a sad note as to the reasons for the choices of Natalie (Jason’s ex), but also of Doyle, the doctor who seemed to be seduced by Alex then who had dropped her without explanation before she met Jason. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Did not disappoint! I enjoyed every aspect of this read. I wish that we could've received a deeper view of Jason's relationship with his parents. Outside of that I loved the love language that Jason and Alex gave throughout the read. Jason is everything a man should be in a relationship. Then that twist in the middle and end ooooooo.....weeeeee! Jason and Jake reminds me of JD and Turks relationship on the t.v. show Scrubs. Mellie is the ISH! Love her. Can't wait until August 3rd! Book 3!
I thought that the first book in this series was good but this is just spectacular! The writer gets it right from the beginning and takes us on a love fest. The storyline is totally developed and you get a sense of the time taken to make this such a good story. I loved the dynamics of the story and the relationships. This was such good writing. If you are.looking for the meaning of the word "cherish" then I say pick up this book.
I enjoyed reading this book so much! I couldn't put my kindle down! I enjoyed reading about the storyline and how it flowed so seamlessly! I just love the love scenes.
