Chadrick needs to die. I’m ruined. My life is ruined. Because of him. Soulless, heartless, unremorseful, he took everything from me. Everything. Now, I’m after his soul. And no, I will not allow his good looks, suave style, or panty-incinerating body to distract or dissuade me. Nor will I allow his deadly dark eyes to scare me. Unlike everyone else, I’m not afraid of him. The. Chase. Is. On.
CHADRICK NIIVEUX
Jhay needs saving. I’ve ruined her life. She’s lost, roaming the darkness all on her own, because of me. Bitter, impulsive, seething with revenge, she thinks she hates me. Thinks she wants me dead. I know I should kill her. Kill or be killed, right? Except, I can’t. I’m shot down. Infatuated. I’ve always been. And while she’s after my life, I’m after her heart. The. Chase. Is. On.
I would be the death of him, or him the death of me. We were each other’s disgustingly dark and deadly destiny, and there was no dancing around that.
This book is not just one of my favorites this year...… This story that Ms. Cole created is definitely my favorite book of the year so far and I honestly don’t see that changing. I’m a fan of several different types of romance (but always romance) --I love the fluffy YA’s and NA’s, I love Romantic Suspense and Contemporary.. I love dark reads, MC books.. but when it comes down to it.. the books I love the most , are books like this. This was a story packed full of action and suspense. It was gritty and violent… but still a story with a deep love..however it was a violent love. Both characters were amazing anti-hero's.
Jhay was such a crazy good character.. I loved her from the very start. A woman seeking vengeance against the man that tore her family apart when she was just child. The boy she looked up to and conspired with..the boy that was her world--- until the moment he ended her everything. She's partly lesbian! And this was new for me.. never read any f/f before and for a moment I was like.. uhhhhh... that's not my thing! But that just added even more depth to Jhay's character. She has major reasons for preferring women to men--at least right now! She's also trying to free herself from those that have turned her into the assassin she is today. One more job..and this job is as personal as it can get for her. This woman is fierce!
Jhay
Chad... such a complicated character.. just like Jhay. He's done some reprehensible things during his life. His life took on a hard and dirty turn at a pretty young age. He eventually dug himself out of that life..but those he left behind want him dead. And they will use whatever means necessary..including the girl from his past that grew until a beautiful assassin. No one could get to him the way his Jhay bird could. He's not seen her in 12 years.. 12 years ago he went from being her hero to being her nightmare in an instance that changed both of their lives forever...
Chad
The levels, layers, and complications of their relationship was unlike anything I have ever read... there is the fiercest amount of love/hate going on. Chad has no qualms about ending the life of anyone that gets in his way even though that's a life he's sorta tried to leave behind...although not so well ;) .. and Jhay.. damn. I just love this woman. She loves and hates so deeply at the very same time..
But when it comes down to it..these two are connected on a visceral level. Battling each other and embracing each other.. hating and loving... She wants vengeance.. he just wants her.
I really cannot say enough great things about this story. I loved it hard and I loved it deep. There was just such a deep level of feeling for these two. It was the deepest of complication and the simplest of love. A hard love.
Jhay and Chad just completely owned me big time. The whole time I was reading this story I was all kinds of " Holy shit!, OMG! Fuck! ". Constantly.. one page to the next. I ate it up.. I devoured it. I loved it. Loved it hard.
If you love those gritty love stories with the characters that are more bad than good.. where the moral compass of both of them leads more toward hell than heaven.. than this book is for you.
“You’re stuck with me, Jhay. It’s me, or no one.”
When Chad uttered those words.. he meant them in the literal since.. and as a reader I had no doubt he meant them to the depth of his soul..
The thing with me, though, was that I felt his words were fair enough. How? Because my sentiments were exact. For him, it was me, or no one. He was stuck with me. We were both a detonating threat to each other. Both hardcore danger. Two horns wrestling atop the Devil’s head.
And Jhay and not doubt exactly how he meant them.. because she felt the exact same way. They were two halves of a whole..
