Everyone says to dream big . . . but how do you turn those big dreams into reality?

From the time she was a little girl, Clara’s dream has been to write romance movie scripts for her favorite television channel. But not just any love stories—Christmas romance is her particular obsession. Unfortunately, that dream has taken a back seat to the demands of her real job as a copywriter and manager.

Clara’s big break comes when her late aunt leaves her an inheritance with one stipulation she must spend the money on something to help her achieve her writing dream. And Clara knows just what to do with it. She purchases a small cabin in the woods to serve as a writing retreat. With the perfect cozy atmosphere, Clara is finally ready to prioritize her lifelong goal.

However, she’s sidetracked when an unfortunate mishap lands her face-to-face with Clark, the town handyman. After an initial spark of attraction, Clara soon discovers that Clark is decidedly not a Christmas enthusiast. She quickly gets distracted by the broody man she can’t forget and the small town that embraces her as one of its own.

Will Clara get so sidetracked helping Clark and the town that her dream slowly dies? Or will they be just the inspiration she needs to make all her dreams come true?

Calling all Hallmark Christmas movie lovers! Saved by Noel is the perfect book for anyone who loves cozy Christmas romances. You’ll find all the heart-melting, feet-kicking swoon with zero explicit content in this closed-door, kisses only sweet romance.

Content Considerations (all take place in the past, not on page): Mentions of secondary infertility; family members killed in car accident; toxic parent relationship.

A Hallmark movie masquerading as a book? Yes please! This was such a fun time! It's perfect and cheesey and punny and sweet, I can't get enough! I loved the banter between Clark and Clara and watching them interact! I have so much that I want to say about this story, but I don't want to spoil anything! Just know that you'll laugh, you might cry, and you'll want to read it again and again as your new Christmas comfort read!

This is a Hallmark movie in book form! It’s adorable and fun, with a small-town atmosphere! Clara and Clark are a grumpy/sunshine duo that you grow to love. Tracy incorporates a balance of emotional depth, relatable characters, and funny moments; there are some great one-liners! This is a slow burn with a few twists that I didn’t see coming… but you will have to read the book to find out! ✨

Thank you so much, Tracy, for sending me an advanced copy of your book. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

I absolutely loved this story by Tracy. She was a new to me author and I am SO glad I was given a chance to read this book. She will be my go to author from now on. So much is packed into this story. Personal goals and growth, unpacking past hurts, reluctance to fall in love, fear over failure and being not enough. It's a romance, but so much more!

Clara has been given an opportunity to live out a dream to invest in an writing cabin... to hopefully help her write a movie script she's always dreamed of. She is a total Christmas lover and romcom watcher. So her new home away from home has to be a charming place called Noel?! Except, the place doesn't recognize Christmas, the mayor, won't throw a Christmas festival. And a lot of the residents are moving away. She's in it for the long haul. So all she has to do is convince the mayor/town handyman to help her bring business into the town through a festival. Clark is a wonderful man, pouring out all he has to try to have his town successful but he draws the line on the Christmas idea. He isn't having it. Even if he is finding Clara very, very hard to refuse in that topic and others. But the more time they spend together the more she breaks down his defenses. Which isn't what he wants.... so the closer she gets, the more he backs off. Causing tension to constantly arise between them. They both just need to work together towards their goals... he needs to save the town, she needs to write her dream movie script. And try hard not to fall in love in the process... something neither of them was planning on.

Some of my fav quotes:

"I can admit it: my heart is drawn to that gruff, tattooed, towering force of a man like a kid to the candy aisle." ❤️

"What if I admit I want Clara-that I need Clara-and it doesn't work out? And we both wind up devastated?
... "Such are the gambles of life. But I say it's worth the risk. Because a life loving a good woman is the biggest jackpot the world has to offer."

"Botany Plants Lately? I'm a sucker for bad puns and, apparently for this stunning woman."

Sooooo many good ones, but no spoilers, READ THIS BOOK!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. A positive review was not required. This review reflects my own opinion.

Absolutely in love with this story. And I thought Mateo was an amazing boyfriend, Clark was beyond that. I absolutely loved this story beyond what I thought. This grumpy man stole my heart, and well, all the characters did too. Clara was amazing. I absolutely want her to be my bestie. Won't say much more so I don't give you guys spoilers, but Tracy's book will forever be my favorites.

This is the first book I’ve read of Tracy’s but it won’t be the last.
I was expecting this cheesy Christmas tale. But it wasn’t that at all. The pacing of it was so perfect, the characters were well rounded and I just loved this book.

