Sometimes, finding your destiny means doing the exact opposite of what The Fates have planned.

Winning the heart of an immortal assassin was a dream come true for Kristia Tostenson. Now she’s knee deep in wedding plans, goddess lessons, and stolen kisses. But her decision to become immortal could end in heartbreak -- not only for Kristia, but for the god who loves her. Because while Ull would do anything to protect his bride, even the God of Winter is powerless against the Norse apocalypse. Ragnarok is coming. And the gods aren’t even close to ready.

Update Review:

I have a not so shocking confession: I am obsessed with S.T. Bende's Elsker Saga. I love it...hardcore! I raved about it. I championed Kristia's WINNING wedding dress. I even used my absolute favorite GIF on Goodreads begging for more.(See Below)

And finally S.T. gave me more Ull and Kristia in the form of Endre (Elsker Saga #2)!

Endre is a fantastic follow up to Elsker that simultaneously left me satisfied and longing for more. Ull and Kristia have gone from the love struck college couple we met in Elsker to a married couple fighting for their lives during the Norse apocalypse. This book had it ALL for me. Love, action, adventure, drama...really my list of nouns could go on for miles. I adored everything about this book.

Ull, *sigh* for someone who gives me zero "dirty", I sure do have the hots for that man...er, Norse god. He is romantic, sweet, and no matter how hard he tries he can't resist his protective "alpha male" tendencies. And Kristia, she never ceases to amaze me. She is fierce and loyal, putting her own safety on the line to protect those she loves, especially Ull. Together, they make up a team that ultimately...wait a minute! I'm not spoiling Endre for you! You are just going to have to read this one for yourself.

As expected S.T. Bende has delivered again. This New Adult book swept me off my feet and into a fantasy land that I never wanted to leave. She flawlessly blended Norse mythology and a heart stopping romance into a book you never knew you wanted to read. Elsker and Endre have definitely made my "Must Read" list and I urge everyone to pick them up. You will not be disappointed. While I am currently still on my happy little Endre high, I know it won't be long before I start begging for more from the Elsker gang. *Cough*Gunnar*cough, cough* I am giving Endre, 5 HUGE glasses of wine!

Dearest S.T.,

I am going to need this book like ASAP!

---- Sanne / Scandalous Book Blog ----

My my my, do I love this series! S.t. Bende has hit another homerun with Endre.

It is just one of those series that you know will capture your heart and will stay with you forever. And believe me when I say that it is rare for me these days to finds books that I actually want to finish and look forward for the next ones - So that says a lot about this series for me that is.

In this book you are cordially invited to attend the wedding of the millenium. A wedding between the Norwegian God of Winter Ull and his soon to be bride/Godess Kristia. This event will actually take place at the end of the book, there are quite some things happening that will lead us to that event.

One particular scene I absolutely adored and thought was soooo funny was actually one between Kristia and Gunnar. All I can say about that is that it involves both of them and a police patrol stopping them on the way to a really special event ;-)

Another one was during Ull and Kristia's wedding night. I never in a million years thought that she was going to be the one to "..." fill in the blanks. ;-)

Oh my gosh! I feel giddy all over again whilst writing my review - I just love these books so much!

And I am hoping will give me a birthday present by publishing Tro on my birthday in August. Yes, people I know it is going to be a long wait but it'll all be worth it!

In the meanwhile you can give a shot at making Olaugh's famous waffles! :-D

A word from Ull: Jeg elsker deg alle damer! ;-)

it goes a little something like this:

Kristia: "ohhh he's so dreamy, but such a gentleman. ohh I have all these visions. So crazy but anything terrible that happens in my life is worth it for Ull, a million times over."

Ull: "I will protect you with everything I have, love of my life."

The end.