Do not.. DO NOT pass this book up... I know for sure that I will go back and re-read this book again and again. Jhay and Chad are simply characters that will not go quietly into the dark.... they are characters that will stick with you. Part of me so much wants a 2nd story for them but at the same time.. I feel where we left them was perfect and no more is necessary.. so good.. really.. So So good.
Major props to Ms. Cole here. This woman has some major talent. She owned me.
I mentioned during one of my updates that this should be a movie.. and it sure as hell should. I'd buy a ticket for sure!

Chadrick "Chad" Niiveux killed Jhay "Tweety Byrd" Byrd's family when she was 8-years old and living in Russia. It's now 13 years later and she's turned up as a stripper named "Blood" in Chad's strip club, in the U.S. One of his many businesses. He left her alive when he killed her family and there have been many times over the years she's wondered why... wished that he hadn't. Now she's there on a job. Someone want's Chad dead and Jhay is only too happy to carry out that contract or die trying. But Chad has other ideas...
He's always loved her. Even when it was inappropriate and she was an 8-year old kid and he was an 18-year old man. But there were other forces at play, which forced him to carry out the ultimate act of betrayal on the Byrd family. Forces that lied to him and imprisoned Jhay.
Now that he's a successful businessman living in San Francisco, he wonders why someone has been trying to kill him. He's dispatched the other assassins, but now they've sent the one person he can't kill. the one person he would die for, even if she doesn't feel the same way for him.
There were elements of this book that reminded me of the graphic novel WANTED. There were great parts to the story and then there were parts that felt repetative and took me out of the flow. The connection between Jhay and Chad was great. I thought more could have been done with his bodyguard who she knew wanted her dead.
I don't know. I liked it yet I wasn't sure about the story as a whole. Almost felt like too much was going on, but I think that if it connected a little better, it would have all worked extremely well. I loved the action. I loved how bad-ass Jhay was. I thought that more could have been done about the duality in Chad, where he was this guy who just wanted to be a real person, but when his dark side came out it was really scary when pushed too far.
I would read this author again. I think she's growing and will ultimately come up with something that's really cool. I really like the action mixed with the fantastic sex between the characters.
All in all this story is so far fetched it might as well be in the fantasy book section of the library. But is that a bad thing? Not necessarily but you have to be ready to forget about anything that resembles "reality".
We met Chad in SAC's previous book "Jahleel" and I must say I was intrigued by this character so reading an entire book about him was quite enticing. Chad's a bad boy, capable of committing heinous crimes without batting an eye. Calm, cool collected and calculating in all circumstances. Monogamous, refusing to engage in a physical relationship without an emotional connection. This man is a very strange creature indeed.
Enters Jayh, who has one thing on her mind and it isn't connecting physically or emotionally with Chad at all. She just wants him dead.
This book is an interesting departure from the typical characters we encounter.
The writing alternated between 1st person POV (Jayh) and 3rd person and honestly that really annoyed me. I would rather have alternated between Jayh's POV to Chad's POV then have Chad's thoughts related to me by the author which felt distant.
A thrilling gripping read from start to finish. We get to see Chads dark past from Russia catch up with him when he wiped out the Bryd family but left the daughter Jhay alive. Now twelve years later she's out for revenge and as a trained assassin is assigned to kill Chad. She just has to hit her target but Chad has other things planned for her. Chad is one smooth, sexy, georgeous hot lover. Jhay is a dike as she likes to call herself but one night with Chad changes everything for her. She can't get enough of him. Chad and Jhay both really strong full on characters loved them both. They were definitely made for each other. Lots and lots of action and a bit sadistic near the end but a truly great read.
I was given an ARC for a honest review, so here goes. Honestly, when I first started reading this book I thought it wasn't for me. The writing style is a little different, and I wasn't sure I was grasping the concept of the story but I continued to read. Hours later I realized I was still reading. Yes, this story is different. We do have a hot alpha male, but he is so much more. We have a heroine you, by circumstance is wounded assembly beyond repair. Brought back together from ones sins of the past, retribution is at hand. This book has everything. Strippers? Check. Assassins? Check. Hot sex? Yea baby! Muder? Mayhem? A touch of sarcastic humor here and there? It's all here !!! Just to make it clear, I loved this book!!! Definitely not the same old story!
