Breathe Smart: The Secret to Happiness, Health and Long Life

Rate this book
In this little book, Aaron Hoopes brings twenty years of experience in the martial arts, fitness training and meditation to bear on one of the most fundamental dimensions of good proper breathing. He calls it a secret not because it is hidden or mysterious, but because so little attention is paid to it. Breathe Smart shows us how, through conscious breathing we can raise our level of oxygen intake and reap the benefits of increased energy, better health, and a stronger sense of well-being.

My wife is a yoga teacher and she teaches the type of breathing exercises Aaron Hoopes explains in this brief, simple and profound little book. In fact, she's quoted from it in her classes from time to time. Aaron reminds us of how we've forgotten the seemingly simple act of breathing properly. Heed his advice and the positive results will seep into your daily life little by little.

This little book has helped me in a number of situations. Great for stressful ones, like having a CAT scan when you don't like tight places.

This is a book I will go back to, to help remind me of ways to actually breathe, and mostly relax
