Rate this book
As the owner of a string of successful nightclubs all over the world, Zerach can have any woman--except for his assistant Isadora O'Donnell. Isadora secretly longs for Zerach's attention but her scarred body and his playboy ways keep her from acting on her feelings. 3.5 - I'm Happy This is The Start Of A Series Stars.

When I originally finished Trusting An Angel there wasn’t a huge amount of detail as to whether the book was a standalone or the beginning of a series. Luckily Missy Jane confirmed that this is in fact the start of a series – Archangels, and there will be more books in the future.

This makes me very happy, reason being, I have a HUGE lady-boner when it comes to men with wings. Too such an extent that undergarments need to be frequently changed when I am reading a book that contains all the muscled, feathery goodness that my dirty imagination can get hold of. Missy Jane delivered in spades for me, and I am wriggling in my chair excitedly waiting for the next book already!

So without further ado let me introduce you to –

Zerachiel (Zerach) and his brothers (who I hope wholeheartedly all get their own books as the series progresses), Selaphiel, Uriel, Raphael, Michael, Camael and Gabriel. Each one plays a part (some bigger than others) in this first book, but it is Zerach and Isadora’s story as a whole.

Zerach – “I truly believe the best things in life are worth waiting for. I can wait as long as you need.”

Dora and Zerach have worked together for a while, and although Zerach has feelings for Dora he has kept his distance as he is unsure as to whether Dora feels the same, although he can sense her attraction and arousal when he is near, he is aware that Dora believes his reputation as a womaniser to be true, and she is not the type of girl that is looking for ‘just one night’. Dora however is not as innocent as Zerach believes!

If he knew even half of what went on in her head when he dictated memos he would probably fire her on the spot...or take her on his desk.

This is definitely what I would call a base book, in that it gives you Zerach and Dora’s story, but also starts building storylines for some of the other characters to get their books as the series progresses. I found in parts this story to offer a little old-fashioned charm, with a generous amount of modern day hotness thrown in for good measure!

Dora, although innocent is a strong personality, and I liked that when it came to Zerach she overcame her fear and body confidence issues to let him into her heart.

”Isadora, I’m not what I seem to be. I’m much more. Once I reveal all to you I need you to remember nothing has changed between us. I’m still the man you know.”

Zerach = Angel with a hot body and a heart of gold, need I say more!

Missy Jane has put a really enjoyable story together, I loved that each of the Angel’s is working on earth in a ‘human’ capacity that helps others in some way. We have a little mystery thrown in with Gabriel, and a building sexual tension with Rafe and Asta (a character who I hope we get too see a whole lot more of in future books). The introduction of the villain into the story was put together really well and not as I was expecting, and on the whole this was a book I had a lot of fun reading.

”Can I touch you?”...”Always.”

I took a chance on this one. I think it's because I just want an angel story to work out, finally. And on that level Missy Jane delivers—at least, insofar as it doesn't suck and the angels aren't ridiculous or cloying. She dodges much of the theological issues by giving the angels some distance or disconnect with deity and the demonic forces arrayed against them drive good action and plot/character development.

I even liked the main characters, though I couldn't help the occasional derisive snort at some of their activities. Isadora is a touch too naïve and Zerach a touch too, uh, competent to take terribly seriously. If you're willing to buy the fantasy of the righteously pure heroine and the cynical-but-noble hero coming together to form a greater whole through their union then it mostly works (I know, I didn't know I was that tolerant, either). Plus, upside, it meant Jane avoids the whole demon/angel love triangle conflict that seems an unavoidable temptation in the angel UF milieu.

Unfortunately (did you see that coming?) the book is short and the sexy times are long throwing this more into the realm of erotica than I'm really interested in. And I do mean loooong. I'm not factoring that mismatch into my rating, though, because it was an honest oversight on my part (missing the erotica cues in the marketing/cover/copy). There's a lot of plot/character for an all-out erotica offering, so this is may be on the edge of the category...

A note about Steamy: See erotica above. Lots of tasty sexitimes that... linger.

What a great start to a new paranormal romance series. TRUSTING AN ANGEL follows Zerach and Isadora as they fall in love and defeat those who stand in their way.

