Sophia remained vigilant in saving the lives of those around her. Especially those she loved. When she is taken to a crime scene she begins to feel a dark force and has her first encounter with a demon. Now she has to learn to withstand their mind reading and fight back along with finding all the answers that she longs to find. I have been following this author's work for several years now and I must say that she has yet to let me down.
This author has done it again! She has taken an addicting read and left us with another cliffhanger! I loved all the characters in the book and I was enchanted by the story that I was unable to put it down. It is a magnificent page turner and once you are hooked will never go back. This author has a magical way of entertaining her audience, keeping us in suspense and the, POW, leaving us craving for more! This author is a master with words and she will no doubt make you a fan of her work too. I highly recommend this book to all paranormal lovers and I know for sure you will be hooked from beginning to end.
I must suggest before reading this book that you read the first book, A Higher Calling.

Loved this! There were a couple of minor editing errors, but besides that - I have no complaints.
The story quickly pulls you into its web to the point where nothing but finding out what's going to happen next matters.
Sophie is still uncertain of where her loyalties lie when it comes to choosing between the Sentinels and the Paladin... the fact that she's falling for her Paladin host is not helping her to decide. When Nathaniel, the Sentinel, stops by to add more to his case - her world crumbles. Every piece of information is making her choices more complicated... Love, family... Is there a way to fight for both?
Also, super excited to see if the relationship between her and Ramiel, the Paladin, continues!!

this book follows on from where A Higher Calling ended. Sophia is still saving lives are those that live around her and her town.
She also has a very sexy Ramiel that is teaching her the life of Paladin plus Nate who both tell her about every thing she knew about her self turned out to be a lie

I have been waiting for this for so long and the author did not disappoint! I'm excited to get to know more about the characters and some of the past. If you have read The Higher Calling than you need to read this one!!!!! I can not wait to read Sentinel! Must read!!!

The continuation of a higher calling immediately jumps right into the story.... It sucks you right in! The relationship between Ram and Sophia starts to blossom and Nates roll in all this is revealed.... But as usual Willow kills me with a cliffhanger! I need the next book now!!! Lol
