Secret Shifters Next Door: The Complete Series

Rate this book
Secret Shifters Next Door is the bundled collection of Roxie Ray’s four possessive alpha shifters who find their fated mates and do whatever it takes to keep her safe. While each book follows a different couple, the stories are interconnected. The author suggests you read them to fully enjoy the underlying storyline.

Next Door Dragon Daddy

Flirting with my hot neighbor, Tate, is like playing with fire.

He’s impossible to ignore, always half-naked and tempting, but I’m not the same woman I was before becoming a single mom. Sure, Tate enjoys pushing my buttons, and I’m ready to push back. My friends warn me he's dangerous, but I’m not afraid of a little heat. There’s something mysterious about him that I can’t quite figure out, and I’m determined to uncover the truth—no matter the risk of getting burned.

Bear Ex Next Door

My new neighbor is irresistible, but he’s already broken my heart once.

After a stalker and scandal forced me to leave my modeling career behind, I returned to Lily Valley—only to find my old high school sweetheart, Steff, next door. He shattered my heart years ago, and now he’s in charge of my security. With stalkers closing in, Steff and my brothers are determined to protect me. He’s also warning me off Ryland, the new guy in town. But as secrets surface, I’m starting to wonder if I ever really knew Steff—and if I’m doomed to fall for him again.

Wolf Detective Next Door

Help—my new neighbor is dangerously hot, and I think he might bite.

Sent to Lily Valley to cure my writer’s block, I never expected an alpha hero like Miles living across the hall. Tall, dark, and mysterious, the private investigator seems like he walked right out of my romance novels. Gruff and out of my league, I can’t resist trying to seduce him. At first, he keeps his distance, but as circumstances throw us together, I discover his protective side. Now, he believes I’m in danger, and I’m wondering if he could be my real-life happily ever after—or something entirely unexpected.

Enemy Panther Next Door

He’s a powerful panther shifter who needs my rejection.

Returning home to care for my sick father, I find out I’m fated to Blayne Walker—the last person I want. Blayne blames me for his twin brother’s death, and I used to date Sean, which only makes things worse. We both agree to fight our bond; Blayne would rather endure rejection than be tied to someone he hates. But when hunters target him and I’m caught in the crossfire, his protective instincts kick in. Now, Blayne’s panther isn’t so willing to let me go after all…

A different take on shifters. A page turner and a thoroughly absorbing book. I loved it!

I loved this take on shifters.

If you're against a lot of good descriptive sex, maybe skip this series and author.
That would be too bad, though, as she's a wonderful storyteller whose characters drag you in and make you come back for more.
I seriously could have used a few lingerie epilogs to help see how things had ended up in all of our shifter families and their honorary dragon, but I'm still happy with the ending.
I've already read the Black Claw Dragon series and loved it.
My plan now is to go and research all of Roxie Ray's other books out there.
I'm hoping to find a few more to read as I like her style.
Give this author a chance.
Totally worth it.

Simplistic and fun, but frustratingly femme, paternalistic

These stories were cute and fun. Laughed more than a few times at how simplistic the women's lives were portrayed. I was disappointed they all became powerful shifters and then continued to nap off their emotions instead of like, training themselves to battle alongside their mates for their children's lives and freedom. Seriously, Hailey , you are a freaking dragon. Get in the freaking sky and burn somebody. You're an enormous bear shifter, April, you're not even babysitting, where are you? They forgot to write Ava's personality, but she made a lot of salads.

wtf… dnf

The story wasn’t too badly written. But there were plot holes.
FMC Harley she finds out her bf is cheating and ends up sleeping with the MMC Tate, they have unprotected sex. One night stand type of deal by morning he is gone she never even got his name.
After she goes to clinic to get tested for stds. But not for the morning after pill??? Her ex is pissed that she broke up with him and his behavior gets progressively bad so she moves her and her kids, whose father was killed, by her now ex bf, and before she does she realizes she hasn’t had her period. Takes a test and you guessed it pregnant, and she’s surprised?
Not only that but she doesn’t know who the father is cause apparently she was having unprotected sex with bf too but depending on how far along she is it’s not likely the ex’s. When she moves lo and behold her neighbor is her one night stand and the baby daddy.
He does not react well to her moving in. And treats her like crap but there is a lot going on so he is suspicious of her moving in. Her realizes she is his mate, how did he miss that?! And then learns she is pregnant with his kid.
She does what a lot of women do when they are pregnant with a guys kid and despite treating her bad she decides to give him a chance.
After something happen he learns that a witch cursed him and his friends to seek out their mates who will likely all be human which doesn’t ever happen and they must mate these women or die and mating them will turn them into shifter putting their lives in jeopardy by making them targets of hunters.