Zerach is a bit of a playboy that doesn't expect to settle down. He has wanted Isodora for a while but as the blurb says, she isn't one-night-stand material. He also happens to be an Angel. Isadora is as innocent as they come and her god parents seem to think that she should be used to save their business by marrying her off to Jake, someone she isn't in love with and hasn't known for many years. Her loyalty convinces her to say yes. I disliked Jake from the moment he was introduced as a character. His attitude towards Isadora and the way he carried himself sent off red flags immediately. When Zerach makes his feelings for Isadora known to hear I did a jig. They couldn't have been more perfect for each other. Both their personalities played well off each other and their romance was nicely paced and felt real.

* Warning... Minor spoiler...*

*Mild spoiler ended*

TRUSTING AN ANGEL did a really great job of introducing us to the world of the Archangels Series. Zerach's brothers are introduced and I can imagine that they will each be getting their own book and romance as the series continues. I enjoyed the authors writing and I plan to check out her back list.

I don’t know if it’s a throwback to being raised Catholic, but I just can’t seem to get enough of angel-themed books. TRUSTING AN ANGEL did absolutely nothing to disavow me of that love. Before you get to the unearthly beauty/sexiness, there’s just something to be said for beings of power and knowledge without having to reconcile dark sides. And, hello, wings. I can’t get over the utter coolness of a guy with wings.

Maybe there’s a twelve-step program for me.

Angel-love aside, TRUSTING AN ANGEL was a quick read, but a fun one. Isadora was a complete delight – a virgin for reasons that are plot related rather than moral – she wasn’t mousy or full of giggles and blushes and swatting hands. There might have been an element or two about her lack of experience that pushed the borders of belief, but nothing to really detract from the story. I loved her strength apart from that inexperience, her love for her godparents, and her backbone when she needed it.

There wasn’t much I didn’t like about Zerach, or his brothers. That’s a lie – there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about them. They were serious when it was warranted, but clearly close as any family all other times, at turns teasing and tough. My other favorite character was Asta and I loved her enough to hope that she gets her own story at some point.

TRUSTING AN ANGEL was a fast read, as I said. I finished it in a night, but that didn’t detract at all from the beauty of the story. It was a tight plot, just enough menace to give it a healthy bit of action and conflict, some open doors to maybe allow for another trip into this universe, and some pretty hot sex to boot. So if you’ve been missing hot angels in your life, TRUSTING AN ANGEL might be just the ticket.

“I love you. Angel or not, super-powers or not. So long as you promise to love me forever, I’m yours.” – Isadora O’Donnell

Well, this was, for lack of better words.... spectacular! I always enjoy hot angels that may or may not fall from grace for their mortal lovers, so this series was a boon for my romantic soul.

Zerach Maxwell is more than just a club owner - he's also an Archangel, sent down to Earth with his brothers to protect the mortals from the powers of Hell. Being immortal, he knows better than to fall for one of his wards - yet, his private assistant, Isadora O'Donnell, has a unique mix of innocence and sexiness that calls to his baser instincts. Isadora has had a crush on her hot boss longer than she can remember - but she doesn't wish to be another notch on his bedpost, what with his famous playboy ways and all. When something vile in the form of a childhood friend of hers starts pursuing Isadora for its sinister reasons, Zerach will have to choose whether or not he can keep his identity a secret in order to protect the one woman who makes him think of dropping his wings.

So, sooooo awesome for a series starter! Zerach and his brothers were yummy as heck and they were all wonderful in trying to keep peace and protect humanity. They had flaws, very humanlike, but that was to be expected given their long time living among us. Zerach himself was adorable and protective. He was funny in a lighthearted way, but very intense when it came to Dora. He used the rumors of him being a flirt as a way to keep people not very close so that his secret was safe, and he was a saint when dealing with Dora's family, despite the caustic, poorly-hidden remarks and the prejudice against him. And boy, if that dry humping scene didn't burn several of my brain cells!!!!

Dora was sweet and really supportive. Of course, like any true mortal, she freaked out with most of the new information she got to learn about her boss, but she took the rest like a champ and didn't budge from Zerach's side. She had her own dark past and the scars to show for it, and I really loved her - she was the kind of feminine that doesn't grate on a reader's nerves, and that was much appreciated.

Speaking of scars, I didn't really like what Zerach did with hers. For me, they were a part of her, and he loved her with them anyway, so I didn't really see the necessity of them going away. Oh, well...

