Clocks are among the most popular and useful of antiques and this price guide provides a comprehensive reference to timepieces from the 17th to the 20th century.
I was very disappointed with this since it didn't list any reasons for the pricing. Even the descriptions were sparse. It's supposed to be an overview of pricing, but there was no explanation why some names & types brought more (often far more) money than very similar looking models. A brand might bring the least in one model & more in another. Was this due to quality, number constructed, or what? Since almost all of the pictures were gray scale, even case materials were sometimes difficult to guess & colors impossible.
