To Piper Anderson, fate has always been that unavoidable circumstance that befalls a person. Some people are destined to be happy, and others, like Piper, have a rougher road. Each time she tries to step off her predetermined path in search of happiness, someone or something drags her back to it. Heartbroken after Bobby allows his own past to come between them, Piper is eager to leave Edenville behind. With Jules as her companion, she heads back to New York, the place where it all began, in search of a piece of her history that isn't tarnished. Although finding the truth isn't nearly as difficult as Piper imagined it would be, she can't shake the feeling that what she has discovered may be too good to be true. Can Piper find what she is looking for and finally change her own fate? And will Bobby be a part of her new life?
Writing is a way to make a lot of different people do exactly what you want them to do. When I can’t get my toddler to listen to me, I turn to my characters. They always cooperate!
I currently live in Charlotte, North Carolina with my husband and seven year old son. I have perfected the ability to write in a noisy house and create story lines while folding laundry.
Ten Things to know about me:
1. I have a fear of whales. All whales. The noise they make. The sight of them (even on tv). I don't think this phobia has a name and I've never met anyone else who feels this way. I blame it on the 3D movie when I was 7 at the Boston Museum of Science. (Thanks Dad.)
2. When I get hungry it brings out the worst in me. My friends and family know to keep me well fed. They pack snacks now.
3. I can cook but not bake. Not even a little. Not even a box of brownies.
4. If there is a song I like it is normal to hear me listening to it a hundred times (give or take) in a row.
5. I do not, under any circumstances, read directions. Who has time for that? Making mac & cheese by the seat of my pants for the last 25 years.
6. Like a black-out drunk, I have lost hours of my life mysteriously to Pinterest. If you haven't tried it yet... don't. Save your self.
7. Before I became a mother, lots of things grossed me out. Now nothing does.
8. My favorite food is food... my least favorite food is no food. I love food. (apply the same rule to wine)
9. I do not have a green thumb. I have the kind of thumb that kills any type of plant ever given to me. Whatever kind of thumb that is... I have it.
10. Writing has changed my life. Not just the career it's created but the way I feel when I write. If you have something you love to do I hope you get the opportunity to do it.

First, let me say I am so upset...there is no way to give this book more than 5 stars. It's just not enough!!! I started this series a few months ago with "Chasing Justice", I continued it with "Cutting Ties" and today I finished it with "Changing Fate". There has been no other book I have read this year that has hit home for me more than this one.
The people in this book are no longer characters they are family. I want to know more about them, I want to invite them to my home for dinner, I want to sit on the front porch with them and look at the lightening bugs as we drink sweet tea; but more importantly I want their love and I damn sure want them on my side when it seems the odds are totally against me.
Piper....life for her hasn't been easy, but survival is her middle name! Bobby....sometimes your plastic bubble just needs to be burst and the rose colored glasses have to come off! Jules....talk about a ride or die chick! A BFF for life! Michael....don't ever judge a book by it's cover! Betty....a voice of reason, someone to call it as they see it and the glue to keep them all together!
Danielle Stewart has done an amazing job with investing in her characters and making you invest in them as well. She is truly someone special. She has in 226 pages given closure to a lifelong time of pain, hurt, failure, loss and longing. She has done it through humor, mystery, intrigue, fear, pain, romance and the use of something as simple as words.
No matter what you are reading now, I implore of you.....please read Changing Fate, but first read Chasing Justice and Cutting Ties. An unforgettable series, an amazing family, an ending properly done.