Endre: Everyone’s Favorite Norse God is Back. And This Time, It’s Matrimonial

If you read and loved ST Bende’s Elsker, you’ll know that it’s an exciting romance about a Norse god, Ull, who falls in love with a mortal named Kristia, and their love is as sweet as a Norse waffle. And they would get the happily-ever-after that they deserve, if it weren’t for a little thing called Ragnarok, or the End of the World as We Know It. (And Kristia does not feel fine).

I have sworn to give away no spoilers here about weddings, processes by which mortal women become immortal goddesses, fire giants, or evil elf men, so I will stick to the romance stuff and my three favorite things about the book:

Fave thing #1: Elsker fans know that Ull is as romantic as they come and he does not disappoint his readers (or Kristia) in this one. And Endre moves beyond the point at which most romances stop: the promise of eternal love and marriage and the happily ever after. Aside from that whole Ragnarok thing, Bende’s second Norse god romance focuses on what happens to a loving couple after they’ve found each other. How do you deal with your partner’s job (especially if he is an assassin from Asgard)? How do you deal with his or her past (especially if it involves a hot chick with, um, physical enhancements who just won’t go away)? How do you deal with his family and friends (especially if they are capable of smiting you with a magic hammer or transporting you to ten different realms with a nod)? How do you deal with the inevitable changes in your status as you move from singleton to spouse (and mortal to goddess?) Plus, it’s hard enough entering into a partner’s history and culture, but what if that history is centuries old and the stuff of legend? Bende deals with all of these concerns with grace, humor, and powerful imagination.

Fave thing #2: Like any new bride, Kristia has her work cut out for her, and another aspect of this book that delights me is how much sassier Krista is in this sequel. We all knew she was strong and spunky enough to match Ull before, even if she was not “the most graceful snowflake in the blizzard.” But now she’s got some mad fighting skills and the audacity to throw some shade at Loki, which I won’t quote because you’ll want to read it yourself. Kristia has a new attitude to match her new life and skills, and she discovers a whole new way to go snorkeling, among other things. It’s good to be a god.

Fave thing #3: Kristia is not just blessed to be loved by a Norse god – she also has a pretty wonderful set of friends (and fully fleshed characters) both mortal and immortal. Among the immortals, Inga, Elsker, and Olaug return for the wedding and the battle and we learn about a pretty racy hobby Inga shares with Kristia. Among mortals, her bestie from home, Ardis, arrives and fits in perfectly with Kristia’s Welsh university roommates who exercise their fashion sense and penchant for products “not available in stores.” These characters provide much of the humor and the heart of the novel, making richer than a simple love story, though the love between Kristia and Ull is pretty darn epic.

Why are you still reading this? You need to get this book now. You won’t be disappointed. It’s okay. I’ll wait right here ‘til you get back.

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my hones review.

After reading Elsker, I was super excited to read Endre. Wedding plans? Goddess lessons? Ragnarok? I wanted this book like yesterday!

Kristia and Ull are great as ever. Seriously, this couple is so sweet, they will give you a toothache (in a good way of course). I like how strong Kristia is. She had too deal with so much in such a short amount of time (graduation, wedding, changing into a goddess, learning to use her visions and Ragnarok); I know I would've gone nuts if I had to deal with all that. Ull is as sweet as ever! I love him and his awesome sweaters. He was a little over protective at times, but it was understandable.
I just wish certain scenes weren't as rushed. All of these big events were crammed into one book I wish we had more pages to enjoy each event more. Also, the blurb talks about Kristia being "knee deep in wedding plans," but I didn't really see that; she didn't really have any part in the wedding planning. Also, the goddess lessons lasted for like 3 pages; I wish I was able to read more about that.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. I am just wondering what will book three be about ( I have an idea, but I'm not sure). I highly recommend you read this series; you won't regret it.

List Of No-Access People... huh.. Great!! @Mr.Ull Myrh
It's Nice To Have Someone To Protect Kristia. But OverProtective?
It's Too Much!!! Overwhelming.....