The story was a bit slow to start making sense, and for the true action to start, but I didn't mind, because it gave us time to see what was going on inside the main couple's heads and get to know that as characters. The pace picked up a bit after that, to push them closer, then slowed down again for them to understand and learn about each other better. And then... it was a spiral of action and suspense and true fear for the whole team going up against that demon! Marvelous, really!

I also loved the rest of the cast. Asta was a badass and I can't wait to read her book, demon spawn or not, and don't get me started on Cam! The dude made it into my book boyfriend list before I even had to read his book!

“Forever until the end of time. From this plane of existence into the next, I shall always love and treasure you, and pray to the Source that you will always return my love.” – Zerach Maxwell

Missy Jane Trusting an Angel by Missy Jane

Curl up on your couch, with a flashlight, and get ready to enter a world of Archangel, demons, goodness, evil and destiny!!

Zerachial Maxwell is rich and powerful, but he has a secret. He is an Archangel that lives on earth to protect humans and when necessary dispatch Demons back to hell. He is not alone with his mission, he has 6 fellow Archangel brothers to help. Zerach's human persona, this time, is a rich businessman and nightclub owner. By night, Zerach sits on rooftops and stalks the streets of Houston to watch for evil. A new evil is in town and its name is Armoros. This high-level powerful demon wants Isadora.

Isadora O'Donnell is Zerach's assistant at his Houston office. She all that is good and beautiful in his world, but she also has a secret. When she was a child, Dora was in a house fire and over 70% of her body is deeply scarred. Dora was raised but her godparents, Bill and Alice Goodman, after her parents' death. She would do anything for them, but marry Jake Deagan is asking to much. If she doesn't marry him, her godparents will lose everything.

Zerach wants Dora so much, but she is a forever kind of girl. Dora wants him, but with her scars she is scared. While searching the streets for the evil, Zerach smells demon taint all over Dora. He and his brother learn that the demon taint is coming from Jake and he won't accept Dora's refusal to marry. A war is on and Zerach will do anything to protect Dora from the evil Armoros. Is Dora ready to enter his world of Archangel, demons, good and evil? Will Zerach except her scars and all? Will he leaves his brothers for her? Can a human girl keep a Archangel forever?

I am a die hard historical romance fan because the books create a whole new world for me to enter. Ms. Jane has introduced me to her Archangel world and I loved it. My imagination went on overdrive with all the angel powers, their mission, a demonling (half demon female bartender with a serious attitude) and then there is the other sexy and tattooed Archangels, Mike, Rafe, Cam, Sel and Uriel. Ms. Jane makes this crazy world so real and easy to understand. The brothers' love for one another was a living and breathing element to this story. I am excited to read the rest of the sexy Archangels' stories and learn if Gabriel will come join the flock again. This book was a joy to read and I give it 4 fingers up and 8 toes.

This is my first time reading a Missy Jane story and I was not disappointed! I've been suffering from book hangover and needed this quick, sweet and sexy read to pull me out of my doldrums.

Zerachial is an archangel who has been living on Earth for thousands of years with his brothers to protect humans from demons that escape Hell. Zerach is a wealthy business man and has a reputation for being a playboy. Isadora is his secretary and secretly lusts after him, or so she thinks (he can tell) LOL! Her pure spirit and gentle nature call to Zerach but he refuses to give in to his desires, believing that he is keeping her safe. But after she comes into contact with her old childhood friend Jake, who has been demon tainted, Zerach realizes that he must stay close to Dora to protect her. Especially after she is blackmailed into marriage by Jake to save her godparents business. After saving Dora from an attack by Jake and spending the night to comfort and protect her, Zerach can't help falling in love with Isadora. He knows that he will have to tell her what he is really soon.

Zerach was an absolute sweetheart, so caring and gentle with Dora's fears and insecurities. I loved how he called her "precious" and "baby" all the time. But don't worry, he was still alpha enough when needed. Dora was a smart and spunky heroine. Even though she had horrible scars from a childhood accident which caused her to be insecure about her body she didn't let it consume her and make her wishy washy (which I abhor in heroines).

I really enjoyed the world that this book is set in. Even though Zerachial and his brothers are Archangels they are still allowed to become involved with humans. Yes, they are filled with goodness and will do no harm to humans but they aren't perfect. They cuss, they drink (even though they can't get drunk) and they sleep with human women. I really hope the author continues on with the series because she has definitely set up a story for Rafe and Asta. And Gabriel! OMG I absolutely want to hear more about him!

