Book One in the How to Tame a Heartbreaker series is a fun, light, New Adult romance.
Hannah Garrison was fresh out of high school when she decided to test her wings and move to Nashville. She came from a family of modest means and had little more than the clothes on her back when she moved. But, she was a talented artist and was just tenacious enough to make it in a new, strange city. Jason Lane was the golden child of one of the most established families in Music City. He was the definition of Nashville royalty. His father was a renowned country music songwriter, and Jason was following in his footsteps. Although only in his early twenties, he had already written some epic hits and established his presence in the country music scene. Hannah made no bones about expressing her distaste for country music even though she lived in the heart of Music City. Jason had no problem using his fame and good looks to elevate his status as a player. Neither of them saw it coming, but sparks begin to fly when the two have a chance meeting at a local coffee shop. Can Hannah get beyond Jason's colorful past and the baggage that comes with it? Can Jason change his ways and convince himself Hannah is worth more than a one-night stand? This dreamer and heartbreaker might just be stubborn enough to make it happen.
I've always explored various artistic mediums but nothing has ever captivated me like the world of literature. I am truly grateful to all the authors who have inspired me, and only hope I can contribute to the wonderful craft of storytelling.
I like games and kids and red Starburst. I like tattoos and koi fish and tattoos of koi fish. I like fresh air and gardening and sushi. I'm sure you'll read about my other interests because I draw inspiration from things I enjoy.

The story itself had a solid foundation and a light and easy writing style. The start caught my attention because I found Hannah’s character to be appealing in the sense that she just graduated high school and was moving away from home into a garage apartment owned by friends of her parents. She had saved enough money for 4 months rent and hoped to gain employment before the money ran out. And yes, she found a job at a popular coffee shop a couple of blocks from her apartment. How lucky is that? She also was on foot – no car in Nashville. Once there, things took a turn for me and I found myself rolling my eyes and thinking, REALLY? A wall of unrealistic sequences came fast and furiously and I just couldn’t make that crossover. Everything was just a little too perfect and lacked development. Everything is just too fast, too “perfect” with no uncertainties. Hannah is gullible and weak. She falls for anything and everything too easily.
I’ve got a real problem with a playboy/bad boy who thinks he can just tell a girl (who by the way should know better) that he’d rather not wear a condom and he’ll “pull out” before anything can happen. I’ve got big load of BS to drop on him – if he thinks that’s going to make a difference. How many girls have gotten pregnant by this promise of “love”? There is not much of an age difference between Hannah, who is a recent high school graduate, and Jason, the rich and successful songwriter but their life experiences and life styles are oceans apart. Hannah grew up in a small town and raised in a close-knit family. She’s very naïve and has had sex a total of three times with her high school boyfriend. And then there’s Jason, who can’t even remember the number of women with whom he’s been sexually involved – and sometimes with multiple partners. He’s done the drinking and drug scene and the parties - and all in excess.
The icing on the cake here is that there’s an insta-love/insta-sex between the two that just doesn’t click for me. Jason buys her a brand new car the week after he meets her. He finds out she’s artistic and sets her up doing album covers and t-shirts for a popular band. He takes her on an overnight sail on his yacht. He insists she move into his mansion and quit work to “move in with him and be his sex slave.” Yeah, right – this is going to happen a week’s time in Nashville. I don’t think so. I’m all about fiction and happily-ever-afters but everything was just too perfectly orchestrated and I just couldn't stay in tune with their love song.
All in all, if you can suspend your need for believability and you want a little heat and a far-fetched love connection, then this might be for you.
I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.
I found myself smiling a lot during this one and I am not entirely sure why. I think part of the reason was the way the two of them interacted throughout the story; it was adorable. I just loved how they flirted with each other.
Hannah just graduated high school is ready to spread her wings and test herself in a new city on her own. Jason is a very successful song writer who is used to getting exactly what he wants. I think what bonds the two of them together is how creative they both are.
I really liked Hannah in this story as I thought it was entertaining how she would turn people and certain situations into cartoons often in a comical way to portray them how they really are as opposed to how they present themselves in public. I also liked how she would be confident one moment and then have the "oh crap what did I do" moment not that long after. Because lets face it we have all been in situations with a guy where we decided to put ourselves out there in a moment of excitement and then quickly went "what was I thinking?!!" and search for a place to run and hide.