I could look past all of the inconsistencies but when the MMC and his 3 friends who were cursed talk about what to do to break the curse, one of them asks if they could kill them to break the curse. And for me that is a full stop hell no. You find out you have a mate and have a connection that will draw you to finding her and even if she is literally an intangible concept at that moment your first thought is can I kill my mate to save our lives????!!!! That is disgusting, disturbing horrifying and extremely selfish and self centered. And if I found out I had a mate and that was their first reaction it will be instant rejection on my part. It is unforgivable. There would be no coming back from that. I would literally be ok with rejecting him and letting the curse kill him after turn about is fair play right? And that completely ruined this story for me and I could not finish, did not want to finish it.

3.5⭐️

Secret Shifters Next Door is a fun, lighthearted shifter romance series that’s perfect for when you want an easy, quick read without too much drama or complexity. The alternating POV chapters add variety, but the characters lack a lot of depth. Expect some clichés and a bit of repetition, as the formula stays similar throughout the series. Unfortunately, the spelling and grammar mistakes were distracting at times, but if you can look past that, the series delivers a charming, trope-filled escape.

Book 1: ★★★½
A great introduction to the world of shifters and humans living side by side. It sets up the tone for the series — fun, flirty, and uncomplicated. The romance is sweet, and the alternating POV helps keep things engaging. While not overly deep, it’s enjoyable if you’re in the mood for something light.

Book 2: ★★★½
This one builds on the shifter-human dynamic introduced in Book 1, bringing in a fresh pairing to keep things interesting. However, the conflicts start to feel predictable, and some scenes echo what we’ve seen before. Still, the pacing is good, and it stays true to the fun tone.

Book 3: ★★★½
Probably the most entertaining of the bunch for me. By this point, you know what to expect — and that makes it easier to just enjoy the ride without waiting for big twists. The romance feels slightly more developed here, and the POV shifts keep the story lively.

Final Book: ★★★½
A satisfying enough conclusion, but not particularly memorable. It ties up the overarching threads neatly without delivering anything groundbreaking. If you’ve enjoyed the first three books, this one gives you closure in the same lighthearted, easygoing style.

I may finally gotten Kindle Unlimited, and this was the series I started with. I would review every book individually, but it would be easier as a whole.

First, every single story was different, yet they were linked together. Due to a witch's curse each of the four friends were to find their mate and if they didn't except them, they'd die. I think she was hoping they'd all die, but it's hard to fight a mate...even if she is human.

The forced proximity of each human mate was almost humorous, and the overall storyline was suspenseful and action-packed. However, the evil man behind all the crazy stuff that happens is a little more difficult to discover, but the road to discovery is well worth the wait.

If you like shifter romances with non-stop action, I definitely suggest you try this one!

A very good read

This collection of stories was action packed! It was better reading it as the collection as you got the full effect of the whole story line from Ararat to finish, although it was a long read. What kept it engaging was that as the story continued the character viewpoint changed as we moved through the different books and saw each MMC story come to life. The plot was good, the story and the level of action kept it entertaining and interesting, the character development was good and there were times where I was invested in the story right beside the character, feeling what they were feeling. A very good read indeed, one to put in your TBR list or just go ahead and jump right into reading it!

Overall, a good read

There's a lot to like, but there's also a lot of weird conflicts. First of all, nobody seems to have proofread the third story. There are many missing words that make you have to go back and reread and figure out which words are missing to make things make sense. But even besides that, there are conflicts in and between the stories. This set of stories seems to start in the middle rather than at the beginning. We've missed all of the part about the first guy and the witch. Also, there's a lot left hanging. Like, did anybody ever go check on all those people that were being tortured in the warehouse? Did anybody ever rescue them? They're never mentioned again. But if you can overlook all that, they are sort of cute, sweet stories.