I received this book to leave an honest review. And let me tell you this book is definitely not for everyone, but I loved it!! Chad is not who you expect him to be. Jhay was a kick ass character, loved that girl! And Chad & Jhay together were awesome; not your everyday book couple, but for them it worked. This book had so many elements, it's not to be missed. Some funny parts were a great surprise. And yes let's not forget the epilogue. Recommend this book!!
Once again, S. Ann Cole delivers a book that holds true to the title of her series. She wasn’t joking when she called it Loving All Wrong, but how can something that is so wrong be so right? I was introduced to Chadrick Niiveux in the prior books in this series, but I certainly didn’t know him. I knew that he was mysterious, quiet, business-like and enigmatic. In Chad’s Chase, we get to see what kind of man he truly is, what he does and what makes Chad tick.
This isn’t your typical romance book. Oh no, this isn’t a vanilla or cookie-cutter romance in any way, shape or form. Chad’s Chase takes you on a rollercoaster ride through the lives and relationship of Chad and Jhay. They are not your common couple. They don’t have your average jobs. They are cold, heartless assassins that have been raised and trained to hurt, maim and kill without even a blink of an eye.
Chad and Jhay have a history. They were close family friends from long ago, but their ties got severed when horrific acts took place that changed both of their lives forever. Chad had ripped Jhay’s heart out, turned her world upside down and took every last person that she loved away from her. She was now out to get her revenge, to take his life in return. Chad, being Chad, knows all about the assassin’s games. He knows what to watch out for, who to trust and he knows how to kill or be killed. Chad is not an easy target. Their mutual attraction makes this particular job much harder.
How do two people out for each other’s blood have a relationship? How can this train wreck possibly work out?
If I should be honest with myself, my enthusiasm for Chad’s assignment had not been because I so desperately wanted revenge, but because I so desperately wanted to see him again. Even if it was just to kiss him right before I blew his brains to kingdom come.
I won’t get into too many details about the book, I don’t want to spoil the fun. This is a wild, action packed, lust fest that will have your toes curling in anticipation. Don’t worry, it isn’t all dark and murderous…I laughed out loud several times throughout the novel. The writing is well done, the characters are fantastic and the story was intriguing. Oh, and I absolutely loved the Epilogue…the author killed it! ;)
Seriously, I totally went into this book expecting one thing, and then totally getting something a thousand times better and more entertaining.
I am a sucker for a really good assassin/hitman book. There is just something about the cold, sexy air that surrounds hired killers that makes every part of my brain just light up and fire off. This book satisfied everything. You not only had a very intriguing and well thought out origin story for Jhay. Because every awesome hitwoman needs and origins story. This story sucked me in from page one and took me on a fast-paced, sexy, action ride that had me screaming, laughing, and routing for Jhay most of all.
The character behaviors and reactions were all very true to their experiences and who they were. I especially love the "I hate you." I love how Jhay could kill without blinking but had these random 'tantrums' Because lets face it, she lost all her childhood at age eleven. It wasn't just slowly stripped from her, it was ripped from her. Then when she could possibly have some sort of adult figure in her life, she too sort of takes advantage.
Everything was just brilliant. Not just a great story, but it flows, and builds, and then eases out to a fantastic ending that makes you totally satisfied while wanting another glimpse. I highly recommend this book to fans of dark readers, and suspense.

Years ago in Russia, 18 year old Charick Niiveux murdered the one family (not his biological family) he thought of as his own. The Byrds loved him, cared for him and thought of him as a son and a brother. He did leave one person from that night alive though, 10 year old Jhay Byrd. She was his everything!
Fast forward and Chad now owns a Gentlemen’s Club in the States. The first time he sets his eyes on the new stripper called “Blood”, his world crashes down around him. Blood is confident, beautiful and lethal. She’s here for revenge and Chad knows exactly who she is and why she wants revenge on him. She’s the girl he let live all that time ago. Only now she’s an assassin and here for revenge for her family and because she’s being paid extremely well to kill Chad.
Jhay doesn’t know that Chad knows who she is and her few attempts at killing him are thwarted by Chad who was also an assassin and knows every trick in the book.
