Lucy was born not created. Now the very existence of humanity is resting on her. Having fallen from the Above on her own will, she seeks out those who would seek to destroy everything that was created. She lands in the Western Province and is taken to the Elder Devil there, Deveraux where she beseeches his help. Through a forbidden pact that will damn her for eternity, Lucy and Deveraux fight their way through the Above and Below to restore everything to what it always was. But can an angel and a devil really trust each other even when bound together by lust and determination?

This is the first book that I have read by Yolanda Olson, but it won't be the last! I enjoyed this story from start to finish and devoured it in just a few days. This book packs a punch!! It contains all of the needed elements to make it successful and there is so much going on in the story that it leaves you breathless, puzzled and intrigued throughout. The scenes in the book are described in such great detail it is amazing. The descriptions of hell were graphic enough that I had clear images in my head of just what we were slogging through in the underworld section by section. I could literally smell the smells that the author was talking about as I read the book. It was just like being a part of the story.
The story contains angels and devils, good and evil (which isn't as clear cut as we think) in a wonderful story line with a few great twists and turns along the way! Just when you think you have something figured out you are most likely wrong and there is more to the story! There was some steamy romance (but not too much that it over powers the story) and literally hell to pay to get Dev & Lucy where they want to be! I think that the author needed to work on her character development just a bit more, as there were some questions that I had while reading the book and that is why I didn't go with a solid 5 star rating, but rather a 4. I would have liked to know more about Lucy and why Dev named her Lucy, as well as how she became "fallen". There were just a few brief mentions of this throughout the book.
I read a lot and can typically spot plot twists a mile away, so I love when an author is able to still surprise me. There is everything in this book that needs to be in order to make it a fun and worthwhile read: Action, love, adventure, an exciting plot, and just a touch of romance. I would add this to your TBR list and you won't be sorry, it will make a great summer read!! Overall it is a book worth reading and a book worth sharing!
Lucy, Fallen is not only the culmination of the Inferno series, but it actually combines all three parts in one handy book. I'd already read the first two/thirds previously, but it was a while ago, so I didn't skip over those parts this time around, and while I usually find re-reads to be a bit boring (except Harry Potter or anything Stephen King, I can re-read the heck out of those) because I already know what's going to happen and all that jazz, I wasn't terribly bored with these. They still drew me into the story, keeping me glued to my iPad, as Lucy and Dev forge a pact to get rid of the Thunderbirds and restore the balance between Above and Below.
It was the last third of this story that I was most anxious to read though, and it didn't disappoint. In this part we travel Below with Dev in an effort to save Lucy from the clutches of another demon. The descriptions of hell were graphic enough that I had clear images in my head of just what we were slogging through in the underworld and it's not a place I would like to visit anytime in the near future. Then there were twists in the story that I didn't even see coming, which is an awesome characteristic for me, because I read a lot and can typically spot plot twists a mile away, so I love when an author surprises me.
This is a short, but sweet paranormal romance between a fallen Angel Lucy and an Elder Devil Deveraux. With every existence of humanity, her world of angels and the devil is all in her hands. With the forbidden pact between the angels and the devils, they will save the world together. In the process of it Lucy and Deveraux fall in love. A forbidden love that neither one could stop. Lucy and Deveraux and their people fight their way Above and Below, while trusting each other.
Will they really trust each other fully? Will they give up everything for each other? Or is it all just lust that they feel for each other?
Read and find out. What I love about this story is the way Lucy and Deveraux love each other. They will protect and do anything for each other, no matter what the cause. I do love the ending, but it left me wanting more..
Yolanda write the next story soon, the story just ended way too soon. Lucy and Deveraux have so much more story left, I can't wait to read the next book. =)
I'm not usually one that leans to read paranormal stories. However, the synopsis of this one was unlike the usual stories I have come across. Good vs. Evil in a completely different representation.
Lucy is an angel and she finds herself the object of affection for Deveraux, a devil. The absolute definition of forbidden love, so it's an interesting journey as you follow their story. But it's not just the expected trials and tribulations that you expect that stand in their way. Ms. Olson throws in a HUGE story twist that has you staring at the words you've just read and wondering what the heck just happened!
I got so wrapped up in seeing where the story went that I stayed up all night just to finish this book. I've read several of the author's other books and this one is by far my favorite. Give it a read and see for yourself just how far these two will go for love.
Just finished this today! I easily gave this five stars. This story had me deeply intrigued while reading and that is because when you think you have something figured out you are most likely wrong and there is more to the story! I loved that even when the characters seem sorted out there is more to reveal. Multiple plot twists always make me love a book more. It was a great length and the story flowed amazingly. The creative nature of the stories basis is wonderful, and I definitely recommend this as a good read. I enjoyed it very much!
Easy 5 stars! I have just finished reading and I am still gob smacked! Such a powerful and gripping story, it was hard to put it down. And just as you think you know which way the story is taking you.... bang it flips you upside down! Epic plot twists that keep you wanting and needing more!
This was the first book I read by Yolanda and at first I had a hard time following but once I caught on I was hooked! Instantly fell in love and couldn't put it down! Yolanda you are awesome!
Absolutely loved this book! Amazing twist with the Devil/Angels! I could picture almost everything happening as I read it! A definite must read!! Can't wait to read Infernal Paradise 2 now!!
Number 13, falls to earth when the Thunderbirds take over heaven. She is found by one of the ruling demons, Deveraux, who has been watching her since she started coming to earth. Because of his feelings for her, he holds her prisoner and since she doesnt have a name he names her Lucy, making her his. While in her cell, a little girl demon befriends Lucy, even unhooking her chains. With the Thunderbirds loose, no one is safe, the few angels left are all in hiding. So Lucy and Dev make a bargin, to stop the birds. But when they attack Devs fortress and take the little girl that Lucy has come to care for, she will do whatever it takes to get the girl back and help her fellow angels get control of Heaven. Good and evil have to join forces to stop what could be the end of them all.
This is another great book by Yolanda Olson, she has the talent to be able to write any story and make it come to life!!!
Ahh... The old fashion theme of good vrs evil, but much to my surprise the author gives it a twist and they actually end up working together and in a very convincing way ! The book has all the classic elements : a nice setting somewhere in the middle of France or at least that's the idea I got and a tropical Island of sorts too, cool and likeable characters, I mean is very difficult not to fall in love and cheer for a handsome old as dirt with a heart devil and a sweet, tough, I-will-kick-your-ass angel, drama as there is caos and death in the world as we know it, romance, no actually forbbiden romance which is so much better, fighting against the evil and the good apparently and trips up and down from heaven to hell. While at it you get a quick crash course or recall of sunday bible school and a glimpse of Dante's inferno all together.
Yolanda has done it again. She is such a talented writer. This book was so different and intriguing. I really connected with the main characters and even some of the secondary characters. The ending was something I didn't see coming but it worked out so well. Left me wanting more.
Oh Lucy and Dev I love em. So Lucy is a angel and she has to find her brother and sister Angels. She makes a deal with the devil to find them. And just when you think you know what’s gonna happen bam twist and turns nope it’s completely different.
