One of the criticisms I have for this book is why is the illustrations showing the Monkey as a pink animal. It looks more like the pink panther. There is a nice rhyme on each page. This book teachers individuality as the monkey learns to accept who he is. The illustrations are big and colorful but I just don't get why the monkey is pink so that takes it down a notch in the ratings.