Jason on the other hand is very confident in himself as he has never really been denied before. Although it is clear the two of them are attracted to each other Hannah can't just ignore his promiscuous past.
Overall a fun read that you will not want to put down!! I had to force myself to put it down one night because it was way past when I should have been sleeping but then couldn't actually fall asleep because I was too excited about the book! I promise you will be in a happy giddy mood by the end of this one!
I can't wait to see how this plays out as a series; will it be Hannah and Jason throughout or are we going to get a new couple every book? I am guessing a new couple but who? I am thinking there could be something with the best friends but we shall see!!

****3.5 stars***
You’re Dangerous is the first book in the How to Tame a Heartbreaker series from Casey McMillin.
When talented artist Hannah Garrison moves to Nashville, She meets country music songwriter Jason Lane. Sparks fly when theses two from very different worlds meets. Jason is known as a ladies' man and so quite rightly Hannah not too keen to get her heartbroken. But Jason sees something different in Hannah and wants to show her that the last thing he wants to do is break her heart.
“God, That girl got under his skin in a way no other girl had ever”
Hannah was a down to earth, independent girl. Loved that she was artistic, and it was a refreshing change to see someone who was not planning on going to university. I like Jason loved that he was so protective of Hannah, and the way he do love my alpha men. Jason and Hannah certainly had chemistry, and things move quickly between them.
“Their mouths barely touched, and still somehow the energy and electricity they exchanged was our of control”
The storyline line moves quickly, but I wouldn’t say it was rushed. It’s told in third person, which I don’t mind, but I do find it takes me a while to adjust. There were some great secondary characters that will be worthy of their own stories. So looking forward to reading their story as the series progress.
Overall, You’re Dangerous was a good start to the series. It was a fun easy sexy read, and I enjoyed the story, and characters development. I look forward to the next book A Few Little Scars that is Hannah’s best friend Molly’s story and of course seeing more of Hannah and Jason as the series progress.
If you liked Casey’s In Too Deep series then, I have feeling you will like this one too.
This book was so funny, and I loved Jason, "oh, it's about the ride? Sh** girl, why didn't you just say so? I'll pick you up for dinner tomorrow night at seven. Just text your address to this number when we hang up, and I'll see you then, okay?" He's also bossy, "he cocked his head at her. "It wasn't really a question. I should have worded it more like, take your shirt off, Hannah. Does that make it more clear?" The way Jason and Hannah talked about certain issues is like it's not a big deal: "We should have talked about birth control," he said. Her eyes popped open. "I just assumed you'd use a condom," she said. "I will, I do, I mean I always do with everyone else I've been with, but I don't want to with you." Hannah sure knows how to get Jason's ego even bigger than it already is, "he shed his boxer shorts while he was turned over, and by the time he rolled back into place, he was buck naked with a condom in hand. Hannah glanced down at his groin, and he pulled back, letting her inspect it. "That seems really big," she said." Sometimes Hannah just has to check and make sure things are in place, "he ground his hips into her, letting her feel his hardness on her upper thigh. "See what I'm dealing with, here?" he asked. She giggled and looked down between them. He didn't let up on the pressure, so all she saw was the place where they met at the waist. "Oh it's down there all right," he said. I can't wait to see whose next in this series of if the author will continue Jason and Hannah's story.

Hannah just graduated high school is ready to spread her wings and test herself in a new city on her own. So she gets a job at a coffee shop to earn some money and just enjoy life on her own. She meets Jason Lane famous country song writer and obvious ladies man, and for some reason he is interested in her.
The other thing about Hannah is that she is a very gifted artist and draws the most amazing pictures. So one day when she makes Jason's coffee she draws a picture on his to go cup and that how their romance starts.
I enjoyed this book, to me it was a book about young love and that you can still get a book that is all about the 'boy meets innocent girl, boy messes up relationship and boy needs to grovel to get said innocent girl back'. And all stories have there ups and downs and that's what happened to Hannah and Jason and I loved the way Jason asked her forgiveness, it was so romantic. And yes I know what some of you are thinking oh that is so not for me. But sometimes we just need a bit of romance in our lives.
The reason for 4stars and not 5stars is that I thought at some parts that Hannah was a bit too young for Jason. But other than that I enjoyed it

Thanks Casey for the opportunity to read this book and I am so looking forward to reading about Nick and Cam!!