All in all I thought this was a great read, very heartwarming and yet still had enough sexy times to curl your toes. :)

Zerach has a bad reputation. He is said to be a player and owning a shady nightclubs doesn't help his matters any. He really only wants one woman and that is his assistant Isadora. He tries to keep his distance because he doesn't want to hurt her in anyway and her guardians don't like him at all. Also the fact he is an archangel and has to fight demons keeps him from getting to close to her. Isadora wants Zerach but is afraid to let him know. She knows that despite his reputation she knows he has a good heart. He donates tons of money to help those in need and is really a nice guy. When she finds she needs to marry an old friend to help her guardians safe she finds it hard to do. Demons keep popping up and Zerach must find the source. hat leads him to Isadora as she smells like demon and her new fiancé may be the one behind it. They need to open up and be honest with each other if Isadora is going to be safe and be with the man she really loves.

Zerach seems like a playboy but is really a wonder guy or angel. He helps with needy people and would give everything he had to help them. He is very sexy and very understanding and patient. He is also very tough as he has to fight demons. Isadora has had a bad past and her guardians have took care of her. She loves them and would do anything to help them. She doesn't have a lot of confidence since she has scars and she is afraid to show them. She is sweet and an innocent at heart but she does have a many sexy thoughts about her boss.

I really enjoyed this story. I know angels fighting demons isn't anything new but these characters are amazing. I love Zerach and how special he treats Isadora. He is always there to help protect her and still help his angel brothers. He has to trust her with his secret and has to do a hard thing to be with her. Isadora has to stand up for herself and do what is right for her even when those she cares about are using her. I have to say I didn't much care for her guardians. They seemed so bossy and snobby. There is some hot scenes in with the action s no worries it has a little bit of it all. Even some laughter do to a Harry Potter reference that had me chuckling. If your a fan of paranormal romance with great characters be sure to try this one.

Not your mama's angels...

Isadora O'Donnell lost her parents several years ago and while she has a trust fun and god parents who've been good to her she doesn't exactly see eye-to-eye with them on her taste in men. She has a huge crush on Zerach, her boss known for his playboy lifestyle. But if marrying Jake, the childhood friend that grew up to be a cad, is the only way to help her god parents avoid bankruptcy she's willing to give it a shot. As an archangel, Zerach recognizes Dora's innocence and senses that something is off about the man she's considering marrying. Yet if he's going to protect her that means letting her closer to him and for an angel that's a life altering thing.

Angel and demon mythologies in paranormal romance can be a bit hit-and-miss with me. They're a challenge to do with any uniqueness and rarely do angels tread that perfect line between human and godly. Jane's archangels were surprisingly well developed with both endearingly human qualities and things that kept them just a little otherworldly. I wasn't too keen on Dora at first but once I saw she had backbone I liked her a lot. Together they have sparkling chemistry and the steamy side of the storyline was gradual and quite sensual which made the build-up toward her revealing her scars very good.

I'm often a big fan of secondary characters and the other archangels were no exception. With the addition of another female character, Asta, whom I really liked it, there are hints at what the next series entry's couple will be. While this was definitely a romance the demon plot wasn't so bogged down in those elements that it lacked a sense of urgency and adventure either.

Very engrossing, with a solid world building that should expand well in further installments I really liked TAA which I was actually surprised on since I wasn't too big on another angel story. I think those who've had a track record with them like mine might find it a nice change of pace while those who love angel romances will like the new elements brought to the table.

There's a gentleness to this story that lingered even during the difficult scenes. It acted almost like an anchor, a reminder that no matter what was coming ahead everything would be okay.

I love Zerach. He's a warrior, a guardian, an archangel through and through. But the edge that comes when he goes to battle isn't always there, making his human persona more appealing. His assistant Isadora wouldn't disagree, lol. He's sweet, kind, and caring toward, but jealous, protective, and possessive of her. How Ms. Jane managed to make him all of those things is beyond me but she did a fantastic job of it.

For much of this story, there's an air of uncertainty and unease around Isadora. A past accident left some of her body horribly scarred, an issue when it comes to being intimate with a man. Especially one like Zerach. Her trepidation was obvious. Would he reject her because she wasn't perfect like the women she'd seen him with? And if they ever made it to that point, could she trust him with everything she had without running the risk of possibly ending up heartbroken?

