The Bunny Smiles family has owned this book for more than 20 years. When Mrs. Bunny Smiles was a child, she owned it and must have adored it for the amount of tape holding it together now. These days, Baby Bunny Smiles and Little Sister April Bunny Smiles both love to be read this cherished book It is a nursery book that walks the child through what happens upon an evening.
It starts off discussing the child in the story's personal end of day and then wanders outside to discuss the whole town winding down for the night.
In charming alternating black and white and color double pages (at least in the 1958 version we own) even adults are lulled and softened down into sweet sleep. A great book to have in your nursery or by the bed to read to your kids at night.

A great bedtime story. It includes airplanes and a lighthouse! :)