* 2.5 - 3 Stars * When I think about this story, the first word that comes to mind is meh. I felt like I've read this story before. I did like that Hannah had no plans to go to college. It was refreshing to not have that element be the same as almost every other after high school, good girl meets bad boy player NA book. I had a hard time with the 3rd person writing style. I almost gave up within the first few chapters. This book wasn't horrible by any means but it just didn't grab me like I had hoped.

Oh my gosh! I can't explain how much I liked this book! It was such a quick and fun read. I loved Hannah and that she was just a simple girl. I liked that she wanted what she thought was impossible, but she went with it anyway. I liked Jason and that he had a past, but it didn't stop him from loving Hannah without question. I liked that they were so cute and even kind of awkward around each other. I just liked this booked all around! Can't wait for book #2! :)
This is a very cute story. The mc, Hannah, is a cartoonist who draws inspiration from R. Crumb, and loves the music of Tom Waits. She comes from a normal, working class family who love and support her as she makes her move to the big city of Nashville, where she meets the hero, Jason. He is rich, promiscuous, and drop dead gorgeous, but also very direct about what he wants - no hidden agendas, which is a nice change of pace. Great read for a lazy week-end afternoon.
I've done only a handful of reviews mostly just rated the books so hopefully this isn't horrible!!
I fell in love with this book. so easy to read i was able to finish it pretty quickly and it has me wanting more from the characters. Cannot wait for the next one in this series to come out later this year. Definitely say i would recommend this to other readers!! :)
**I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**
I gave this book 3.5 stars. The storyline is really interesting. The characters are good. The main characters, Hannah and Jason have great chemistry. Hannah got on my nerves a couple times, but overall I liked her character. Jason is HOT! I really liked his protective side toward Hannah and his alpha tendencies. The other characters in the book were great also.
So, this book starts off with 18 year old Hannah getting ready to move to Nashville, from her small hometown Sparta. She is moving away from her family and friends to start a new life and grow as a person. She moves into a small apartment above a family friends garage, with no car and barely any money. She gets a job at a popular coffee shop within walking distance to her apartment.
Jason is a popular songwriter for country singers. His dad was also a very famous songwriter, so Jason has always been very wealthy and never needed for anything. All of his friends come from money or are famous, and they have literally gotten anything they want, including lots of sex with anyone they choose. He goes into the coffee shop Hannah works at every couple of mornings religiously at 9am.
When they see each other they are both attracted, but Hannah doesn't think anything could come of it, because she is literally the opposite of Jason in every way. But, Jason can't get her out his mind and goes to great lengths to just hang out with her.
The relationship between Hannah and Jason happens fast, but is very passionate. Jason is sexy as sin and Hannah is very inexperienced and shy, but Jason definitely pulls Hannah out of her shell. At times Hannah is almost too naive, but I had to remind myself she is only 18. I enjoyed this book and would definitely read book 2.
McMillian´s writing style is detailed and vivid enough so the reader can connect with the story and feel the character´s emotions but her dialogues sound most of the time too detached and aloof. When Jason talks with Hannah about their first sex together, there aren’t any emotions. Sure, Jason is experienced but he could sound more empathetic. Apart from that the dialogue about Hannah´s meeting with Jason´s jealous female friend is heartbreaking and his amendments to win her back heart melting. At the end of the story I became hooked on the story and Hannah´s and Jason´s relationship.
The story is written in a third-person, authorial narrative. The narrator is omniscient and interferes, comments and assesses the story and the character´s actions. It is a really difficult narration and I´m always impressed with authors who dare to choice that point of view. In my opinion it is a fine line because third-person narratives are distance and less emotional by nature and first-person perspectives are easier to write and to connect with. But McMillian manages to walk that fine line and at the end of the story, at the highest point of McMillian´s arc of suspense, I connected with her characters and felt Hannah´s emotions.
The story is a classical one with one storyline. Two people from different social classes meet, spend some time, fall in love and have to face the differences of their upbringings but it is a simple and nice story. I really liked it. Jason´s alpha insinuations are exciting and Hannah handles them very well. The balance of Jason´s dominant behavior and Hannah´s strong and independent personality make a sweet love story and a great reading.