Highly recommend this as a Christmas read

ARC REVIEW | Saved By Noel

I absolutely lost my mind when I got the email that I was getting an ARC of Saved by Noel. When I read the synopsis I knew immediately I had to read this book—this book was everything I could’ve hoped for and more!!!

If you like love the holidays, small town stories, or stories about following your dreams—this book has all of those! Bonus points for the sweetest dog, Chase, being such a cute reoccurring character in this book.

This book reminds me of one of my favorite things to do every year when Winter comes around: watching Hallmark movies with my mom. I love celebrating the holidays watching admittedly cheesy romance stories with her and this book made me feel that same energy.

Thank you so much, Tracy, for letting me enjoy Clara and Clark’s story before it’s been fully released to the world.

Happy (early) holidays everyone ♥️

Without spoiling this, here’s what you need to know;
Small town, grumpy/sunshine, hallmark movie, cute dog, slowwww burn. Did I convince you yet?! I felt ALL the emotions while reading this book. Happiness, sadness, excitement, frustration (in a good way!), you name it. I loved that the timeline during Saved By Noel was very realistic, the story didn’t feel rushed, and we got to see all the longing and little moments of Clark and Clara falling in love! I also think that while this is very much a Christmas themed book, it can be easily read and loved year round as well!

I loved the Christmas vibes throughout this whole book! Clark and Clara were both wonderful characters, and I appreciated that they weren't perfect people- they learned how they needed to grow and they worked on it. As a KC local, I enjoyed the references to places that I've been, and I loved the movie references that I picked up on instantly from my childhood!

I never read Christmas books or listen to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving. BUT I could not put this book down! There is so much I want to say about it, but I don't want to give anything away- so the best gift I can give you this year is the surprise and joy that this book will bring when you read it for yourself!

Thank you, Tracy, for this wonderful book and for the opportunity to review it! It's a solid 5⭐️ for me!

🎄Coming soon, November 1!🎄

Christmas comes early this year thanks to Tracy Baack and Saved by Noel. 🎄 Clara and Clark are a joy to read. I love a small town romance and this one is giving Grinch v. Cindy Loo Who with a twist. This is a closed door romance but just because the door is closed doesn’t mean I missed out on the sweet and swoony mistletoe moments between these two.

If you love a made for TV Christmas romance movie, you’ll get all the same silver bells from Saved by Noel. 🔔

Thank you for this lovely gift, Tracy Baack, of an ARC copy of your book!

Tracy totally captured my heart again! I immediately fell in love with every detail of this book. I love how it was magical, but realistic. Clara’s people pleasing personality and desire to help others was something I related to deeply. But I also found I could relate to Clark and his grumpy side. I love when a story is able to push both characters to grow individually, but also makes them see they are truly better together, and that’s exactly what happened with Clark and Clara. Isn’t that the goal of every happy relationship?

And I can’t forget the amazing side characters! I loved all the people in the town and the encouraging, supportive environment. Tracy does such a good job developing lovable side characters that chime in at the perfect time. I love how her books model how a community works together, encouraging one another when needed, all with the goal of making everyone a better version of themselves.

Saved by Noel gave off the perfect Hallmark movie vibes, but so much better! Cheesy at times? Obviously! But the depth of the characters and the town as a whole was above and beyond any Christmas movie I’ve ever watched!

My rating: 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Spice: none (kisses only)

This is the perfect story for the holiday season! Not only were Clara & Clark and their dynamic amazing but the side characters have to be some of my absolute favorite! I will say one this I love about Tracy’s writing is yes we get the full aspect of the name characters and their plot but she gives such amazing side characters too without taking away from the main ones!

So what do you get when you take our Christmas loving FMC and mix her with our Scrooge of an MMC? Well you get fun banter with a lot of secret tension between them. I loved their character and relationship growth especially when Clara put her foot down, I was like yes girl! I do what you to keep in mind this is a slow burn, but you do get a happily ever after! Chapter 33 I felt everything that was talked about because, wow, so relatable 🥹 Also everyone needs a bff like Madison she is amazing and I need a story for her asap lol

What a great read this was! I'm a little Christmas obsessed myself, much like Clara, and as such, I definitely was drawn into this story and related to her character right away. She has big dreams to one day write Christmas romance movies and with inheritance from her aunt, she seeks to find the perfect writing retreat for herself to do just that. When she finds a secluded cabin located in a little town called Noel, it SEEMED like the perfect fit--- until she discovers the struggling town doesn't live up to its holiday name at all. This truly is the perfect read for all Hallmark fans--- struggling town with a holiday name? Check. A mayor MMC who can be a little bit of a scrooge? Check. A Christmas loving FMC that wants to save the town and bring it some Christmas cheer with a Christmas festival? Check. These two were such wonderful characters... Clark was definitely very much a grump, but the more we got to see from his past, the more I found myself rooting for him. The two of them had such wonderful chemistry, and while it was very much a slow burn, the payoff was absolutely worth it! This was the first book I'd read from Tracy Baack and it has me looking forward to reading more from her in the future.