boy Danielle, now I'm ready for Jules baby girl, her wedding and Betty's romance with Clay not to mention the wedding of Bobby and Piper. I simply loved this book and couldn't wait to get to the end. I pick up your books and can't put them down. I'm so glad Piper found her father and her new found family, but I'm sure there is more to tell there also. Not to mention Bobby's brother Jedda and his sister. Wow Danielle you have your work cut out for you with your next book. I enjoyed the story of all these characters and the trouble they got in and out of, not to mention the romance. I know I didn't tell you a lot about this story, but believe me I hope you can tell I'm excited for the next book. Buy this one and read it you will love it as much as I do. Hopefully you have read all three because it ties you into all the people. great book and good read
love this series. Piper, Bless her heart, has been through hell. She had a horrible childhood , with a deranged father whom tried to torture and kill her more than once. I admired our strong she is, she kept moving forward and learned to open her heart again. In book 3 Piper and Bobby started out being broken up because of their of differences of right and wrong. Piper believes there are lots of grey areas where Bobby believes everything is Black and White. Both of their childhoods led them to that conclusion. Bobby found out that his childhood memory wasn't exactly as it seems which makes him even more determined to prove he is right. Piper and Jules leave North Carolina to find Piper' s biological father. Jules has reasons for leaving that I never saw coming. Jules is great character, she is small town girl that is dramatic, but she loves wholeheartedly. She was hilarious to read about. Jules' s mother Betty, was another wonderful character, she was warm, loving, strong, funny, wise, caring, forgiving, supportive and understanding. This was a wonderful book filled with Romance and Suspense. I highly recommend this book. My review can be found at http://booksbooksmorebooks.blogspot.c...
I've held off being able to write my review because how does one put into words to accurately convey what a book, or series in this case, that has greatly taken hold of your life in the best of ways means to you? Where the book characters become actual family members to you, you love them with your whole heart, where you truly connect with them on a deep personal level, where you feel you're actually IN the story, where small things throughout your real life daily living remind you of them? Perhaps the reminder is a song, a word, a location, a sign, a person?
I first fell totally in love with Chasing Justice, then along came Cutting Ties where I fell more in love, then came Changing Fate where I am just blown away at the total brilliance of Danielle Stewart's writing of this ENTIRE series. She takes you deeply into each of the characters and settings. You feel like she is writing snip-it's of YOUR life!
I have never ever felt such a strong connection in my entire life of reading as I have with THIS series by Danielle. No author tops Danielle in my opinion, and that includes ALL well known authors, and I have been an avid reader my whole life so trust me I have read many of them.
In Changing Fate, Danielle captured every emotion possible for me, an avid reader. There was intrigue, mystery, hope, sadness, delight, surprise, anger, laughter, love, romance. There were no moments in the book that I knew or expected what would happen, as happens in most books. There were times throughout this series, and especially with Changing Fate that I felt Piper and me were the same person with the emotions or situation SHE was going through. I get so choked up with emotion just thinking of this book. I've highlighted several sections of the book that are so very special and dear to me. The story flowed absolutely beautifully and flawlessly. To me, not only was Piper's fate changed, but each character's fate was changed.
I don't like to give away specifics about what goes on in a book in my reviews for those that haven't yet read a book. However, I MUST say this. There is a sentence in Changing Fate that says "Things will be different, Piper. Everything is different now, because you aren't alone anymore." Piper, you AREN'T alone anymore because since Danielle first published and brought you to us, Danielle's readers have been with you in EVERY step of your journey, along with the rest of the crew.
If I could shout from the rooftops to have everyone in the entire world read this series by Danielle, I most certainly would. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I most certainly would. This book is an absolute MUST READ!!!!
Danielle, I adore you. You are my ALL TIME FAVORITE AUTHOR!!! You are magic in your writing and have an incredible gift you bring to us. Thank you for bringing these folks into our lives and keep on writing girl!
It will come as no surprise that I LOVED this book but what may surprise you is that I loved this one even more than the others– and that is saying a lot because Chasing Justice and Cutting Ties are awesome!
The Piper Anderson Series by Danielle Stewart is so much more than just stories…they are life. All of the books deal with something that a lot of people feel is out of the average person’s control. Justice is sometimes not just, your past can haunt you, and fate may seem to be “unavoidable”. Piper, the main character, proves that all of these things can be conquered. Justice can be served, your past can be left in the past, and Fate can be changed.
I love the quote from Piper in Changing Fate, “Fate is not just some unavoidable circumstance that befalls a person. It can be shaped, it can be chosen, and it can be changed. And that’s exactly what I plan to do.”
