When she isn't visiting the worlds of immortals, demons, dragons and goblins, Brantwijn fills her time with artistic endeavors: sketching, painting, customizing My Little Ponies and sewing plushies for friends. She can't handle coffee unless there's enough cream and sugar to make it a milkshake, but try and sweeten her tea and she will never forgive you. She moonlights as a futon for four lazy cats, loves tabletop role-play games, and can spend hours watching Futurama, Claymore or Buffy the Vampire Slayer while she writes or draws.

In addition to her novels, Brantwijn has had several stories published in anthologies by Breathless Press, including the 2013 Crimson Anthology and 2014 Ravaged Anthology. She's also had a short story published in the Cleiss Press Big Book of Orgasm and the anthology Coming Together Through The Storm. She hopes to have several more tales to tell as time goes on. She has author pages on GoodReads and Amazon, and loves to see reader comments on her work. Her short stories occasionally pop up at Foreplay and Fangs, her blog at http://brantwijn.blogspot.com.

Favorite Lines “The seasons change. So, apparently, do I. It isn’t a common thing among the fae, to be one who changes.
It is, as Talaith put it, complicated.”

“I am a moth, outside the bell jar surrounding my Lady’s light. There are others who can lift the glass, touch her light, warm themselves in its glow... but when they do, they shoo aside the tiny moth hovering by. Such light is not for me. What is the moth to the lamp?
What is a lovelorn Knight to the Lady out of her reach?”

“Do you think I don’t see you?”

“I love you,” I whispered. “All my life, I have loved you.”

I really do love the Fae world! They are passionate, ruthless, and the love completely (when they do love)
Reagan is a Knight of Autumn (Child of War) she will do any and everything to protect her lady Ceri. So when an attempt is mad on her life and others of the royal families Reagan will do anything to protect Ceri even if means leaving her duties! The Morrigan is her mother and might be behind it I haven't figured it out yet I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
This author did a fabulous job of sharing the Fae world with me! I loved all the characters, the plots, betrayals, love, and it was SEXY AS HELL!!

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review (Sparkle)

This is the first book I have read from Brantwijn Serrah and I got to admit GOBLIN FIRES hit all my love buttons. Fae characters, sexy scenes and a fast paced storyline that leaves you clamoring for more. The Fae are ruthless, intriguing and captivating and I love anything I can get my hands on to read. This author delivers a fast paced story that leaves you wanting more. A story of magic, duty, honor and love, Ms. Serrah delivers a story that captures your heart without you even knowing it. The world building this author does is amazing. I loved that the author slowly gave out tidbits of the world and not information dumped on the reader. That made the story line so much better in my opinion.

Meet Regan, A Fae Knight who has fallen in love with her princess, Ceridwen. But as a child of the Goddess of War, it is forbidden to love the princess except no one has bothered to tell that to Regan’s heart. I love, love, love Regan. Her devotion to her princess is outstanding, the love she feels for her is heart meltingly awesome and the author does a great job in creating her as a well rounded character. I have to admit, I normally do not read F/F stories but this one just drew me in right from the beginning. Regan and Ceri are both well written and very enjoyable characters. The author does a great job in capturing their inner most secrets and desires perfectly on the pages of GOBLIN FIRES.

If you enjoy the world of the Fae, simmering sexual tension and more then youjust might enjoy GOBLIN FIRES, a story that will leave you left wanting more. Ms. Serrah is one author I am eager to read more of and can’t wait to see what else this author has in store for her readers. Get ready for a story that will knock your socks off and steal your heart.

Brantwijn Serrah gave the same level of writing talent in the first book of the chronicles of the four court series as she did when she released Lotus Petals.
This story is a tale of magic, wonder, duty, honor, and what it would take to break a vow given. It's about love and loss, betrayal and desire. The main character is fae knight and belongs quite literally to a princess of the courts. The female knight's job is to protect her princess, but she's also fallen in love with her.

Fae royalty are being targeted and Reagan is trying to get to the bottom of it, and in the end a decision will have to be made.

Reagan is a well-rounded character. I found myself drawn into her world, drawn into her and experiencing her journey in this first installment. Serrah didn't fail with any of the other characters in the book either. She has a knack for creating beautiful characters that come up off the pages and circle you their magic. I think, aside from poetic style of writing, characters are by far Brantwijn Serrah's strongest point. Well that and how she takes normal story ideas and turns them upside down leaving the reader on the edge of their seat.

It didn't matter that the love life was of two woman, the writing is so well done I fell for the characters, their situations, and rooted for Reagan despite it all.
If you're interested in magic, fae, a little mystery, this would be a terrific read.

The first couple of chapters of Goblin Fire are chalk filled with details all about the main character and the world she lives in! It did tend to drag a bit through these few chapters but, once the story got going, I found it was well worth it. The spicy sex scenes and mysterious twists kept me wanting more. I absolutely love the characters Brantwijn Serrah gave life to and the world she created. The world portrayed in Goblin Fire is both beautiful and dangerous - one that I hope to be able to visit again soon! Brantwijn is definitely an author I plan to read more from and I look forward to what she'll write in the future!

Goblin Fires is an extremely detailed view into the Fae world; it is very obvious the author did her homework! I found the story line very intriguing and I'm hooked on reading the rest of the series so I can find out what happens next! I applaud the author for giving just the right amount of romance, intimacy, danger and intrigue! My only reason for giving four stars is that I struggled the first few chapters because there truly is just so much detail to absorb. The fae world is very complicated and trying to keep it all straight was somewhat difficult. Definitely glad I kept at it and came to really enjoy the story.

