Eada Friesian is an author of snarky sapphic women who fall in love hard. She loves all the characters and relationships she gets to play with and the best friends she makes with each new book she writes. She fell in love with the genre years ago and could never leave it. Who would? Now that she’s authoring her own books, she hopes to bring a fresh flair to the sapphic book world.

Eada lives in the mountains, camping her life away with her partner and horde of animals. She has her family right by her side as she strives to live her best life authentically as an author, a parent, a spouse, and weird person. She loves the smell of campfire, the taste of a completely charred marshmallow for a s’more, and living off the land with very little people around her. Of course, none of this last part is true, because Eada is a pen name, and the identity of the person(s) behind her remain hidden.

Eada's Sapphic Queering of White Christmas is a fantastic read. The storyline is gripping throughout, and I found it difficult to put the book down. It is an easy read, and the intimate scenes (all seven of them) are tastefully written.

The book follows the journey of four talented musicians, divided into two groups. The first group consists of Bunny and Piper, while the second group is known as Soul Sister, comprising Bea and Jo. When Esteemed music producer, Seina, extends an invitation to Bunny and Piper, requesting their presence to evaluate the musical talents of Soul Sister as Seina's intention is to potentially sign them to her label, little did they know that this encounter would lead them to meet their future.

Bunny is deeply closeted and fearful that coming out will jeopardize her career. Unfortunately, her choices often lack prudence. Conversely, Bea and Jo are openly out, which creates apprehension between the two groups when they are scheduled to collaborate for a charity event and perform together.

With a touch of suspense that maintains your interest and some exceptionally well-crafted sensual scenes, this book will keep you captivated, contemplating the endurance of the two couples and their potential to be candid with one another and eventually take that leap of faith and be together.

This book is truly remarkable, and I found it incredibly difficult to put down. I highly recommend it and eagerly anticipate reading Eada's next work, especially after her intriguing comments at the end of this book regarding her upcoming project.

Spicy Sapphic Christmas

Definitely a different kind of Christmas story. This was messy - but it was a GOOD mess! So much drama and angst... which led to a lot of spice! 🌶🔥💥

Two musical duos that team up for a Christmas charity event. What was awesome is that the pairings were grumpy/grumpy and sunshine/sunshine - which made for a lot of funny banter, very heated arguments, and magnetic chemistry. Highly entertaining 🤗

I’ll be honest. I had trouble getting into this book since fall just started and Christmas was not on my forecast lol. Well. While we had a few cold days, I snuggled up to read this sexy, sexy book. White Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas movies and having it be sapphic is just ‘chef’s kiss’! I love the character development in each of this author’s books and this didn’t disappoint! So find your soft and squishy blanket and a cup of something warm and read this spicy, fun Christmas tale!!!

Eada Fresian wasn’t kidding when she titled this Spicy Sapphic Christmas. With seven separate well written spicy scenes throughout the book, it is definitely that! The story centers on two musical duos: Bunny and Piper, best friends who have been playing together for decades; and sisters Bea and Jo, up and coming artists who perform together as Sole Sisters.

Bea and Jo are open about their sexuality and have gone out of their way to sign with Siena, Bunny and Piper’s agent, knowing that she’s an out lesbian. Bunny and Piper have been in the closet for years, and Bunny is absolutely terrified of coming out and the effect it would have on their careers. She can’t deny the connection she has with Bea, but her fear causes a lot of issues for them and their respective duos. Meanwhile Piper and Jo are getting closer, having found a kindred spirit in the other.

It took me a little bit to get into this story, but I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and by the end I couldn’t put it down. I really liked Bea, and although Bunny was a jerk sometimes I did get where she was coming from to an extent and I could see why Bea was so drawn to her, and why she and Piper were so close. Piper and Jo were my favorites, though. I absolutely adored both of them and was cheering so hard for them. 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars.

I received a free ARC from the author, but my review is unbiased and left voluntarily.

Bunny and Piper are old hands on the music circuit, having toured for the last fifteen or so years. Bunny is a very closeted lesbian, scared of coming out in case it totally ruins their public image. Because of this, Piper has to stay in the closet too, but as the less worried and more outgoing of the two, she doesn’t want to upset her best friend and band mate Bunny.
Bea and Jo are sisters, a new vocal couple trying to get known. Bea is the older of the two, the leader of the pair, the more sensible in comparison to Jo’s happy exuberance.
When Bunny and Piper’s Manager Siena is asked to represent Bea and Jo, she asks for their opinion.
This is a double romance, Jo and Piper being the easier couple, warm, happy and lively. However, Bunny and Bea have a tumultuous relationship, both needing to be in control, and Bunny constantly butting up against anything remotely ‘gay looking’ in their public life leads to angst between her and Bea, and ultimately between the four of them.
This story is a complicated emotional nightmare, but one that I didn’t want to stop reading. It’s full of angst, and longer than I expected. The stress from Bunny can get overwhelming at times, but when everything is resolved it is a lovely ending.