Kristia was worry about Ull's Overprotective Reactions. But She Knew Ull's ove for her was Pure & Forever!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kristia Got to learn about the Asgard, Gods, Cruel Creatures & Some important informations about her vision in this book. Also she learnt about the 10 Realms,
#.Asgard
#.Vanaheim
#.Alfheim
#.Svartalfheim
#.Jotunheim
#.Nidavellir
#.Niflheim
#.Muspelheim
#.Midgard
#.Alternative Realm.
And she Faced Some Pretty Terrible Troubles in her Visions & able to manage Successful Escapes From Those Troubles. She was Give up her Mortality & be a Immortal Goddess. She Sacrafice Lot of Things For Ull's Love & to be with him. Finally They got Married. That was Sweetest Thing Of The story.
Great Novel as same as the Elsker. Enjoyed lot. Impatiently waiting to read Tro to know What happen to next to Both of Them, Kristia & Ull and Their Family.

Would They able to Change Their Fate?
Would They Save The Asgard & The Earth From Ragnarok?

I'm So Excited To Discover It.

Really not as good as the first, I got stuck for a while about a third of the way through because I thought the main Character was turning into a Mary-sue. Trust me that’s the worst offense you can commit in my book. It’s still a cute little romance but there was next to no tension, or conflict... kinda reminds me of a filler episode neither here nor there. Sorry.

They really could have played up the conflict with the main man (wanna be) ex-girlfriend. I would have enjoyed the main character and ripping that one a new hole. But it was just like... the author wanted to give us fluff and very little substance.

Well if I thought I was already completely in love with this series, I was wrong! Endre has cemented these characters into my heart forever. Every aspect of this story played out perfectly, I never wanted it to end.

Kristia and Ull have come so far since they first met. Now together and planning their wedding they are in the midst of the happiest time of their life, yet the real, and imminent threat of Ragnarok is looming over their heads. Kristia is not only planning a wedding (or rather reining Inga in) she is knee deep in Goddess lessons, quickly realising she isn't fully informed of what will happen. So many obstacles they need to overcome, which will only lead to the ultimate battle of their lives.

"Fine. Even if I'm ok at being a goddess, which is a huge if, what if I'm not any good at being a wife? I'm a decent cook, my grandmother made sure of that, but I can't iron at all. Never learned how." [...]
"My love, do you really think I would leave you because you cannot iron? While it is a terrible travesty," he eyed me gravely and I swatted him, '"you must realise I have been living on my own for a very long time. I can iron my own shirts."
"Oh" I forgot about that.

Kristia continues to be her sassy self, she handles everything thrown her way with grace and a strength beyond her mortal capacity. I loved that Kristia was so resilient, she was prepared to take on anything in her path (and let me tell you, so many things are thrown her way) all because she knew without a doubt, being will Ull was all worth it. Ull? Wowzers! Hold onto your hats ladies and be prepared for the God of Winter to sizzle your panties off. Ull is not your typical "Alpha Male' quite the opposite really. The epitome of a gentleman he opens doors and calls you 'darling', but don't be fooled. Ull is fiercely protective (and perhaps a little over bearing) He will do ANYTHING in his power to protect Kristia, not wanting to let her out of his sight, controlling many aspects of their lives. Some might see this as too much, but I could completely understand where he was coming from. He waited centuries to find the love of his life, and his world isn't well suited to mortals, so he does all he can to keep her safe. Kristia not only surprises Ull with the strength she displays, but herself also.

"I cannot believe you get to marry that. That," Ardis continued with authority, "is without a doubt the most beautiful man I have EVER seen. Ever." She emphasised.

The love that binds these two together leaps off the pages. Its intense and sweet and all good things an epic love is made of. There are so many other storylines going on, the one thing that is central though is their relationship. I loved the stolen moments, the tender embraces, whispered sweet nothings and the kisses that go from 0-60 in a nanosecond. Yes, this book is still quite 'clean' for a New Adult novel, but I wasn't disappointed, I still got what I wanted (that makes me sound like a pervert doesn't it?) The parts that we do 'see' still brings the 'heat'
factor up.