With someone else out to kill Jhay and Chad, he decides he wants to be the one to protect the girl he has been in love with since they were children. This brings a tail spin of events that will leave you reeling in shock as each new secret is revealed.
Chad’s Chase is suspenseful, thrilling, dark and violent and such a fantastic read!
I was given a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review. Reviewed by Tanya.
Chad's Chase is definitely not your typical romance. If you want something light and sweet, run the other way. If you want something intense, brutal, and action-packed that pulls you in and won't let you go, this is the book for you.
Jhay Byrd is not your typical heroine. She's a trained assassin with a seriously effed up past.
Chadrick Niiveux is also an assassin, one who ruined Jhay's life, and now she's out to get him for revenge, and to obtain her own freedom.
Their romance is extreme and severe, and at times their feelings for each other swing from crazy passionate to crazy hatred. I really loved the whole thing, read it in one sitting. If you're looking for a hot, steamy thrill ride, and you're willing to suspend disbelief--you need to read this book.
Consider my mind BLOWN! Wow this was really good! Not your everyday romance and not for everyone, but it was totally kickass! Chadrick and Jhay are sick and crazy together, the most toxic couple I have ever read about, but damn if they didn't make it work. So true to name of the series. When I met him in Jahleel he was mysterious but I never would have guessed he was so dangerous. The plot and everything about The Organization was well thought out. So action packed. The characters were awesome. And JK was oh so hilarious in this book! "She grabbed my dick" I laughed out loud at this! The glimpses of him and Saskia makes me want to go read their story all over again <3 Love them!
I loved the entire book. Amazing. I just hated I had to put it down to sleep and work and drive and...Oh I love Chad, drool yummy! And Blood. Wow. She was something else. They were both so fucked up. I loved how they would pass the minuted with forever, when we all feel that way. JK is an ass but he nailed it when he basically said they would kill each other. Loved loved loved it!!!! Sammy boy was screwy, but it was needed that time. Who the hell was isn't right?
I'm so ... Upset! I loved Jahleel... LOVED IT. Was excited about Chad.. But this is just disappointing.. I guess this always happens with book 2 of a series.. More often then not its always a dud.. It had great potential.. But somehow missed the mark by a long long shot.. I don't think I'm gonna finish reading it ever.. :( I CANT BELIEVE THE SAME AUTHOR WROTE THIS BOOK. <3 Jahleel
Oh my God ..... such heart stopping drama ..loved every bit of shocking suspense and romance and pure adrenaline rush of this book ... could not put it down ..... amazing amazing story, loved the JA bit and all the characters with short bit parts like Hugo ..... loveeee love me some jerk chicken :) :) Looking forward to ICE STEAM Duet
Hats off to you Ms Cole !!!! Your imagination is off the hook !!! Wow ..you mind is a powerful one indeed, these stories one can actually make one feel like they are living in the moment, I know I do !!!!
All I can say is this BUY CHAD'S CHASE🔥❤ S. ANN COLE is honestly the best most amazing romance writer. She gives you everything you need in her books and you will always fall in love with her main characters. Chad is the true form of gentlemen, perfection he is even with his different personas. What does this mean???? You will have to buy Chad's story to find out. BUT know this you will not regret your decision❤❤❤❤❤❤
This, all of this, was wrong. Asinine. Loving all wrong.

He was a very important man. A very dangerous man. A very wanted man. A very hated man. A very loved man. A very protected man. He was Chadrick Niiveux. The man who murdered my family. The man who once, when I was a stupid, stupid, stupid little girl, I thought of as... the rich, handsome prince I would grow up to marry one day.
Jhay Byrd lost everything all in one night twelve years ago at the hands of a boy she thought she loved, a boy who was like family. Her life took a dark and bloody turn that night, setting her on a path of death, destruction, and revenge, hell bent on one day coming face to face with the boy who killed her entire family and finally vetting out her vengeance... and her time has come.
Chadrick Niiveux has had to live with the blood on his hands from the only family he has ever known for the last twelve years, the only thing that kept him going was knowing that he was able to at least spare his young tweety birds life, and hoping she is at least happy. When he finally comes face to face with her for the first time since that fateful night, it doesn't take long to realize that her life was from from what he had hoped for; and now that she is back, it is with one purpose... to kill him.