Saved by Noel is a closed-door romance with kisses only and no language.

Clara has always dreamt of writing a Christmas movie script, and when her late aunt leaves her an inheritance that she only can use if it's related to her dream, it finally seems possible. She buys a cottage to have as a writing retreat in a small town called Noel and hopes for plenty of inspiration. She soon faces some obstacles when she meets Clark, the town's handyman. He's more of a Scrooge character, but Clara's not giving up that easily.

First Christmas book of the season! I'm on the author's ARC team for "Joy to Noel" that just released, and although you can read them as standalones you get more from reading "Saved by Noel" first. As soon as I knew I was accepted to ARC read the second book I did what most people would do: I bought a copy of the first book! Now I'm well introduced to both Noel and its inhabitants - and I also got some Christmas feelings in the drab of November!

Clara and Clark are very different. She's sunshine, he's grumpy. She loves helping others, he's used to depending only on himself. While Clark grew up in a family that barely celebrated Christmas, Clara is a real Christmas nerd. Not hard to see that they may clash... but the attraction is also apparent from the beginning.

I love the text conversations between our couple - and Clark's frustration when Clara hits the dial button instead of texting back! There are quite a lot of cosy and funny scenes in the book, but my favorite is probably when Clara finally sets some boundaries and says no to helping out. Nothing wrong with helping people, but when they use your kindness to their advantage it's time to stop.

I need to mention the side characters as well; they all feel well fleshed out and authentic. I especially love Pops, a grandfather figure who helps Clark see things differently, and Syd and Davis who are Clark's close friends (and becomes Clara's too). It will be fun to follow Madison, Clara's best friend, in the next book!

My Quick Takes:
- 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Language 🤐 none
- Spice ❤️‍🔥 kisses only
- Content Considerations 🤔 toxic family, discussion of past infertility and loss of family members
- Reader Age 🎟️ adult

Tracy does it again! I loved the timeline and plot twists in this slow burn Christmas romance. The character and relationship development that the timeline affords is unique when compared to other books I’ve read in this genre. The banter was sweet and fun, and I loved some of the text exchanges throughout the plot. I find that I identify more with the grumpy characters in the books that contain the grumpy/sunshine trope and Clark was no exception 😅

It’s been a while since a book inspired me enough to create, but Saved by Noel did just that. I had the honor of beta reading this Christmas romance and loved it so much I immediately started sketching some character art! If that doesn’t show how much I enjoyed this book I don’t know what will.

If you love Hallmark Christmas movies I absolutely recommend Saved by Noel ❤️ plus, it’s perfect for anytime of year, not just the Christmas season.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫(4.5)

Clara has always dreamed of writing Christmas romance scripts, but life as a busy copywriter has sidelined her goal. When she inherits enough to chase that dream, she buys a cozy cabin for a writing retreat. But sparks fly with Clark, the town’s Christmas-hating handyman, putting her focus to the test. Can love and holiday spirit inspire her to make her dreams a reality?

“What in the Magic Eye illusions are you, Clark Noel?” A grumpy guy who needs a little saving but is also strong and respectful. A man whose insecure past doesn’t stop him from building deep relationships with a few but still has a hardened exterior. A man who hates Christmas but just might be open to saving his quaint town—and maybe a certain strawberry-blonde girl ;)

If you enjoy Hallmark movies, this story is for you! From the spunky town characters and the (un)certainty of chemistry between the big city girl and small-town man to the subtle humor and charm of holiday traditions and career crossroads, every element of the story is a heartfelt reminder of wholesome romance. I can’t wait to see what affectionate love story Tracy gives us next!

Thank you to the author for the eARC ❤️🎄

Clara and Clark are the epitome of grumpy/sunshine and their story is so sweet. Instalove isn’t generally my favorite so I really liked that this takes place over the course of a year.

I particularly liked the conversations about needing people. To have someone to care about things with you and to share your burdens is such a blessing, whether that be a spouse, a best friend, a parent or grandparent. That kind of love is beautiful.

