A. Knightley coming in strong with the second addition to this series. Her debut Under the Lupine Moon was enjoyable but left me wanting a bit but this novella was a much stronger entry to the Silver Rapids series.

I knew she was a gonna be a favorite of mine. Her voice really shown through in this novella. The few complaints I had with her debut were almost completely nonexistent. I had nonstop fun. The kink was so well done and OMG the cozy halloween vibes were sooooo good.

If you could package sipping on hot cider around a crackling fire place with friends as the sunsets and leaves fall around you, it would be this book.

Also, I absolutely adore her acknowledgements. With both of her titles, they truly feel like a heartfelt letter directly to the reader and it is just so endearing.

I can't wait to see what Knightley does next (Sam and Silas, I'm looking at youuuuuu!)

It was so much fun to be back in Silver Rapids with Finn and Jaime. This was a fab sweet and spicy Halloween novella. I loved them getting kinky but doing it in the most authentically them way.

Also I’m going to need Finn’s cookie recipe 👀

This story has me extra excited for Silas and Sam’s story 😁😁

As a huge stan of the Silver Rapids universe, I was so excited to get back to this world with this novella... and it delivered! This was a delicious, autumnal, FUN, and sweet novella that shows an adorable slice of Finn and Jaime’s life. It has all the fun of autumn traditions tied in with my favorite characters which made it cozy, plus the high-heat of them preparing for a VERY spicy evening together.

Id say this novella is short and sweet, but its more short and spicy 🥵

I looooved Under The Lupine Moon so when I found out about a halloween novella, I was SO EXCITED! And not even close to disappointed reading it. Its short, its got tender domestic moments, its got excellent kink rep with boundaries and rules that are actually discussed (with safe words!) and some of the spiciest primal play Ive ever read. The aftercare had me swooning too!

5 stars! A.Knightley has my whole heart and bookshelf!

Obsessed with Finn and Jamie. This was a cozy slice-of-life novella and I could have read a full-length book of them just in their daily life. I loved the care and love they share and the conversations and check-ins they had before their journey into primal play. Somehow this was cozy as hell and spicy af? 100/10. I CANNOT wait for Sams book.

BY THE BLOOD MOON was extra extra spicy good lord! I loved Finn and Jaime in their full length book and it was so much fun to see more of them and see how they've settled into being mates. I loved their primal play and how much Jaime embraced Finn's more feral side and the way Finn really let go but also stayed in tune with Jaime's needs. These two were hot and sexy and tender and it was fantastic.

Also, bonus for the teasers about Silas and Sam and I'm really looking forward to book 2 now!

By the Blood Moon by A. Knightly is a must-read for all fans of Under the Lupine Moon. This Autumn Halloween-themed novella focuses on Jaime and Finn's relationship while also adding to the world of Silver Rapids both in aspects of fantasy creatures and foreshadowing more of Sam and Silas' relationship for the next novel in the series.

I absolutely adored Jaime and Finn's interactions in this. Finn's inner wolf was hilarious! I also loved all the teasing, including about things that came up in the novel, one of my favorites being this:

Finn guffawed. “Mr. Swoony Broad Shoulders? What is that?”

“It’s what I called you in my head before we met, when we were still talking through the app. It was the shoulders that did it for me, really,” Jaime said, sighing wistfully.

Finn’s eyes twinkled. “Is that so? Well, how do they hold up in reality? Are they swoony enough for you?”

😂 Ah, those two!

As with their novel, there's plenty of graphic "spice" in here. You know, pumpkin spice. 😉 But, what stood out to me is how, despite what could be scary, there's such clear communication and consent, which is so important, as well as being mindful of Jaime's trauma from the first book. This keeps things fun and just the right kind of intense.

This is a quick read, but with a lot of re-read value, making it a perfect addition to the Silver Rapids series collection. I'll end with this line that sums up the feel of the novella nicely:

Plus, he was about to be chased through the woods and railed by his hot wolfy boyfriend. Life was fucking good.

Reading this novella was everything- I’m the happiest of seeing Jamie and Finn one more time. They’re the LOVELIEST COUPLE 😭❤️‍🔥.

They just proved what a healthy relationship between partners is and how wonderful s*xuality is enjoyed or explored when you have an amazing communication with your loved one.

If you haven’t read Under the Lupine Moon yet hurry the beans up!!! And when you finish reading it, grab By the Blood Moon so you can fall more in love with them 🫶🏽.

finn and jaime are adorable. i’m here for the wolfy “mine” possessive nonsense and my god did a. knightley deliver with this adorable short.

from the halloweentown vibes, found family (pack) interactions, shameless teasing for book 2, and all the downright filthy talk (i’m looking at you finn)…this was everything i needed.

Oh this was so worth the buy to get just a little more of Jaime and Finn’s story. Their first Halloween! Ugh so cute and holy crap so very smut! Make sure you read book one! There isn’t much more to say than I loved this short story to get more of them. They are definitely characters are will live rent free. I can’t wait for book two! Please can I get it now?

What a perfect peek into the lives of our boys as they celebrate the spooky season! Finn and Jaime are as adorable and spicy as ever. I loved their holiday shenanigans of ALL types. These guys have my heart and I adore seeing their love and care for each other in action. What a great way to start Halloween celebrations!

Halloween in Silver Rapids is the best time of year!! This was such a fun read, it's perfect for a quick Halloween read. Jamie & Finn get primal with a Little Red Riding Hood inspired tryst under the blood moon. I am thoroughly jealous. It was great to get a glimpse of Silas & Sam. This was so fun!! Primal play in all its glory, and written so well with great discussion prior of what they want and making sure the other is comfortable 💕 And when they get down to it... phew, incredibly hot 🥵🥵 Super neat too how this and Emory Winters' book Paw Prints in the Sand related to each other.