Changing Fate is about Piper discovering who she can be when life isn’t constantly knocking her down. She discovers a new “family” and that in itself has its own set of problems and drama. The book is also about her learning to be grateful for the good and bad that has occurred in her life because it leads her to a new “happy beginning” where she can finally not only survive life but learn to live it.
Changing Fate has drama, mystery, suspense, and romance. Many of the characters from the previous books join Piper and have their own issues to resolve during the story. We also get to meet some great new characters. This is one of my top series to recommend. I believe in the author and the books and know that I am recommending a quality reading experience for all readers when I tell them to buy these books.
I loved this book, well actually I loved the whole series. Also, I am looking forward to Betty's Journal, so that I can catch up with what is happening in the lives of all these wonderful characters, Piper, Bobby, Jules, Michael, Betty and Clay. Danielle Stewart, has a way of pulling you in and making you feel like you know the people you are reading about personally. This whole series was emotional, dealing with tough topics, but for me, this book was the most emotional. I laughed and I cried, and I found myself in awe of Piper. She stays strong, even when life just keeps beating her down. She has a huge heart, and I am glad to know that she finally got her happy beginning. I know that her and Bobby will have a wonderful life together, even if it did take him a while to get his own feelings sorted out, so that he could finally be the man that Piper needs. I hated to see the series end, but I love the way it did.
I have become addicted to the Piper Andersen series. I bought this book as soon as it became available on Barnes & Noble and read it within a day.
In Changing Fate, Piper and Julie have left Edenville for New York in order for Piper to try to find some answers to her past. Through a series of adventures, she discovers she has a whole new family. Bobby also has been busy discovering new things about himself. After trying to live with himself after what happened at the end of Cutting Ties, he is searching for answers too.
Danielle Stewart introduces so many new characters that I thought I might need a list to keep them straight. I'm hoping that there is more to come in this series. I'd love to see what becomes of the whole group. This series is highly entertaining with adventure and romance tied together with a female main character who isn't a pushover.
Danielle has done it again. I laughed and cried a lot. Piper has been thru so much in her life. She deserves her Happy Ever After. But before that can happen she is heading to New York to find her father. Hopefully her journey will have a happy ending and reunited her and Bobby. Bobby has molded his life around something that happened when he was a kid. Now he is questioning that decision and the only way to find the answer is to talk to everyone that was involved. What will he learn and will it help him forgive himself? Piper deserve her happy ever after and Bobby is the only one who can give that to her.
This is the best series I have read hands down!! I loved everything about it! Poor Piper has been through hell and back and I'm so glad in Changing Fate she finds her way! This story had me in tears...with the first two books it was more suspense but with this one... You get to see friendships and family grow! It was just a wonderful story!!! I'm sad to see Piper and Bobby's story end ! However with Betty's stories coming soon I bet it's going to be laugh out loud funny!! Ahh I loved Betty!!! Everyone should have a Betty in their life !!! If you haven't read this series you are missing out on an amazing adventure that only Piper and the gang can take you on:)
Wow what a great book in the series. I loved every minute I read the book. It was yet again another well written book. I cannot wait for the next book as I love Betty so it will be great to read her book and after the little teaser at the end of this book I really can't wait.
Do yourself a favour and read this book but make sure you start at book 1.
Absolutely loved this book. Perfect conclusion to the series....true to form, loaded with twists and turns. I loved this series so much I'm sad it's over....Piper and Bobby's story is loaded with suspense, mystery and so much love. The ending seemed slightly rushed, and would have enjoyed a bit more details in the epilogue, but overall enjoyed it!
Loved this series very much! Piper is one very strong woman who just wants to belong. She has a long journey but finally finds what she has always wanted...a family. Danielle Stewart is a great author and I hope there are more books in this series.
I wanted to review the first 3 books together because Piper and Bobby's story was told by the end of the third novel. Piper is one of the strongest and most damaged characters I have ever read about. Her story did not start out well as she grew up in a neglectful and abusive home in which her parents only cared about where the next big score was coming from. Piper had little hope of escaping her brutal childhood when she ends up in Edenville, North Carolina. She witnesses and injustice just outside of her window but she has been bred to not trust the police because of her horrific childhood so when she witness a judge abusing his power she sets out to bring him down on her own. She then meets Bobby who has had his own share of baggage from childhood. He is a cop who believes in the law and one single incident from his childhood has shaped him to believe that everything is black and white and the law can help you if you put your faith in it.