I wasn't sure I'd like this New Adult (NA) book, but I got hooked pretty quickly. It was a fast read that kept me entertained. I do want to know what happens in book two, when it comes out. Parts of this one kind of reminded me of Fifty Shades - the older, experienced, rich and successful and famous guy wanting control over the innocent younger girl, wanting to protect her, buy her things, caring about her, indoctrinating her into the art of love making, etc. but that's okay, I didn't mind it. Is it great literature? No, I don't think any NA is, yet. In fact, I think most YA is much better written and even more mature than NA, which, to me, is like a contemporary version of a Harlequin romance novel. This is my third NA book, and I call them all my "fluff" reading! Also, I did find at least five grammar/punctuation/misspelling errors, in this book, which annoyed me. Better proof reading is in order for a lot of books which are published today.
But, overall, I enjoyed the book and the dialogue was believable and it wasn't badly written at all. It left me wanting more of the story. Do Hannah and Jason move in together and get married? Do Molly and Nick hook up? Do Taylor and Cam hook up? I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Oh, and the sex scenes were pretty hot as well!
I gave it three stars because it held my interest and entertained me, which is what I like books to do for me.

The story itself was cute enough, but I could tell almost immediately that I was not a fan of the author's writing style. It seemed very simplistic, and the book was definitely not edited. I guess it depends on the reader, but for me it was bad enough to notice and keep me from feeling any sort of connection with the characters.
Hannah just seemed to be a little too blah and naive, and Jason was pretty dull for a supposed bad boy/player. It was supposed to be an instalove type of situation (which I don't mind at all), but there was a lack of chemistry and no real development between the two to make this a good romance. Overall, it felt slow paced, and I kept waiting for anything exciting to happen.
It was a quick and easy read, but I highly doubt I'll be finishing the series.
Side note, some of the most RANDOM lines in this book are about how atheists are horrible people for some reason. Every time I read one I was like, um, what????? It was just so random and funny/ridiculous. "He was an atheist, so everyone expected and excused his testiness." "That was weird," Nick said. Jason shrugged. "He's an atheist," he said, as if that should explain everything." "You know I like Tom Waits. How bad could I be?" "Nothing's an atheist and he likes Tom Waits," she said."
Ok, so I finished this book a week ago and i was putting off writing my review because i really hate giving bad reviews... It's like telling a parent that their baby is ugly... not cool! I guess this book was just not for me; it had a lot of elements that i do not usually enjoy in a read so lets name a couple so you can get my point:
1)it was written in the 3rd person - major turn off for me except in rare occasions. I think i mentioned in an older review that when i read 3rd person pov books i try to imagine what the narrator looks like, and i know it's pointless and distracting but my mind keeps on going there!
2)the story: semi-bad rich boy meets good poor girl, boy falls madly in love with girl within a matter of days, girl doesn't want to get hurt so it's a semi-no, girl sleeps with boy, crazy ex gets involved, girl is devastated, boy wins girl over using extreme measures, the end!! oh let's not forget boy is extremely possessive, caring and overprotective...
Been there read that so many times! Authors need to step up their game if they want readers to really enjoy their work. Don't get me wrong, the writing was good and the characters were well developed, but the story suffered from severe lack of originality. I'm really sorry to say this but i cannot recommend this book.

Hanna Garrison has just finished High School and decides to leave her parents' home and go to Nashville to get a job and be independent.
This was a fun, quick, romantic, and light read. I liked that the story was different, nowadays we read a lot about someone finishing High School and then go to college, but in this case she didn't plan on going to College and I found that refreshing. The characters are likable, but at times I did think that Hanna was a bit too perfect, because everyone seemed to love her and everything that she did. It also seemed that everything happened very quickly since she arrived in Nashville - she was able to make friends, get a cool job, and also meet a hot, sweet and famous guy, all of this in a very short period of time. Speaking of a very short period of time, that's also what happened with Hanna and Jason's relationship, it felt like they didn't have time to get to know one another before they started getting very serious.
I liked the comic strips element of this book, it was fun when she imagined what things would look like in a comic strip.
This book made me smile, laugh, melt (with Jason), and want to read the next one.
I received this in return for an honest review... I'm a little torn about the book. Let me first start off by saying it was a good and easy read. Good in the sense that I liked the characters and their personalities and it IS romantic. How they got together and what attracted them was well played but it was a little slow going and even paced throughout. There wasn't any thrill or major drama that I typically look for in a book. I wish the supporting characters and their roles were developed a little more in this book. It was pretty tame and the only "racy" part was toward the end and I can't say it was even all that extreme. The cover was a little misleading but heck I'm not complaining about seeing eye candy... I liked it. If you're looking for an easy going read with a happy ending then this book is for you. I'd probably pick up book two on a lazy day. Thanks for allowing me to read this.
