Wasn't sure what to expect from this book/series as I had not read anything from it before. I received this copy as a giveaway at the San Diego Comic-Con a few years ago. It was a decent read. I was confused by a lot of the techno "babble" that was focused through much of the narrative, probably too much focus on it. I felt like I was coming into the story and history in the middle and was missing a ton of back story.
The characters were interesting and pretty well written. I also enjoyed how they modified Earth History to match what was going on in the story as well as the inclusion of Merlin and King Arthur.
I felt that the story improved as it went along but the ending was fairly anti-climactic.
Overall it was a fairly decent read but, I would probably have benefited from reading some of the earlier books as well to have more of a background.

No beginning, no middle, but like six ends. Some of the most off the deep-end techno jargon I've ever seen (it looks like a NASA instruction manual) but pretty cool. Some pretty good kills. Overall, pretty good for the junk I have to work on. Unfortunately, I'm not rating books only in relation to the Golden Eagle standard. Two stars.

Ending was a little to quick and neat. But the series is fun.