I liked how, when the time was right, Zerach hid nothing about his true self from Isadora. He revealed what he was with words and actions, displaying his wings in all their glory for her to see, answering any questions she had. The beauty of it all was when she returned the favor by sharing her tragic past and letting him see what she looked like under all her clothes.

The most heartwarming moment in this story was when Zerach knew how far he would go to be with Isadora. Sex between angels and humans wasn't unheard of, but bonding with one was rare. But she was worth forsaking immortality for, and he didn't mind one bit.

He would be her fallen, and she would be his…everything. (153)

This is a great introduction to Ms. Jane's Archangels series. I can't wait to find out if Zerach's brothers--Michael, Raphael, Uriel, Camael, and Selaphiel--fall as well, and if their long-lost brother Gabriel comes back to them.

Trusting an Angel is just like another paranormal romance with angel theme. It's have an overused cliche, a bordering-Mary-Sue heroine, almost too good to be true hero, and a resemble to BDB (What with PNR and a merry band of heroes that so much alike BDB?). Oh, also some typos as well! This is the first time I read an Entangled title that have typos. Even I read the ARC version, usually the previous ARCs were typos free. This, make me disappointed and I hope the final version is free of errors

I have a little complaint. I just wish Zerach do not call Isadora "Dora" as his endearment, because it's remind me of "Dora the Explorer" cartoon! Better call her Isadora I think. Also, he once called her "precious". What are you? Gollum??? Please do not used "precious" as endearment because it remind me of horrid creature that have unhealthy obsession into a mere ring! (not mere actually *shrug*)

I will pass a part when Zerach constantly praise Isadora with "how beautiful she is, how pure she is, etc", even this part make me rolling my eyes. Because Trusting an Angel is Ms Jane's debut, so the writing is not too good, while it's not bad either. The story is too slow and too simple, and like I said before, too much cliche (billionaire, secretary, powerful man, innocent girl, bla bla bla)

What I like and make me intrigued is the secondary characters, like Raphael, Zerach's archangel brother and Astaroth, a half demon and human female that Zerach and his brothers first investigate for her origin but later become their family. Heck, both Rafe and Asta have more personality rather than Zerach and Isadora. I have feeling that Rafe and Asta will be a couple and their book is the next. Or maybe not. But, would love to read about them.

Trusting an Angel is..well if you want a simple PNR read and don't mind the overused cliche, maybe you will want to try it. But for me, this debut novel of Missy Jane, sadly, is easily forgettable

My thoughts:

Trusting an Angel didn't leave a hugely lasting impression, but I did enjoy reading it.

I found the premise of Isadora being pushed into a marriage a little suspect. A more subtle effort to get her into a relationship with Jake might have fit. I just can't understand the kind of demand in a contemporary setting. I know that it's a little ridiculous alongside the whole angel thing, but I found it unrealistic and off-putting. I'd rather have had Isadora's godparents manipulate situations to thrust Isadora and Jake together than be so blatant in their demands.

I did like Isadora and Zerach together, and I found her 'innocence' believable given her concerns about her physical appearance. More importantly (in the most superficial of ways), this book easily has the hottest description of angel wings that I've ever read, and I was a little disappointed this wasn't leveraged a bit more. (Also why are the tattoos not on the cover?)

I think in general the book suffered for its brevity. More attention could have been given to dealing with Isadora's personal hang-ups, more time could have been given to develop Jake's interest in Isadora and how that played out. I think the bones here are good, and the characters had me engaged, but I needed more to flesh out the experience.

I'm interested in reading Rafe's story, which I'm going to assume is coming next, so I guess that means the book was, overall, a success.

Bottom line:

This was a quick read, fun with a few areas I wish had been fleshed out more fully. It's not the strongest entry in the angels/demons romance category but it's a solid one and I liked this treatment of angels.

**At the time of this review, the book is available for 99 cents on Amazon and it's worth it at that price if you're at all interested!

I love these types of paranormal stories, love them. The whole nice regular girl working for a hot man she has been lusting forever, not ever being able to tell him how she feels only to find out he has been feeling the same way. Love these stories.

