About the author

Some basic stuff first. I'm from Philadelphia, PA originally ... born there, grew up there, accepted Christ there, educated there, became a CPA there, then moved away and messed up my life a bit. The Lord redeemed me from my own mess, and gave me a passion for teaching the younger generation about the Bible. Now I'm teaching Sunday school.

It is through teaching younger people that gave rise to writing my first book, which wasn't what I'd call a commercial success. But, I'm really glad I did it for no other reason than it provided clarity to a few people about God's redemptive plan and all that it entailed.

I firmly believe that one of the reasons people have difficulty in the faith is that they don't really understand the Bible. That is, most people can't tell you the redemptive story ... the why's and wherefores. They can't connect the dots from the fall of man to the redemption of man through Christ. Granted, there's a lot to learn, but it's such a wonderful thing to learn and with it comes with the blessings of an increased and stronger faith.

Semi-retired, I now spend much of my time studying the Word, preparing my teaching assignments, reading voraciously, trying to stay healthy (UGH!, but I have lost about 15 pounds at present. My target is 20, so Yaaa!), and thinking about writing a second book. I think the life of Ezekiel and Daniel are absolutely fascinating and encouraging. Of course, I'm still waiting for the Eagles to win a Super Bowl ... a constant source of frustration.