Endre is the second book of The Elsker Saga. Elsker is the first book. There is also a prequel novella, Tur. This saga involves Norse mythology, taking place in both the world of the Norse gods as well as on Earth. Endre picks up right where Elsker left off, with Kristia knee deep in wedding plans (though she delegates well) and preparing to be a goddess herself. And that's just a part of what she's dealing with.

I have really enjoyed reading this series so far. I love the way Bende has combined the world of the Norse gods with the human world. Kristia's life has been turned upside-down, and watching her story unfold alongside Ull's is a pleasure to read. Their love story is not simple, and is only a small piece of what they are dealing with. They have many things up against them, and one particularly annoying elf trying to trip up Kristia, as well as the seemingly unavoidable Ragnarok, all vying for their attention when they really just want to be a couple in love.

Kristia and Ull continue to be wonderful characters. I love seeing their relationship continue to develop, and their romance deepen. They are just such a sweet couple! They put a big smile on my face. I also loved the way the personalities of the gods were developed, making them god-like and larger than life, but with hints of humanity and approachability. They felt real and I really liked that. Really great character casting, making me want to get to know each and every one of them (well, except for that elf guy). Kristia's roommates and best friend also added just the right touches to the story.

Oh, and the wedding! (And the wedding prepwork!) I loved it!! It was perfect. But on a side note, I'll confess I was a little frustrated with the ending. I wanted more! I had a feeling that was how it would end, but it didn't make me any happier to be right. No, it's not a cliffhanger. Not really. Maybe I'm just being greedy. I'm now just left with the anticipation of things to come for my beloved Ull and Kristia. But what did happen with Ull and Kristia - so sweet and lovely and beautiful and romantic.

If you like a sweet, clean romance, combined with hot Norse gods and goddesses and an evil elf and dark forces trying to bring it all to an end, I recommend The Elsker Saga.

***ARC provided for honest review*** - originally posted at Reading Rainblog

I loved Ull in Elsker, but I absolutely adored him in Endre! Endre starts out with one of Kristia’s dreams/visions where she has to deal with the dreaded “Elfie” who started trying to make her life miserable in Elsker, and has definitely not eased off now. Kristia is busy planning a wedding – with Inga’s help (and you can check her out on Pinterest), getting ready to graduate, and preparing to leave Mortal life behind in order to become Goddess of Winter. That’s not a small “to do” list!

Endre includes hilarious moments between Kristia, Sif & Thor – who can blame her for being intimidated? It’s the Goddess of Beauty and THOR!, both sets of parents together (who knew Thor was so knowledgable about the Ducks and Hockey?), and these nightmares she keeps having featuring the elf-man. There is plenty of action throughout the book, and loads of romance too. I loved reading about Ull on the honeymoon. However, I did want to kiss him better at one point – see the excerpt below! (sorry Ull – you know it’s true!).

There’s not a whole lot more I can say without fear of compromising the events happening in the book. Suffice it to say, Endre was the perfect follow-up to Elsker, and it left me wanting to read more about what Kristia & Ull’s life would be like post-Ragnarok! ST once again did an outstanding job at blending myth and reality and making the Norse Mythology characters her own. She is awesome at building the world around the characters, and making me feel like I really know them. When reading these books, I felt so invested in Kristia, Ull, Gunnar (bats eyelashes), and Inga – along with the rest of the characters. And, even though it’s technically classed as “New Adult”, it’s a great book for a younger reader too. There is a little bit of a sexual tone to some scenes, but nothing overly (no erotica here!) sexual or explicit.

I give the book 5 stars!

**The following review is for the original version of this book. Hopefully I'll have my review for the UPDATED version very soon!!**

I've been obsessed with all things Elsker (Who am I kidding? Ull, I've been obsessed with Ull) for a while now, so I was SO excited to finally get this Endre ARC into my grubby little Norse loving hands. I was definitely not disappointed with Elsker's sequel-- I only wish it could have been a bit longer! As with the first book in this series, I was so wrapped up in Ull's and Kristia's world, that I finished this book in the blink of an eye.