Isadora has had feelings for Zerach for a long time, but she feels that there is no chance that he would ever feel the same for her. First off Zerach is a known playboy who never goes out with a woman more than once. Second, he is Isadora’s boss.
Isadora had suffered through a house fire when she was 8 years old that has left her with both physical and emotional scars. She is also an orphan who was raised by her godparents whom she adores and loves. At a fund raiser, an old friend who she has not seen in years, Jake, approaches her and surprises her with a proposal. When she declines his proposal, he goes behind her back and blackmails her godparents to make her marry him. Isadora does not know what to do. She loves her godparents like they were her parents, but she does not love Jake. Plus, Jake has changed. He is not the same sweet boy that she had feelings for when they were younger.
What Isadora does not know is that Zerach has admired her for some time now it is just that his circumstances of being an angel has prevented him from acting on his feelings until he needs to protect her.

The premise was there, I just felt like some parts of the story felt flat. This could have been really good, but I think the writing felt very mechanical; very “matter of fact.” The characters were very likeable. I know that Zerach was an archangel and his verbiage would appear awkward at times, but that was not the issue for me. Some of it felt forced and therefore hard for me to connect.

I will pick up other books by Missy Jane.

This is book one in a series, but each one will have a HEA per couple. The author will continue with her world building, character growth, and of course the main story arc. In the start of this series, we learn of 7 earth-bound archangels, and they consider themselves brothers even if not entirely related to one another. The story centers around Zerach and how his love for her his assistant has grown, but he’s not sure how to win her over because her family does not approve of the man. No one knows him and his brothers are angels, or that they go out hunting demons that slip through rifts in the world, usually after being summoned by humans. Isadora has secretly been in love with Zerach, but she is being pressured by family to marry another man so he will save their business. We see how conflicted she is, because she does not love this man nor feel safe with him, and though Zerach and his brothers are rich, she feels awkward asking him for help instead. Though there is suspense and action, it revolves around Isadora and Zerach finally giving in to their feelings, which include some steamy scenes. And of course, Zerach and his brothers have to save her from the bad guys towards the end, but the build up is done gradually over the course of the story and it all ends satisfactorily. I can’t wait for the next brother’s story.

Zerach is the owner of multiple businesses and an archangel. His duty togehter with his brothers, is to hunt demons and try to keep the human realm calm. His secretary Isadora secretly longs for his attention but when she gets it, things are a bit different than expected.

This story was a nice read with some hot scenes. I really liked the brothers, although we don't know that much about all of them one could feel the connection between them
Zerach was a worthy hero - especially for an Angel ;)... but I had some troubles with Isadora, she seemed a bit flat - especially in contrast to the one other female character in this book
I thought it a pity that the end was so short - I expected some intense interaction between the brothers

all in all: I liked this story and I am happy that this is the start of a new series. I love the brothers and can't wait for Raphs story ... especially if it is with the heroine I expect :-)

GAH!! I was hoping something different would happen but nope…it.didn’t. Hey to each their own. I fell in love with Zerach and Dora straight away so I wanted their happiness. Even though I would have made their outcome a bit different I still believe everything is as it should be. As I mentioned earlier there are 7 brothers though on 6 are active because Gabriel has been silent for a millennia. Well we got to know Rafe the most and I’m hoping the next book is about him. I really enjoyed this book and for the price its very much worth the read. I wish it had been longer, but isn’t that always the case with good books? Either way I’m looking forward to whats next!

My Rating
4.0 Charity, Burnt Coffee, Tea Confesson, Blue Dress, Jazz Music, Chin Bruse, Mr. Stanley, Protection, Brothers, Demon, Past, Escape, Bond, Wings, Sacrifice, Ceremony, Purest of Loves filled stars!!! GAH I WANT THE NEXT ONE NOW!!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

As the start of a new series, this book had a very unique spin on your usual angel story. These angels are fighters, lovers (yes, sex happens), and protectors of the human race.

Zerach is a nightclub owner, known womanizer, and an angel. He’s been happy with his place in this world until Isadora. Dora has been his assistant for years, but it took a pre-arranged marriage (via blackmail) to really bring out Zerach’s true feelings for her. She’s a true innocent (yeah, that kind) and they seem a most unlikely pair.