She wants him dead, he wants to save her from the darkness that has consumed her and make her his own, they both have unknown forces trying to destroy them. The questions that they will have to ask themselves is ~who the hell can they trust ~what exactly is the truth ~can a dysfunctional relationship like theirs ever hope to survive or will they just end up killing each other. With bullets coming from every direction, will they live long enough to get the answers they need?
Ah hell. He. Wanted. Jhay Byrd. No sense denying it. But that in itself was a major problem: one, she wanted to kill him. Two, she was a full-blown lesbian. And three, she wanted to fucking kill him.
I fell head-over-heels in love with this author and this series after reading Jahleel, love morphed into obsession after I read Keeping Jahleel, but after Chad's Chase I am completely addicted; she blew me outta the water with this one, this series seriously just gets better with each book. While the first two books were charged with emotion, angst, and drama, this one was loaded with action, violence, deception and blood. She really went in a completely different direction this time around, but being Chad's book it made total sense. There was always something about that man that was just a tad bit dangerous, you just didn't get the full extent of it til now; if it's possible, it just made him even hotter. Jhay was unlike any woman you will ever meet and live to tell the tale; I understood why she was the way she was and where she was coming from... but she was hard to relate to from time to time. There was so much going on and so many secrets uncovered, you really had to pay attention to know which direction was up, from start to finish, with no pause ~ It. Was. Awesome. I LOVED IT. And it was hella sexy too! PLUS we got teeny tiny glimpses of JK and Sassy, not nearly enough to satisfy me but it still got me all giddy. As much as I loved and thrilled through this book, Jahleel still owns me and I miss him :( If you haven't picked up one of these books yet, I highly recommend you do so; this series CANNOT be ignored. S. Ann Cole has cemented her spot on my One-Click Addiction List with her unconventional characters, colorful language and unique stories ~ I am dying to see what she brings us next.
we were one and the same. Him one hundred shades darker than me, but still... we weren't regular people. Our lived had been fucked from the very beginning. And there was no possible way we could commit those vile acts we had in our very short lifetime and then expect to dream and live like normal folks.
This, all of this, was wrong. Asinine. Loving all wrong.

This book was a nice surprise. I didn´t exactly love it, and there were certain things that kept me from really liking it. But, all in all, it is a good story that is worth of your time.
I´ll be keeping my eye out for this author, she hasn´t made me fall in love with her writting yet, and I´m still not sure she can keep up with my expectations, but I still would recommend this book to you.
It is refreshing in a sense that, even though you get a story you´ve probably read a bunch of times, it isn´t cookie cutter. One of the downfalls for me (and I love female assasins), was that the heroine wasn´t likeable enough. She was portrayed as being too mature for her age, when in fact, she wasn´t. I felt she was more like a loose, wild, rabid animal, than a professional killer, and some of the story just didn´t make any sense.
CHADRICK NIIVEUX
Jhay needs saving. I’ve ruined her life. She’s lost, roaming the darkness all on her own, because of me. Bitter, impulsive, seething with revenge, she thinks she hates me. Thinks she wants me dead. I really loved this book. Where Jahleel and Saskia were crazy and at time very hard to like, Chad and Jhay were crazy violent and totally likable! I liked everything about this adventure Ann took me on. I laughed and cried. I haven't found myself so sympathetic and rooting for psychos since JA Redmerski's Company of Killers series. Can't wait for glimpses of these couples in the next book in the series. The Loving All Wrong series is definitely all kinds of right!
WOW!!! Not what you go in thinking and expecting! S. Ann Cole takes you on a ride in this book! If you haven't yet, pick up a copy and get started. You will be amazed how it all plays out!
Holy crap I can't believe how dark n twisted chad's chase is yet I absolutely love it n need more this couple is not your typical couple but holy hell it's hot. The story line is captivating and I couldn't put the book down. Grab your copy today.
DNF...I am struggling with these characters, and the writing, deviating bw 1st and 3rd persons. Jahleel is one of my favorites ever, so I am disappointed!