First, you must know, I LOVED McMillin's In Too Deep series. I think McMillin always does a great job of creating interesting characters, many of which are very relatable. Her stories are easy and fun and leave me happy. With that said, You're Dangerous definitely falls into that same niche. This is the story of Hannah, a small town girl, who is breaking out on her own. She moves to Nashville right after her high school graduation without a real plan. However, because Hannah is Hannah, a very optimistic and open-minded girl, she quickly sets her sights on a job and a friend, and attains them both. Along the way, she catches the interest of Jason, a successful song writer, son of country music royalty and an alpha type man-whore. We get to enjoy Hannah making a life for herself as well as her love story with Jason. Both are a lot of fun, and kept me smiling until the end.
I simply love all of Casey's book and I knew that this would be the same. I always love the characters chemistry and the way that things always work out the way that they are suppose to. I loved Jason and Hannah and I loved the fact that Hannah had the way about her that made people instantly like her, the fact that she could display life through her art was all the better. Jason was the guy that you loved to hate but you also knew that all it would take is the right girl to bring out the caring side of him. All the other characters in this story gave it just what it needed and they made you fall in love with the story even more. I look forward to reading the rest of this series.
I enjoyed this book alot I thought it was really a sweet story. But had times when it was really hot. All the characters in this book were awesome to. I loved the bonds and friendships that were formed. This couple though I know I read in one of the reviews saying it was a insta kinda love but really it wasn't cause she didn't see him again for a little while and then she tried to fight it. But once that door opened he knew what he wanted and that was her. Sometimes in life you just know. Some people don't believe you can love someone so fast but I think everybody is destined fir somebody. <3
Although DNF, I still give this book 3 stars for 5 reasons: 1. I really liked the first half of this book. 2. The characters had appealing personalities. 3. I liked the doodling & drawing bits. 4. I loved how Hannah & Jason connected through Hannah's drawings under Jason's cup. 5. I think the concept was really nice.
But even with these 5 reasons, I still DNF because I kind of lost interest with the book a little over the half. I really don't like it when I DNF, especially when I really like the first part of a certain book, but I don't know...it just happens.
I like the story and the characters but I was extremely offended with how the author described the character "Nothing" she kept describing him as the atheist which explains the reason he is the way he is. I'm not a church goer but I do believe in God. Just because others don't believe in what I do doesn't make them a bad person or less important. That really bothered me while reading this. Because of this, the only reason I'm going to continue to read the series was is because I got them free.
3.5 stars. This was a nice light new adult read. No super big drama but one or two small moments of angst. I liked the characters even if the heroine was a bit young but I guess that is the way of the new adult books. :)
The steam level is pretty low in this book. The love scenes are sweet but nothing off the charts hot. I would give them about a 3 out of 5 in the heat department. It isn't a closed door but definitely light in with the heat.
I enjoyed it. There were a few problems with Jason Lane being too controlling for my liking. I loved Hannah's character, but I felt like at some points she was a little too innocent and the part about believing him about protection kind of annoyed me. But other than that it was a fun story and I felt that it flowed good. I would recommend this for romance lovers.
This was a slightly unrealistic but very fun, short read. I loved the characters, as they were mostly caricatures of real people, you know, the bad boy who has done everything, & the good girl who hasn't done anything. I didn't feel like anything too heavy, and this was perfect for me. I enjoyed it very much.
You're Dangerous was the first book in the How to Tame a Heartbreaker series by Casey McMillin. I am quickly becoming a huge Casey fan and loving her series. The storyline and characters were fabulous. The twists and turns had me hooked from beginning to end. Loving the chemistry and friendship amongst the characters. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
I enjoued this book tremendously. There were a few errors but other than that it was great. I liked the fact that it was a romance book, but not your typical romance story. They both had qualities that were nit of the norm, which I liked. great job Casey!
I'd actually go 4.5 stars for this one because I loved the main character. She was quirky and I liked that. The romance was good but the supporting cast made this story for me! Good people, strange people, mean people - but mostly the loving people! A book worth reading! :)
Hannah is a small town girl who moves to the city and by a chance encounter meets Nashville royalty Jason. The is a fast paced sweet romance. This story does have a few comments toward atheists and one towards Native Americans that was uncalled for but overall the story is funny and sweet.