As their love story unfolds Piper and Bobby never stopped loving each other and the fact that Piper learned to love at all is remarkable because she was the most damaged and never knew love until she met Betty, her drama queen daughter Jules, Michael an attorney she had met before the others and of course Bobby.
Bobby is forced to make a decision that goes against everything he believes in in order to save Piper. He struggles with his indecision and that leads him on a quest of his own with Piper in tow.
Jules and Piper have become best friends and together they are a force to be reckoned with. Jules is kidnapped by a serial killer and had the scar to prove it. She and Piper take off to New York to find Piper's real dad. With Bobby in tow, unbeknownst to Piper.
They get into more trouble up there but ultimately their find a way back to each other. Jules and Michael as well. Michael and Jules star in their own adventure later on in the series.
Better is Jules' momma and she is a hoot! I loved her the minute she showed up in the first book, Chasing Justice. She spouts out wonderful pieces of advice through out the series, she is a true gem and honestly everyone should have a Betty of their own.
Stweart writes in Flowers in the Snow "Most people would look at Piper and find her to be unemotional and maybe even cold. She never really cried, she never yelled, and she rarely make something out of nothing. But Betty knew inside Piper were all the same feeling and emtions the rest of the world had. She'd just built a stronger cage to keep them in. Sometimes I wish my cage were a bit stronger as I am more like Jules.
I loved the trilogy because it was full of zany characters, sage advice, and had lots of twists and turns that kept me glued to me seat. It also had funny moments which were needed as there were at least for me lots of heartbreaking moments as Piper and Bobby's story unfolded. There were tears too and a lovable dog named Bruno who seemed to heal Piper in a way than no human could. In fact Bruno charmed many but remained loyal to Piper. Honestly as times Bruno stole the show.
I found Ms. Stewart's first book "Chasing Justice" in my daily email from Bookbub and it was free. I got so engrossed in the story as well as the characters that I went on to read Books 4, 5, 6 and 7. I am now looking forward to the spin off series and still have to read Sydney and Chris' story. Chris has a role in "Changing Fate, well really we meet him in the first of the series and find out more about him but what he does in this story was well you will just have to read it because I don't want to spoil it.
Things in this life are not all black and white and Ms. Stewart write about good and evil people and how some aren't all good or all evil just like in life. Her books left me with things to think about and I know that I will enjoy reading the spin off series. I will read these books again.
I only read this to finally find out how the story ended. Everything seemed a little too easy, simple. Michael and Bobby did one 'undercover' meeting with some dangerous criminals and 'poof' everything was sorted. Sorry just didn't buy it.
And one second Bobby still can't be with Piper and the next he can't let without her and all is forgiven. Same for Michael and Jules. He just forgives her for running away rather than talking.
Sorry this was just not for me. The writing seemed to lose some of its depth, the story seemed to be written so simply. It lacked any suspense.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I have been so involved in all the characters and their life. This story is of love courage and families and heartbreak too.But it has so many twists in it and the end is always different then you think. An excellent book about survival in the midts of tragedy.
I haven't read the first two , this was a good story line with a twist that you do not see coming , Piper and her friends go to New York looking for answers , what they each find for themselves will truly change their lives , Fate has a way of getting you to where you need to be bad or good .
I figured out the plot pretty early in the book. The only real surprise was Jules pregnancy. I was hoping for more after the first two books of the series.
I Loved this book. Actually I have enjoyed all of Danielle's books. She is able to pull you into the story and makes it very hard to put the book down.