I bought this book because I've enjoyed Lotus Petals a lot. The first half of the book has a lot of details in terms of how the fae world is organized. I dreaded a little bit on the first half but when the conspiracy unveils itself, I'm starting to like the book more. I think the development of the relationship between Regan and Ceri does fall a little bit short since most of the events truly happen only towards the end of the book. I'll be waiting for the sequel to see what happens with them two.

Another smashingly good book by Brantwijn Serrah. The attention to detail is amazing! All of the faerie terms I looked up are legit, and since I'm a huge fan of all things Sidhe, the volume of terms confounded me. There must have been some serious research done. As always, the plot is fresh, the characters are well-formed, the world is impeccably described, the suspense is white knuckle, and the sex is steamy:-) Goblin Fires is a first rate book, and I'm sorry it took me so long to get to it.

I picked Goblin Fires up on a recommendation of a friend. For the first chapter or two, I wasn't quite sure. While loaded with scene-setting details and an introduction to Reagan (the main character), it drug a little slowly for me and Reagan comes off very whiny throughout much of the beginning of the book (though she does "grow out of it" throughout the story). That being said, around the middle of the third chapter, Brantwijn seemed to kick the story into a much higher gear. Scenes came hot (some of them *very* hot) and heavy and the action left me wanting more story. On a night I promised myself an early trip to bed, I found myself looking at the clock wondering where the hours got to as I finished the book.

Thairy is rich in both detail and lore with all the conniving, intrigue, and grandeur that the fae realms deserve. The mythos of the Knights of the Morrigan is enticing and well-developed.

There is a heavy F/F erotic element to the story, with scenes that play out very nicely. They seem to flow and have a "naturalness" about them that allowed them to fit nicely into the story, not seeming forced at all.

All in all, I will be reading this again. I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book to see where it leads.

Tropes: sapphic, knight and princess.

I'm conflicted with this one. On one hand, I enjoyed the world and the story in general, but then the romance, which is what this book is supposed to be, didn't have any romantic moments through most of it! (Which is why there are hardly any tropes). All we we're told was how much the Knight loved the Princess but we're hardly shown it. On top of that, the Knight is a player, and don't get me wrong, I'm completely fine if a character sleeps around a lot, but as a romantic, I don't want to read the smut unless it's the main characters! There were 4 sex scenes and each was the Knight with a different woman!! Not what I want to read at all. Added to that, the Princess hardly had a presence in the story except in the Knights thoughts (which is the POV we're following) so I barely know her and therefore couldn't connect. But if you're looking for just lots of sapphic smut, the smut scenes were great and I definitely recommend them. Beautifully written. The mystery was good too, as were the action scenes and it's the first book in the series so quite a good start. But the Romance, which is what I read for, and what the blurb hinted at, just didn't deliver.

Rep: LGBT+, poly relationship.

A Goblin Warrior in love with the Sidhe princess she’s supposed to protect? Yeah, I was instantly intrigued by this book!

While I enjoy Fantasy Romance quite a lot, this was my first time with a Goblin. And Reagan was definitely everything I had hoped for. Tortured, protective, wild, caring. She’s the bodyguard you want to read about in your Romance!

The story arc of the Romance finishes by the end of this book. But there is an overarching storyline concerning a mystery Reagan is investigating that will continue in the next book.

I listened to the audiobook version. The narrator, Domino Lane, was new to me. Her accent worked perfectly with the setting. I liked her strong voice that fit so perfectly with the way I picture Reagan. It was easy to follow her narration and keep the different characters apart.

I received a free copy of Goblin Fires from the author. Thank you so much, Brantwijn! I really enjoyed your book 🙂

Steamy and engaging adult fantasy

I’ve not read that much fantasy, so I was pleasantly surprised to find myself caught up in this one so quickly. Brantwijn has a fair bit of scene-setting to do at the start, and I thought it was nicely balanced, not distracting me from the story. This is very much an adult fantasy, mixing fae, goblins and supernatural entities with some very, very steamy FF scenes as Reagan struggles to distract herself from her feelings. I enjoyed the mixing the traditional pseudo-medieval supernatural realms with our modern world, and the fact that Reagan was struggling to figure out what was going on around her.

I look forward to reading more of this series and seeing where Brantwijn’s imagination takes me!

Goblin Fires is an excellent start to the Chronicles of the Four Courts, an urban fantasy series. The world-building is imaginative and innovative with so many fascinating parts. The storyline is well-written and entertaining, with elements of passion, desire, betrayal, loss, honor, and duty with explicit scenes and FF romance. The characters are colorful, diverse, refreshing, and unique; I found them intriguing.

Excellent narration by Domino Lane; she portrayed the characters, particularly, Reagan very nicely. Overall, Goblin Fires was a great listen, and I'm interested to know if the author will continue the series.

I really wanted to like the book since I have read another book from this author. The main character I just didn't care for how can be with one person and go to their home and sleep with another under the same roof.

Another lovely book. Half fae Reagan a knight bonded to Lady Ceridwen, a fae princess. Both fighting to protect the fae royalty from deadly assassins. Reagan has been in love with Ceridwen for decades, she will do anything in her power to keep her alive.