As much as I loved Endre, I'm going to have to give it 4 stars instead of 5 because I was left wanting a bit... more. Although we got a lot of action and romance in this book, I would have liked to see more of what was mentioned in the synopsis. Was Kristia "knee deep in wedding plans?" I'm sure she was, but we didn't get to experience too much of that. As for "goddess lessons," those seemed brief as well. Now, as far as "stolen kisses," they were in abundance and Ull's sweet side never disappoints! Both the main and supporting characters were as lovable as ever and Kristia really proved how tough she can be when fighting for those she loves.

Overall, I really enjoyed Endre and found it very difficult to put down. And, while there is no cliff-hanger, we are given a glimpse into some pretty exciting things to come in the lives of these characters. If you're looking for a different take on New Adult that has plenty of swoon-worthy moments, some nail-biting action, and a mythological world you can lose yourself in, this book is for you.

So I was very kindly sent an advance copy by Ull and I was so excited to find out how his and Kristia's wedding plans where progressing plus I was crossing my fingers for Tom Hiddleston's Loki to show up (he never does....). It kicks right off with Kristia dreaming of an evil elf who seems to know far too much about what she has planned and is down right threatening.

Ull of course is naturally worried for her but Kristia not only has this elf to worry about she is about to get married to the God of Winter, her life is going to change for the better but at what cost, she will become immortal and she will become the Goddess of Winter, how will Kristia cope with all of this?

As well as Ull she has a ready made support network of Ull's nearest and dearest including fellow bad ass Gunnar, his lovely other half bad driver Inga and off course Olaug who is the wonderful grandmother figure. They all want to protect Kristia and are thrilled that Ull has found his true love.

Endre is once more a brilliant look at Kristia and her immersion in to the world of Asgard, never one for spoilers this book takes you all the way up to their wedding day and the obstacles that get in the way, some funny (Gunnar and his bad driving) and some scary (evil elfie!), ST Bende has produced a fantastic series that really delights the reader with its fantastic characters and great plot.

My only problem? Waiting on the next book in the series!

Endre is awarded 5 out of 5

My Review: SPOILER WARNING I LOVE this series! I adore the characters and all their quirks. I also enjoy the modernization of the gods and goddesses and the myths, it is a wonderful combination of traditional and new. And now I am going to do what I never do and talk a bit about something that might spoil things for other readers, so stop reading now if you don't want to know what happens . . . still here? Okay let me just rave about the wedding and wedding dress!! I know everyone raved about the whole Edward and Bella wedding but this one by far takes the cake, speaking of them there are a lot of similarities with that series and this one, but again this one is so much better. One difference I can pin point is Kristia has a personality, hurray for that! Also Norse Myths are so much better than vampires. So anyway enough of my rambling and raving, I am off to finish the series!

It has only begun!

After all they have been through Kristia is finally able to plan her dream wedding to Ull. Between that and Goddess training she has a lot of things on her plate. Things aren't all sunshine and roses between the two, however, with the upcoming apocalypse threatening to tear there new found happiness apart forever. The second installment is jammed packed with action and suspense leaving me turning each page in anticipation of what was to come next. Not to mention the amount of steamy moments between Kristia and Ull. They were definitely my favorite parts of the book.

Kristia is as strong as ever and dealing with each new challenge as it comes. I really admired her spirit and determination to become a Goddess that Ull would be proud of. She still needs a lot of training, but thankfully Ull is more than happy to help her with that, which gave us a few very MEMORABLE moments between the two.

Ull is so sweet and understanding. Kristia is one lucky girl to have found him even though they still have many trials ahead of them. I loved seeing these two together and you can really feel the chemistry between them.

For more action packed adventure and steamy romance check out the second installment of the Elsker Saga "Endre"!