DNF I keep expecting these to be good and this story wasn’t bad, which is why I gave it two stars instead of just one. I just couldn’t finish it. I just could not care less about the characters. The main female character was awful. A single mother with two teenage daughters at home, in New York City and she thinks it’s OK to go to a bar, get drunk and go hook up with some guy, barely making it home in time before they woke up and discovered she hadn’t been there. And then they talk about how she’s a good mother. No. She in fact, was not a good mother. Especially having unprotected sex with a stranger and getting knocked up. I swallowed most of this down hoping the book would get better and finally at chapter 17 I just couldn’t take it anymore.

Loved it

This series is fantastic. I hope that you will write more in this series. Your talent as a writer is unbelievable. The way you described the alphas was and what happened to them and their meeting and the way they became a family shows what a great artist you are. The story line was very interesting and kept me up nights to see what was going to happen next. The courage you put in for the women for their mates was fabulous. You surprised the guys by doing that and made them realize that their mates were just what they needed . Please continue the series. Your talent is the best. I have many of your books and have enjoyed all of them.

Four Shifter Stories

This is a very good series about a ‘Pack’ of four different alpha shifters; a dragon body guard (Tate), a grizzly security specialist (Steff), a wolf IT specialis (Miles), and a panther IT specialist (Blayne). Each have lost their pack for different reasons and started a successful security company together. In each story one shifter finds their human mate. This happens due to a spell set by a very powerful witch, Emily. It was done to try to destroy them. Each story can stand alone but to get the best from these, read in order. There are many grammar errors but they do not deter from the story. Read and enjoy.

SECRET SHIFTERS NEXT DOOR THE COMPLETE BUNDLE ROXIE RAY

4 books in one read on Kindle unlimited

This was a great shifter romance series. I personally loved each of the couple and felt drawn into their individual stories and we'll as the over all story line.

Each woman brought to the table a unquestionably unique story hook, baby, old lovers, and old enemies. Multiple tropes are in this book, grump cinnamon roll Alpha males fates by curse to lovely ladies that need just a little extra tlc. From ex boyfriend drama, celebrity statues turned sour to mafia. It has something for everyone.

I took my time with this, it was all four books in one.

The writing is good, I did put it down and read other things between each story, to digest.

The dynamics of four different types of shifters forming a pack, and keeping each other sane is a good way to have diversity in the story lines, but honestly.....the women/who all became wives in this story were a bit ..... useless.

By the time the big final battle occurs, I would have expected two of the three wives to be there to fight along side their men? The pregnant one of course....no.....but they became shifters....right....but that was the end of their storyline?

Secret Shifters

I really enjoyed this book. This story continues with each shifter finding their mate and how each couple had their own story but the story telling of the perils that they all faced flowed along with no interruption until it all climaxed at the end. I enjoyed the ending a lot.
I do recommend that it be read by individuals over 18 because of the nature of the violence and sex portrayed. It wasn't overwhelmingly written, so no triple X attached!
I would definitely read again.

Overall a good story, or stories I guess. Kind of cool it is all in one book. So many writing mistakes in the kindle version. Like sentences that don’t make sense because a wrong word was used or missed a word completely. Kind of took away from the flow of reading. Example: like using the word soap instead of soup. Or saying switching up the point of view in a sentence.

But the story was good so I finished it. Just need a better editor or someone that is a slower reader like me to find mistakes.

This is the series of 4 books, each focusing on a different alpha shifter.
The basic story is really nice, a witch puts a curse on a beautiful town so all the shifters are mated and have to find and bond with their mate - or be rejected by them - or die.
Lots of twists in the different tales.
Some more editing needed in some areas due to the story flowing faster than the English grammar.
A good storyteller but it got too dark for me.
The story could have been a really enjoyable cozy but instead is a dark romance.
Generally well written, just too dark for me.

This set of shifter books Was well written

It's nice to have A box set where you go from 1 story to the next story And yet the whole theme of the various books was the big showdown. The character the characters were well written and well defined And you really felt like you got to know them with each book. I liked the. The story I like the way Everything meshed together quite well.