Piper Anderson has you chasing her from book one. She met Bobby the cop there, that we learned in book two had his own skeletons in his closet. In book two we left off with Piper and Jules hoping in a car and leaving for New York in search for her real father as she found out the father that had abused her all her life was in fact not her real one. Without giving allot away, lets just say, you will find yourself reading this book without wanting to put it down. Jules is confronted with her own turning point in her life and in her relationship with Michael. During her turmoil, she ends up shutting him out, and he doesnt understand why she is putting his calls to voice mail. In the meantime, they search for her real father and low and behold find him off the bat..Now one wonders what will happen the rest of the book! Which opens another can of worms. We learn more about Bobby's parents, Jedda, and his sister. Well Danielle did not disappoint us at all! Wow, one skeleton unfolds after another as another character is introduced in to book. The story unfolded and ended so well that I can't wait for Betty's journal to be released next!! Kudos!
In this book where Piper went to chase for her roots, I find that Jules and Piper was really a good tandem. They balance each other out. The emotions that Piper need a little more learning, Jules was overflowing with it and vice versa. So I guess, it was perfect to have Jules be with Piper on this quest.
The first two books had me all emotionally and mentally invested that in this book I am a little bit cynic. I know there’s more with what I am reading that’s why I have learned to raise my guard. The only question is, why is Piper isn’t doing the same?
I had all kinds of thoughts to what it might be and I was surprise when I found out what exactly it was. And once again, I felt proud of Bobby and Michael for the length they are willing to go for the sake of their love ones. Betty on the other hand who have always give the humor side of story was another surprise that I welcome in this book.
After the roller coaster ride since book 1, with Changing Fate, I felt that Bobby and Piper was indeed opening the door to a happy beginning.
3.5 stars as this series comes to a close. This final book wraps it all up, well, mostly.
Piper just doesn't seem to get a break. She thought she'd found the family she always hoped for, but fate just can't let it happen. Bobby is so entrenched in his black and white world that he's not sure he can reconcile anything else. Both are on a journey to find answers to questions they need answered before they can move on. Will the answers allow them a future together or will it make them realize that fate is determined to separate them forever?
Once again, you'll find answers to things you didn't know that you didn't know. This is a fast paced book that doesn't draw things out for the sake of drama. All in all, this is a good series with lots of twists and turns. While it didn't have me on the edge of my seat it did keep me entertained and reading, anxious to find out how it would all be resolved.
Danielle Stewart is one of those writers that's blessed with improving over after each and every book. Changing Fate is just.. wow. That's all I can say is .. wow! It's a great GREAT read. Like the other books there were times to scream at the characters, laugh at them, and even cry over the things that were said and done. Things they couldn't stop and things they could. Lessons some of us all need to remember even! But I'm just glad that Pipper gets her Beginning because she definitely deserves it!
If you haven't read these books then I highly suggest you do!
this book is book 3 in the Piper Anderson series by Danielle Stewart, OMG her book get better and better, i was hooked by the first sentance, this book follows great from the other 2 books, Piper and Co end up in new york all to support Piper but they all end up on their own life journey too, this book touch all my emotions, one minute i was laughing the next i was crying, one minute i was curled up the next sat on the edge of my seat, congratulations Danielle another fantasic book, can't wait for book 4 and anything else you write.
This is the 3rd in the Piper Anderson series, and yes, I have read all three in the last 24 hours, so I think I can safely say they are fast and fun reads with lots of plot twists and relationship development. This one is set in New York City as Piper goes looking for her natural father. Of course nothing goes easily for her, so there are a few things to work out before she can enjoy having one parent who is not a drug addict or a murderer. And of course things continue to change for all of the characters. This is not great literature, but it is entertaining.
This was such a brilliant read I couldn't put it down loved how there was mystery and love rolled together and in this book comes with a lot of answers from all the questions you have about the whole group and you get to form more of your own opinions as well and of course Betty is in the thick of it god that woman is a saint and I'm glad that I have came to love all of the characters even Chris yes even him loving this book of the series so far more to come
Piper goes to New York to find out about her mom and her family. Jules goes with here and has some unexpected news for Piper. I enjoyed the twist that were including in the book that I was not expecting especially about Piper's real dad.
I do recommend this book and the other two in this series.
This Piper Anderson Series by Danielle Stewart gets better and better .. Oh Boy I was hooked by the first few pages.. I felt as if I really am part of Betty's extended family.. the book again has suspense...romance... and is so funny at times... I have loved this series so much...Go start reading this series.. you will enjoy I can guarantee..