After reading the first book in this series, I was hooked. Endre was a lovely story about Kristia coming into her own. She really does grow up in this book. I totally enjoyed the fact that this story has ties to Norse mythology.

What is the best part is that both of the main characters, Kristia and Ull, are so honest and strong. It is great that Ull is so protective of her and he continues to try to protect her even though she calls him out on it. He does try his best to honor her wishes that shows how much he cares.

Even though this is a fictional story and not a true representation of the Norse myths, I think what Ms. Bende has done with the storyline is just awesome. She plays with those myths in a way that makes you think the characters are really like that in the myth. I am looking forward to next book.

This book begins right where the last one left off - I am so happy that I can continue on!

Again, I love the Norse mythology in here and the fact that the relationship (while it's a major part of the book obvs), isn't the only focus. I love the plot and I was captivated.

I was really keen to see how her wedding plans pan out and this definitely had be hooked. Kristina has also built a support network around her and it's great to see her finding her feet in the realm of the gods. The gods are easy to love too and have some fantastic human traits.

For me, this book was more about Kristina finding her footing in the world of the Gods and really realizing her place in Ull's world. Oh man, I am so jealous, they're perfect for each other.

Two days after finishing the first one, I'm done with the second!!

Another absolutely fantastic book. In this one, I continued to be thrilled with the relationship between Kristia and her girls, particularly the developing friendship with Inga. The wedding prep scenes were especially wonderful. I also loved the scenes between Kristia and Olaug/Elsker/Sif.

Ull continues to be the pinnacle of perfection, and I loved his extra-protective nature. The honeymoon and Loki scenes were my favourites. :)

The only criticism I would have is that it just wasn't long enough!! I could have easily read twice as much of it. Please tell me there's going to be more!!! ;)

You often read a second book and walk away disappointed, that is NOT the case here. The second book is as good as the first if not better.
Ull is an unbelievable man, I mean god. The God of Winter is romantic, sexy, sweet and protective. Kristia is sweet, brave and as protecitve
of Ull and Asgard as they are of her. Surprises in the first book are expanded upon in the second. It is so hard for me not to give away some of this story, but i really think you should read it for your self. You too will want Ull for your forever book boyfriend and will fall in love with all the Norse Gods, even Odin. This series has captured my imagination and my heart. Give it a read, you will love it too.

This book blew me away! The characters came to life even more for me as their personalities grew throughout the book. I haven't laughed so hard in a book in a long time and once you read it, you will know which part I am refering too! The whole gang is positively amazing and I hope to see this series conintue on for many more books. The wedding was beautifully written and I am so happy that nothing ruined their special day! Make sure you read for the first two books Tur and Elsker before reading this one as it picks up fight where Elsker left off. S.T. and her amazing writing will knock your socks off!

Well, as in book 1 of The Elsker Saga, book 2 is just as exciting. If you can imagine marriage to a Norse God, then you will have an idea
what's happening in this second book. Besides the obvious love affair between Ull and Kristia, there is plenty of drama and scary situations as well.

This book is a page turner and keeps the storyline going throughout. It definitely deserves the 5 star rating I gave it. Looking forward to the next in the series.

As always...Ull had me at "Hei Hei"

I absolutely LOVE Ull and Kristia together. They are the sweetest couple and certainly meet the MFEO (Made for each other) designation!

I will post my 5-breathes review on July 16th here, Amazon, and at http://www.breathlessink.com

I enjoyed the first book in this series a lot. This was a nice addition to the series, although it felt a bit like a novella and really could just have been added to the last book. But I like the characters, and the back story a lot.
If you like vikings, gods, romance and the end of the world all tied into one, your going to love this series.

First book was the initial romance, second book is the wedding prep and wedding.

The things you do for love - like nearly die and become immortal. Keeps the promise of the first book - women remain as strong as Norse women should be, and those who would be friends with them. Worth buying the boxed set after being sucked in by the first story.