I really enjoyed this book especially getting everyone’s POV’s from the main characters. This followed two bands and two potential couples. It’s set around Christmas time as they work towards a charity Christmas concert.
The struggles around coming out while being in the media/limelight I think was written really well and it’s a very real problem that still happens.

Queen Quinn Riley did a phenomenal job as always with the narration for the audiobook. You know you’re in safe hands when you see Quinn as the narrator!

Highly recommend reading this and/or listening to the audiobook.

Written in third person with 4x POV’s. Forced Proximity, Butch/Femme & Femme/Femme, Coming Out, Musicians, Fake Dating. 7x Spicy Scenes.

I couldn't remember the synopsis so I was a bit “where will this go at the start. Enjoyed it tho!
If there is spicy in the title, you can expect spicy from early on and the writer doesn’t disappoint. My personal taste is seeing a bit more chemistry first, but then the book might have been called "bland sapphic Christmas" which would not be a good idea on any level.
If this book were a piece of music I would feel slightly off time. There are two couples, so twice the spice but I’m not quite keeping up with the plot strands.
As I said, plenty spice but I did get pulled out of scenes a couple of times doe to the writers word choices. “Sh*t eating grin” didn’t work for me, especially if not speech but rather the narrator’s description in an intimate scene.
One main in particular I didn’t really like. Her behaviour wasn’t really enjoyable to read. This is certainly not a sunshiny read. I also felt there was a bit of inconsistency with Bunny’s character.

This the first of several sapphic holiday books I'll be reading this season and it is indeed spicy. White Christmas is one of my favorite holiday movies so I enjoyed this take on it. Piper and Bunny are an established closeted duo who team up with up and coming out duo Bea and Jo for a musical charity performance. The four main characters have distinct, well developed personalities and are each dealing with their own varying issues. With the prospect of Bunny and Bea coupling and Piper and Jo pairing off, the storylines kept me interested to see if the new relationshipsc will result in happier ever afters. This was the perfect way to jumpstart my holiday reading.

4.5*

I very much enjoyed this book. I love the dynamic between Bea and Bunny as well as Jo and Piper. The story itself is about 2 musician duos (one duo are veterans in the music industry and the other duo are up and coming). The newer duo are looking to get represented by the same manager of Bunny and Piper. As part of the vetting process of the newer duo, they are paired with veterans to put on a concert as part of a charity event. The story then unfolds as each similar personalities pair off (Bunny/ Bea, Piper/Jo). I really liked that the book was from each MCs POV. I would've liked to see more from Piper and Jo's perspective as their relationship felt kind of rushed. I felt it didn't get the proper development it needed. The sassiness and fire between Bea and Bunny was palpable and they had a lot of spice🌶🌶🌶🌶. Though there was one moment when Bunny finally asked Bea to come home with her after much back and forth but it was a closed door scene. There was so much build up towards this moment but we didn't get to reap the benefit of them actually being able to be together and take their time exploring. I feel like that would have been a intimate moment in their "relationship" but we missed out on it.

Bunny's attitude and control issues were difficult for me to swallow at times. I could understand her not wanting to be outed but she would get really aggressive about her opinions almost verbally abusive in her lashing out. What was even more frustrating was that she knew she being an outright asshole but continued to dig in deeper. It literally took almost her entire world falling apart for her to pull her head out of her ass but I very much enjoyed her redemption arc. I also loved how fierce, loyal, and protective she is especially when it came to dealing with Mandy.

Bea is fierce in her love and protection of Jo, which I admired. What I loved most about her was how she stood her ground no matter what. How she valued herself enough to remove herself from a toxic situation even though she was falling/in love. That takes a lot of strength. She doesn't see herself as gorgeous compared to her sister but we watch as she becomes this sexy confident woman deserving of much more.

Piper is a sweet and loyal friend. In the beginning she would let Bunny run the show and walk over her needs/desires as a friend/bandmate. As her relationship with Jo grew so did her confidence. My favorite moments were when she fought back with Bunny and took control of the things she needed regardless of her. Going to Siena and altering her contract to add that clause was a stroke of genius and showed Bunny that she wasn't the same person anymore.

