This story happens in Thailand. Mr. Gordon Taylor, also called Tinker, visit this country so he could relax write and paint. He meets Sue a Thai girl. Both meet Mr. Bud who is a collector of Buddhas statuses. Sue takes both men to see a cave where a big old Buddha is there. When they arrive, they find out that it was stolen. Tinker tries to find out what happen to it. While Tinker is in his hotel he decides that wants to visit an island across the beach. He tries to rent a boat, but no one helps him. So, he borrows Sue boat. When Tinker gets at the island he encounters a fisherman looking for crabs. Tinker decides to swim and dive. He discover the stolen Buddha under the water. When he gets at the surface Mr. Lee and the fisherman threw to him a fisher net. It takes a while before he gets free from the net and when he is going to look for help, he sees the police arresting them. Finally, Mr. Lee order the fisherman to steal the Buddha because he wanted to sell it to the higher bidder. Everybody gets happy that the Buddha is back in the cave and Mr. Bud decides to built a museum called Bud's Buddha.