You can get this one on 11/1!

Favorite Quotes:
‼️”…it's okay to be content with what is, but it's also okay to want what could be."

👩‍❤️‍👨 I guess I'm saying that I think that we could be... Well, maybe we could be better as Clark-and-Clara than we are as Clark"-I gesture toward him and pause to punctuate my statement. Then I gesture to myself separately-"and Clara…. I just want you to know that I want that. I want to find out if we're better together."

🤣 "Clark, I mean this in the most loving way. You're a complete and utter idiot," Pops declares.

❤️ "Needing the love of a kind, generous woman like Clara doesn't make you less competent, son. It just makes you more loved. And there ain't nothing wrong with that, no sir."

“I want you to chase your dreams.”

~Everyone says to dream big... but how do you turn those big dreams into reality?!…

-Saved by Noel, is a wonderful cozy Christmas holiday romcom! It is a heart-melting, feet-kicking swoon with zero explicit content in a closed-door, kisses only sweet romance. It is filled wonderfully and precisely with such lovable and layered characters, delightful banter and humor, and with such vivid imagery and details! It’s a story that will have you fully engaged and invested right from the start to the last page, with the dear characters and the little charming town of Noel. A place that feels special and only needs a little extra magic to become something even more sensational. I loved the way this dear story emphasizes the importance of needing others in our life. To have someone to care about things with you and to share your burdens is what this life is all about. This kind of love is beautiful! When we share that love with others, magic happens and flows! While this was my first book read by @authortracybaack, it certainly won’t be my last! This is a heartwarming and uplifting story, that is worth the delightful read, anytime!✨🙌🏻📚🎄❤️✨

I absolutely adored Saved by Noel by Tracy Baack! As a new-to-me author, Tracy completely won me over with this heartwarming story, and I’m so glad I had the chance to read it. Christmas has definitely come early with this delightful book. If you love holiday romances, small-town charm, or stories about chasing your dreams, this one checks all the boxes plus, there's the added bonus of an irresistibly sweet dog!

I'm a sucker for small-town romance, and Tracy nailed the grumpy/sunshine dynamic. Clark was the perfect grumpy character sometimes even downright rude but his backstory gave so much depth to his behavior. And Clara? She was the perfect contrast, full of spunky energy and sunshine, yet her own challenges kept her from feeling too perfect or overdone.

One of the most enjoyable parts of the book was spotting all the movie references it added such a fun layer to the story! Tracy Baack has created a memorable, festive, and thoroughly enjoyable romance that had me smiling from start to finish. This has made me more excited and eager for Christmas 🎄!

I really liked this book. The author does an excellent job of showing the reality of many. We can see through the book some desires to be fulfilled, some insecurities and traumas that get in the way, but most importantly how by giving ourselves the opportunity in life to take the step we can achieve beautiful relationships that heal.

Funnily enough, I almost DNF'd this one at 20%. Clara came across a little obnoxious in her obsession with Christmas, and her over-the-top disappointment toward the mayor when the town of Noel wasn’t as festive as she expected felt very tantrum-y.

But I am so glad I kept going because once the story settled in, it was genuinely delightful. I loved following Clara and Clark over the course of a year as she travels back and forth to Noel, working on her movie script in her newly purchased cabin and constantly bumping into Clark (and his precious dog, Chase). Their dynamic was such a sweet contrast between Clara’s determined, sometimes relentless desire to help others and Clark’s preference for solitude and strong resistance to change.

You get a fun Christmas festival, and the slow burn here is really slow. But in a cozy way! I adored the slight animosity between them and the way they clearly thought about each other between visits. That little spark of anticipation to see each other again! It was adorable!

If you’re a fan of a sweet, cute Hallmark style romance, then I think you’ll really enjoy this book. It’s a book for anyone who loves all things Christmas. 🎄

Clara has aspirations of writing a romance movie script and when her favorite aunt Gloria leaves her some money, she purchases a cabin in a nearby small town named Noel. She plans to use it for a writing retreat.

The town’s mayor isn’t a fan of Christmas. And that sets Clara and Clark at odds. Yep, their names are super similar.

Highlights |
🌲grumpy/sunshine trope
🌲plant lover 🌱
🌲small town
🌲slow burn romance

I thought this was a fun, lighter read, but it was a little bit too much on the fluffy side for my taste. The MFC was a bit over-the-top emotional, in my opinion. And this girl sure loves pumpkin spice bubble baths! 🛁 I think it is a nice choice to balance out heavier reads.