Jo is precious, sweet, bubbly, and quick as a whip. Don't be mistaken in thinking she is a bubbly blonde bimbo who can be taken advantage of. Under that girl next door guise is a sharp, bright woman that can negotiate with the best of them. At the same time though she is susceptible to the same blinders in regards to partners as many of us. She just wants to be wanted and loved. Her previous relationship with Mandy wrecked her mentally and destroyed her sexual confidence. Piper helps pull her back together and shows her that she deserves more and eventually Jo sees this and does what is necessary to rid herself of a mentally abusive toxic ex.

As a side note if you have read any her previous novels you will see characters being mentioned and a whole universe being built. I love when authors tie in previous characters because you continue to see their story evolve and you learn more about them. That is a HUGE plus for me.

I love the way the author wrapped up this story and the character development. They all had things they needed to learn in order to grow and that was achieved. I love how it ended and all of the happiness that exuded fromnall of the characters.

Thank you so much Eada Friesian for providing me with the ARC for this wonderful book. I continue to look forward to more books in this fantastic world you are building.

Bea's band is rising in the music world, and when she meets the famous Bunny, sparks fly. But Bea won't hide who she is, while Bunny fears risking her career by coming out. As their bands are teamed up for a Christmas charity event, their friends Piper and Jo scheme to bring them together taking it as far as faking getting engaged to make it happen.

The story is from four different POVs: Bunny, Bea, Piper, and Jo and each chapter is their version of the story in progress. It's so well written and intertwined that there is no way you can get lost in the progression of the story, it feels natural. Bunny and Bea are the moon and Piper and Jo are the sun, the sun that is there to melt those pair of ice queens. I loved Piper and Jo, their personalities are light, they don't complicate their lives so much, and they flow naturally. Bunny and Bea are ambitious and focused on prioritizing their careers before any love relationship, creating some tension during their interactions.

If you're a fan of "Taming of a Rebel", you'll be familiar with Sienna's story as Tori's ex-wife. In this story, she participates as Bea and Jo's talent agent and continues to be very much present throughout the novel. We learn that Harley is starting kindergarten! And also, damn those bunk beds, they were bound to come back to bite Tori in the butt.
The story also links to the previously released book "Love and Cherish" with Allegra making a special appearance as part of the Holbrook Foundation.
I feel satisfied with the characters that are continually appearing in the series of these books, Eada is great at character development. Her characters have real personalities, they are human, they have fears, and they make mistakes, but they always learn and end up making the best decisions.

As its title indicates, this novella is Spicy, possibly the Spicyest so far. If you're looking into getting in the mood for the holiday season while enjoying some well-written spice, this book is for you.

Tropes: Sapphic Retelling, One Night Stand, Fake Relationship, In the Closet

This is a super spicy sapphic retelling of White Christmas. If you’re familiar with Eada Friesian’s other books you might be surprised at how much more spice is in Spicy Sapphic Christmas. There are two sex scenes within the first 30% and a delightfully hot strap scene not long after. Eada knows how to write a good spicy scene and I was happy to see so many. Of course the plot is great too. The story features two musical duos: the well established Piper and Bunny and the up and coming sisters Bea and Jo. Piper and Bunny are managed by Siena while Bea and Jo hope to be. All four women are queer but Piper and Bunny are from an older generation and have remained closeted during their careers. Piper would be willing to come out but Bunny is adamantly against the idea. There is an implied age gap between the duos but we never get their exact ages. The duos end up working together to put on a holiday show to raise money for single mothers.

Bunny wants to remain in the closet. In an effort to get Bunny outside of her comfort zone Piper hatches a plan with Jo. The plan is that she and Jo will fake having a relationship. Up to this point, about halfway through the book, Piper and Jo have hooked up but nothing serious. Piper thinks if she and Jo fake a relationship it will help Bunny consider a relationship with Bea. Jo is not immediately on board with the idea.

This was a fun spicy read featuring two couples. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Highly recommend if you are looking for a spicy holiday romance.

Eada Friesian news book is about four singers, 2 bands, Christmas charity event and sign up contract.

This story is a roller coaster of emotions by the four main characters. We have Piper and Bunny as the more experienced band, they have a manager and been singing for years.

Siena is the manager of Piper and Bunny, she ask them to join her to check out a band and get their input if she should represent them.

Jo and Bea are sister in a band call sole sisters, they are out and proud because of this they have been having troubles getting a manager to represent them.

