Caputo says arguments against Christian-fasting are destroyed by three words from Christ. When Jesus says in Mark 2:20, "They will fast," speaking of His disciples after His ascension, a core practice of our faith is made plain. May we embrace this act as a part of our lives until our Bridegroom (Jesus) returns!

This book revealed reasons to fast and dealt more with our spirit or inner selves to be strengthened. it describes how life affects us and how naturally we grow weary and need to be re-energized despite having a prayer and study life in God's word. it outlines our opposition and while reading it was easy to understand. Reading this resulted in a better understanding of dealing with living a Christian life and revealed an ancient weapon that will render one successful.

Good Source of Information and Inspiration

Succinct presentation of useful information on why fasting is an imperative for every Christian. But what exactly spiritual fasting means is, unfortunately, omitted. And this creates a yawning gap.