I've recently fallen into a Roxie Ray rabbit hole and I've read series after series. This one is by far the best!! The story develops so well, with a pending threat through all the series with all the incidents connected and culminating into a all out war. The other series I've read didn't have this level of overarching story line and even thought they were good, this series is a game changer. I'm impressed!

4 shifters and their human mates

This series is great. I already loved the author's other series, and this was just as good. Tate, Steff, Miles, and Blayne are sexy alphas who've been rejected from their packs when they're cursed to wind up with human mates. Harley, April, Celine, and Ava are all well written characters and it's easy to root for all the protagonists. There's a lot of action and drama, but nothing that makes it too hard to keep reading.

great characters

These were great stories. Ava and Blayne’s was heartbreaking. I did have a little trouble with Steff andApril’s story. Didn’t flow as easily and had a few inconsistencies. The biggest was Steff briefly thinking Aiden might be his kid, realizing he wasn’t old enough, but then later in the story we learn they never had sex back then. Seriously? That makes no sense. Why would he even think he was his if they never had sex?

Secret Shifters Next Door

Oh my!! What a wonderful surprise these books were. These stories were well written and so heartfelt. I've never read anything by this author but will highly recommend her after reading these books. Strong adoring males who protect their mates but don't over do it but you get all the best "feels".
I really enjoyed the fact that different species of shifters were together and were close friends AND everything was a happily ever after.

Dragons, Bears, Wolfs, and Panthers OH MY!!!

I love this author and the way she gives her characters lots of attention to detail. This book had all four shifters stories, let's just say Roxie didn't disappoint! I mean for sure sometimes I wanted to scream and pull my hair out but you know that angst has to happen to make it real!!! No disappointments with this book!! Grab it now and start your journey on an awesome ride!!

Amazing read

I enjoyed these books so much. It was such a pleasant story. This book was filled with love, adventure, happiness, and tears. Each character was its own story. How it was told by each characters point of view made you feel like they were telling they own story as if they were writing in their personal journals. If you like shifter stories then this a great one to read.

Im tapping out at 75%. this isn't what I would normally do.... but I cant anymore. every story is the same. all close proximity they all fight the bonding. im over it. miles and Celina were the best ones, for sure! and I really didnt like Steff and April. Tate and Harley were ok, I liked that he claimed her daughter's so easily and that we saw their little boy in future stories.

the spice was poorly described, and some of the language was cringe.

This series was great. If you're looking for sexy, possessive shifters who didn't realize their life was missing their fated mate then look no further. This series follows 4 shifters who are all "cursed" to find their fated mate in the unlikeliest of places. At the same time they're also being hunted. With lives on the line, this series will take you through all the feelings and the ups and downs.

This series is completed no cliffhangers or waiting for the next book!

Love love LOVE!!

I love the premise. I love the spice. The only thing I don’t like was that by the third book I started getting a little bored. It was almost like a copy paste of the storyline, just changing names and a couple things that happened. I was able to predict what was going to happen.

Overall I’d say it was a 4.5 star set of books.

I did get lost in these, I just started checking what page I was on a lot more after page 800-900

Secret Shifters Next Door complete series

Really liked the plots in each book. Characters were relatable and was a good read, kept me wanting to get to the end. There were a few places in each story where someone didn't proof read it and those spots where sentences had extra words as if two sentences were combined but not reread, pulled me out of the story just enough that I paused and then continued on. All in all a really good read.

Loved this series!!

The series was excellent. The characters you created with men that you wanted to see happy. Each book was written with mystery, romance, emotions, and very evil people. I loved just rolling through all four books waiting for the happy ending. I rate all four books a 10.

Dragons, Shifters, Curses, oh My!

Absolutely Loved this series. Each character is carefully thought out. The curse creates unique situations, love, danger, villains, brotherhood, vengeance and peace. It's a "can't put down" series. Not your typical shifter story. Highly recommending!

Brilliant series

Rosie Ray is a very talented author that brings the stories to life. Four books with four different shifters, all friends who are business partners in a small town which has been cursed by a witch, but the curse doesn't work as is supposed. Lots of angst, action, love and fated mates. Great read.