The chemistry between Bea and Bunny is out of the charts but Bunny been in the closet for years and believes if she let her private life public, they are going to lose fans and her career going to suffer. They both realize they can’t have a relationship however they both are intimate with each other.

Jo and Piper are very similar, Bunny catch them making out once. Siena wants Bea and Jo be the singers at the Christmas event charity with Bunny and Piper. During the rehearsals Bea and Bunny gets into arguments and after to many fights Bea decide to quit the concert and the opportunity to have Siena as manager.

I won’t spoil any more of the story, what I can say it that I love the story and the characters are great develop. The story line has it up and down, drama with a happy ending. I recommend you to read book.

'Spicy sapphic Christmas ' is another great book by Eada Friesian. The plot is a retelling of 'White Christmas' with a sapphic twist, so involves two singing duos coming together in order to perform a Christmas concert; the twist being that both duos are women and lesbians. The story follows the duos (Bunny and Piper, Bea and Jo) from their first meeting through the growing relationships and tensions between them.Once again, the author has done a great job depicting the complex backgrounds and emotions of the main characters, really bringing them to life and describing the interplay between the four as they try to navigate their developing relationships. The story really is a great read, rewarding more than one read-through to pick up all the nuances (and just for the pleasure of reading a great story!).The sex scenes are hot and add spice to a wonderful storyline which builds on the plot of the film but adds twists and weaves all of its own!One aspect I particularly like are the references to characters in the author's previous stories - you don't have to have read the other stories but it helps create the feeling of this story taking place in a living world and also reminds me I must go back and re-read the other books again, and soon !
'Spicy sapphic Christmas ' is the latest book from Eada Friesian, it's an excellent read and I am already eagerly looking forward to the next ! (Whilst meantime, re-reading the previous books !)

I absolutely love Christmastime and was so stoked to read this book a couple of months early! It was great to be in a Christmassy mood thanks to this book. For me, this is another winner by Eada Friesian! Great storyline, wonderfully deep characters aaannndddd it’s deliciously spicy (as the title promises)! I’ve read a few sapphic holiday/Christmas books and a lot of the time they are sweet but definitely not spicy…which I don’t prefer. To my satisfaction and delight , this one is sweet and spicy! Like super duper spicy & I very much love it!!! The story follows two teams of musical talents, a pair of sisters who are out & proud lesbians & a set of bff’s who are deeply closeted. To be honest, I really appreciated reading about a closeted woman who is able to make her way out…happily and joyfully. Having spent too long in that sad, scary and lonely closet myself, I greatly value this character and her development. Anyway, this is just a really great Sapphic Christmas book & you should do yourself a favor and read it!! I will be anxiously awaiting Eada’s next book! The you for a fantastic book! Oh and I sure hope Eada keeps up this level of spice in her future books 😍😍🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Eada Friesan's sapphic twist on White Christmas sizzles with passion and intensity. Featuring four captivating characters and electric chemistry, it’s a wonder this book doesn’t burst into flames.

Although Piper and Jo are incredibly sweet and gentle, they both possess a strong sense of self and aren't afraid to stand their ground. It’s no surprise their fauxmance evolves into something deeper. I found myself wishing for more focus on their relationship, especially being able to witness the conversations that led to them falling for each other.

Bea and Bunny are both stoic, guarded women who struggle to let others in. While they exude an icy demeanor, neither quite fits the traditional "ice queen" label. Their chemistry is intense, fueled by a fiery hate-love dynamic. Bunny can be challenging, with her temper tantrums, narrow-mindedness, and lack of tact, while Bea, with her lofty standards, lets Bunny in gradually—only to be hurt repeatedly. Luckily for Bunny, Bea’s resilience allows her to see past these flaws and uncover what truly drives Bunny beneath the surface.

Spicy Sapphic Christmas delivers exactly what it promises—a steamy romance that will ignite the holiday spirit. It’s a blend of yuletide cheer and intense angst, featuring four dynamic protagonists whose shared passion for singing leaps off the page. At its core, it’s a heartwarming tale of honesty, acceptance, and staying true to oneself.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I couldn’t even put this book down. I stayed up way too late reading because I needed to know what would happen between Bunny and Bae. (After I got over the names I could enjoy the plot) the heat between both Bunny and Bae and Jo and Piper.

The story line was amazing. Something different for a Christmas book! Bunny, the ice queen and closeted queer, doesn’t like that Jo and Bae are out and proud members of their band that is collaborating with a closeted band because they don’t want to face the back lash of being hated for their sexuality, losing fans or gigs.