The romance between them was unconventional but really heartwarming. Oh, and there’s lots of sexy time. You can see the setup of future installments and further plotline development that makes me curious about which direction Zerach’s “brothers” will go. This was a quick read and a bit of a departure from your typical vampire/shifter paranormal romance genres.

Isadora is attracted to her boss, Zarechiel. She doesn't know he's a demon-fighting archangel who is also attracted to her because of her innocence and purity. But her childhood friend Jake also wants her for her innocence, and blackmails her into accepting his marriage proposal.

Zarech realizes there's a demon taint on Jake, and wants to protect Isadora. More than that, he wants her for himself. But Isadora is holding back because of a secret, and Zarech would have to reveal his true self to her. And then there's Jake to deal with...

***

The Entangled Covet Line of books is usually a sure bet with me. But not this one. I thought that Isadora was too innocent and pure, to the point of being saccharine and naive. I thought Zarech was a bit of s beta hero. And what was up with Stanley? He suddenly showed up and didn't seem to serve any purpose in the story.

Predictable plot and cardboard characters. I'm really sorry, Missy. This one just didn't do it for me.

Zerachial isn't human. He's an archangel here with his brothers to protect the human race. He cares for his secretary, Isadora, and she for him, but both hide this from each other. The attraction between these two is both tender and romantic. This relationship is very special. Sadly Dora is being forced to marry a childhood friend, Jake. She needs to save her godparents from bankruptcy. Danger increases when a demon starts stalking her. What will Zerach do to protect her? Trusting an Angel is a entertaining and solid story. I love the characters. They are charming, entertaining and determined. Missy Jane writes people that care about. This book is the first in the Archangels series so I hope we'll see more of the other characters. This book kept me entertained. I'm looking forward to more stories of the archangels and demons.

Hmmm...is thinking naughty thoughts about an archangel a sin? Dora has running fantasies about Zerach (her boss) not knowing he is actually an archangel. When Zerach begins to sit up and take notice things in Dora's life is taking a turn and not for the better. He saves her from an attack, fights demons, deals with her godparents, and a crazed friend. This relationship has some obstacles to say the least.
The cast of characters are appealing and charismatic. I really hope the author has this planned as a series and if so is Rafe next?
Very enjoyable..I recommend you buy your copy because you may want to add to your shelf of hot, sexy men.

Trusting An Angel by Missy Jane was an intriguing read with many colourful characters, tense moments with some light-hearted points as well. A cast of characters from archangels to demons to half demons and humans make this book one entertaining read and a good start to the Archangels book series.

I enjoyed this book and it was a pretty quick read. Isadora was a great, strong willed characters with some realistic flaws. Zerach is a hottie. Although he is an angel, he definitely has a bad boy vibe. I totally wanted to kick Jake in the groin. The brothers are all pretty awesome. I'd say Rafe is my fave. Overall, it's a good story with action and some hotness.

I was given a gift copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Zerach and his brothers have chosen to live in the human realm and protect them from the unknown demons walking in their midst. Isadora has been Zerach’s secretary to his human persona for a few years now and has secretly loved him all this time but has issues of her own that keep her at a distance from him. Jake and Isadora have been friends since child hood but have grown apart as many people tend to do. Things get interesting when all of a sudden Jake just HAS to have Isadora. Not only does this make no sense to her since they haven’t seen each other in years but it brings out a side of Zerach that she has never seen before. This is a wonderful story about angels and demons and the humans they are sworn to protect and also has some pretty steamy scenes in it involving angels doing some not very angelic things *wink wink*. I would highly recommend this book.

This was a fascinating book. Missy writes with a different twist and many of the conflicts in the book didn't resolve in a predictable way. I like that in a book. I received this as a prize/gift in a facebook party so it wasn't a book I set out to investigate and purchase. That being said I will be looking for her subsequent books from Entangled and at Samhain. She has a Gargoyle book that just released and I wasn't sure if it was romance or horror based on the cover...it's erotic romance and I will be getting that one as soon as budget allows! I got a good feel for the rest of the brother angels and I can't wait to read their stories of becomming "fallen".

I enjoyed this story. It took a while for me to get involved. I have never been big on the paranormal level but this book gave a nice balance. I actually started this book read a few chapters then started a finish a different one before returning to Trusting an Angel. I am glad I returned to it. I enjoyed it greatly once I finally gave it a good chance to catch my attention!!!!
