Golden Sapphire

Rate this book
A love story set in stone

Samantha King has dedicated all her young life to mining sapphires – and at a cost. Her husband is killed in a mining accident trying to get her the biggest sapphire he can find – a golden sapphire she finds clutched in his hand when his body is recovered.

Where there is one such sapphire, there are probably more, and they probably stretch into Old Dan’s concession.

When Old Dan dies five years later, his nephew, Mark, comes to the area to wrap up his affairs. He is young, confident, distinguished, and very handsome – and clearly interested in Samantha.

But Samantha is only interested in Old Dan’s mining rights. Is there some way she can persuade him to sell them to her?

And is there some way Mark can persuade her life is not just about sapphires?

The book started out with a great premise that was handled well. Once the romance befuddlement kicked in, the book evaporated into a gelatinous, hot mess.