But, Bae changes Bunny in a way she hates. Bunny never let anyone get close to her, while her sight is set on her bands success. Although, she is queer, and decides to let her feelings towards Bae show, she completely shuts her out when things get serious.

When Jo and Piper become close, with Jo’s ex showing her face again, Piper realizes how much she loves Jo.

I mean how cute. Jo and Bae(sisters and bandmates) and Piper and Bunny (best friends and bandmates) find their forever matches.

This book is so amazing and will give you heartwarming smiles with Christmas feels!

This latest book by Eada Friesian, Spicy Sapphic Christmas hits all the notes. By that I mean it was wonderful.

It follows the story of 2 bands, sister act Bea and Jo ("sisters, sisters there were never such devoted sisters") and established stars Bunny and Piper. Set to share the stage at a Christmas Eve benefit, Bea and Bunny clash, argue and instantly act on their attraction. The scenes are hot. Just really really hot.

Piper and Jo recognize their respective bandmates need to work out their problems and conspire to fake a relationship for the sole purpose of, I'm not exactly sure, but it was also really really hot.

I have been a fan of Friesian for a few books now and I will honestly tell you that Spicy Sapphic Christmas is her best work yet. The characters are well drawn, easy to believe and their chemistry is fantastic.

I loved the references to White Christmas, easily a fan favorite, and the dialogue snaps. I can't wait for Siena's story, but in the meantime follow this author to the IBT Club. Christmas is early this year and this is a great gift.

4 stars. This only my second book by this author but I definitely enjoyed this one much more. The characters were great, especially the side characters of Jo and Piper. They were both so likable and cute together. The main characters Bea (Jo’s sister) and Bunny (Piper’s bandmate and best friend) took a bit longer for me to warm up to. Especially Bunny. I just found her to be incredibly frustrating but she went through great character development by the end. There’s a lot of angry sex between the two of them at the beginning which was hot but it was great once feelings started getting involved. They have really great chemistry. Overall, this was a lot of fun and such a sexy read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

What do you get when you put an up and coming music duo with a veteran duo? Four diverse characters who could and should make beautiful music together!

Bea was quite the protector of her younger sister Jo, but didn't always treat her as an adult; however, her love was fierce. Jo was the fun, bubbly one who brought that vivacious personality to the group.

Piper had always been a trusted and loyal best friend to Bunny, the supposed leader. Bunny was a hard character for me to like. It just never seemed to be an even playing field among the four musicians. However, this author did a terrific job of making her so caring and likable in the end.

Excellent Christmas treat.

I really enjoyed this spicy story about two show biz bands consisting of and established duo and an up and coming duo of female singers. They are brought together by the rehearsals for a charity concert by their agent. They are marvellous characters individually but the blending of them is so good, interesting and 🔥 as we become involved in their lives. I loved them as they worked through anxiety and reveled as they finally arrived at the conclusion, I would enjoy more of these characters in later stories and thoroughly recommend reading this enjoyable story.

This was an interesting read.

Another book that had me getting all he feels. There was happiness, some tears when there was hard parts. But also excitement along with the characters.

Our own fear can cripple us and make our own life harder than it's supposed to be. We make our own suffering when we don't live our own truth.

Bunny was hiding her truth for years, until it became too hard to to, and she had to make the choice to suffer or be happy. Piper followed along with her decisions up to a point, but when Jo and Bea entered the scene their lives changed forever.

Read this book. Lots of feels and real issues in here.

Sweet and spicy

What a intersting love story involving two sisters and two best friends. Seeing how Bunny, Piper, Bea and Jo struggle to define what it means to live their truth and have the courage to face their fears really resonates. You know character are relatable when you can't decide whether to give them a hug or "snap out of it" slap upside the head, lol. This book had drama and just enough steamy romance to keep you turning the page.

I really wanted to like this book, but the writing style really took me out. If you are switching perspectives among four characters you really need to give all four characters distinct voices. Nothing will take me out of a first person like the characters never using “me” or “I”. I also really wanted to like Bunny and I wish we would have known about why she was so scared to come out sooner even if it wasn’t revealed to the other characters, it made her a lot more likable.

I had a hard time finishing this book, honestly. The spicy scenes were on point, but I had a hard time getting past Bunny’s attitude and internalized homophobia. The whole fake engagement with Jo and Piper seemed a bit rushed, and the whole Mandy plot line fell short for me.
